Weirdly, I broke my foot a few months later and ... same! I'm a senior citizen, I had never broken a bone ever before and I don't have health condition that would make me prone to breaking bones - things happen! The care I received at UNC Urgent Care was outstanding. I was seen promptly, received excellent medical care and I was treated with kindness and compassion. Friendly, professional, supremely competent, I would recommend UNC Urgent Care to anyone and everyone. I hope I don't have any more broken bones or medical emergencies but if I need urgent care, this will be one of my top choices. Great place, clean, friendly, professional and kind - outstanding care!

I completed the paperwork and didn't have to sit again as the insurance approval came through and they took me to exam room. The timing, once registered, to being shown to exam room and between the person coming in to take my information on the laptop and the PA to begin her diagnosis, was as to be expected. A good click. The wait to go for x ray was short enough after a conversation with the PA. Then I sat for 2+ hours in pain, after several positions and xrays, while they waited for a radiologist to read my x rays. Although, every 15 to 20 minutes, someone poked their head in the door to see if I was okay, that wait was too long. By the time I was back in my car, it was 1 o'clock. I only chose that location as it was the closest when the injury happened. I live 30 min from there. Luckily, there is no fracture. Everyone was nice, friendly, and acknowledging my wait, but still. Saw 2 other patients as I left.

Lack of Care: I felt that the staff at FastMed did not prioritize my care and were more concerned with casual conversations. High Cost and Inappropriate Prescription: I was charged $50 for a PA visit and received a prescription for a brand-name medication that was not covered by insurance, costing $425. I looked up the prescription and it comes in generic. But the PA was not concerned about updating the medication to the generic. Patient's Condition: I was very sick with a fever and needed medication immediately. Pharmacy Contact: I even provided the PA with the contact information for their pharmacy (Walgreens, 6 Forks Rd., phone number 919-787-1155) and asked them to call directly. PA's Incompetence: The PA failed to read the patient's notes, causing a delay in treatment despite my urgent condition. Medical Experience: I had trouble getting critical medicine and reaching the "PA's" office. Appointment Policy: Most medical facilities have a policy where if someone is more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, they have to reschedule 24 hours in advance or pay a fee. The policy should go both ways. Recommended Doctor: I hugely recommend Capital Family Medicine and Dr. Short.

I found this place online and decided to do an online registration (I'm the kind of a person that likes to do everything online instead of calling). My appointment was at 8:30am, so I got there like at 8:10am. Unfortunately, they were understaffed and opening at 9am. I was gonna wait outside, but Keshia, one of the nurses, help me and quickly checked me in. The doctor was really nice and help me with my ear pain (I didn't get her name). I was out of there at 9am. I recommend to do the online registration and maybe calling beforehand to verify the time. Also try to get there early if possible.

I waited in the lobby for an hour because the employee who handles non-DOT drug testing had stepped out. The biggest issue was that no one at the front desk could tell me when she would be returning or answer any of the other questions I had. The staff seemed completely unprepared and unsure of what was going on. I understand that unexpected things happen, but the lack of communication and customer service was extremely frustrating. I expected a much more organized experience, especially for something as time-sensitive as a clinical requirement. Oh yeah I left she's still out .

Knowing the complexity of my many chronic health conditions and my long medication list, it would be important to me and the staff if I bring my detailed medication list, so I emphasized, many times to make sure my property arrives to my room with me, yet, it was lost for 24 hours hours. During that time, after a complex spinal surgery, I wasn't given my correct medications, or the correct doses at the correct times, which happens frequently when I'm hospitalized, not only at Rex. Once it was found, after I complained to Patients Relations, the head of security came, but for reasons I still don't know. He did a good job explaining how the security process was supposed to work, but he didn't explain how my property got missing. especially, after me emphasizing it's importance to my hospital stay. It was as if he couldn't realize the procedure wasn't relevant. What's relevant is what actually happened and why. His explanation was the most incompetent, unprofessional, and unethical explanation imaginable. His staff members were sleep so he, evidently, didn't think that losing my property was worth waking up his staff members, who knew the details of what happened. As if that wasn't demoralizing enough, he then told me to file a complaint while walking out. Mostafa Foluke'.

I am so pleased with the care that Dr. Nasir provides at Avance Care on Strickland Rd. in Raleigh…read more She is very knowledgeable and professional, and perhaps just as important, listens carefully to what you have to say. For the past few weeks I had been having severe nausea lasting several hours at a time as well as occasional sharp pains in my upper chest when I went to see her. She knew my neurologist has been treating me for migraines and also that I'm taking a generic over-the-counter pill that includes 250 mg. of aspirin which, if I'm having two headaches in one day, is 1000 mg. Although she is ordering an ultrasound to make sure it's not my gallbladder causing my health issues, she feels that the amount of aspirin I am taking (until the once-a-month shot my neurologist has just prescribed for me takes effect), is causing my extreme nausea and pain. She has prescribed Prilosec and as she said what she thought is causing my problem it immediately made sense to me. And her young assistant and office staff are just as attentive and helpful as Dr. Nasir.
