I will never come here again. I came here to get my nails done for my wedding and I realized during the pedicure that the color was not coming out a nude pink but a very bright pink and I vocalized to my manicurist that it was not what I anticipated and that I am getting married in 3 days and the color clashes. She just looked at me and kept going. I told her 3 more times that I really needed a polish change but she still kept going. When she finished and went to start my nails I left. I paid $50 for a pedicure that I have to have redone tomorrow at a different salon. I've called twice and emailed and I cannot get in touch with a manager or even a staff member since they never pick up their phone. Update: the manager reached out and was very kind and understanding. My nails and pedicure were redone. read more

Loved my gel manicure from here! I had ripped off acrylic nails the day before, and you couldn't even tell when I left. The woman I had was a miracle worker. It lasted about 2 weeks before even chipping. The have a large variety of colors, I went with a neutral brownish-grey called Taupeless Beach. The nail tech I had was very friendly and actually talked to me unlike some of the assembly line nail salons in the area. At every other place I've gone the hand massage is sloppy, awkward, quick, and greasy (I usually have to wash my hands before I leave because of all the excess lotion). But not at this place, and the Lemonade lotion they use is not strong at all, or greasy. I actually wanted to take the bottle home with me. read more

Updating my initial review, I recently had an appointment and due to the tech calling out that day, I could not get my wax as they were booked. This was the Friday before Easter, so I was not going to get in any other place either. And just like that, I have to go without. This place is the cleanest I have been to. Marcia is excellent with brow shaping. I have had my nails done several times by different people and always left happy. The pedicures are great with the exception that I find the seating very uncomfortable. This significantly detracts from my enjoyment when I have had pedicures. The prices are high. I do not consider this a relaxation spa (always loud chatter, music, etc.) They are super clean, sterile and provide good services and have many colors/brands to chose from. Considering I hadn't had a pedicure in a while and we needed to do some errands at the Derby Street shops, I thought I would give this place a try. I was very impressed, they took me right in, were very efficient, was immaculately clean and the place is beautiful. I also liked how they hit a timer for my nails dry on the iPad. I recently had my eyebrows waxed at the Hingham location. I had originally made an appointment for 5:45, but called to see if I could change it to 4:30 and they happily changed it for me. When I arrived a few minutes before 4:30, the receptionist checked me in and let the esthetician know I was there. She came to get me promptly at 4:30 and brought me to the waxing room. We talked briefly about what shape and thickness I wanted my eyebrows to be. Lam talked to me about how to keep up with them in between waxings. It was a fast process and my eyebrows looked great. The service is on the more expensive side, but I would definitely recommend for a special occasion! read more

I have been to this salon a handful of times. It is always clean and the experience is usually pleasant. However, I am highly disappointed for the second time in my manicure. I had gel removal and got the performance polish. On day 2, it is already chipped. The gel underneath wasn't fully removed (despite my request to smooth the nails out more) and the polish is bumpy and bubbly. She barely clipped my cuticles and I have several hangnails. This was with the same technician who I had about a year ago and I had the same complaints. It's just too pricey to walk away this dissatisfied. If I try them again, I will call to be sure I'm not booked with the same technician. read more

I went to the salon last week for the first time to get my eye brows waxed. It was my first time trying the salon, and for $20 I was hoping for the most beautiful brow wax I have ever recieved. I must admit that the salon itself is absolutely beautiful, clean and luxurious... Although the salon is beautiful I am thoroughly unimpressed by the wax I recieved, they have barely any shape and they have since curled in this weird direction that I can't seem to fix.. It has only been a week and I am already needing to go get them re-waxed. I do feel the technician was friendly (totally forget her name she had a bit of an accent with dark brown hair I believe she may have been Latina) but I did feel she sort of rushed me along and could have cared less if I ever came back or not. I am someone who gets my nails done weekly and brows every two weeks and my impression is that she really didn't need anymore consistent clients. After reading reviews I was excited to try this salon, but am disappointed that my experience went the way it did. read more

I would have given this a 5 but changes in the last few months have sopped me. - When first started to go to mini luxe they offered up front a variety of opi gel colors with matching regular color. For the last few months they have been doing away with the variety of opi and choosing to focus on higher end polishes that arent gel or opi. This has caused me to have to buy my own colors and bring them in. If this is the case they should really offer a discount if you byop. Any discount would help off set the cost of their decision to limit the opi colors. - Also in the last few months the uniforms have changed. They do not look as professional as they use to be, They look cheaper, wrinkle more. They dont fit the associates as well as they use to. Quality is lacking here for the fabric. What keeps me coming back: - Angela! She takes her time, does and excellent job. Knows what she is doing. Its such a nice time getting my nails done with her. She is personable and just a great awesome tech! -The cleanliness of the place. Always clean. Do not have to worry about any germs - They have removed the gel removal fee. read more

