Since getting this work done, all of the fillings have all fallen out and I had to go to another Mint dentistry to get them replaced because I refuse to have the same dentist from the Denton location provide me with the same mediocre service and quality of product. Literally just had another filling fall out over the weekend. Extremely disappointed in the quality of work and professionalism. Hello, my name is Kennisha .. I am a patient  out of the Mint dentistry Denton Tx location as well as Pure Oral Surgery the Colony TX. Today's date is 09.09.2023 and my treatment is FINALLY  complete. I have had issues since the start of my implant journey.  Although your staff has been very kind and apologetic The process itself was unprofessional.  At this time I am asking for a refund.  This is a very brief description of just some of the things that happened.(so many things went wrong) I scheduled and showed up for my initial consultation. The day of that appointment they were extremely busy. I waited over an hour past my appointment but was not seen. I had to leave to make another appointment. I was later contacted and given a price date and time.  I didn't even realize that I was given no information on the process of an implant. I literally walked out after the first day expecting to have had teeth.  I immediately contacted the surgeon's office and asked what happened. Nothing had been explained to me. Once I called it was partially explained and at that time learned there would be more expenses. But there was so much confusion over what I was to expect out of this process.     I was quoted one price over the phone and via  I was then made aware of the fact that I would have to go to my regular dentist and pay for the crowns ...mind you ,I had 0 idea of any of this. I thought it was one process and that's what I was paying for.  Then my abutment  fell out! I returned to the oral surgeon. However, when he replaced it, he did it too tight. This caused the dentist to not be able to remove it. The dentist  tried but was unable  because she did not have the tools. The dentist then asked me to come back at a later time after she could  order the part to remove the abundant, however, this took months. I finally just decided to make an appointment and go back in . At that time I was told i'd have to go back to the oral surgeon. Which I did.  After my appointment at the oral surgeon. Went in for a routine cleaning. The waiting room was in complete CHAOS. One patient-- who was mid treatment came to the front desk and SCREAMED at the poor receptionist for taking too long. Everyone waiting watched as this patient and her friend BERATED the employee. Why a friend was allowed to walk around the office is beyond me, let alone just hang out at the dentist with an adult friend. All of us in the waiting room looked at each other wondering if we should step in and help thinking that a dentist or co-worker would come to help. NOPE. Through some miracle the receptionist got the VERBALLY ABUSIVE patient back to her room. The receptionist apologized to us in the waiting room but you can see she was shaken. NOT ONE CO-WORKER came up to check on her. Finally, I got to my routine cleaning. I informed the hygienist what has just happened and they just shrugged. No x-rays, no dentist check just a quick clean and rush to get me out. AWFUL service and ZERO care for co-workers. When the office followed up with AI text and phone calls, NO CARE about the incident. They just asked if I wanted to schedule my next visit. SHORT ANSWER. NOPE!!! read more

This is the first time coming here but from the reviews it seemed like the best place around. The ladies were nice but the timing was way off which is the reason of two less stars. My appointment was not started till about 45 minutes after the time given to show up. Seems as though it's a common thing cause my wifes was not started till about the same wait period that I had. I like to show up a little early and have my appointment at the time given. When a few minutes have gone by I understand people could be running a little long. At the same time if it's been 15...20...30...40 minutes I am really wondering why I had an appointed time but starting an hour later. Wow, just wow! I've always dreaded going to the dentist, until now. Yesterday was my first appointment with MINT Dentistry and I can honestly say I am so pleased with how my visit went. Every staff member I interacted with was so friendly and helpful. Place has such a warm welcoming, comfortable atmosphere it helped calm my nerves as I am usually anxious about dental appointments. They give you a choice of headphones and sunglasses during your appointment and have the option to listen to music or watch Netflix, the chairs have massage options. I mean how much better could this place be? Oh and I received whitening trays that I can do at home for free. Literally stoked to keep coming here for all my dental needs. They even referred me to an orthodontist. If you've been looking for a new dentist, don't hesitate to check them out. read more

