Monster mash ice cream and it was so good. Service was quick & ambiance was clean. Feels like so much stuff is for sale other than ice cream. Like so many little toys.
In love with this place. So many options for unique drinks. We ordered banana coffee, matcha coconut cloud, mango sticky rice smoothie, fresh coconut smoothie, and Thai tea sticky rice. All so delicious! They also sell different flavors of Lay's potato chips that you won't find in any regular grocery stores. There were jewelry, stuff plushies, mirrors,and other small knick knacks on display for purchase. Very cute place to enjoy a drink or have some ice cream especially on a hot day. Service is amazing and will be a returning customer.
I always like coming here. Love the decorations. The drinks are good. Employees here are so nice! My kid says, "I will give this place ten Stars and ten out of ten"
The most adorable little cafe! I got the banana coffee and brown butter + triple chocolate cookie -- the banana coffee was refreshing and flavorful (on the milkier side but I like that), and the cookie was flavorful and had a nice crunchy texture (they warmed it for me!). I also tried my mom's matcha coconut cloud, and as someone who normally doesn't really like matcha, it actually was really good! Check this place out if you're in the mood for a sweet treat or a coffee break!
I used to go to the Snow Monster in Westminster as a kid until they closed. Since then, they've rebranded to Mini Monster but still sell the same stuff! We drove down to Long Beach to get it again after many years and I ordered the same thing I used to: Strawberry Sunset Lemonade & Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich. We chose vanilla ice cream, which was much better than I remember it tasting. The flavor is very distinct vanilla and standout, which I really liked. We got the strawberry macaron cookies on the side and they were a bit smaller than before, but just as good. I wish they sold the cookies separately, as I would buy a ton! The sunset lemonade was okay, I feel like it didn't have as much flavor as the location in Anaheim, but it wasn't bad either. Overall, I really enjoyed everything and it was pretty nostalgic! The store itself is really clean and nicely decorated, with its inside being almost like a loft. Service was really fast and straightforward, and there are about 4 tables to sit at inside. It's located on a street with very little to no parking, so I would recommend turning down into a side street and hoping for parking there. There is no designated parking lot.
Update to my old review: Don't forget the chocolate chip cookies! Omg! So yummy! Oh and the Asian snacks are yummy!
Wow! I've always loved this place. And it has changed and came so far since I've been coming here!!! It used to just have boba (and the cute gifts / flowers they sell) But now the menu is huge!!! This place has street parking only, which isn't the businesses fault. But since up close parking is important to me, it's a bummer. So keep that in mind if you have limited walking abilities. The staff here is always so friendly! I'm always greeted immediately. Greg took great care of us They do have other locations. Like the one in Anaheim, conveniently located in the Anaheim packing district This place is also woman owned!! So bonus points there. I love seeing how many things they have added. I've bought so many gifts here for girlfriends (cutest stuffed animals, pins, mugs and etc) to support this local gem The ice cream is delicious and I love the ice cream sandwiches they make with the macarons. My mother hates macarons but loves them from here. So that's saying a lot. Now they have things like banana splits and tea flights?!?! Whaaaat!!! The shop is so cute It has seating I love seeing this place adding things and getting more popular In fact, while we were here Greg was talking to us about how they are trying to perfect another menu item to add (Flan) they also have some seasonal items I have seen the gorgeous tea flights on social media. And today was my lucky day. I came here with someone else who is obsessed with flights. They have 3 different ones! So we had to order each one The - matcha flight The-milk tea flight The -island glow flight (this one was probably my favorite and I loved how it was presented) Matcha flight- matcha latte, banana matcha and strawberry matcha (for me not being a matcha fan I thought these were really good. Especially the banana matcha) Milk tea flight -jasmine milk tea, honey milk tea and signature thai tea Island glow flight-sunset strawberry lemonade, peach tea and fresh thai coconut water I also ordered an ice cream sandwich (you pick the flavor of ice cream and pick the flavor of macarons you want) I picked coffee ice cream and fruity pebble macarons (don't question it, it totally goes together and it's delicious) I REALLLLLLLY wanted a banana split but unfortunately they were out of bananas (it was a Saturday and we got there as soon as it opened at 11 am) And I ordered a milk tea with boba in their boba bear reusable glass cup topped with cotton candy. When we were leaving Greg was actually extremely nice and went above and beyond and he knew the lid of my cup was sticky from having the cotton candy on top. So he asked if I wanted the lid cleaned. This place is also big on sustainability when it comes to the environment. They have a whole shelf of reusable straws for purchase (they are actually a very good price. I recommend the metal ones) They still have the huge glass cups (the big mason jars size boba bears) you can buy and then have them refilled for a certain price. I highly recommend popping in for a quick drink to go or staying for the beautiful tea flights Prices are extremely reasonable And I'll just come out and say it. Staff here is amazing. So please don't forget gratuity The only downfall is now they have such a big menu it's impossible to know what to order. Everything is delicious. Came for boba after dinner and enjoyed the quality of the boba. I got the matcha latte with banana custard which was delicious (taste like nilla wafers). They were quick to make drinks, and the inside was very cute they sell knick-knacks. Beware this place has no parking lot so street parking in neighborhood. It gets bad at night so uber or walk if possible.
The ice cream was so good and I loved it. A lot of good selections Definitely coming back for more