I have been to MiniLuxe Hingham twice. The first time I came in for a shellac mani and pedi with callous remover. Today I got a Brazilian and a shellac removal and mani. My technician today was Marcia. Unfortunately, I do not recall the lovely lady who provided my services the first time. Both technicians were complete pros- very clean, just the right amount of conversation (so awesome!!!), and the finished product was awesome. My nails looked great. I am on week three of my pedicure and it still looks great. The shellac mani lasted a full two weeks and could have kept going except my nails grow really fast so it was time. Brazilians are not the most pleasant of experiences in general. However, Marcia was by far the best I have had. She was professional, efficient, and extremely thorough. I had no swelling or tenderness afterwards. Our conversation was pleasant and kept my mind off of things which was welcome. I felt like she was letting me take the lead in how much I wanted to chat, which I appreciated. Everything was extremely clean. The price was totally reasonable for the service, btw. What a disappointment... The only reason I am giving this place two stars is because of how beautiful and clean the actual salon is. This was my first time visiting and I got an eyebrow wax, I planned on returning for my nails at a later date because I was crunched for time that day (cant say I plan on doing that anytime soon)... In all seriousness, for $20 it was the WORST eyebrow wax I have ever received. It has only been around nine days (I usually go well over two weeks, they have needed to be redone for around four days though just haven't had the time) and they look crooked, uneven and the hair on the right eyebrow will not go down flat because of the way she cut them. It was also one of the most shapeless brow waxes I have ever gotten.... Along with the bad wax, the skin around my brows (under, in the middle and above) has been broken out since two days after the wax which has NEVER happened to me before, I even followed her instructions for applying sunscreen the following day etc... The woman who waxed was very friendly, but she rushed through I felt and for the money didn't really pay much attention. Overall, I would rather pay the $12 I usually pay and get a way better brow wax, I am seriously disappointed and wish the results would have been better.... Now I just need to get this breakout that's been around for seven days under full control...what a disaster. read more

First time at this salon and although I was impressed with how clean it is my manicure and pedicure were horrible. The pedicure did not last longer than 20 mins and my manicure was done at the same time. I was okay with the fast pace of the appointment although it was a slow night but the nail polish did not last long at all. Within two days after the appointment my nails were all chipped. The prices are very high for poor services. 25 dollar add on for gel is ridiculous when anywhere else is just an extra $5. read more

MiniLuxe I AM A FAN! I LOVE that everything in the salon is SUPER CLEAN! This is what is most important to me that is why I don't mind paying a little extra. My toes and fingers were polished to perfection. But, oops the big toe smudged & yes, I was that person who called and asked to come back & yes, they welcomed me back with opened arms! I asked the front desk what the difference between a gel, and a performance polish was and she said it lasts two weeks but takes 5 minute to dry, so I decided on the performance polish. I had a great experience here today! I got a mani/pedi with Audrey. The shop is super clean, and I didn't miss vibrating massage chairs or dirty whirlpool foot baths. Audrey was very sweet, attentive, and I was completely un-rushed. I was there for about an hour and a half and enjoyed every minute! I didn't find prices that much more expensive than the nail salons I live close to, and I would much prefer to frequent MiniLuxe to support decent pay, and hospital grade cleanliness. read more

Came here for waxing with Victoria. I was very impressed with their cleanliness - they take hygiene very seriously; even switching to a new set of autoclaved instruments for different areas. The waxing took a while, but Victoria was very detail-oriented and checked in to make sure I was happy with my brow shaping as she worked. I went to the salon for a Mani/Pedi combo and it was bad, they didn't even tell me anything about acrylic nails that i wanted, the technician didn't even tell me what kind of services they offer, she looked tired and did a normal nail paint on my toe nails as i requested for a gel one. First off I want to say that this one star review is specific to this past time I have been to the Hingham Miniluxe not overall. I have been to your location now 3 times after I received a gift card for my birthday. The first time I went was great. I got a gel manicure and everything was good. The second time I went I saw Angela she was WONDERFUL an absolute gem and does a fabulous job with gel. we talked the entire time and is quick, clean, and leaves your nails looking perfect...Angela was the reason for my third visit. About 4 days into getting my gel from Angela I broke a nail and the polish started to chip so I called and made an appointment to get the chip fixed because of the 1 week guarantee on gel. ( the chip was not Angela's fault in anyway) When I arrived that friday for my 6:15 appointment I was told the girl who would be fixing my chipped nails would be just a min or two...15 minutes later she comes over. Now i was fully ready to have a similar experience with this girl as I did the other two times I have been here. Hannah was NOT what I was expecting. First off she started off our appointment complaining that I had sparkles on one of the chipped nails and that she hates to take off sparkle gel ( with a roll of her eyes). Then not 5 minutes into my appointment she started complaining that she should have already been home by now and that when she is done with me she still has to clean up. She took me 15 minutes late and now she is complaining to me that my appointment is causing her to be late!? I let that one roll off my back. Then once the polish was removed and she was filing my nails she broke one of my nails and then told me that I must have broken the nail...well funny thing was that it was not broken when I came in or after she took off the polish only when she started to vigorously file my nails and then continued to argue with me that it was my fault it was broken...I don't think so. I was very unhappy with this appointment and would not recommend Hannah to anyone. i don't know if she had a long day or what but talking to a customer like that and openly complaining to them and blaming them for her poor time management skills was not ok. The only reason I would consider coming back to this location is that Angela is so wonderful. read more

