Mint Thai is a great spot when you are in the mood for an authentic Thai dinner! *Golden Shrimp Rolls: perfectly fried shrimp rolls with a side of delicious shrimp chips *Tom Kha Coconut Chicken Soup: very flavorful and tangy soup with a rich amount of spices and chicken *Yellow Curry: sweet with just the right amount of heat *Pad Kee Mao: delicious flat rice noodles with the perfect amount of kick Overall, I had a great experience with the food here. The service was also fantastic! Very friendly and efficient. Definitely check out this spot! read more

Ordered via Door Dash. Fairly disappointing meal overall. The crispy chicken was very very over cooked and super hard to chew. If you look at the pics, you can see how dark they are- its not just the sauce. They really cooked the sh*t out of it to the point where my jaw was sore after trying to chew 3 pieces. Do NOT recommend. The shrimp rolls were meh- they were basically shrimp wrapped in spring roll paper then fried. Not a great value for what you pay for. The carb fried rice was decent but could've had more crab. The pad Kee mao was very bland- I've definitely had better. It's my go to Thai dish so very disappointing. Would not order again. read more

The inside of the restaurant is nothing special, kind of plain, but I like that there are never too many people there. I think they mostly do take-out. Sometimes my food is way too spicy, but it's always delicious. I like the shrimp appetizer that comes with shrimp chips, the tom yum soup, & the thai tea. read more

Cleanliness: 5 Quality: 5 Service: 5 Taste: 5 Stopped by for lunch with my peers and were seated immediately upon arrival (they had just opened). The waiter was quick to get our orders and the the Thai tea I ordered came fast. My only complaint was that it wasn't creamy and I expect that is because they used milk instead of half and half. We got drunken noodles and pad Thai and it all came with a complimentary salad and egg roll. The egg rolls were just right. The pad Thai was perfect and from what my peers say, so was the drunken noodles. I noticed that the exceptional formatting on the checks they provided. I've never seen such a nicely done check receipt before so that was pleasant. Overall, great food and fantastic service; we will be coming back for sure! read more

Food is fantastic. Some of my favorites are the "Chili Paste with Green Beans (Plick King)" and the "Pork Jerkey." I like spicy food and find the Thai hot to be the perfect level, not too insane, but a nice hot kick. I usually get pick up, and it's always hot and neatly packaged. Love this place! read more

The food and service is always superb! The pad kee mao and vegetable egg rolls are my absolutely favorite.

This is a great thai place. The inside is spacious and feels very clean. The staff are very polite and follow all covid protocol. Ive tried pick up and take out from this place. Everything is fresh and flavorful, portions are pretty big. I can usually get two meals out of a dinner portion. My absolute favorite are their thai wings. Super crunchy and huge wings. They come with a great cilantro and vinegar dipping sauce too. This place is a great pick when u want solid thai food. I felt very safe ordering and dining in during these trying covid times. read more

Mint Thai is my go-to for Thai food! I especially love their weekday lunch specials where the entree comes with your choice of rice & a spring roll. The portions are pretty generous for lunch. Their yellow curry with chicken is what hooked me onto Thai food in the first place. It's the perfect blend of sweet and spicy and I haven't been able to find any other restaurant that tastes similar. My only hold up here is that sometime their spice levels can be inconsistent. Sometimes I'll ask for something mild but get something incredibly spicy or vice versa. read more

I've been on a bit of a quest to find the best pad Thai near me and currently mint Thai kitchen is holding the title. The dish comes with plenty of sauce (for some reason a lot are very dry) and the tofu is hot crispy and fresher than other places though I will note it's a little dry but so many places I've tried just don't do well with tofu. So I am glad it's as good as it is. I also ate at the restaurant for lunch and this would be the perfect place to go if you have to get back to the office. I was in and out in 25 minutes. read more

I order the thai spicy fried rice in the hottest level and it wasn't hot at all. It was good, just no spice at all.