This is the worst experience of my life and over $2000 wasted to have to go somewhere else because they do a subpar job. The customer service is horrible. I went because I thought they could do a better job then a cheaper dental service but I was sadly mistaken and now I am having to go somewhere else to finish what mint started because now they want to over charge me for everything that I was told was included in the original pricing I was given and I was giving the run around for months and they had to cancel appointments because they didnt do what they should have done. I will be filling a complaint with BBB. Only giving the one star because I have to. They definitely do not deserve that star. read more

So I went against my own advice and went back for an emergency repair of a filling. I was flossing my teeth and a piece of my filling came loose so I had to get in quick to repair it. The staff is nice and all and got me in the same day, but the ladies working on me were gossiping about coworkers and their bosses the entire time. I don't think they were focused on me at all. Also when they "repaired" my filling they made it practically attached to my other tooth. So now it is almost impossible to get floss in between my teeth. Make sure you verify insurance with the hygienist before you begin your appointment because the front office staff is not capable, or caring enough, to make sure this is correct. I confirmed that insurance covered a specific doctor with the front office multiple times before my appointment, and on the day of the appointment, as was told everything was taken care of and that insurance was verified and that this would be an in network visit... yeah, they lied... then when I called billing to have it fixed they told me it was a mistake and that they would fix it... yeah, they never fixed it... got charged out of network for a routine cleaning... when the lady called 6 months later to confirm my next appointment I told her about the situation, and let her know that I would need to have resolved before I could see them again and her response was, "so do you want me to take you out of our system"... No sense of due diligence to remedy the situation and take care of their customers... just sad... only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the hygienist who did my cleaning was awesome! She actually deserves 5 stars but unfortunately their front office staff/billing department is lacking big time. read more

My whole purpose of going to MINT was the free teeth whitening with no intention of going back. My intentions have now changed. My visit went very smooth. Every step was explained before it happened. I was able to catch up on one my shows while getting my teeth cleaned. The staff was very considerate of my time by getting right to the cleaning so I wouldn't have to unnecessarily wait for the doctor. They used their time and my time wisely. The dental hygienist was thorough as well as the dentist. I plan on coming back and making this my regular dentist. Thank you for the great experience. read more

