My wife had a horrific experience at winners yesterday We will never shop there again She asked a representative to help her and get her a cart. The woman said yes and 20 minutes later she still hadn't come back with one. Finally my wife found one. After paying she tried to get down the elevator but the cart wouldn't let her. Again she asked for help:another representative cam and " unlocked " the cart and left My wife tried to get on the elevator but it still wouldn't let her on. Which Winners/Homesense gets a complete fail? The Homesense next to me on 8th in Vancouver . This place is the very worst for merchandising and service. Staff are usually upset and overworked , the management team and coordinators are surly and very rude. There will be a line-up of 23 people and only 1 cashier with the coordinator standing by ignoring everyone. Terrifying. This store is badly in need of a management upgrade. They spent a few dollars renovating but missed the key to retailing. Making the customer have a great experience. Fail! read more

I wish to write a review about Homesense Chilliwack. I love Homesence stores, merchandise, value and selection. I shop between Langley, Abby and Chilliwack. I love them all, but recently I was shopping in Chilliwack and I had the best customer experience. Chilliwack in my opinion, has the best merchandise displays, floor staff and cashier staff. The store is clean and has a great feeling. During my last visit, it was busy with people lined up to purchase items. One staff member in paticular stood out to me, she was freindly, supported other cashiers and kept everything moving. It was obvious she love interacting with people and fellow staff members. As she was wrapping up my items, another employees asked her a question and called her by Kate. It is so nice to shop in a store that values customers and staff alike! I am retired now, but I would come back to this store again and again. You just can't beat it!!! So often you see people in a job that are just passing the time. The cashier tried to rush us by telling us there was a customer waiting when we were paying. She could have waited for us to finish first before inviting the customer in the queue. After we left the counter, one of our purchases was opened. We returned to the counter for a refund. She said it was not opened when she scanned it, as if we were blaming her which we were not (If it was opened when it was on the shelf, we would not have gotten it). She did not want to do a refund for us, argued that she did not open it which was not the point, but we insisted. Then she made a hand gesture to us that was very rude. We asked for her name and she yelled filppantly she did not have a name (she did not have a name tag). She slammed down the pen down on the counter for the credit card refund signature. Her behaviour was unreasonable. She tried to embarrass us by having the next customer wait for us while she was still processing our transaction when it was actually her fault - if she was not finished with the transaction with the previous customer (us), she should not tell the next customer to come over. Most cashiers would finish one transaction first before beginning another transaction with a new customer to avoid confusion. She laughed when we walked away from the counter. Her attitude was appalling. We will not visit Winners again. read more

An upscale flea market. You are bound to find something of interest here, but never quite the same thing. Likely the recipient of overstock items from across North America, Winners discounts these items to get them out the door. You'll find decent deals on some clothes and clearance items. I typically give shoes and pants a cursory look while waiting for my wife to get through the rest of the sections. A home section is here as well, but be ready to use your favourite search engine to truly understand the quality of what you're getting. The easiest way to seduce me is by whispering one little word into my ear... Winners. When it comes to Winners, I'm addicted. The Mount Pleasant location is one of my faves because not only does it blend the best of Winners and Homesense, it's also right next to a Home Depot, Best Buy, Canadian Tire, and so much more. Basically, it's a one stop shopping destination. Very convenient!!! And here's the thing that not many people tend to realize... Homesense has an AMAZING selection of gourmet foods and ingredients. I'm talking spices, sauces, pastas, powders, mixes and dressings that would cost you a bloody fortune, or can only be found in fancy shmancy specialty shops... all at a discounted price at this Homesense/Winners locations. Oh! And just a heads up, this is also an AMAZING source of reasonably priced non-perishable organic goods and health foods. Winners is also my go-to place for clothes, home decor, AND bedding. Some of the prices are not fair. I've checked multiple items online for prices, and this location sold items at the same price as brand new. The "discounted" and original prices were fake news. There is even a Canadian documentary on winners and how they've ripped people off, lied about prices and refused to talk about. It upsets me because store chains like winners gets away with lying. I now always check prices online to compare with given prices at winners. Unfortunately this issue isn't going to resolve easy, so please, be aware and be mindful of what you're purchasing. This location is probably the best, comparing it with the downtown location or the one in Richmond. It's tidier than other locations and there's usually good stock. read more

Seems to me the lady fronting the dressing rooms was in a mood of some sort. While I was hanging my items on the rack for them to be counted before heading into the changing rooms she asked 'Finish?'. Okaaay. And later when I was handing her back the no's she actually semi-demanded me to hang them on the racks in the back FOR her, and she really wasn't that busy AT ALL. I want to talk about the washrooms! They are always so DIRTY, I never saw this so often, it might be a special gift from Vancouver. I visited more than 52 countries and but every time I visit Winners is a disaster. Specially if you visit this store with small children. This issue is typical for Vancouver in general. In the States we call this TJ Maxx, I wonder if it part of the same company. Close out items at a discount. There is everything from clothing, Home Goods (another Maxx store), jewelry, and luggage. Woohoo! I'm a winner! Just got me some sweet stuff. Picked up a selfie stick. The retail price was $29.99 and got it for $14.99, what a score! Also, they have a nice selection of men's clothing. Got this sweet red dress shirt for $19.99. Name brand clothes at wal-mart prices, score! The clerk was very friendly and had a fake tattoo sleeve that just slips off made of fabric, pretty cool, eh? I LOVE Winners and buy the majority of my clothing there (not going to lie!). The reason I am such a fan is because I am a sucker for designer brands and quality but don't care to spend a fortune on my closet. Plus I can buy more shoes without feeling guilty! There is also the 'treasure hunt component' which makes the whole shopping trip fun and exciting. With this said, you need a good hour to make it worth your while. The reason I only gave it 4 stars because I feel this particular location of Winners is not very good. But like pizza, a bad Winners is still pretty good! It is great to have the Home Sense combo but even then I find the inventory a bit sparse. They need more of the fresh shipments arriving daily like they advertise on their fun TV commercials! read more