This location is one of my go-to's for Thai whenever I'm in the area. I've come here sooo many times, especially for take out during the #Rona stay at home life. Food: Again, I come here a LOT, so here are my solids: Pineapple Curry w/ Shrimp (favorite!) spice level = medium/3. Tom Yum Soup (spice level: medium or thai hot, depends on the day), and Xaiolongbao (soup dumplings). The soup dumplings are significantly better when dining in, but they do offer them to-go. In the past I used to love to get the pineapple fried rice w/ shrimp. Recently, I tried the crab fried rice which was great when eaten fresh. The leftovers the next day tasted pretty salty. I've tasted a bite of the Pad Se Ewe Flat Rice Noodle from a friend's dish and was pretty good. Not as much flat rice noodle, but that might just be the style of the dish. Drink: Thai Tea. Classic. Customer Service: Friendly & quick! The service has been consistent every single time. Atmosphere: Spacious and quiet! Great for a lunch meeting or a chill time with friends. I recommend Mint Thai Kitchen if you're craving some good ole Thai. read more

I first tried out this place with a co-worker. It wasn't the last. The food is tasty and the spice it up to your liking. I highly recommend and encourage to give at least one try. Plus the place always looks clean. read more

I called to place a take-out order of two Pad Thai with explicit request of no meat or seafood. However, when I open the boxes, both Pad Thai have chicken in it. This is extremely rude and careless. read more

We were the last ones to show up at the restaurant on a holiday weekend. The service was polite and seated us. The service was prompt and very reasonably priced. The food was delicious just the right amount of spice. Can't speak what about the ambiance because we were the last table. However, given the decor, it seems like a casual dining place or a good spot for takeout. read more

Eh, I just can't not like this place anymore. These noodles dishes are just too good. Came back with some friends and I got the pad kee mao (beef) again. Still just as delicious. The waitress easily pressured me into getting the max level (I got the 4 last time and that was definitely some heat). So I got it... and honestly getting it max level transformed it to quite the eating experience. She kindly left the pitcher of ice water on our table for me and I remember drinking 5 full glasses by the time I was done. ...I would do it again :). It was just so delicious. Having all the spice opened up every tastebud on my tongue to experience every component of the dish. Mind you this was super difficult for me, so I honestly wouldn't recommend a 5 to the common person. It's such a hefty plate for about $11 (w/o tip). I just wish it was closer to me, but if it was then my wallet would be drained. Anyways, plenty of seating on a Saturday evening, so I guess it doesn't get too busy. Plenty of parking in the lot. 9/10, would definitely come again and definitely recommend to a friend. read more

Disappointing. Drunken noodles were B-minus, downgraded for low quality of meat, upgraded for spiciness (medium or "3" is very hot, so I imagine "5" or "Thai spicy" is authentic) and generous portion and good packaging. But I wouldn't order again. The beef with basil was worse. Literally no basil to be found in my meal. So I was left with tough inedible beef and undercooked green bell peppers, the latter overwhelming the flavor profile. read more

The food and service is always amazing! The pad Thai is some of the best in town and always a win. The price is also incredible and hard to beat! I want to give another shout out to the service team they work really hard! One of my favorite places to eat in houston! read more

We had our order delivered via Door Dash. All I can say is super yum!! We ordered the Tom Yum Chicken Soup with medium spice, the chicken red curry with medium spice, and the chicken pad Thai with medium spice. I requested a side of the chili sauce, too. Everything was piping hot and delicious!! I found the soup to be much spicier than entrees, so I'm glad I ordered the extra chili sauce. I will totally order here again, or maybe pop in! read more

Mint Thai Kitchen - Oops sideways photo of the chicken red curry and chicken Tom Yum soup. - Thai Near Me - Houston, Texas

The restaurant was quiet and clean with most orders to go. For a while, I had the entire restaurant to myself on a Saturday night. I ordered the cheese rolls and the Tom Kha soup with chicken. Both items were very good and I wasn't able to finish either dish. The soup had a generous serving of chicken, although next time I'll try to the shrimp or order it without meat, because the broth was my favorite part. The cheese rolls were large, flavorful, and simple. Nothing added just cream cheese and some basil with a good dipping sauce. (some restaurants put raisins in their cheese rolls and I'm not a fan). read more

Mint Thai Kitchen - Cream Cheese Rolls and Tom Kha Coconut Chicken Soup - Thai Near Me - Houston, Texas

Amazing food. I highly recommend this place if you are around the area. Multiple items to choose from.

