Honest Review: My experience with MTH started off pretty decent on December 28th, 2021. Ryan did a great job at walking me through the sales process and explaining all the details of the truck I was purchasing and tried his best to help me out. However, my first red flag was the fact that they had no intentions of showing me the purchasing details, seemed as if they were just trying to get me with the highest interest rate possible and get me out of there without any question. They wouldn't even show me the paperwork when I asked for it. After I told them an 8% interest rate wasn't going to fly, they ended up pulling my credit 7 additional times (if you are going to pull someone's credit that many times, at least give them a heads up). Their excuse for an 8% interest rate was, "you need to understand what you are buying." which is absolutely ridiculous. After we worked that out, everything went smooth, until I pulled out of the parking lot an hour later...I was roughly 1 minute down the road when the check engine light came on. I called and they set up a time the following week to check it out. In the week waiting to bring the truck in, here are the things I noticed was wrong with it (which none of this was stated): Drivers side heated seat not working, drives side seat was loose, steering wheel buttons non-working, loud thumping from underneath the truck, backup camera non-working, windshield washer lines removed, and the list goes on. It would have been one thing if they would have told me about these things prior to purchasing but I was told that the truck had no issues whatsoever. After Kevin (service manager) got ahold of me, he has been an absolute pleasure. He does a great job and I believe he truly cares about the customers and their concerns. He does his best at getting the problems solved. After the truck spent a week getting worked on, I found out that there were more issues than what I even noticed...the most concerning thing they fixed was the cab mounts that were broken off. It is concerning with all of the issues that I found, and they found were not caught before I purchased the vehicle is beyond me. After all those issues were fixed, I ended up having to bring the truck in again the following week due to the backup camera still not working and the hoses on the turbo blowing off. Again, Kevin took care of the issues. Now we are sitting here a month and 15 days after purchasing it, the truck has spent roughly the same amount of time in their shop as it has with me and guess what? The heated seat that was "fixed" now blows cold air instead of heating it, the steering wheel controls still do not work, tailgate won't stay up, the belt is squeaking/chirping, the truck needs new brakes and a new steering stabilizer (I have only put 800 miles on it!!!). Which I totally understand a used vehicle will not be perfect but at least state these issues prior to someone making a purchase. Overall, if you are purchasing a new vehicle from MTH you may be able to get away with it, however if you are looking to purchase a used vehicle, save your time and money and go elsewhere. The vehicles are in fantastic cosmetic shape but who knows what you will get in terms of functionality. Not only has the truck spent just as much time in their shop as it has with me, everything was pulled out of the truck before I took it home. All the cup holder inserts were removed, the center console insert had been removed, the dash plug-in was also removed and so on. All that I can say is I 110% wish I would have stayed away from this dealership. Feels as if they have taken full advantage of me and now, I am to encounter all of these issues that were hidden and undisclosed prior to the purchase. That being said, I hope/expect MHT to either continue to cover these issues that were undisclosed or just take the truck back. At this point, I am over it... The only reason I even gave them 2 stars instead of 1 is because the service manager is the only one who seems to care and wanting to make things right. read more

