Boba milk tea with oatmilk regular sweet. On the less sweet scale and boba was very good. Perfect texture. Strawberry Matcha with oatmilk was decent. Located inside 2nd & PCH shopping center on the Marina side towards the parking lot on the other side of Whole Foods. entrance. I usually park at the Marina side if there's parking available.
I have been here twice now. The first time was probably a few years ago. I recalled that I didn't like what I ordered. This time around, the same. I ordered a lychee oolong. Not sure if they ran out of oolong, but there was no tea flavor at all?? I felt like I was drinking lychee juice or something. Maybe they are popular for their strawberry matcha milk? Since Boba Guys opened, I heard good things about it. Maybe I happened to order the wrong drink. I don't think I will be back, but if I do...I will try their milk drinks.
Always stopping by here when I'm at 2nd and PCH. The rose black tea, strawberry matcha latte, and lychee oolong tea are my top favorites. I love that their drinks here are not as sweet but flavorful and refreshing. Tons of seating to hang out at. On occasion, they have a live musician on the stage by the grassy area. Good drinks. Fast service.
Came here on a random weekday, and it was empty. I expected better service given so, but one of the workers just looked at me through the open door while I was standing at the register. At least a simple hi or a wave would suffice. Also, it still took some time before the worker walked over to me even though she made eye contact with me already and there was no one else waiting to order. Keep in mind, there were two workers in the back. The drinks were okay. Not super bad, but not super great where I would go out of my way to drive back here for preference. I tried the Tie Guan Yin Oolong Milk Tea and liked the light taste, but I've also tried TP Tea's version of the Tie Guan Yin Oolong Milk Tea and TP Tea's tasted light but more flavorful in comparison. My mom tried their Classic Black Milk Tea, which was good-- can't really go wrong with a black milk tea at a boba shop, so it's a safe choice. I do like how this place is outdoors and you get the fresh air by the ocean, so that's a plus with the outdoor seating. Just wish that service was better overall.
My son and his friend's favorite boba place! Yummy! I'm trying the different boba flavors! He likes the banana one and the strawberry one. My friend likes the rose boba. It's an acquired taste. Tastes fancy and healthy. Great staff! Great place to sit and relax and hang out and shop around after! Thank you guys!
Idk if it's this particular drink but I thought it was pretty average. I still enjoyed it since we worked out before. The boba was slightly hard and it was difficult to chew. Also maybe because it was later in the day, I just felt rushed to order since they were cleaning up? But the location is nice since there's plenty of seating. My friends and I were craving boba and wanted something sweet but I don't think I'll be coming back unfortunately.
the wait time was incredibly long, so we even went over our parking time limit waiting 30 minutes for 2 drinks. i've definitely had better experiences with this location. considering the price, the slow service, high prices, and small sizes mean that i will not be coming back. strawberry matcha: 8/10 hojicha latte: 8/10
We went for the Boba guys X Laneige event and was disappointed by the organization and attitude of the employees. We got there at 9:30 and the Bobo guys did not open until 11, but there were definitely people cutting and saving spots. While it is not the employees fault that the event was not organized, they were rude when we were ordering. I was also disappointed that they kept us waiting in between orders since everyone was basically only getting one drink. They also would not let us make any modifications to the drink. While me and my friend just missed the free full sized product, we were handed a small sample. I was also disappointed to see that some drinks were poorly made, especially since we waited so long. The drink itself wasn't bad, just really sweet. I liked that it was made with coconut milk, but the toasted coconut on top tasted like plastic and seemed to be there just as a decorative touch. Overall I would not trust this Boba guy's location. It's definitely not the same quality. I've tried at other locations. Also, the location is like an outdoor stand in the middle of a wind tunnel, so it's freezing cold.
Interesting location. They are on the marina side of 2ND & PCH, like in a tunnel between Noble Bird and Lululemon. It gets super windy, especially in the evenings. There's plenty of seating if you want to linger. The large aardvark logo on the white brick walls is a good background for drink pictures. Not counting the short-lived Our Place pop-up, this is my least favorite Boba Guys. Drink standards and boba texture isn't as consistent compared to what I've gotten at their other cafes. I liked Classic Black when I first went several years ago. Recently, not as much. Too much ice, the sugar percentages are off, or the tea just isn't there. The toppings on my last visit were solid like rocks. I tried the Strawberry Fields and it was boring. The Horchata was watery. I didn't think the caramel and matcha latte combination went well together. So I'll probably stick to their other locations.
Walking around 2nd and PCH and couldn't resist a Boba stop! Very impromptu but so worth it! The strawberry matcha adds an excellent flavor profile to your typical iced matcha. We added boba to complete the perfect drink!
Hong Kong milk tea was strong, not too sweet (100% sweetness, extra tea) and it really hot the spot. I love that the staff taking our orders was also very friendly and helpful. It was my first time getting boba guys and I'm not sure if the drinks are going to be overly sweet or not. So she recommended getting 100% sweetness, with extra tea. Great recommendation! Plenty of seats and there's even a grassy area, which I guess is meant for kids/dogs.
I've been coming here since it opened. It's conveniently located so you can grab your favorite to sip on while shopping at 2nd and PCH. My usual go to is a matcha latte and I sometimes switch it up to the matcha strawberry. The boba is chewy yet not too soft. The ube latte is sweet with coconut milk. They also have non caffeinated drinks for kids!

