I have been to Dr Desireddi three times. On each visit his staff was unable to draw blood without multiple attempts and bruising.

This Austin Urology office and Dr. Cuellar failed me miserably today. They call Austin Urology and left a message at approx. 1:35 and they asked me if I'd wait for the Dr.'s Office to call back, I said I'd wait. (little did I know that my wait would exceed an hour before I was able to contact someone that actually answered the phone, the appointment desk (thanks to the appointment desk for at least answering the phone. After several more minutes of being on-hold I (not ARA) was finally transferred to Dr. Cuellar's nurse. Once I explained the situation and gave my phone to the CT Technician and they explained again and being put on hold again for almost 10 minutes, the Nurse finally said she was unable to reach you (Dr. Cuellar) at which point I decided I wasn't going to wait even longer and I was going to cancel my CT scan with ARA. So, what now Dr. Cuellar? My appointment next week was supposed to be to review my CT scan, which hasn't been done (with or without contrast). The phone system for Austin Urology is one of the worst I've experienced and trust me I have to deal with the VA's system and yours is by far the worst. I am anxiously awaiting a decision on whether or not my appointment for next week is either cancelled or rescheduled once again.

Unfortunately, I've been to this location more times than I would have ever cared to over the…read moreyears. There's the main hospital which is quite large, and across the drive is a tall building that houses all of the specialty clinic offices (i.e., cardiology, obgyn, colorectal surgeon, GIs, etc). A complete renovation of the interior was completed during Covid when the clinics were closed. It's all bright, shiny and new, and now all the check in counters are on each side of a very wide long hallway on every floor. I really like all of the physicians and NPs that I see. It has taken me over six years to build my medical team and several of them are part of BSW. My favorite by far is my cardiologist. My least "dreaded" appointment to attend. Would be five stars, but a few things to note: like a few others have said, scheduling can be a bit of a nightmare at times. There's a central line you must call if you are unable to schedule through your patient portal (which is most often the case). I really wish I had the ability to contact each physician's office separately to speak to the schedulers who I personally know. And yes, some specialists are booked months out, sometimes into the following year. The specialty clinics appear to be understaffed. The parking garage is also not very convenient. It is located a little far away, and is not idea for someone with limited mobility. I have an inpatient procedure coming in the future, so I will be able to give an updated review of my experience at that time. Wish me luck!

I had to come here recently for a surgical procedure, and I have to say that it was one of the most…read moresmoothest and seamless experiences that I have ever had. Pretty much everything went better than expected, and I couldn't be happier with the quality of care and professionalism here. First off the scheduling process was easy as they called me to set something up, and I was very pleased to see that they had availability within a week. A couple of years ago when I tried to schedule the same procedure, they were looking out a few weeks. I asked them to call me back, but they never did, so kudos to them for improving their scheduling and patient access experience. As soon as I arrived and checked in, I went downstairs and within a few minutes the nurses came out and called my name. There was minimal wait time. Next thing you know, I was on the gurney and they were starting to prep. The nurses were very helpful and polite and made sure that everything was good. Both doctors came in and explained the process and within a couple of minutes the nurses wheeled me over to the OR. When I woke up the nurse was attentive and asked what I wanted to drink. Soon after the surgeon (Dr. Cohen) came in and gave me the feedback which was positive news. And right after that, I was ready to be discharged and the nurse went over specific constructions and gave me my packet. The whole process was really smooth and everyone here was on top of their game. They also mentioned to me that they use a lighter CO2 for anesthesia because I noticed I did not feel groggy at all, which is great! I didn't need to be escorted out on a wheelchair, but it's their policy, really great concierge like service from start to finish. I can't say enough about the excellent quality service and professionalism here. I highly recommend this hospital and will definitely go back for my future visits.