I haven't had a dental checkup for awhile. So I thought since I have moved it was time for me to find a dental office. I kept hearing the radio advertise Mint. So I made the appointment online. I am very glad that I did. I had been having some problems with my right side of molars and come to find out I had a cavity underneath my old filling. The dentist was so kind about it. She was not harsh at all like some of the other dentists that I have been too. I was also told that my medicine could also be causing some bone loss and to find some mouthwash medicine to combat the problem. The worst dental experience I've encountered. They definitely have the're marketing mastered but it's all downhill from there. First they offer free teeth whitening but don't actually perform the service but claim they give you a mold of your teeth and you take it home... not sure they even do that as they won't give it to you until you do all the suggested dental work they recommend ( I think that is extremely misleading and false advertising) Next when they send you your reminder text they make it sound so upscale by telling you "Your massage chair is waiting"...no massage chair I get there and am told to pay the co-pay and so I did and shortly after it all began. X-Ray after X-ray after X-ray and sit in the chair " would you like Netflix or Pandora?"... I'm not picky so I say I'm open to either. That to her meant I'll leave it on a blank screen. More X-Ray after X-ray and some more X-rays.... Then what I came in for Teeth cleaning...... She literally took less than 10 minutes!! I spend more time cleaning my teeth at home. She was nice enough but she could have been a little more friendly, which pretty much goes for everyone there. Then in comes the dentist "Wow" tried to sell me on everything. Interested in orthodontic's? No! Interested in a mouth guard? No! Veneers? No! Then tried to scare me into having 2 crowns, but one could wait?!?! Almost $4000 of dental work , oh and then they will give me a drugstore take home whitening kit. After that I was sitting there for 20 minutes waiting for a nurse to come it take off my bib and thank me....The front desk girl came gave me a bill and told me to pull my bib off and place it on the tray. All in all terrible experience. Everything felt rushed. Felt mislead by the tooth whitening. Just a money grab! I love Mint Dentistry from the time my family and I move out here from Los Angeles, CA; Mint Dentistry was my first choice. I went to the grapevine location when I lived in Lewisville. Since then I moved to Aubrey and the nearest dental office was in Denton which I didn't mind the drive because I love the reputation Mint dentistry has. So today 8/25 I had an appointment scheduled at 1100am. My family a party of 5. Upon arrival the receptionist gave me paperwork to sign and informed me they had limited staff and it'll be an hour and a half wait to accommodate my family and me. I told her no problem we can go get food and because I got my kids out of school early and we haven't ate. She assured me that was fine and we left. While at the fast food place while ordering my food I received a call ,literally 10 minutes after I left, saying that they were ready for us. I informed her that I just order and as soon as I get the food we come back she said ok. On my way to the office I received at text saying my appointment was cancelled; simultaneously I received an email saying my appointment was rescheduled at 12:30p. When we came back to the office a new receptionist said that my appointment was cancelled because I didn't show up in time. Since she wasn't the person I talked to before I told her the entire story of what happened. She quickly dismissed everything I said and rudely replied that I was sent a text saying that it was cancelled. And I showed her the email that said my appointment was rescheduled to 1230p. She said the email didn't matter and it's nothing she can do. The least she can do is send me to another location that's over an hour away. I tried to explain again my story and asked for the receptionist I spoke to before her she said she's gone. I told her how far I live she didn't care. I told her I took my kids out of school for this she didn't care. I even ask can I come later the afternoon she said no. In no way shape or form she tried to help with this office miscommunication and misinformation. The fact that this office cancelled my appointment when I did nothing wrong. I'm always willing to take ownership of my actions whenever I'm in the wrong. Why can't this office do the same... I'm really disappointed with Denton location Mint Dentistry and since this is the only office that's close proximity to my home. I unfortunately have to change dental offices. Mint Dentistry Denton is terrible. AVOID AT ALL COST!!! I have also visited their North Richland Hills office where I saw Dr Caglia, who was AWESOME. I'll try to make this brief. Visited in October for a check up. Had the usual X-rays and visual inspection done, followed by cleaning. Was informed I needed some fillings. Returned November for said fillings. Two weeks later, develop pain in a tooth (that Mint NRH had put a crown on just last year...). Went back, they told me that there was decay on that tooth... I asked why this wasn't spotted when I was there two weeks ago and I'm fed some nonsense that decay can occur overnight. Subsequently, the same tooth causes an infection and abscess in my gum. They give me antibiotics (Clindamycin, according to my pharmacist regarded one of the worst for side effects - two weeks later I was still shitting gravy). It didn't help. They give me Azithromycin. It didn't help. They try to refer me out to a specialist because they can't handle the required work, which I'm expected to pay for despite this being their oversight in my opinion (you don't need to be a dentist to know that the decay that caused all of this does not happen overnight or even in the two weeks they suggest it did). I've already used my insurance allowance for the year, so they offer another option: Pull the tooth. I return to have the tooth pulled, which they refused to do unless I paid. I found Dr Nikai (if that's how it is spelled) to be a rude and brutal dentist. I found Raena Pettie, their Office Manager, to be rude, unhelpful and uncompassionate. I found Ramiro Garza, their "Director Of Patient Experience", to be an unresponsive spinner of bullshit, who according to the aforementioned Raena Pettie, answers to her as an Office Manager, begging the question WTF kind of director Ramiro really is. The Dentist who made the oversight will remain unnamed here, simply for the fact that despite everything and what I consider to be her oversight, she was lovely throughout. But, if you drop the ball, you have to make it right. I suffered over a month of pain and lost a tooth at the hands of these fools. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE GLITZY RADIO AND TV ADS!!! In December 2021, I first went to this office for a cleaning. I'm old and they accept Medicare. So far, so good. That cleaning was just fine and I made another appointment for this week for another cleaning. In spite of confirming my appointment I received multiple emails and texts informing me I'd have to pay $50 If I don't make the appointment. Ok, got it. One of the text messages stated " your massage chair is waiting". Hmm sounds good. I arrived for my appointment ahead of time and Tracy was my hygienist. In ALL my 69 years I have never experienced the level of pain inflicted upon me during this cleaning. She repeatedly told me if I flossed it wouldn't be this painful. Seriously? It sure didn't hurt before and the frequency of flossing hasn't changed. She was using a tool, I believe, with " Sonic" in the name of it but it was brutal. She agreed to use the " scraper" that I was more familiar with. The pain was so intense, she agreed to put numbing gel on my teeth and gums in order to proceed. After it took effect, she continued to dig and scrape, telling me NOT a to close my mouth. There comes a point when one MUST swallow. I swallowed and my throat went numb and I began coughing and choking because I COULD NOT swallow. I was terrified. If you know anything about swallowing you know that if you don't control your swallow it will go into your lungs and not your esophagus ( aspiration). They gave me water! Here drink this so you can choke some more. They kept saying it will pass in about an hour or so!!! Tracy wanted to continue with the cleaning. At this point I was DONE. It took over an hour to swallow normally. By the way, nobody asked me if I wanted a massage chair. Don't advertise it if you can't offer it. Additionally, I appreciate being offered Pandora or Netflix but I don't care to listen to the next cubicle listening to Rap/ hip hop. Offer headphones please. I will never use this dentist office again. read more