Is Boba Guys a ghost kitchen and maybe I'm just not tapped in??? I've been here quite a few times over the years and my feelings are still all over the place tbh. I've never had a drink I didn't enjoy but almost every interaction with a worker that I've had here has always been very awkward or strange, my most recent visit being the strangest to date so that's what this review will be about. I was shopping in the area yesterday and really wanted a nice cold tea so I naturally thought to go to Boba guys. They've added a self service kiosk since I've last visited but the group in front of my was currently using it so I decided to wait in line either for a cashier to come to the register (because all of the workers were in the kitchen) or for the group in front to finish. A minute or two passes and a worker peeks her head out from the back and looks at me so I politely wave to gesture that I was waiting and she like ran behind the wall and didn't come to help. This was strange but a little while after the self service register opened so I just went there but another group gets in line behind me now and the girl comes out and stands at the register which is really close to the self serve thing and is trying to gesture the customers over but they're not responding and idk I didn't look over but I could just feel the awkward energy. I finished placing my order and she was still there so I said thank you and she just ignored me again. I'm a bit of a socially awkward person myself so I'm trying to rack my head around that interaction as I wait and on the kiosk it said it would text me when my order was ready, but after some pondering I look up and a drink is sitting on the table and my name was on the receipt so I just took it even though i didn't receive a text or hear them call. It was delicious and refreshing of course I forget the name but it was from the summer seasonal menu. About an hour passes and I am long gone on the way to LA to see my friends, and I get a text on my phone saying that my order at boba guys is ready for pickup? If this is a ghost kitchen I think the notification system needs some work but I think it was maybe an error. To conclude as someone who is also a cashier, I completely understand that it's hard to engage with every customer and some customers just want to get their product and go, but I think treating everyone with an baseline level of kindness and hospitality is really important when it comes to serving the public. Yes the drinks are good but the vibe is kind of wack. read more
We came here on a hot summer day for something refreshing and we weren't disappointed. Boba drinks were good, the pearls were soft and fresh. The flavors of the drinks were tasty. I got the Pandan drink and a banana milk coffee drink both were delicious not overly sweet. We ordered on the iPad screen so that was pretty convenient. The staff that brought out our drink was friendly and helpful. She told me to give a quick stir to mix up my ingredients. There's a lot of seating to enjoy your drink. read more

I've had their drinks before but it's been awhile since I'm usually not in the area as often. I asked for recommendations and the lady up at the front was friendly and offering her preferences. I ended up choosing the Mango Sticky Rice drink as it was a seasonal item. I enjoyed the purple rice topping included in it. read more
We love coming here for dessert after eating at Noble Bird next door. This place has a nice outdoor seating area with lots of seats, and it is always covered, so you don't have to worry about the sun or the rain. The service is quick and friendly. Every drink I've gotten has been delicious. read more
OoOooo I love banana flavored everything and Boba Guys delivered with their Korean Banana Oatmilk drink! I also added aloe to it and it was quite refreshing. They're located right in the walkway by Noble Rotisserie and Barry's Bootcamp studio and had plenty of seating for those who are looking for a place to sip on their boba drink and do some people watching. read more

