Worst experience ever. Do Not Stay Here **Just the highlights** Due to multiple miscommunications between staff my stay here has been a nightmare! In the end I was harassed by a member of staff for having a service dog. I had been there three days already with no problems but she just decided I had to go and was aggressive and in my face about it. I did not feel safe and called the police on her. The police informed her that she couldn't make me leave so here I am with 7 days left of my pre-paid stay. *The details* I travel with a service dog due to an invisible disability. My dog and I are protected under the federal ADA regulations I made my reservations on the phone and notified them of this. I was staying 10 nights for a conference and they had no single rooms available but I was told to call back and double check for cancellations. One month later I called back. I spoke to a new person, they had a cancellation and I was told I could have a private room for three nights but would then have to move. I accepted this and notified them that I would be mailing my dog's food ahead of time and asked if she would hold it at the front desk, she accepted, I mailed the package. The package arrived and I received an email (another person) that someone had opened my package, saw that it contained dog food and reminded me of the no pet policy. I notified them that I did not have a pet I had a service dog. They apologized for the confusion and that was that. I arrived, checked in and paid for the entire stay. I was checked in by the person that emailed me about the dog food. He was very helpful, I requested an itemized bill for the different room rates but they said that I was going to be in the same room for the whole stay so it was not necessary. Three days later a new front desk person tells me it's time to move. I was about to leave for the day and had work obligations and a tight schedule. She told me it must have been a mistake when the other guy told me I didn't have to move. She was very rude and aggressive and I caved and began packing my belongings. While packing she came into my room and told me the dog couldn't stay. I reminded her the "dog" was a service dog (she wears a red vest) and handed her a PSA flyer for people unfamiliar with service dogs and continued to pack. 10 minutes later she came back in to the room and said that because the flyer mentioned ESA animals that my dog was obviously an ESA so I had to leave. I corrected her, again, and shut the door. I finished packing and started to move in to the new room and she called me in to her office. She asked me if I had the dog because of a disability, I said yes, and that ended the conversation. I went back to unpacking. She called me in her office again, then asked me what service my dog provided. The room was full of people, non-employees, I had to ask them to leave. I informed her of the task my dog is trained to do, She had never heard of it and did not believe me. It was at this point that she got angry and aggressive again and told me to leave again. I refused, she insisted, then came out from behind the desk like she was going to do something, so I called the police. I am still here for another 7 nights and she can't legally make me leave according to the police. So here I am getting dirty looks from the entire staff if I leave my room, and no recourse to leaving as all of downtown is booked from the conference. DO NOT STAY HERE All the online images are old or doctored, this place is seriously run down and not cleaned regularly. The bathrooms are filthy. There is only one overflowing refrigerator for the whole place, and the internet only works on the main floor. I could go on for another hour but I won't waste any more of your time or mine.

The front desk staff were amazing! Very friendly and we got cold water bottles to start, which was an unexpected but great surprise! We were on the 17th floor! Loved the views! My boyfriend and I drank wine and enjoyed the night views before dinner. The room was very comfortable! The bed was soft yet firm and the pillows were feather. It just had a luxurious feel to it! The tv in the room was huge! There is a minibar but of course it's expensive! There was a shower with a rainfall shower head, as well as a large soaking tub! Felt so good! All of the complimentary products smelled amazing! There are food/ bar options on the property. I have heard good things about them! We opted to go to Stock and Bond which is about a mile away and was VERY GOOD! While we were at dinner, someone brought up a chilled bottle of prosecco and small dessert. There was also a card of my boyfriend's birthday! A very welcome touch! This place does have breakfast you can order to your room! Or lunch, dinner, snacks, depending on the time of day. The menu looks great! This is a beautiful and clean property! Everyone was very friendly and I would happily stay here again!

As a business traveler, I don't think I will be staying in Moxy Hotels in the future. If you are looking for a place to have a weekend getaway, wedding party, a retreat for hipsters, Moxy hotels are a good option. The rooms are very basic and small. The bathroom and shower are very good. I like the vinyl flooring much better than carpet. As far as business , the loud music in the lobby makes it clunky to have a zoom call. I had to leave the hotel to do that. The rooms were not conducive for zoom as they are pretty small and the bed will always be in the image. The rooms are nice and more about that below. For a business traveler lobby coffee is super important.... In both Moxy hotels coffee was bad, really acidic with bad flavor. The "service" was also poor with the only mix in plastic containers of "cream" like you would get at a gas station. IMO in this category, Hilton wins with their more authentic "hip hotels", quiet lobby and better coffee. Hilton's strategy was to convert older properties back to their glory with a modern touch. With that said, after 20 years of being Hilton diamond, I am moving back to Marriott (again) for routine stays due to their Marriott's better rewards program. What is interesting is this category was started by, W (aloft), now owned by Marriott. Not sure why Marriott didn't just stick with the W or update aloft brand. Because Moxy is contrived, the decorating is like something I would've done in high school with album covers on the wall and fake graffiti chairs. I don't think this will age well.

Was on the ground floor on my previous visits. On the second floor last night in a suite room. Sitting area separate from bedroom with fold out couch and kitchenette. Had some minor nuisances, but nothing major. There was a sink in the bedroom that didn't work. Couldn't change the channel on the living room TV. No battery cover on the remote. Checkin specialist was cute. The river of one stars is unwarranted. All faceless with no reviews. High two or low three. It is crawling distance to Ansari's, so three. Hoping they don't make it a homeless shelter as was recently proposed in Dakota County and defeated. Don't kill the businesses around here! Put the homeless in Farmington or Lakeville or maybe north Northfield.

You can also see room numbers not hang out but with a sticky note. All those are understandable. They require you to put a parking slip on the car window dash, so when I asked if I could leave my luggage in the lobby while I went to the car for 2 minutes to put the slip in, I was told no. Then I went to a room where lights did not work. I did get a different room. This room definitely just went through renovation as I found dirty carpets and giant screw about 5inches long in the middle of the carpet. The room did smell like a fresh coat of paint though. I wanted to take a shower but noticed the tub was not draining at all. Despite everything I was taught about germs and sanitation, I used my fingers to pull out a huge wad of hair from the tub. The wad is so big it must have been clogged for at least a month. I am just glad there wasn't any bed bugs. The staff still uses a note book to record all information so service is a quite slow. Just know this place is one star and cheap for a reason.