Permanent retainer broke, called and see if we could get an emergency appointment to fix it. Explained the entire situation over the phone and the receptionist assured us that it was possible - asked us to come in as soon as available to get it fixed. We hop in the car and speed over, walk in and she then backtracks within 30 seconds of checking in and says that they don't have the supplies to do it. Not a problem if y'all can't do a service, but don't assure customers that you CAN perform it and make them drive over only to send them home within 30 seconds. read more

Excellent service! The new client paperwork was quick and painless. Its was all electronic and digital on a tablet. My initial exam and cleaning was roughly a 2 hour ordeal due to all the imaging. The hygienist use a water pick to clean my teeth which was much more enjoyable than the metal tools other hygienists have used. I have never experienced a dental office like MINT Dentistry. Never have i had such a hard working and kind hearted team of individuals work so closely with me to ensure I was 100% satisfied. A handful of individuals took their time to take care of me throughout each visit. Sydney- always taking care of me quickly so i could begin my dental work. I don't know how else to answers, but March 24th of this year I had a visit with Mint dentistry in Denton & I paid close to $1,000 for a new retainer and mouth guard. They told me it would take about 6-8 weeks for them to be completed, which is no problem because I'm sure things take a while during covid. However, I am now coming up on the 4 month mark of waiting for these to be completed. I have called multiple times during this period and each time met with "I don't see anything on our side, so they're probably not ready yet." I went in for a filling a few months back. When first talking to the front desk I was told it would be around 350 to pay out of pocket. This seemed fine due to the fact that I needed this procedure. When I was in the chair after I had already paid I was informed that the cost would be moved up to around $500. As a college student this was a huge hit but again I needed to get my teeth worked on and agreed to move forward. After the dentist had finished the procedure I was then informed that the cost was $700. This was insane but if that was all it might be explainable. I have suffered with pain for the last 4 months now due to their lack of care and attention to detail. The pain killer hardly worked and was very uncomfortable as well. This added up to the worst visit with a dentist I have ever had. I was in the military and they are known for bad care, yet this topped it. When I called to express my hurt and frustration I was told to expect a call back which I never received. This was after getting ahold of their main office. Do yourself a favor and use a different business. You should never trust your teeth to a company that doesn't care about the customer. read more