Very poor communication, bought a truck here in May2025 . Transmission went out 12 days later. I wanted a different truck. I drove the truck not even a month. They worked out numbers to get me into a different one I lost 16000 dollars in that month. I gave them a great trade plus 6000 dollars down and I still lost 16000 dollars in a month. I stopped by MTH to "just look" when I was greeted by the nicest, most down to Earth, yet professional salesperson I have ever met, Talyn Ludwig. She was informative, helpful, and did not turn on the "high pressure" at all. She assisted me with finding a fantastic, low mileage Nissan Rogue that is an amazing car and exactly what I wanted. In addition to all of Talyn's help, Jorge in the finance department went above and beyond and got me into a down payment and monthly payment that was spot on with my budget! I can't say enough good things about MTH in St. Cloud and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality used vehicle! Worst car dealership ever love telling you a bunch of crap and pushing papers. I would never buy from them again. Jorge from finance loves to tell you a line and then change exactly what he said the next minute. I would absolutely steer clear of this place. and they love to buy your reviews. We bought a SUV for over $20,000 from MTH. After 3 months our vehicle wouldn't start. We called them and asked what they could do to help us figure it out. The guy "Matt" we talked to was rude, and snarky. He acted like we just wanted things for free, but that wasn't the case. We thought we would see if maybe they would test it so we could figure out what was wrong but that's it. Considering it was only a few months later and not 3 years we thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. Matt then proceeded to tell my husband "I know you are upset about it not starting, but I bet you are MORE upset because you don't know why." Then proceeded to just try to get us to use their services. We have since gone to "preferred service" and Miller Auto. Both of those places have been AMAZING. Scott at preferred service tested our vehicle and did stuff with the battery. (The battery was Napa Jan. 2020 btw) and said he was confident that it was the battery and that the manufacturer batteries for our vehicle actually had a recall. We took it to Miller Auto to get tested. When we called them they were very kind to us and treated us with respect and while to test our vehicle would be more expensive than MTH we 100% would never consider getting any services done at MTH. We have lost trust in them. They said 100% it was the battery. The Napa battery that had been put in to replace the battery was faulty and not the correct voltage. Now. It's plausible MTH put this battery in our vehicle and they should have bought the manufacturer battery. Of course the one that was put in was cheaper. Either way it wasn't even the right voltage, and it was a faulty battery. There is a way to charge a battery and up the voltage to make a vehicle last longer before it dies again Scott from preferred service also told us because he did it for us. Even if it wasn't them who put it in there, I'm disappointed they decided to treat us like criminals after we spent $23,000 on our vehicle from them just a few months ago. The seller was great but behind the scenes they are money hungry and clearly greedy and do not treat their customers with respect and gratefulness for their business. Many people from other auto places we have talked to have said they see tons of people who have come from MTH. By far they are the most common who people have some sort of issues with their vehicles. Needless to say, I will never recommend anyone buy a vehicle from them again. Thankfully our bill will be $350 when all said and done. No thanks to MTH. read more

I negotiated a deal with them for a SUV and for a trade that I had, I completed everything online because I live a couple of hours away. The next day as I was on my way to the dealership to pick up my new vehicle and drop off my trade they called me and told me they needed to touch up a couple of things on it and said they'd deliver it and pick up my trade in a day or two. I thought no big deal, well after that every time I called they had one reason or another about why they couldn't deliver the suv. 16 days after the day I was supposed to get my car my delivery was scheduled. The morning of the day of my scheduled delivery I get a call saying their delivery driver can't make it, I tell the sales guy, Scott, who I'd be dealing with for almost 3 weeks at this point, that I'm walking away from the deal. Minutes later the GM called me and says he will have someone deliver it but that it just came in this morning and there are some dents in it they need to pop out. Funny because days prior Scott sent me a video of the car at the dealership and in that video msg he is telling me that all of the dings were touched up and that it looks like a brand new car and it's ready to be delivered. Obviously the entire thing was a sham, they lied to me so much and so many times that they finally tripped up over each other. When I asked the GM, "if the SUV just arrived at the dealership this morning how was it that Scott sent me a text showing him with the suv at the dealership days earlier". He got really quiet and obviously didn't have an answer, that was the end of the call and of the transaction. I've worked in the car business in the past, they have a pretty bad reputation but most of them are great, it's places like this business that give the entire industry a bad name. Went here to look at a newer truck and discuss a trade in. Was immediately greeted with the wrong name, not a big deal but a little odd when trying to build a relation between customer and business. Had some concerns about the new vehicle but was brushed off like they weren't there. Also had to ask multiple times for the Carfax report and had to sit around for quite some time to get them. I wanted to take it to a mechanic to have it looked over and the salesman wanted me to sign over my truck and start the paperwork and loan payment from my bank before I even had the chance to have it looked at. Felt like a very odd buying experience, decided to pass. Take it with a grain of salt, maybe you'll have a better experience. I'll probably just look elsewhere in the future where I feel more welcome in the environment. read more

