Came here early December 2025. I had gone to my OBGYN the day before going to Viks due to unnatural…read morebreast pain, swelling, & spreading redness. I left the OB completely freaked out (the on call doc when I went was absolutely awful) & not to mention, with no diagnosis or meds or anything at all. As someone who suffers from anxiety, I had a full blown anxiety attack for the next 24 hours. The following day I couldn't take it and came down the road to viks. Due to the intimate nature of my issue, I requested a female doctor but they told me they only had male; so I just took what I could get, not a huge deal. Front desk was fairly nice, filled out the papers, and they took me back fairly quickly. My doctor was Dr. Mcalasdair (apologies if i spelled that wrong). While I did originally want an ultra sound, he attempted talking me out of it. We went back and forth for a little bit but ultimately he said he was pretty confident he knew what was causing this, and while he didnt think an ultrasound was needed, he was willing to call their ultrasound person to come down and do it if I was adamant. I eventually caved and agreed to not do the ultrasound. Although he did make a little dig during our convo which I didn't appreciate (he said something along the lines of "I've been doing this for 30 years so I think I know what I'm doing). Please don't be condescending. Regardless of how long you've been in medicine, people are still allowed to advocate for themselves & their desires for their treatment. Anyway - aside from that, he was attentive and reassuring. However I've got to give it to the nurse - she really soothed me and my anxieties. She was such a sweetheart. She was maybe a middle aged lady with a British accent. She was so attentive, answered all my questions, checked on me, and when she could tell how nervous I was, she even brought me a little mini teddy bear with a viks shirt on to hold onto. No matter how old you are, little gestures like that really mean something, especially when you're scared. In the end, what I got was an IV in the arm with antibiotics. I believe it took like 45 min to fully drain. While I just sat there and waited, my nurse even brought me a heated blanket to make sure I was warm and comfortable. She was the best. They wrote me a prescription for an oral antibiotic but we were unsure if we were gonna make it on time before the pharmacy closed. On the off chance we didn't, they gave me my first pill ther so I wouldn't have to worry about missing a dose that night (in case we weren't able to get it until the next day). Thankfully we did make it to the pharmacy before they closed though. But that was really thoughtful. In the end, we ended up paying the ER price upon leaving. I haven't received any other bill in the mail so I can't speak on that experience yet... Also - the doctor called the next day to check up on me but I was unable to answer so he left a message. I called back the following day, but he wasn't busy with a patient so a message was taken. No call back. Called again the next day, he wasn't at the lakeway location, he was at another location. So I called the other viks location I was told he was at and they took a message since he was busy with a patient and told me he would call me back. He never did. I called again a day or two later back to the lakeway location and they gave me the same story and said they'd take a message but I told them I had already tried that multiple times and got no call back and told them I just wanted to speak to anyone on staff nurse or otherwise for them to answer my questions. So they put me on hold and I spoke to another doc I'm assuming, but not the one I saw, not dr macalasdair. This doc was pretty vague and dismissive with his answers. Basically it was like a couple word answers or "I can't answer that unless you come back in & we look at you again"...... mkay. He was unhelpful. Between the snarky response when I was advocating for myself in the room & the lack of call back and unhelpful response I got when I finally demanded to speak to anyone doctor on staff, that's why I took one star off. Otherwise, I had a solid experience. They fixed me and calmed my nerves at the same time. If anything goes awry with billing, I'll be sure to update my review. But for now, thanks for helping me!

Before going, I checked my Humana insurance, which listed this facility as a provider, so I arrived expecting to use my coverage. Once I arrived, I was told they do not accept insurance, which was very confusing and concerning given how they were listed under my plan. I was then informed that costs would start at around $800 or more, and according to the receptionist, they do not perform X-rays. Despite my insurance copay being $45, I was insisted upon to pay $800 upfront before any examination, without being seen by a doctor or receiving any medical evaluation. Due to the excessive cost, I declined treatment and left. The receptionist was extremely rude and dismissive throughout the interaction, which only made the situation worse. Being pressured for a large upfront payment before any care was provided raised serious concerns. Overall, between the lack of transparency regarding insurance, exorbitant pricing, and unprofessional behavior, I chose not to proceed with treatment and will not be returning. This experience left me very uncomfortable and concerned about how patients are treated here.

I did exactly that -- during normal business hours -- and once again was routed to an AI bot instead of a human being. At that point, I decided to move on and seek care elsewhere. Then today, I unexpectedly received a text message stating that my "appointment previously booked with BWell Clinic - Lakeway on Wed 5/20 at 11:00 AM is rescheduled." This was extremely confusing considering I was previously told I was never on the schedule to begin with. At 11:45 AM, during regular business hours, I attempted to call the clinic again. Once again, I was forced through the AI system. The bot repeatedly requested my name and birthdate. Even after providing the information multiple times, it continued asking for my birthdate over and over again until I finally gave up and hung up the phone in frustration. At this point, my issue is no longer just a scheduling mistake -- it is the complete lack of human customer service and accountability. Patients should be able to reach an actual person, especially when dealing with scheduling errors and medical appointments. Technology should support a business, not replace basic communication and respect for patients. I will not be doing business with this clinic.