My friend & I came in last week and my manicure which is suppose to last 5 days guarantee chipped within 5 hours. I reached out to the company about this and I will give them credit that they said I could come in and get the chipped ones redone. Which I appreciate. However, I don't live near the salon & it would be more of an inconvenience with my work schedule. I just decided not to get them redone and that was that. However, a day later on 5 out of 10 nails I started to get cuts and the skin around the bottom of the nails started bleeding and hurt. I had no choice but to take the polish off. Waste of money. Been twice for gel mani. Happy with the work but the price is outrageous. It's no better then some other places I've gone for a lot less. After yesterday I'll probably not go back again. Had gel removed and then redone and they charged me $10 more for removal. I've never been charged for removal when I'm having a gel mani done. So it was $55 and then I had to tip! I was expecting great things but left with a pretty average, border-line-not-good gel manicure and a pedicure with blobs of uneven polish along the cuticle line. I'm not one of these crazy OCD people where it has to look utterly perfect but it's very frustrating when you can already see the 'breach' points where it's going to chip. It also drives me insane when you go in with one shape of nail and leave with a drastically different one. My friends and I had our first Mini Luxe experience in Hingham on Saturday afternoon. We are from Cape Cod and really do not have any place quite like this on Cape. Even though we are a good 2 hours away we all agreed a day of shopping and a trip to Mini Luxe was in order on a regular basis. Just a wonderful experience in every way. I attempted to contact your business through the website, however, the website was giving me errors and was not sending the email. For the price tag I was expecting the most incredible mani/pedi, however, I left with uneven nails (some of which we jagged from filing), a poor paint job on my fingers, polish on my skin, my skin was cut on one of my toes, and my polish started chipping less than 24 hours later (I was not doing any activity that would disturb the polish). You can see where the second layer of polish did not cover the first and the polish at the bottom of my nail near the cuticle are all different and uneven. Additionally, the polish on my right foot big toe slid down my nail and bunched up the evening I got my pedicure. I put shoes on about 5 hours after my service, and no other nails were disturbed. I was expecting a service commensurate to the cost, but admittedly have gotten better mani/pedis at less expensive salons. I ended up spending around 2 hours at the salon with a very nice nail tech, but I am not sure how experienced she was and didn't feel comfortable pointing out problems I had with my nails. While I am unhappy with my nails, I was impressed by how clean the salon is, your friendly staff, and the relaxing atmosphere. Again, I feel bad writing a complaint but for the price tag I was hoping for something better. read more

Prices are a little steeper than I'm used to, but I was able to make an appt online just a few minutes prior to my arrival - convenience can be worth the price. When I first started going to MiniLuxe, I loved it. While it is a bit more costly than other nail salons, you can always count on it being extremely clean and sanitized. With that being said, over the last two and half weeks I have had to get my gel manicure fixed three times (a gel manicure is generally supposed to last at least two weeks) I originally got them done on Jan 31, at the MiniLuxe in Newton. 7 out of 10 of the nails started lifting and peeling on day 6. I called and was happy to find out I could get them re done free of charge. Although this takes an extra 60-75 mins out of my day, I was relieved to know they would fix them for no extra cost. After getting them re-done the second time, two of my nails have completely peeled off again, within 4 days. I called the Hingham location to express my disappointment, and also to see what they could do. I find it to be extremely inconvenient to have to keep going back three times within three weeks to get the nails fixed. The receptionist took down my info and number and told me the manager would be calling me back. After over 24 hours I am yet to hear from anyone regarding the issue. Needless to say, I wont be wasting my money on MiniLuxe manicures anytime soon, nor will I recommend them to friends. read more

I've been here several times and the ambiance can't be beat. Normally I get an amazing manicure here that lasts 2 weeks (regular, not gel)! I went this weekend and my technician clipped my cuticle bed pretty good and later that day that nail chipped (I'm guessing she didn't properly alcohol -wipe it so she wouldn't hurt me). When I called later the manager was incredibly professional and offered me a free manicure when I come in next time. I will definitely be going back since I love Miniluxe! read more

I was offered water or tea when I sat down. I do have two complaints the bench I found to be uncomfortable and the color selection I found a little limited. read more

I have been nothing short of satisfied with every service I have received. The location is very clean and offers a great variety of services and polishes for you to choose from. If you are looking to book and appointment at this location I would highly recommend booking with Victoria. She is not only extremely detail oriented, but she is a kindhearted individual who will truly make your experiences at the salon unforgettable. The whole staff is very kind and always has bright smiles on their faces whenever you walk in the door.
