I've brought my daughter here twice and the ladies that work here have been fabulous. Our first time they gave out drinks to all the customers which was nice and refreshing. My daughter is too small to really get a manicure and pedicure but they still treat her wonderfully while putting on nail polish. The second time they didn't hand out refreshments but put on stickers on top of her nail color, my daughter loved it. The price is very reasonable for being in the city.

I've been coming here a few months now and LOVE Minna Nails. They are so friendly in there and work hard to give you the best service possible. I used to come in monthly for gel manicure but Minna convinced me to try to Dip nails and I've never looked back. Her attention to detail is unmatched and will even completely redo a nail if it isn't perfect! I always walk out super satisfied and feel pampered when there, she even gives me a LaCroix sometimes. I've brought 3 friends to her so far and all of them were super satisfied! They're also skilled at pedicures and even offer a CBD pedicure that I haven't gotten yet but definitely plan to soon. Gel manicure is $40 and dip manicure is $50. If you want a dip manicure I definitely recommend calling and making an appointment rather than walking in because she's always busy with those.

Visiting from out of town and had the best experience at Minna Nails! Tina gave me the most attentive and beautiful gel manicure, and my boyfriend got a nice manicure as well. They stayed late and were so kind to us. Highly recommend!

Dip nails 5 weeks after a manicure. Look how smooth and thin the manicure is where it meets the nail.

I had dip nails once before, from a different salon, and the polish came out thick and awkward. I figure that's just how Dip manicures were, but I decided to try Minna Nails for my second set and it was a completely different experience. The nail tech at Minna was SO thorough. She used a dremel tool in between coats, and carefully smoothed down every edge so that my nails were thin and light, but strong. I can get a good 4 to 5 weeks out of each dip manicure with no chips, and the edge of the manicure that shows when the nail grows is smooth and thin (see pic). It takes about an hour, but it's worth it for an entire month of not giving my nails another thought. My nails are weirdly flexible, to the point where I can't wear normal polish because it just pops right off. Gell manicure will last a couple of weeks, but dip nails are amazing.

I was so happy to hear nail salons were able to open up again! I called Minna Nails and made an appointment! It was easy to book and friendly! I arrived at 5:30, I was the only customer! Both ladies were so attentive! I got a CBD pedi $60- which included scrub, CBD message, panfrin callous treatment. It was worth it! My feet felt so relaxed and soft. I did the dip nail- first timer! I am obsessed they came out so good. They are taking all Covid precautions: mask, plexi glass. Great service and great prices!

Loved the dip manicure ($60 w tips) + pedicure ($32) I got!! They're so sweet, very meticulous and are taking all the COVID-19 precautions. Highly recommend a self-care mani/pedi day here.

My nail tech was Thuy. She was SO sweet and very attentive in her craft! I like to put glitter touches on random fingers (see attached photos) and I liked that when she didn't understand me, she consulted a coworker to ensure that I got what I wanted. I've been to places where the tech nods but then demonstrates that they clearly had not understood my request so I was very appreciative of that on her end. I'm extremely happy with my nails and super excited to have found an affordable and quality nail spot in the city (usually quality goes out with low price but this was not the case)!

    Nicely done pedicure !

No frills nail salon that gets you in and out with quality service. Walked in without an appointment on a Saturday around 4 and was able to get my pedicure started as soon as I picked out a color. Great, relaxing pedicure and massage (with hot stones!) for $23. Would come back, especially if in the area.

I love this shop! I've been coming here on and off for over 10 years. The proprietor of the shop, Tina is so sweet! Her daughter owns the shop along with another Minna Nails in Noe Valley and a New shop on 21st and Bryant, Ziva Nails. Tina no longer does acrylics so I had to go elsewhere, but now that I've discovered dip powder nails, I'm back to Tina! I went in tonight and my mails look better than they have in a long time. I'm so happy! Perfect for my weekend getaway! Their prices are less expensive than the other shops in the neighborhood As well. I highly recommend this cute neighborhood salon!

    Black French tips :)

I tried Minna Nails after seeing it on a walk- Needed a new nail place after moving, and really wanted to find a place to get quality dip nails - They delivered! Professional, so sweet and friendly, and good prices. Thank you!

I can bring in a vague idea or inspo pic and she somehow always executes it exactly how I imagined... if not better. Her skill set is super versatile, too, so whether I'm going simple or more detailed, chrome, 3D, fine lines, French tips... she can do it all and it always looks clean and intentional. She's also really efficient in the best way. Nothing ever feels rushed, but she works with a level of ease and confidence that makes the whole process feel seamless. And the durability is kind of unreal. I'm hard on my hands for my job and I've never had lifting, chipping, or breaks-- ever. That alone is rare, especially with this level of design. It's this mix of creativity and technical precision that's so hard to find, and why I keep coming back. So grateful to have found this spot... do yourself a favor, stop scrolling and BOOK IT!