Bought a truck from them a couple years ago. They polished a turd really well. Had wiring issues by the time I got it back to Fargo. Second time I took it through the car was the paint was flaking off from a really shitty paint job. The motor let go at right over 100,000, a 6.0LGM, we have 3 of them for our business with over 200,000 with no real issues. The first two issues, wiring and paint I was told to bad... Do your dir diligence!!! Just bought s truck from this company less than 4 months ago.. they claimed tbis truck to be in great condition... day I bought it they said the water pump went out, took me an extra week to get my truck. It's now been 4 months with the truck, and have already had to stick $4500 into this truck... what a joke!!! read more

Incompetent staff. They installed a lift kit and did not do an alignment check after. Lower control arm cam was very bad. It shouldn't have even been out on the lot. Axels are shot also, and they refuse to pay for repairs unless it's done in their shop. Why would anyone trust them with repairing something that they should have caught in the first place!? Save your time and money and go anywhere but here!!! Update: 3 months after purchase and the repairs are still piling up to the tune of $3000.00. Mike (owner) is completely dishonest. Sold me a truck with a "rebuilt motor", in less that 500 miles it was knocking hard. Mike strung me along for months promising paperwork, blaming his dad, assuring me it would get handled eventually but it never was. I would not go back they are pushy and it has been over two weeks sense I bought my truck from them and they just mailed the check or my trade in to my bank after calling and asking where that was, and they just mailed the paper work for my plates after owning the truck for 2 weeks and takes 3 weeks to get the paper work through the DMV and get my new plates and my temporary plate will be up by then more then likely would not deal with them would not go back this process has been painfully long and extremely slow this is your job as a dealer get it together and file paper work right away don't wait two weeks and drag your feet. My husband and I traded in a vehicle a little over a month ago. The finance department did not mail the payoff check to the correct bank address causing the bank to receive the payoff late and accruing more interest. I called the finance department two times. My husband called two times. No return phone call. MTH should pay the additional interest that was accrued as it was they're mistake. To not return a phone call (4 phone calls) is horrible customer service. My husband and I lease vehicles, so get a new vehicles every two-three years, but will not ever purchase from MTH again. read more

I always wait to post my review on big purchases. So, here goes. I was getting frustrated with my dealer in the twin cities. I wanted an F150 with a V8 and I was constantly being steered towards EcoBoost. I'm not knocking the EB. I actually think its a great engine. I just personally prefer a V8. I happened to see an ad for MTH on facebook and followed the page. I loved the ads. C'mon the guy (Rick) that was doing them was such a ham and the ads were just corny, and I LOVED IT! So, I called up. Talked to the sales associate that I bought my truck from. He said they had 3 F150s with a 5.0, but no extended cab only super crew. I knew I had to compromise somehow. I was not in love with either truck but Im from the Saint Cloud area and was passing through so no big deal. I was half way to my home town when the GM, Rick called me up. Told me they just took an extended cab, V8, in the color I wanted. No way! Yup turned right around. Purchsed the truck. It has been a year. The truck has been trouble free. At purchase there were some mechanical concerns with some front suspension componants. The shop replaced EVERYTHING. The entire front suspension was essentially rebuilt at their cost. I crunched the numbers and actually got the truck for well below what most similar trucks were selling for. It has been a very reliable truck. I love it. I couldn't be happier with the experience. The best part is that the owners of the dealership are local people who have been involved in family run businesses for a long time and are great people. Don't be fooled by these people, a one star rating is generous and if I could rate them any lower I would. The salesman was decent but the guy that negotiated with us was a total prick. Sold us a truck that we came to find soon after purchase needed a major repair, something I'm sure they were WELL aware of but disguised it from potential buyers. Well sucks for us but good thing we purchased the comprehensive warranty recommended to us, right? Wrong! The warranty is an absolute scam that has a clause getting them out of covering anything not damaged by God himself. Knowing we purchased the vehicle as is (gee I wonder why they throw that clause in there) we thought, hey let's give them a call on the off chance they would be able to do anything for us. the first time i went there they told me i could pick any truck i wanted so i did looked at a truck and asked for a test drive after that they pursued to trying to get me to buy the truck i said no and they kept trying and trying until i just left it was like going to tenovore ford were the people are nice but will want you to sigh something to get it to be in your name. but i had a great experience with the repair they did a rough country lift and they did it just fine so thank you but just one star is generous i suggest go to miller auto nicest people you will meet. read more