I had to look up if CVS worked with them and they did so I stoped in. I asked if they load chime cards. The cashier said yes. So I put $360 on the card. He asked for another $4.95. I asked, what is that for... he replied he doesn't know it must be coming from chime. He said It's an activation fee. I said that's odd. I've never got that before whatever... he then said he would need another $4.95. I said I just handed you $360 just take it out of that. He said no additionally. I gave him another $5. I thought it was strange. So I got on my app and asked chime. Why did you charge me $4.95? They said we don't charge a fee. It must be a third-party. I'm familiar with POS systems and the cash discount. But in Texas, you need to tell the consumer that there is a charge before the purchase... Don't blame the other company! I wasn't making a purchase, but that's not the point ... the cashier wasn't properly trained and didn't tell me that there would be a third-party fee which Walgreens does not have. Or any other that I know of. I went back in to inform them that what they're doing is illegal. They need to have a sign posted for the consumer to make that decision before being charged the processing fee. Don't lie when confronted! The manager was just as oblivious and said he would pass it on to his director. Instead of I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I was not aware of this. I will make this right in the future so no one else needs to go through this. And most of all that we are not breaking the law. Texas Law: As you could see here. In Texas, charging a consumer a "processing fee" (often called a credit card surcharge or convenience fee) without prior disclosure is problematic and can be illegal under certain circumstances. Texas law has a complex history on this topic. Under Texas Business and Commerce Code § 604A.0021, it is technically prohibited for a seller to impose a surcharge on a buyer who uses a credit card instead of cash, check, or similar payment methods. A similar prohibition applies to debit cards under § 604A.002. Violations can lead to civil penalties up to $500 per violation. My note from chime: Support I'm sorry to hear about the unexpected $4.95 activation fee. Chime does not charge any activation fees for opening an account or activating your card. If you see a charge like this, it may be related to a third-party service or a merchant, not Chime itself. Had to vent.... Enjoy my $4.95 POS company. Dumb CVS.

He immediately did and told me that he had just taken his B/P with a Cuff we have and noticed his Pulse Rate was only 49 ! That alarmed me and I took it myself by Holding his Wrist. It was at 50 BPM so I asked him once he felt a little less dizzy to get up and walk quickly down our hall and back. I again took his Pulse and discovered there was really No Increase. We discussed his situation and decided to go to a local Urgent Care Facility. We originally tried another Urgent Care on RM 620 but they did Not Accept our Medicare/United Healthcare PPO insurance ! The kind young lady at the front desk advised us to go to St. David's just across the Street ! Upon Ariving at this facility we were greeted by the kind young man sitting at the front desk. Since we had not scheduled an Appointment on line he advised us to 'check-in' at the kiosk. He was then extremely helpful in taking our Personal and Insurance Information. We Only waited less than 7 Minutes and were called back by a Gentleman named Patrick. It's a Small world since my husband actually knew Patrick from a Part-time job they had both held previously. After directing us back to a clean and tidy room Patrick was very thorough with his Questions about my husbands overall health, the current medications he was taking and the problem he was experiencing. Patrick proceeded to take my husband's Temperature, Pulse Rate and Blood Pressure. Patrick knew right away that he would need to do an Electrocardiogram and he immediately came back with the EKG machine. After the Test was completed We waited just a few more minutes before David entered our room and introduced himself as the "PA" (Physicians Assistant). David is More Than Qualified, as I could quickly tell, by the way he thoroughly explained the 'Bradycardia' that showed up on the EKG my husband had just had. As they spoke my husband mentioned that he had 'forgotten' to take his Propranolol medication the morning Before so he took it Last Night and then Again this Morning ! I was Shocked and Dismayed and so was the PA, David, by my husband's remarks ! He had Overdosed himself on a 'BetaBlocker' and that was obviously the cause of his Slower Pulse rate ! After listening to my Husbands Heart and Lungs David advised my husband to wean himself off the Propranolol by taking 1/2 dosage for 1 week then 1/3 dosage for the next. Since this medication was not helping his Mild Tremor there was No Need to Continue taking it ! Thank You David, you were Very Informative and Caring towards my husband which Is Sincerely Appreciated. Unfortunately this type of Examination, Treatment and Explanation towards Patients is Not the Norm These Days !! As an RN with Years of Experience I can Highly recommend the care that was given by All Three of the gentleman who were working here on 11/14/2024 ! Thank You So Very Much for Your Care and Professionalism !

There's the main hospital which is quite large, and across the drive is a tall building that houses all of the specialty clinic offices (i.e., cardiology, obgyn, colorectal surgeon, GIs, etc). A complete renovation of the interior was completed during Covid when the clinics were closed. It's all bright, shiny and new, and now all the check in counters are on each side of a very wide long hallway on every floor. I really like all of the physicians and NPs that I see. It has taken me over six years to build my medical team and several of them are part of BSW. My favorite by far is my cardiologist. My least "dreaded" appointment to attend. Would be five stars, but a few things to note: like a few others have said, scheduling can be a bit of a nightmare at times. There's a central line you must call if you are unable to schedule through your patient portal (which is most often the case). I really wish I had the ability to contact each physician's office separately to speak to the schedulers who I personally know. And yes, some specialists are booked months out, sometimes into the following year. The specialty clinics appear to be understaffed. The parking garage is also not very convenient. It is located a little far away, and is not idea for someone with limited mobility. I have an inpatient procedure coming in the future, so I will be able to give an updated review of my experience at that time. Wish me luck!