This was the…read moresecond time that I visited Spectrum - the first was to get a gel-x set and pedicure with a friend, which was fine. This time, however, all I wanted was a builder gel fill but I left with two cut fingers and pure disappointment. I could tell that the woman doing my nails was shaving aggressively, but I figured she wanted to be quick & efficient. I didn't feel the cuts when they happened, otherwise I definitely would've said something about the pain. However, later in the process, I heard her say "oh" and I noticed that my left ring finger was ACTIVELY bleeding. Most frustratingly, she did not say sorry OR address the blood, rather, just started cleaning it like nothing happened. Then I looked at my right ring finger and saw cut skin there as well. I got light headed but couldn't muster up the courage to object. I shouldn't have to. The photos do not do it justice because as I mentioned, my left ring finger was BLEEDING down the nail. To make things worse, this nail technician was extremely rude and short. When I asked her if my left pinky nail could be shortened to match the length of my right pinky, she looked at it and didn't say a word. It wasn't until all the paint was finished that I then asked her again "can we please make this length match"? And she finally said she was going to, as if my question was an imposition. The audacity. At the end of the appointment, I still tipped (less than I normally do), regretfully-so. When I asked her if her name was one of the displayed venmo cards she said "no". Unfortunately, I do not have her name but she was on the younger side with glasses. I would not recommend unless you want to feel rushed, ignored, and even injured. I will not be going back to this salon.

It used to feel more upscale like a luxury salon they offered you a quality tea or a glass of wine or even water or whatever (which seems on par for the high price point) and the decor felt more upscale. Now it has kind of janky cheap IKEA fake plant vibes now and the salon really reeks and there is not even so much as a water cooler. I always get a headache coming out of there now, where as I used to love it when it felt so airy and breezy with the doors open and the city view ahead. I asked for the door to stay open recently and got a subtle eye roll because one of the nail technicians was cold. Come on, this is SF not Chicago in the dead of winter where you need to close the doors. No one wants cancer breathing all those chemicals! There is nowhere comfortable to sit if you are getting a manicure and no waiting area. I got a $5 dazzle dry extra charge on my last bill that no one warned me about until after. Hmmm. And having to pay the tip separately digitally is not a great look for a salon with luxury level prices. They need to streamline their process. There is a big sign that says no trying on nail polish but I guess if you're friends with Charlene you can break those rules - as I saw two women completely ignore the rules and start painting their own nails at the polish rack while chatting her up. lol. If you're not a regular there, you are treated politely (at least no one is openly talking about you in another language) but if you're a regular, you get this loud "hey girllll" type of greeting when you walk through the door which then makes everyone else feel a little weird. I could not relax the last time I was there because the music was so loud and I was stuck listening to an entire conversation of Charlene giving 'therapy' like platitudes to some bored whiny SF housewife - I felt like I was getting dumber by the minute listening to this and I should have brought my headphones or ear plugs for some peace and quiet. If the prices weren't so expensive then none of this would be an issue. When I am paying $60 for a manicure, I expect a good massage and the extras that come with that price point. LPNS is overall trying to be friendly and give quality work so that is why I give it 3 stars instead of less. But, truthfully, I miss the way it used to be and am looking for a similar place on this side of SF - a luxury comfortable nail salon. Someone message me if you know of a luxury nail salon where everyone is treated the same when they walk through the door!

The technician clipped my cuticle too far, causing bleeding, and was very rough throughout the service -- especially while removing the builder gel and filing my nails. She also skipped steps that Andrew had previously done, which affected the overall quality. I clearly asked for a gel builder fill and to keep my length, but she began filing my nails down anyway. I had to repeat myself multiple times and eventually had to switch to Gel-X just to regain the length that was removed. There also seemed to be a language barrier. However, instead of asking a coworker for clarification, she continued with what she thought I said rather than confirming my request. I ultimately had to stop and ask another staff member walking by to help translate. Additionally, pricing was not transparent. The service is listed online as $70 for a gel builder fill, but I was charged $85. When I asked about it, I was told I had already been given a discount, which was confusing and not explained. This technician needs more professionalism and should be spoken to regarding both technique and customer care. Overall, this experience felt rushed and careless, which was very disappointing given how great my first visit was.
