Cute little store that sells pretty cute stuff. Prices are cheap but not sure about the quality here. I think product quality is definitely higher than then dollar store. I came here and bought a bunch of stuff for my Japan trip. Yes got myself a neck pillow along with two eye masks (one for my mom and one for myself). I do find the things that they sell are very cute looking. Coming to Miniso definitely beats going to the dollar store. At least the layout and the decor of Miniso looks a lot better than the dollar store. read more

It's like DAISO but smaller... mini... get it? Whereas Daiso has items for a dollar or $1.50 depending on what country you are in, here the items are a bit better quality and cost around 2 to 4 dollars. There's a huge wall in the back of the store with a bunch of different plushes. They all look like Line friends and popular Japanese characters, but they are all unlicensed, unofficial generic similars. Brown bear doesn't quite look like brown bear because it isn't really him here, haha. We also saw among the toys a "transformation toy" that looked exactly like a Hasbro transformer. They have an amazing flip-flop and plastic shoe section where you can get some pretty good house shoes for about four dollars. We walked out with some pretty good $3 sleeping masks (with removable cooling gel packs inside), $4 travel neck pillow, and a sock liners for very cheap but decent quality. read more

We have Daiso where we're from. To use, Miniso has better quality and a different variety of things. We went on Canadian Thanksgiving and got some deals. We hesitated buying more and we regret it when we went the next day and it was all gone. But this store is cute and good prices. read more

Be very careful when you're shopping at miniso this is usually my go to spot for most things that I can't find a dollar store because I do find a quality to be much better however, I snatched a pair of really cool sunglasses glasses that I thought were going to last as well as other products do except that somehow over 3 months time (and with oxidization I suppose?) there is a foggy film on the lens that I cannot wash off or wipe off so at least if there's one thing I do not recommend you buy a mini so it would be the sunglasses I do like the make up but only for lips I don't trust those products to put on the skin on my cheeks but the lip stain is very nice. I stumbled into this store by happenstance, really (it's right beside Joe Fresh, which was my destination, but JF wasn't yet open whereas this Miniso place was, so I went inside just to pass the time and get out of the cold). Talk about serendipity! This Miniso store is now my new fave Vancouver shopping place! The store is open, clean and super-organized. It's like an upscale, cute Japanese dollar store whereby everything is inexpensive and packaged so smartly and cute. And there's a huge variety of merchandise, from household items for every room, cosmetic and beauty items, toys, even electronics. I used to shlep all the way to Ikea for cheap batteries, but no more! This store has batteries too, super cheap (I don't care if they don't last as long as major brands), as well as school and office supplies, holiday stuff (even artificial trees! and a TON of stocking stuffers!), baby applies, and more. I got a bag of Xmas bows and some wrapping papers for literally a fraction of the lowest price and even "sale" price of similar items I've seen at local drugstores. Really fun time at Miniso shopping for holiday gifts. There is such a wide range of items -- from water bottles and under garments, to ear buds and wallets. They sell excellent small gift options for children -- 3-d puzzles, colouring supplies, toy cars, transformers, stuffed animals, and more. Staff are helpful when they see you've grabbed too many items and need a basket. They'll offer you one to make your shopping more seamless. The prices are so low that I wonder what's happening behind the scenes to keep the prices so low. Note that all sales are final at the registers. read more

I'm glad I stumbled across this new store while visiting Vancouver. MINISO is a Japanese variety store that offers a mix of lifestyle products, including cosmetics, home furnishings, electronics accessories, stationery, kitchenware and other misc things. It's like a higher end version of Daiso. The majority of the products ranged from $2.99 to $5.  There's definitely a lot to see and it'll be hard to walk out without making a purchase of at least a couple of items. read more

[Mujiso] If Daiso and Muji adopted a child, Miniso would be it. Putting mass-produced chinese porducts in a pretty package is what they do best. Despite being a Chinese company, they market themselves as Japanese - everything from the Uniqlo-style logo, Daiso-like name, ".jp" website on the storefront, and headquartered in Tokyo. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the stuff. It's a half step up from dollar store quality and great when I don't need anything super fancy. The beanbag-style travel pillows, cheap earbuds, and frocs (fake crocs) are great for casual use without being worried about them getting stolen. They fill that niche when you need something cheap but not dollar-store cheap. read more

