REALLY hit or miss with Dr. Prudich in surgery, and when it's a miss, it's a wrong-ballpark-in-an-entirely-different-state kinda miss.

In particular it makes me have some orthopedic issues. Dr Humeniuk was recommended by my geneticist. He listens better than 98% of doctors I have met. He is incredibly thorough. His office staff is caring and they seem quite happy working there. I appreciate all the extra time he spends with me because his insights have been invaluable in understanding the big picture of what I have going on. He's even given me some great ideas for non-surgical interventions and not-orthopedic issues (such as doctors to see and things to talk to my other current specialists about). I belong to an online support group for people with my chronic genetic condition. In that group we have what we call "the good Dr list". I suggested adding him to it recently and when I did, at least a dozen other members piped up to say that they see him and that he is phenomenal. One of them called him "the unicorn" of doctors. We usually talk pretty frankly about bad experiences and we rarely all agree on an overall good experience with a doctor. There's almost always someone who has had a poor experience in our group, but no one had with Dr. Humeniuk. That says a ton about his focus on his patients, especially considering we are people who see a lot of different doctors. I appreciate his commitment to my health and helping me see and understand my own health from his perspective. His staff is kind and happy and I can see that he treats them very well. Sometimes you do wait a short while to see him (15-25 minutes). I've had specialists who expect me to wait 4 hours or more, so that's nothing to me. I suppose if you expect to be seen exactly at your appointment time, try someone else but that's not something that bothers me. His skill and willingness to listen and help me understand more than makes up for any short wait.

I am so grateful for Dr. Humeniuk. He is a great doctor who takes time with his patients and…read morereally listens to them. He will go with more conservative treatments and is in no rush to send you to surgery. I had a recent MRI which showed severe arthritis but he looked at it more closely and realized my pain was something else and I was pain free within 2 days. He also took the time to listen to all my complaints and ran some blood tests and discovered an illness that no other doctor has been able to find. It would have been easy for him to just see the MRI results and move on, but because he did not I am finally able to have answers for all my chronic issues. I will be forever grateful for him. The front office people are also very kind and helpful.

Additionally I love the training they provide to help prevent future repeat injuries! You don't have to go back for treatments for weeks & weeks! They explicitly said that by paying the higher co-pay, that I was ensuring I would not come further out of pocket, and if anything would receive a refund. Then months later, i find out they were incorrect and my insurance was applying both co-pays, and that it was their mistake for not making me aware of this possibility. Now I owe them an additional $35 per visit, on top of the $55 I had already paid them. I'm glad I didn't go for as many visits as they were recommending (pushing in a salesy way) because then I would owe them so so much money as I did not find out about their misleading representations until much later. It's absolutely not worth $90 out of pocket (on top of the hundreds they bill my insurance) for a 15 minute visit where all that happens is the doctor massages my arm for 5 mins and then talks to me about dogs the other 10. I feel like I got swindled here and I will never go back.
