As a surprise, my husband got me a gift card to MiniLuxe to get my nails done. This was my first time as a customer and I got a gel x manicure but after about 4 days I noticed my nails catching my hair when I showered, then 1 week later my nail popped off when simply using the remote. Then the next day another popped off when closing my car door. By the 10th day I was down to only 3 nails left. I called MiniLuxe on my day off. I work 7-7 as a nurse and they are closed before and after my shift. They advised me their work is only guaranteed for 7 days. She said she could offer me 20% off, but offered to contact her manager and see what she could offer. I agreed and she said she would call me back the following day. I never heard from her or the manager. The cost of this manicure is $100 which is significantly higher than other salons. I expected to get premium service at a premium price-- not work that only lasted 8-10 days. I would not recommend this salon for gel x or return for further services. The salon was very clean and staff were very friendly, but their prices and quality do not equate.

Instead of using Apres Gel-X, she used regular soft tips with a glue from a tube that became squishy and gel-like. A lot of the glue seeped out from under the extensions, which was a bit bothersome. Some of the tips also don't fully cover my nails, causing my hair to get caught under the corners. My first time getting this service was with Honey and she was fantastic, so I was really hoping for the same quality while on vacation, especially for the price. Unfortunately, it didn't quite meet those expectations. I wish more care had been taken to size the nails properly and use the standard Apres Gel-X method.