Though it looks like a new concept, this MTK is actually the inner-loop branch of a quite well-known Thai place off Tomball Parkway (same name). It joins much competition in the Montrose/Downtown area, including Nara, Nit Noi, Nidda, Khun Kay, Rim Tanon, and so on, and so on... ...but it holds its own pretty well. :) My friend S. and I split a chicken pad thai and a Thai-style chicken stir-fry with "basil leaves" (pad kra pao), both adjusted to medium spicy (3). The latter, which was recommended by both of the service staff, came out first - I must admit I was worried for the dish upon seeing the incinerated fried egg, but the meat was cooked and spiced well. Not too salty, not too oily. It came with fluffy white rice, but note that the Thai-style version of the dish has virtually zero veggies in it. Next time I'd probably get it either spicy (4) or Thai spicy (5), as I could barely feel the burn of medium. The pad thai came out incorrectly with beef, but the server was very apologetic about it and had a new chicken pad thai made on the fly (no biggie, and showed great customer service factor). The noodles were not oversauced (usually my most common complaint with pad thai) and the chicken and egg portion was substantial. I appreciated that the servers offered garnishes and extra spice to fine-tune the dish to our liking. I'd come again to try the curries, khao soi, and pad see ew. It's hard to judge a Thai place by just two dishes...! read more

Delicious dinner for my partner and me! This was our first time trying Mint and we were pleasantly impressed!! Def recommend trying the Brussels! read more

Definitely more American style Thai food. This is in my rotation when I am craving sweeter and less spicy Thai food. My favorite thing about this restaurant is how tender the meat is. Albeit they might use meat tenderizer or whatever, but it is a nice change from the drier proteins at other establishments. Pricing is a little lower than other places, but portions are proportional/reflective of this. read more

Their food is delicious- but their concept of spiciness is inconsistent and inaccurate. With 6 available spice levels, I went with 'mild'- which is in the very middle. I am usually a medium - hot kind of guy, but know that Thai spice can get hot. Calling this a mild is crazy. It brought actual tears to my face. The food is insanely good so I wanted to try it again. I went doe no spice and very mild. I don't know if it was spite for asking for less spice or what, but this round was so spicy we couldn't eat it. Which bums me out because I want to love this place. The flavors and quality of food is amazing. But to call this very mild is a slap in the face. If you don't want to cook non-burn your taste buds off spice levels don't offer them. read more

Doesn't look like much, another Thai restaurant in a strip mall, but the food is on point! AMBIANCE Nothing special, but clean, quiet, dimly light. Definitely a casual vibe, plastic menus, but great spot for a quick tasty meal. FOOD Food comes out fast and fresh. Enjoyed most dishes we ordered, and we tried A LOT - chicken satay, pad kee mao with chicken, traditional chicken fried rice, gang garee/yellow curry with chicken, pad kra tiem/garlic chicken. The vegetable egg rolls were slightly disappointing in size, but tasty. SERVICE Servers take care of their business - quick, attentive, not intrusive. One word of warning: they're not messing around on spice! If you say 'mild', that's a 2/5. They have a '0' and '1' under that!! 'Mild' still packed a punch. read more

Simple and enjoyable Thai food. The menu offers a variety of choices for whatever you may enjoy. The restaurant is kept clean. The staff is polite. The food always comes out fast. They were not able to tell me if something was vegetarian, and finally after questioning them, found out the item had oyster sauce in it.

Since moving out of the montrose area I didn't realize that my favorite Nidda's was closed. I drove over and was so hurt. I was really craving Thai so I googled place nearby and stumbled upon this. I decided to get my usual, the crab fried rice and it was really good. The only thing I thought was a little weird is that it wasn't mixed together. There was just a bunch of crab sitting on top of rice. I still enjoyed it though. My husband got the Pad Khing and it was VERY tasty. I think this is a solid Thai place in Houston and will be returning to try other things on the menu. read more

Out of control overly SPICY food-- we ordered 4 dishes for take out with a "zero" level spicy pad thai for a kid plus other all dishes as "one" level spicy & even us adults could barely eat the food as it was all packed with red chili pepper flakes. I called and they did offer one new pad thai or credit if I drove back over there, which I didn't. Be sure to make sure you triple check spiciness level before taking their food home!! Flavors otherwise seemed like they'd be good if not masked with the heat. The beef in pad woon sen was also really tough n gross read more
