The inside of the restaurant is nothing special, kind of plain, but I like that there are never too many people there. I think they mostly do take-out. The waiter was quick to get our orders and the the Thai tea I ordered came fast. My only complaint was that it wasn't creamy and I expect that is because they used milk instead of half and half. We got drunken noodles and pad Thai and it all came with a complimentary salad and egg roll. The egg rolls were just right. The pad Thai was perfect and from what my peers say, so was the drunken noodles. I noticed that the exceptional formatting on the checks they provided. I've been on a bit of a quest to find the best pad Thai near me and currently mint Thai kitchen is holding the title. The dish comes with plenty of sauce (for some reason a lot are very dry) and the tofu is hot crispy and fresher than other places though I will note it's a little dry but so many places I've tried just don't do well with tofu. So I am glad it's as good as it is. I also ate at the restaurant for lunch and this would be the perfect place to go if you have to get back to the office. I was in and out in 25 minutes. read more

This is a great thai place. The inside is spacious and feels very clean. The staff are very polite and follow all covid protocol. Ive tried pick up and take out from this place. Everything is fresh and flavorful, portions are pretty big. I can usually get two meals out of a dinner portion. My absolute favorite are their thai wings. Super crunchy and huge wings. They come with a great cilantro and vinegar dipping sauce too. This place is a great pick when u want solid thai food. Mint Thai is my go-to for Thai food! I especially love their weekday lunch specials where the entree comes with your choice of rice & a spring roll. The portions are pretty generous for lunch. Their yellow curry with chicken is what hooked me onto Thai food in the first place. It's the perfect blend of sweet and spicy and I haven't been able to find any other restaurant that tastes similar. My only hold up here is that sometime their spice levels can be inconsistent. This location is one of my go-to's for Thai whenever I'm in the area. I've come here sooo many times, especially for take out during the #Rona stay at home life. Food: Again, I come here a LOT, so here are my solids: Pineapple Curry w/ Shrimp (favorite!) spice level = medium/3. Tom Yum Soup (spice level: medium or thai hot, depends on the day), and Xaiolongbao (soup dumplings). The soup dumplings are significantly better when dining in, but they do offer them to-go. In the past I used to love to get the pineapple fried rice w/ shrimp. Recently, I tried the crab fried rice which was great when eaten fresh. The leftovers the next day tasted pretty salty. I've tasted a bite of the Pad Se Ewe Flat Rice Noodle from a friend's dish and was pretty good. Not as much flat rice noodle, but that might just be the style of the dish. Drink: Thai Tea. Classic. Customer Service: Friendly & quick! The service has been consistent every single time. Atmosphere: Spacious and quiet! Great for a lunch meeting or a chill time with friends. Drunken noodles were B-minus, downgraded for low quality of meat, upgraded for spiciness (medium or "3" is very hot, so I imagine "5" or "Thai spicy" is authentic) and generous portion and good packaging. But I wouldn't order again. The beef with basil was worse. Literally no basil to be found in my meal. So I was left with tough inedible beef and undercooked green bell peppers, the latter overwhelming the flavor profile. read more

Eh, I just can't not like this place anymore. These noodles dishes are just too good. Came back with some friends and I got the pad kee mao (beef) again. Still just as delicious. The waitress easily pressured me into getting the max level (I got the 4 last time and that was definitely some heat). So I got it... and honestly getting it max level transformed it to quite the eating experience. She kindly left the pitcher of ice water on our table for me and I remember drinking 5 full glasses by the time I was done. ...I would do it again :). It was just so delicious. Having all the spice opened up every tastebud on my tongue to experience every component of the dish. Mind you this was super difficult for me, so I honestly wouldn't recommend a 5 to the common person. It's such a hefty plate for about $11 (w/o tip). I just wish it was closer to me, but if it was then my wallet would be drained. Anyways, plenty of seating on a Saturday evening, so I guess it doesn't get too busy. The restaurant was quiet and clean with most orders to go. For a while, I had the entire restaurant to myself on a Saturday night. I ordered the cheese rolls and the Tom Kha soup with chicken. Both items were very good and I wasn't able to finish either dish. The soup had a generous serving of chicken, although next time I'll try to the shrimp or order it without meat, because the broth was my favorite part. Though it looks like a new concept, this MTK is actually the inner-loop branch of a quite well-known Thai place off Tomball Parkway (same name). It joins much competition in the Montrose/Downtown area, including Nara, Nit Noi, Nidda, Khun Kay, Rim Tanon, and so on, and so on... ...but it holds its own pretty well. :) My friend S. and I split a chicken pad thai and a Thai-style chicken stir-fry with "basil leaves" (pad kra pao), both adjusted to medium spicy (3). The latter, which was recommended by both of the service staff, came out first - I must admit I was worried for the dish upon seeing the incinerated fried egg, but the meat was cooked and spiced well. Not too salty, not too oily. It came with fluffy white rice, but note that the Thai-style version of the dish has virtually zero veggies in it. Next time I'd probably get it either spicy (4) or Thai spicy (5), as I could barely feel the burn of medium. The pad thai came out incorrectly with beef, but the server was very apologetic about it and had a new chicken pad thai made on the fly (no biggie, and showed great customer service factor). The noodles were not oversauced (usually my most common complaint with pad thai) and the chicken and egg portion was substantial. I appreciated that the servers offered garnishes and extra spice to fine-tune the dish to our liking. I'd come again to try the curries, khao soi, and pad see ew. I am usually a medium - hot kind of guy, but know that Thai spice can get hot. Calling this a mild is crazy. It brought actual tears to my face. The food is insanely good so I wanted to try it again. I went doe no spice and very mild. I don't know if it was spite for asking for less spice or what, but this round was so spicy we couldn't eat it. Which bums me out because I want to love this place. The flavors and quality of food is amazing. But to call this very mild is a slap in the face. If you don't want to cook non-burn your taste buds off spice levels don't offer them. read more

Since moving out of the montrose area I didn't realize that my favorite Nidda's was closed. I drove over and was so hurt. I was really craving Thai so I googled place nearby and stumbled upon this. I decided to get my usual, the crab fried rice and it was really good. The only thing I thought was a little weird is that it wasn't mixed together. There was just a bunch of crab sitting on top of rice. I still enjoyed it though. My husband got the Pad Khing and it was VERY tasty.
