I just moved to the Saint Cloud area from the cities. I had a reliable mechanic (basically a 3 man operation) I had been using for the last 10 years. And he's awesome. But now that I'm up here it's not really feasible to drive an hour south, drop off my car for a day or two, and figure out a ride back up here or renting a car. So I had to look for someone up here. Mike's Repair looked well reviewed so I took a chance on them. Turns out they are awesome too! I appreciated that when I called someone picked up right away in the evening and got me scheduled for first thing the next morning. Car was fixed the same day. Price was reasonable. A bit more than I'm used to, but I know the guy I used to go to was really giving me a sweetheart deal. I think Mike's gave me good value for the money I paid. I have 240k+ miles on this Civic of mine and it just keeps chugging along. So I'm sure I'll be back to Mike's as it needs more work. I'll definitely return! read more

Just bought a used car, knowing there were some issues but not knowing the extent of them. Called the shop, and spoke to Mike himself. He told me they would be able to look at it and could get me in quickly. I drove up there, and he had my car on a lift within five minutes. Him and one of his mechanics showed me where the problems were with my undercarriage, quoted me a very reasonable price for repairs, then even gave me some advice on how I could tackle some of the issues myself (I'm usually a DIY-er due to my limited budget). Opting to wait on any work, they let me out the door with just a handshake and the promise to come back, and I will certainly be back when I need skilled repair work. As I drove from Duluth to St. Cloud, more warning lights went on the further I drove. I didn't know what I was going to do! I found Mike's on Yelp and drove straight there. Denny quickly diagnosed the probable cause (alternator) and got it replaced by early afternoon. I even got a ride to my destination while my car was being repaired!