I was pleasantly surprised by MiniMonster! The prices were super affordable--around $5.95, which is such a win for how cute and creative their desserts are. They had adorable options like ice cream macarons, and you get to pick your own macaron top! Some were shaped like bunnies, hearts, and other cute designs--it was almost too pretty to eat (but I still did). There were tons of Instagram-worthy photo ops, from the desserts to the aesthetic setup. There are maybe three or four sets of tables, but if you grab a seat inside or outside, it's such a vibe. Definitely a fun little treat spot if you're craving something sweet and cute! *Parking is a bit of a pain because it's on the main street- but at certain times it's free! read more

This playful, fun dessert and beverage place was a delicious stop after having lunch a few steps away in the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach. We love going to this area to eat or walk around because there are so many choices. Inside Mini Monster they make a variety of coffee, tea and Boba drinks in unique flavors. The cafe is also set up with som fun shopping too. The baristas were helpful in suggesting which drinks to try as well. Prices are on the high side which is to be expected in this trendy area. read more

They have the most beautiful matcha flight! It's so unique, all the drinks are placed in a garden. The flavors were regular, strawberry, and banana. Both the regular and strawberry were 10/10. But personally, the banana tasted like those banana candies with artificial flavoring. Which, I'm not a fan of. I know other people love those, so it depends how you feel about the flavor. The barista was fast and prepared everything quickly. I didn't wait long and neither did anyone else who was ordering. Love this spot and all the unique drinks and desserts. read more

The boba was 100%! We got milk tea classic and peach tea both with boba. Sweetness levels and boba chewy was was perfect. The ladies working today were all super nice, even with the high heat. No AC, so we were all sweating haha. But I don't know hot it gets over there these days. The macarons were good too! They have a little mini store in the front which they sell specialty Asian snacks, ramen, candy and drinks, as well as a gift shop area. Ambiance was super cute. They have another location in the Anaheim packing station, but this one was way cuter. read more
We came here for dessert after dinner. We wanted to try something new and out of the ordinary. This was near to where we live so we choose this. After looking up some menu choices right here on Yelp. We settled on two items that we were more than satisfied with. The churro macaroon with the horchata ice cream is a must! The flan with ice cream is also a solid choice. The overall layout of this place is really fun. Pins and other fun items to buy. You can eat outside or sit down inside. Overall, great choice for dessert or if you're looking for something sweet. The jasmine milk tea is just as good as I remembered it. I'm drinking it around 2:00 p.m., so I can hope that it will not interfere with my sleep. The upstairs cafe area is blocked off, most likely a victim of the pandemic reorganization. This is unfortunate, because the remaining seating area is quite limited. The outdoor patio remains available, but you'll be in full exposure of the scorching afternoon sun. The staff was friendly but nothing too special. Parking on 2nd Street is still a nightmare, but that's nothing new. read more

This place is an absolute gem! While the seating area is small and cozy, you still have enough room to place your order at the counter and enjoy looking at all the unique items they have. I had the iced Vietnamese coffee and it did not disappoint! So so good! I' definitely be back to try more things. I also purchased the cutest little stuff animal! I shark with a six pack! He is so stinking cute! My girlfriend got me one of the dinosaurs with dry flowers for my desk. So cute! The staff is wonderful! read more

Been to snow monster before way back then with my sister but recently went back for the first time in forever. A lot has changed overtime, inside is still cute with lots of trinkets you can purchase when you walk in. To name a few, they had plushies, boba related things (boba plushies, straws, candle). They have snacks like chips as well you can snack on. Even if you didn't want to do anything to eat/drink from there, it's a cute little place to look at the stuff they sell. Anyways going on to the drinks... they have a vast list of drinks, there is a drink for everyone! The matcha drinks were calling our name. My friend ordered the banana matcha (matcha with banana foam) & I ordered the cloud matcha coconut (fresh thai coconut water, creamy whipped matcha). You might be thinking like "coconut water with whipped matcha???" like don't knock if till you try it. Honestly, soooo good, I enjoyed every last drip of my drink. It really is good matcha that they use & you can taste. I would definitely try their matcha flight next (has 3 different matcha drinks you can try). In addition, service was good, they were friendly and made our drink pretty fast. Overall enjoyed my experience here & will be back to try other drinks! read more

MUST TRY ICE CREAM SHOP I absolutely LOVE homemade macaroons & this shop makes them fresh! They had many ice cream flavor selections & different flavors of macaroons I ordered the mini monster (which is vanilla mint chip) & the strawberry macaroon! 10/10!! They also had a fruity pebble macaroon that I will definitely try next time! Overall the service was great & the people were friendly The ambiance was quite busy & there's many shops around which is a perfect location for an ice cream shop like this! 10/10 would definitely come again to try out their other flavors read more

I love Mini Monster Cafe!! I've been to other Mini Monster locations and they are always so freakin cute! I love all the plushies and stickers. Boba stickers? Yes please! Cute tea plushies? Yes please! The drinks are really tasty too! I love their teas and boba drinks. They have a big glasses (made of plastic) that ate re-fillable. So you can bring it back and you get a discount on your drink! How awesome is that?! I love the cute neon sign inside too. Cute photo opportunity! read more
