I left the OB completely freaked out (the on call doc when I went was absolutely awful) & not to mention, with no diagnosis or meds or anything at all. As someone who suffers from anxiety, I had a full blown anxiety attack for the next 24 hours. The following day I couldn't take it and came down the road to viks. Due to the intimate nature of my issue, I requested a female doctor but they told me they only had male; so I just took what I could get, not a huge deal. Front desk was fairly nice, filled out the papers, and they took me back fairly quickly. My doctor was Dr. Mcalasdair (apologies if i spelled that wrong). While I did originally want an ultra sound, he attempted talking me out of it. We went back and forth for a little bit but ultimately he said he was pretty confident he knew what was causing this, and while he didnt think an ultrasound was needed, he was willing to call their ultrasound person to come down and do it if I was adamant. I eventually caved and agreed to not do the ultrasound. Although he did make a little dig during our convo which I didn't appreciate (he said something along the lines of "I've been doing this for 30 years so I think I know what I'm doing). Please don't be condescending. Regardless of how long you've been in medicine, people are still allowed to advocate for themselves & their desires for their treatment. Anyway - aside from that, he was attentive and reassuring. However I've got to give it to the nurse - she really soothed me and my anxieties. She was such a sweetheart. She was maybe a middle aged lady with a British accent. She was so attentive, answered all my questions, checked on me, and when she could tell how nervous I was, she even brought me a little mini teddy bear with a viks shirt on to hold onto. No matter how old you are, little gestures like that really mean something, especially when you're scared. In the end, what I got was an IV in the arm with antibiotics. I believe it took like 45 min to fully drain. While I just sat there and waited, my nurse even brought me a heated blanket to make sure I was warm and comfortable. She was the best. They wrote me a prescription for an oral antibiotic but we were unsure if we were gonna make it on time before the pharmacy closed. On the off chance we didn't, they gave me my first pill ther so I wouldn't have to worry about missing a dose that night (in case we weren't able to get it until the next day). Thankfully we did make it to the pharmacy before they closed though. But that was really thoughtful. In the end, we ended up paying the ER price upon leaving. I haven't received any other bill in the mail so I can't speak on that experience yet... Also - the doctor called the next day to check up on me but I was unable to answer so he left a message. I called back the following day, but he wasn't busy with a patient so a message was taken. No call back. Called again the next day, he wasn't at the lakeway location, he was at another location. So I called the other viks location I was told he was at and they took a message since he was busy with a patient and told me he would call me back. He never did. I called again a day or two later back to the lakeway location and they gave me the same story and said they'd take a message but I told them I had already tried that multiple times and got no call back and told them I just wanted to speak to anyone on staff nurse or otherwise for them to answer my questions. So they put me on hold and I spoke to another doc I'm assuming, but not the one I saw, not dr macalasdair. This doc was pretty vague and dismissive with his answers. Basically it was like a couple word answers or "I can't answer that unless you come back in & we look at you again"...... mkay. He was unhelpful. Between the snarky response when I was advocating for myself in the room & the lack of call back and unhelpful response I got when I finally demanded to speak to anyone doctor on staff, that's why I took one star off. Otherwise, I had a solid experience. They fixed me and calmed my nerves at the same time. If anything goes awry with billing, I'll be sure to update my review. But for now, thanks for helping me!

Before going, I checked my Humana insurance, which listed this facility as a provider, so I arrived expecting to use my coverage. Once I arrived, I was told they do not accept insurance, which was very confusing and concerning given how they were listed under my plan. I was then informed that costs would start at around $800 or more, and according to the receptionist, they do not perform X-rays. Despite my insurance copay being $45, I was insisted upon to pay $800 upfront before any examination, without being seen by a doctor or receiving any medical evaluation. Due to the excessive cost, I declined treatment and left. The receptionist was extremely rude and dismissive throughout the interaction, which only made the situation worse. Being pressured for a large upfront payment before any care was provided raised serious concerns. Overall, between the lack of transparency regarding insurance, exorbitant pricing, and unprofessional behavior, I chose not to proceed with treatment and will not be returning. This experience left me very uncomfortable and concerned about how patients are treated here.

There seem to be no legit "Rapid" PCR places. If there are, they are few and far between. So I settled on finding a place that could see us ASAP. That proved to be tough. EVERYTHING was booked at least three days out, until I found FastMed. Saturday night I was able to schedule appointment for Sunday morning. We arrived a few minutes early. Front desk receptionist was pleasant and processed our intake quickly. Within 5-10 minutes we were in a room and getting tested by the nurse. She said it would be 10 minutes for rapid test results and 5-7 days for PCR (we opted to get both tests). It was disappointing to hear PCR results would take that long, but that is due to the volume of tests going to the third party lab, not FastMed's fault. Doctor came in 10 minutes later with the rapid test results and she was negative. She further explained it would likely be more like 3-4 days for PCR results but they are overestimating because the lab volume changes daily. I can totally appreciate this approach. And that is the same amount of time (or better) for results if we had chosen another place with appointment three days out and 24-48 hours for results. The doctor chatted with my daughter for a couple of minutes; more like she listened to my daughter talk her ear off about wanting to become a doctor now! We were in and out in thirty minutes. I highly recommend this FastMed location for COVID testing! This is a tough time for all persons in the medical industry. Give grace and have patience.

