I took my daughter for a special manicure treat. I showed a picture of what she wanted (basically the yelp symbol in a contrasting color) and we were told yes. Once the base coat was dry and it was time for the polish she told us she couldn't do it. Totally OK to not do basic nail art, but you shouldn't say that you can do something that you can't. Horrible Customer Service!!!! I had actually done my nails here once and tried to get another appointment. After two attempts of not getting one, I thought I would call a few days in advance so I could get in. So I decided to call on a Wednesday for an appointment on Sunday afternoon. I asked for gel x or dip, whatever they had time for. They said they could do gel-x at 1pm on Sunday and that I would receive a venmo from them for a deposit. I thought that was fine since they are by appointment only and a way they could secure the more expensive appointments. Smart business move. Well, I never received a venmo, but made it to my appointment and brought cash so it would be an easier transaction and figured they would probably prefer that. I show up at 1pm on Sunday and they looked confused and just said "noooo you don't have an appointment. Did you call?" I told them that I called Tuesday or Wednesday...couldn't actually remember in the moment. One of the women snickered and said oh we don't open Tuesday so you didn't call us. And I knew for a fact that I did. I ignored the ride way she was treating me and asked if they had any time because I wanted to get them done before an important work event They pretended to shuffle the pages of their book and just said "oh nooo, we're so busy" and proceeded with their clients and just looked at me dumbfounded. Well, after searching my call log...I did make an outgoing call to them on Wednesday. I wasted my time going here and had to find a place that was open on Sunday that would have time to fit me in. Luckily I did find one across town and they did a fantastic job. I've received so many compliments so far. I definitely don't appreciate their lack of customer service and the rude and condescending tone they had with me. You're in the service industry ladies, please act like it! read more

I hardly ever visit nail salons, but after a horrendous day at work, I needed to treat myself. I called to see if they would take a walk in. They don't, but said I could call before I wanted to come to see if they were busy. I asked if I could come in 10 min for a gel manicure and regular pedicure, and they said they could accommodate. 10 min later, I'm in a chair choosing my colors. Yay! I don't have much to compare, but I am happy with the quality of service due to the following: 1. Extensive color selection, which was totally overwhelming, and my nail tech helped narrow down colors when I asked for a neutral color. 2. So many layers of polish. Honestly wasn't sure if that was normal or not, but I was told my lighter color choice needed 4 layers of polish. Worth it because the color is even and solid. 3. I was not aware that my nails could be shaped like this. Like I'm pretty sure I've never seen my nails like this, and they are adorable! 4. Massages were nice, and ended way too early. Hot stones on the legs were much appreciated. 5. Cute dog roaming around. Enough said. Really appreciated being able to come on short notice. I went in for a mani/pedi a month ago. The mani was fine but the man who did my pedicure was very rough (didn't even give my feet time to soak) and injured my nail bed on my big toe as he was cleaning my cuticles. I told him that at the time and asked him to disinfect the injured area. He brushed me off and said it will be fine. During the days after, I tended to my toe daily with ointment, but within a week it became infected anyway. It's still infected a month later (after two rounds of prescription oral and topical antibiotics), and now requires additional medical care. While I don't blame the business for how badly this has turned out, I just want to alert people to avoid the male nail technician. I was not impressed with the overall results of my gel manicure at this place and based on the reviews I expected much better. It's a very cute, small, neighborhood place. They have a very large selection of polish, gel, and dip colors. There are five spa chairs and two manicure stations. One thing I noticed, it was freezing in there. No way would I want to do a pedi there during this cold time, they need to get some heaters in the place. I went in for a gel manicure. Right away noticed the technique was not great. She didn't soak my cuticles and just went right to cutting them after applying the cuticle softener, so she ended up doing this routine twice because the cuticles were not softening, and even after that I could see some could use more cleanup. One of my cuticles ended up bleeding, which happens. But instead of stopping the bleeding, she just wiped it and went straight to applying the gel. So now, the polish and cuticle are not quite even and will probably peal. I asked to have my nails slightly shorter but same shape, now they are more oval than almond. She did a horrible job on filing them, and after the nails were done they were all snagging on clothes, so I had to ask her to fix it, which after the fact is painful and also removes the polish. I felt like the application was very thick, 3 coats of polish and topcoat were applied twice, which I'm not a fan of, it just looks very thick. The tips were also not sealed which helps them last longer and be smooth. The massage at the end lasted about a minute and it was only my hands, not my arms, another disappointment. In the end, one of the other technicians was filing and trying to smooth things out but at that point, it's a bit hard to do. I was watching her work on the person next to me and she was much better. I don't go to specific people in a nail place, it's not like a hair salon, I just come to the shop and want everyone to be equally good at their job. For a $40 manicure and $10 tip it just felt I didn't get the perfect nails I expected. read more

Vi, who did my gel manicure, was super open to my out-of-the-box nail ideas. She found a design that was similar to what I wanted, helping me finalize the nail art concept. She was extremely efficient with her work, had a steady hand, and in general was a very kind person. Total manicure took 1 hr to do. The prices are reasonable as well (my gel manicure with special designs was $45). Will definitely coming back next month to try out their dip powder services as well.