It's probably a good thing that I didn't know about this place before. I was blown away by the quantity and quality of the products here and I have to say that the prices are more than reasonable... If you know what to look for. On my visit today I got the following items: - A large stuffed bear $19.99 - Heavy bass headphones $3.99 - Lavender toner $3.99 - 10 pack handmade lashes $2.99 - Sriracha Peas $1.99 I still can't get over how many different products there were... From portable battery chargers, to various under garments... There's something for everybody here. Even the most expensive things (like the portable speakers) are not that expensive if you think about what it would cost normally. There are various testers to try things out as well. I was sold on the headphones I chose after trying the testers (I wouldn't put the earphone directly into your ears though). I just held them up to my ear and I could tell that it wasn't tinny which is impressive for $4. I usually get the cheap $10 ones and these are hands down a better quality. Miniso is a Japanese brand that sells stylish and affordable items from electronic accessories to kitchenware to cosmetics to stationery and home goods. My boyfriend and I liked this place so much we visited twice in the past few days. Some of my favourite purchases: $9.99 headphones (both of us got a pair because the quality was that good!) It even has a volume control slider and all that good stuff. I also got a leather backpack for 12.99 similar to the ones you'd find at little burgundy for twice as much. Their plushies are also so soft and cute!! Good for the kids or as a gift as they're $5. Things I look forward to purchasing on my next trip to Miniso: invisible bra for $6.99, LED table lamp for $14.99, and a digital alarm clock for $7.99. The price of their products is low, and so is the quality. I only bought a few items from Miniso but they all broken down or useless after using a few times and end up throwing them away pretty soon. Especially the portable chargers. Mine just stopped working after only using it for a dozen times and I also heard from my friends that theirs did the same. #174 Ah Miniso, won't you dance with me in Calgary under the stars? Why must you make me travel to Vancouver (1/2 star deduction from the 5 stars I want to give you)? That's okay for now. Your nice, clean, and usually busy stores with friendly staff make it a nice place to shop and a mandatory stop every visit to Vancouver. Admittedly, I have only bought some USB cables for Apple (lightning) and LG and Motorola (USB Type C and micro-USB, respectively) and a few towels. But do not think for a minute that I do not see your other electronic goods like battery packs, headphones, and Bluetooth speakers. Oh and I saw those umbrellas and kitchenware and even personal clothes. Your store is usually pretty well stocked and staff is pretty efficient as well. Bang for the buck, the prices are pretty reasonable and I find the quality of your goods exceptional (best price on cables as mentioned above for the $). I have cables I bought 6 months ago and they are still almost like new (and I take them everywhere). I usually buy two cables each trip so you can imagine the fun I have going through the airport security with all those cables. I only have two USB Type C phones but now 12 cables!! Once you make the leap to Calgary, I will make use of your other items. See you next week. read more

Such a cute little store! I was attached to all those soft plush animals in the front. Then I saw all this sheet masks that i wanted to try for a long time! I love that there are an assortment of phone accessories and kitchen ware too. I also found the scarves and small purses very appealing. I walked by Miniso on the way to the train station and noticed that they have knick knacks of all sorts like Daiso. The store reminds me of Muji as well. I think that these are slowly becoming very popular in the city. I bought some make up pads, some bottles for fluids and an airline pillow for my trip in a few days. part 2 I kept asking her if she is going to refund or not in a calmer normal voice as requested by her, but she was dodging the questions and asking me to lower my voice(that was really lowered at that moment) but she was the one raising her voice now at me and using intimidating gestures toward me, and that was 4 times me asking her dodging until I told her that she was now shouting and using her hands toward me and she should stop that, she said well I do not see what is the problem since we are going to give them the articles for free!!!!!!!!! I asked her so you should refund the money since they already paid for them and she started typing on the cash machine. I stayed a minute watching from far and then I left the store and it took about a minimum of 20 extra minutes for her to refund the 3 articles. You have a nice products, a good concept and a fair price. You market yourself as a Japanese company, but one person can destroy all of that, there was about 50 clients during all that time and what they saw was not pleasant for your image. I know Japan, and let me tell that I will never have been treated that way in Japan, the teller would say sorry so many times about the mistake and I would not even have to ask for refund since all would have be done in seconds and the teller will be ashamed that he mislead one client and he will take full responsibility of that mistake instead of blaming anyone else, that is the Japan that I know and that is the philosophy you should train your North American employees not to disrespect customers to save a miserable 4$ on your bottom line. Bought an electric toy car for my son less than a week ago, the same day they were put on the shelf (the clerk told me that at the time). We lost the receipt. Tiny little dollar store with interesting things. The stock selection is hit or miss, but you will find a few cute things. I just wish they had a bigger stationary selection. I went before school started and they had tons, but I went back a few weeks later and the section had shrunk to about half of its size before.
