Sure, there are exits all along the road, but some are close to I-88 and some are in the middle of the quaint, little towns that dot southern New York. Schenevus, however you pronounce it (we asked a local and I can't remember), is one of those towns. And this gas pump is clearly as back-woods as you can get. You can't pay at the pump, you don't pay in advance, and there is one pump handle per grade of gas. When you lift the lever to start pumping the old fashioned meter starts rolling as you depress the handle. The store was just your regular convenience store... nothing special. I didn't like how the employees were discussing their business problems with the customers, as I thought that was unprofessional. Perhaps in Schenevus everything is open and shared. While I never try to end up in this little town, I seem to find myself getting gas here several times. If you want an old fashioned experience, come here.

During the winter months they take the time to pressure wash off any snow/ice on your windshield and ice buildup on your front grille. I enjoy using Hoffman Car Washes for the ease of the process. When the line moves right along the entire washing process takes less than 10 mins. Perfect for when you're running errands. The free vacuums are a huge plus for removing my dogs' fur and keeping my interior clean. I find being an ultimate wash member to be very budget friendly this time of year; winter is sloppy in NY! And with my traveling around CNY to the Capital District it's very convenient also- most locations take the ultimate wash membership.