I have been to this Mint location several times and had no issues, but today I left their office in tears. I came in today to get a permanent bridge placed after having a stellar cleaning appointment turn into a lengthy bridge preparation and temporary bridge placement. I have had no issues with the temporary bridge, and was excited to have the new one placed today. I made sure to schedule my appointment around my college class schedule, being that it is the week before finals, and made sure that the person scheduling my appointment made a note in my profile about this so that I would not be late to class. (Note: my appointment was scheduled at 10:30, my next class would be at 1pm, and I was told the appointment would not take more than an hour) I got to the appointment 15 minutes early and was pleasantly surprised to be taken back and beginning prep work with Kathy, one of their dental assistants, so that once my doctor was ready I would be able to quickly get my bridge placed. I ended up sitting in the chair for close to 45 minutes before the doctor was ready for me, after numbing me, and only AFTER I inquired about the wait (because I was worried about being late for class) did he show up. Something must have lit a fire under him at this point because he started hastily working through removing the temporary bridge and made my gums and mouth bleed. The dental assistant consistently used far too much pressure in keeping my mouth open, and almost let me start to choke on my own spit. As we continued to go through the procedure, the dentist was using my face and mouth as a resting place for his hands with far more force than I usually expect from my dentist. I was actually terrified I would end up having bruising all over my face from how hard he was pressing on it. The dental assistant also seemed very nervous and scared the entire time, which put me very much on edge. As the visit went on, it became apparent that she was still in training and had another assistant with her part of the time.. who she kept asking question after question to and making me more nervous about her having her hands in my mouth. I am more than fine with allowing my appointment be part of someone's training for their future career under the circumstances of a cleaning or a small procedure.. but this bridge placement was getting a little invasive for me to have a dentist working so hastily and an assistant that seemed to have no idea what to do half of the time. I tried to keep myself as calm, cool, and collected as possible to hopefully speed up the process.. but every time either one of them put their hands in my mouth my gums or mouth bled even more. We had to take a TON of x rays because she wasn't doing them correctly to the dentist's liking... also, at the end of the procedure she chose to use a very violent suction tube very close to my throat and ended up sucking my uvula into the suction, which immediately made me cough and choke and brought tears to my eyes. The assistant and her supervisor looked completely panic stricken and tried to quiet me with promises of ibuprofen and half hearted apologies. I finally got to the check out counter, one hour and 35 minutes after my scheduled appointment, to be greeted by a receptionist who seemed very distracted and ignored the fact that I was still crying from the pain of my gums and my uvula being tormented during this appointment. Normally at Mint they ask if you are satisfied with your service at the end of the appointment, but today I felt that I was rushed out as soon as possible so as to not scare off any other customers. Needless to say, I am pretty traumatized and very sad to say that Mint has really really disappointed me today. I have never had a bad experience with them before, but today is making me question their actual commitment to quality of customer care. read more

Don't fall for the high review ratings online. They give you free stuff if you rate them 5 stars and show them your phone to prove it. The actual dentists here are great - it is everything else that goes along with how the business is run that warrants the 2 star rating. They are dishonest with their pricing. You can't get ahold of of anyone at the Denton location. When you call the main Mint number, they would rather schedule an appointment for you than to just put you through so you can ask a simple question. They will pressure you into joining their smile club. Don't fall for it. I normally wouldn't complain, especially sense if haven't been seen yet, but I had a confirmation email about my appointment and they didn't have me on their books. How this is possible I don't know. Therefore they were booked and couldn't do anything about it but reschedule me. I don't have very many days off, if I would've know I'd be at my second job instead of wasting a day. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was nice to be able to get my cleaning and other dental work during the same visit.

I tried them for one procedure on a filing and it took three visits to repair properly. We gave them the benefit of doubt and my husband was over billed because they couldn't figure out how to use my HSA card. We were billed $450 out of pocket because they were too lazy to slow down and utilize our HSA funds. Poor service from the office and doctors. AVOID! read more
