As someone who loves plushies (a major understatement), I've always wanted to go to a Miniso but there hasn't been a location near me. Once I heard Chicago had a location, I knew I had to make a trip to check it out, and I'm so glad I did! They had so many cute plushies, home items, pet beds/hats, stationery items, and more! Everything was so cute, I had to refrain myself from buying everything. The workers were super friendly and kind as well! Yep it isn't as large as one might expect, but it is compact format in Chinatown on Wentworth. You can still navigate the aisles with other customers and there's still a lot of cute things for gift ideas. Brand name merch so you're not going to get knock off or even Amazon prices here. Prices we found were on the shelves. Pokemon nanoblock kits were $16. Friendly staff greeted you or held the door welcoming you in or seeing you off. read more

This little shop in Chinatown is filled with delights geared toward kids, I think. The store is super clean though and easy to shop. There are lots of squish mallows (I'm not sure if they're the actual name-brand ones or a similar product), and you'll find Sanrio merchandise too. There's some snacks and goodies like Pocky, potato chips in flavors that you won't seen on store shelves but for specialty or cultural shops like this, and other candies. This is a shop in Chinatown that takes credit cards, so that makes it helpful for me. I'm not sure I'll be back because I don't find myself in Chinatown often (this is maybe the second time, and I worked in Bronzeville for over a decade) and the stuff isn't really geared toward me... but as my little one grows it may be one to which we pay an occasional visit. read more

We came on a second day of their opening day. There was no line so I was pretty happy. I hate waiting in line Anyways, when we were not that many stuff. Some of the shelves were empty. Not sure if they don't have the inventory or they're sold out during the opening day but I was just a bit sad. Price wise. In my opinion, the price is reasonable. Super cute location, huge windows and absolutely adorable stuffed animals. If you spend $20 you get a token to use a crane to try to win a toy or if you write a review. I wrote my review after I got home we got stuffed animal, leashes for our pets, Snacks, present for little children. Such a bright and happy place. I love it. read more

Such a cute and fun store to browse. Next to the bakery we always go to this place is adorable from the moment you walk in the door. VERY loud music is playing so be aware. I really enjoyed seeing the huge pikachu and all the cute plushies. Most of the items didn't seem to be priced, and the things that did have prices were grossly overpriced. They're definitely a tourist attraction in Chinatown! Almost $7 for a bag of imported Lay's chips should be criminal. Those same chips are $3.50 at HMart and $2.99 back home in Nebraska. Amazing price and one of my favorite stores to grab cute gifts, home supplies, stationary, and cute decorations for very good quality. There is no return policy, but if it is defective, you can exchange the item. Just make sure you keep your packaging. The staff is very kind and there is so much stuff. They have so many cute things it's easy to forget why you went in and end up looking at every single adorable item!

Most items don't have prices, & once you pay there are no returns refunds or exchanges. That's pathetic. Make sure to ask for the price before paying. I don't recommend it & wont be coming here again. read more

You could find a lot of similar if not the same sorts of products just down the street and in most cases for less. With that said, even in peak busy hours the store was still clean and organized, with employees re-filling empty spots often so customers didn't have to wait long. Only wish the aisles weren't so cramped. read more