Like this Winners/Homesense because it's not NEARLY as crowded as the downtown one... but that being said... some of the stuff I look for in a Winner's just doesn't have the same amount here. I like button up shirts... dressier casual shoes... stuff like that. This place has almost no suits ever... and the shirts are always looking like they're almost out of them. This location is a bit more organized than the Metrotown or Downtown location, however, in terms of products, especially in the baking department I find that Metrotown surprisingly has more variety and selection. The fashions offered are a bit more current, however, honestly there isn't much of a discount and these branch of stores need to stop advertising it as such. The aisles are organized semi frequently compared to the hurricane that is sometimes found downtown. Staff are pleasant. read more

One of my favourite Winner's, simply b/c of the surrounding amenities like Save On, Canadian Tire, Whole Foods, and Wendy's too if I ever need a malt lol. But seriously, i find it's not as muddled and disorganized like the one in Lansdowne. Maybe that's more family-oriented and families bring their kids who end up messing things around, however, this Cambie is not just tidier, but also much larger. Perhaps combined w/ Home Sense too? And at least for the men's section, think there are more name brands or at least more of each label, ie. This is one of my favorite Winners because it is in a lower traffic area and the store is never noticeably busy...that is until you get to the line up. There line up to pay is always stupidly long! This location like many is huge, I have gone in here many times for just 1 item and left the store 2 or 3 hours later. I have also picked up some great clearance items for super cheap however you have to check the clearance/sale items super close for flaws because a lot of them are torn or the zippers don't work. I've noticed Winners never removes damaged items from the shelf, they just mark them down. I am not the most patient shopper. I like shopping to be a pleasant experience, not an afternoon of work. Winners was not made for a shopper like me. Winners is the place for hard-working treasure hunters with a knowledge of name-brands and keen eye for a bargain. I have some friends that fit that description, and it can be a lot of fun to head into Winners with them. They are my tour guides through the disorganized mounds of sweaters and overflowing bins of discounted sox. On my own, I tend to lose interest quickly and there never seems to be any staffers around willing to help lost customers. Every woman for herself! This particular location is fairly new and conveniently paired with HomeSense, so it makes for a quick 2-for-1 shopping stop. I never have any luck at Winners. I check out the odd location from time to time, but I've only purchased one yoga top in the past five years. That being said, this Winners location has a ton of stock. There is literally racks and racks of clothes. From tank tops to dress shirts to workout clothes, this Winners has it all. If you're patient (unlike me), you can easily find lots of gems in the racks. Compared to other Winners locations, this store is much more organized and quieter, which makes it much easier to find something you like. As for the Home Sense side, it is not as well stocked as the Winners side. That being said, there is still lots of options and good deals to be found. If you're a bargain hunter, this is definitely the place to go. read more

Frankly, I don't really have the patience for Winners. A visit often entails a lot of patience and time. The aisles are often disorderly and staff reluctant to help you source out the location of a particular item. Things have a very helter-skelter feel, thus making you work hard for your bargains. This said, when you ARE able to find stuff, it's usually a great deal. For the fashion-minded, their selection of fall and winter boots is amazing this year.. well, there are amazing pieces amongst the less than stellar styles. Clothing at this particular location is usually hit or miss. There's no real consistency when it comes to styles and it's often hard to find sizes because things are frequently re-shuffled by fellow customers, et al. Regardless, though, Winners often has some really good finds, particularly in the home and cookware sections. read more

A shoppers heaven for discount items on clothing, shoes, bags, accessories. This location also shares the same space with their sister store - Homesense. Thus, it's also a great place to purchase housewares, kitchen gadgets, home decor, etc. You need to bring your patience when you shop here... especially if you are shopping for clothes. Deals are to be had here, but you literally have to go through every single piece of clothing on a rack. Quite tedious and time consuming. Inventory is not as plentiful as their other stores in Richmond and North Vancouver. The Homesense side of the store is better organized. Pretty easy to locate items. Again, lacking in inventory.. but this probably due to its smaller store size. I would normally give Winners/Homesense 4 stars for their "deals". But I have to downgrade this rating to a 3* for their service. read more

Quite the bizarre layout as it's combined with HomeSense. As with any Winners, you can find hidden gems if you go on the right days and at the right time. It's really a hit or a miss. If you're looking for a particular thing, I wouldn't come here because chances are you won't find it, but it never hurts to look! They have some awesome sports bras, and have great prices on those too. I found a really pretty tank for $5.00 last time I went, and also Winners usually sells pantyhose, and different styles of tights that I haven't seen elsewhere--all at a affordable price. I would come back here for the tights, and sports bras...maybe some clothing, but not much else. read more

I often shop at Winner and Homesense downtown and enjoy perusing their selection of random, cheap items. I don't even mind that it's messy. Went into this location today and found some potential new clothing items but when I went to the fitting rooms, the girl working was so rude. There was no one else in the fitting rooms but when I walked up to her, she kept looking down at a paper on the desk for an uncomfortably long period. When I said hi, she glared at me and asked sharply how many items I had. She then grabbed them out of my hand, and quickly gave them back with a tag without saying anything. When I looked confused, she just said "you can go ahead now" with a really sharp tone. Then, when I returned the clothes (hung nicely on the hangers!) she just grabbed them without saying anything to me. The place is huge and has a large selection of clothing for men, women, and kids, plus a lot of other stuff like toys, shoes, handbags and yoga mats.