They tested me for flu and Covid and once I tested positive for Covid they set me up with several meds that gave me almost immediate relief once I returned home. It felt like I'd swallows a thousand razor blades followed by a cup of habanero juice, the pain was so severe. They prescribed me a nice throat numbing rinse which helped. We've been back for other issues when our GP can't see us quickly. Highly recommend.

We discussed his situation and decided to go to a local Urgent Care Facility. We originally tried another Urgent Care on RM 620 but they did Not Accept our Medicare/United Healthcare PPO insurance ! The kind young lady at the front desk advised us to go to St. David's just across the Street ! Upon Ariving at this facility we were greeted by the kind young man sitting at the front desk. Since we had not scheduled an Appointment on line he advised us to 'check-in' at the kiosk. He was then extremely helpful in taking our Personal and Insurance Information. We Only waited less than 7 Minutes and were called back by a Gentleman named Patrick. It's a Small world since my husband actually knew Patrick from a Part-time job they had both held previously. After directing us back to a clean and tidy room Patrick was very thorough with his Questions about my husbands overall health, the current medications he was taking and the problem he was experiencing. Patrick proceeded to take my husband's Temperature, Pulse Rate and Blood Pressure. Patrick knew right away that he would need to do an Electrocardiogram and he immediately came back with the EKG machine. After the Test was completed We waited just a few more minutes before David entered our room and introduced himself as the "PA" (Physicians Assistant). David is More Than Qualified, as I could quickly tell, by the way he thoroughly explained the 'Bradycardia' that showed up on the EKG my husband had just had. As they spoke my husband mentioned that he had 'forgotten' to take his Propranolol medication the morning Before so he took it Last Night and then Again this Morning ! I was Shocked and Dismayed and so was the PA, David, by my husband's remarks ! He had Overdosed himself on a 'BetaBlocker' and that was obviously the cause of his Slower Pulse rate ! After listening to my Husbands Heart and Lungs David advised my husband to wean himself off the Propranolol by taking 1/2 dosage for 1 week then 1/3 dosage for the next. Since this medication was not helping his Mild Tremor there was No Need to Continue taking it ! Thank You David, you were Very Informative and Caring towards my husband which Is Sincerely Appreciated. Unfortunately this type of Examination, Treatment and Explanation towards Patients is Not the Norm These Days !! As an RN with Years of Experience I can Highly recommend the care that was given by All Three of the gentleman who were working here on 11/14/2024 ! The team went into action immediately. It has now been removed and several of my symptoms have already disappeared. The care here is exemplary from the top down. Even the guy who sweeps my room asks me if I need anything. Never have I had anyone care so much about my comfort and well-being. It's also clean and bright, and has restaurant quality food served to order. AAA+++ all the way.

He was very quickly checked out in the ER and, after tests, scans, and lab work, found he needed a stent 99% blockage in one artery. They put in the stent and he went home the next day. The food was great, the entire facility was very clean, if there was a need, they listened and promptly responded. Everyone worked in an efficient but thorough manner in each of the departments we dealt with. Since leaving we have been contacted about and then scheduled cardiac follow up care. I cannot find a single thing wrong with this hospital. Thank you very much for saving my husband's life.

He's balanced in his views with modern western medicine and the use of alternative supplements. What I really love about seeing Dr Freeland is his ability to listen, take an interest, and showing empathy with me and my issues. I spent 5 years trying to find a solution to a problem and saw many doctors and specialist...he found my answer or least a major puzzle piece. He makes you a part of the soliton. He asks you what direction you feel comfortable about going in. I feel important there and that I don't have to be my own advocate with getting answers. He's a partner in my journey to getting healthy. I also like that he is a teaching doctor. He always has an intern or student with him and I can tell that they respect him. They all reflect his values and he actively teaches during our visits. I am so thankful to have met him. He is very genuine, warm, and authentic. He's a very rare doctor. While I do think he can get easily distracted and it's easy to for us to get sidetracked in another conversation he always takes care of the job and I'm also easily distracted so I am in no position to judge. My blood was taken by a straight up genius in blood taking, I mean honestly the staff at the front office was more there for me than my own blood mother. His policy is if our children need to see him, even if the door is closed at 5pm, he will see us if we're there. We're lucky enough neither of my kids need to be seen for bigger issues. But the normal fever, cold, hand foot mouth, pink eye issues that happen so often cause our kids do go to school, Dr. Saenz has been great at getting us checked out and giving out doctor's notes and approvals. Also, he's super supportive of us being a bilingual family, telling my daughter more than once he wished his father taught him more Spanish and she should learn Mandarin because it's helpful. Oh and I cosleep with my kids and he's okay with that too. As long as the kids and mom are well rested ;)) Although there can be ways to not cosleep and Dr. Saenz can also share lots of tips, he doesn't push us to change. Such as I was in the ER in 2025 and had hematuria. The ER doctor did not mention to me that I should follow up on the hematuria. That was in 2025. During this visit at the ER I did have a CT scan which came back normal. Dr. Desirrei pointed out my CT scan was normal. That was one year ago. During my visit he failed to let me discuss my concerns. I spent less than 10 minutes in his office. He said that I will have to have a cystoscopy. That was it. I will not be using him as my urologist especially having to have a procedure. Poor bedside manner.