This is my favorite boba place! I like this location better than the one in Costa Mesa; it's at 2nd/PCH and is more of a kiosk/stand than a full shop. I live a bit too far to drive there just for a drink, but sometimes I order it through Doordash or I just HAVE to stop by when I'm at the mall for lunch, shopping, or Whole Foods. The seating is casual outdoors but covered. Service is fine and unremarkable; I haven't encountered anything notable in my many times there. My favorite is the jasmine green milk tea, but you can't go wrong with the classic black, strawberry jasmine tea, lychee oolong tea, or any of the milk teas or fruit frescas really. The drinks and boba are simply the best!! read more
They have some seasonal special which may come out. We came just for the mango sticky rice. It had some rice that could be a little more "sticky" and more mango but we were satisfied. Staff was helpful to make suggestions on sweetness levels. read more
Nice friendly staff! I didn't really like the chocolate taste added to the horchata - but I would definitely try a different drink next time! I went here as part of my "30 before 30" challenge to go to 30 animal/cute themed tea shops before I turn 30! and that anteater? What a cutie! read more
I have always loved boba guys since having them up north. I especially love the matcha strawberry but this round I had the dirty banana milk and it was good! It was made with fresh bananas vs the Korean banana milk. I was a bit sad boba wasn't ready at opening time but their boba is usually delicious and perfectly cooked. read more
Decent boba drinks! My sister and I had high hopes for this place because they're a pretty popular chain. For a shop with the word "boba" in its name, we expect the boba to be nearly perfect but it wasn't very soft. To be fair, they had just opened so maybe the boba just wasn't completely ready. Their menu is pretty wide, however, and they have a good range of flavors to pick from. * Lychee Oolong Fruit Fresca: 8/10 - light and refreshing * Passionfruit Fresca: 6/10 - super sour * Mango Jasmine Fresca: 8/10 - subtle mango flavor * Boba: 7/10 - harder than we would've liked The workers were really nice and accommodating when we asked to change our drink. They gave us a different drink that we chose and found it to be better. The shop is located near the outskirts of the shopping center and has a lot of seating. Drinks are good but to go carrier is a mess. I bought 3 drinks for $22 and this is the carrier that's provided. It didn't last to the car before the bottom caved and broke. So pissed off, didn't go back to the store as I was with multiple kids. read more
Cute little boba stand located in the 2nd & PCH shopping plaza that has a pretty diverse selection of drinks to choose from! Servers are friendly and there's lots of seating in the area. It does get pretty packed so it is a good idea to order online but drinks come out at pretty decent times when ordering there too! I used to love this place because of the strawberry matcha with oat milk but in the more recent times I've had it, it just didn't taste as good. I think it's the matcha, it tasted odd. But I decided to give the shop another try and order something different this time! I ordered the White Peach Jasmine Fresca, which is a seasonal option. This was refreshing! I'm not a huge fan of jasmine but the floral flavor was just right. Sweetness was good and the peach flavor was very slight. There were some white chunks at the bottom of the drink which I wasn't sure were. I didn't get any toppings so I'm guessing it's part of the tea or flavoring? But just kinda odd. Pricing was pretty decent for a tea. 4/5 Overall, I had a pretty pleasant experience here after not having it for a long time due to poor previous experiences. I'm down to try some other drinks because a lot of them sound good! read more

I lost my mind with Boba Guys! Tried this cute Boba shop and received the kindest service. Every selection was a popular choice. I purchase the Mango Jasmine with extra Boba. I got the tie guan oolong milk tea & was disappointed! it was pretty watery & didn't have a strong tea flavor. I wish I tried something different. The boba was nicely sweetened but was also hard! It didn't seem fresh. The area surrounding is pretty nice & is in a shaded area! read more
My favorite boba place... I love aardvarks and their drinks are not too sweet! Lol Every drink I've had here is good. There are non dairy options. Really love their strawberry matcha. I love pandan so I tried their pandan drink but it didn't really taste like pandan to me. I have to come here every time I find myself at this mall. read more

Heard good things about this place from friends and social media. I have to say it was pretty good. Tried the matcha latte and matcha strawberry both with boba which was fresh and soft. I only gave 4 stars because I haven't tried enough items to really make that determination but I will definitely be back. Plus I had it delivered so I don't know what the place or service is like. read more

Haiku: Boba Guys Artisanal drinks Such unique flavors and snacks I am Team Boba. --- I recently came out for their limited edition collab with spf-powerhouse brand, Supergoop. They unveiled a weekend flavor featuring a limited-edition glowy boba tea inspired by Supergoop's iconic Glowscreen! It's a delectable blend of passionfruit, strawberry, jasmine Green Tea, and a touch of edible glitter. It surely glistened in the sun, just like its Glowscreen counterpart. Bonus: They gave out a deluxe sample of the SPF Glowscreen! Over the past months, my fave drinks have been (a lot of them seasonal, though): - The Strawberry Matcha Latte (year-round): This is still a classic, tried and true drink to get. You get your earthy, antioxidants (matcha) swirled with some sweet strawberry puree. It's too gorgeous to drink sometimes. - Chai Latte (seasonal): Using Kolkata Chai, this is robust in spices and perfect for die-hard chai fans. Hopefully, they'll bring this seasonal drink back! - Pandan Caramel Matcha Latte (seasonal): Pandan fans, unite! This indulgent drink can be sweet because of the caramel, so make sure you give it a good stir. - Almond Jelly Topping: When I don't feel boba, I get their almond jelly. It's slightly creamy with a hit of that almond taste and it's not too sweet. Service is sweet and efficient. If you have little ones, there's a handful of non-caffeinated drinks. When Boba Guys brought back their mango sticky rice drink, I knew I had to go try it to see how they measured up to the popular dessert. Since I was in town, that's how I found myself at the 2ND & PCH mall on a warm, Sunday afternoon. The 2ND & PCH mall has ample parking, so finding a spot was easy. The challenge turned out to be locating the Boba Guys shop in the mall. It took a little bit of wandering around before I stumbled upon the shop in one of the breezeways. I thought it was neat how the storefront and tables were entirely outdoors in the breezeway. The gentle breeze brought in the fresh ocean air, and I felt like I was about to order boba somewhere tropical and far away from LA. And it's Boba Guys after all, so of course I asked for my mango sticky rice drink with boba. The drink arrived quickly, and I was eager to try it. I guess I also didn't read the menu close enough; I was expecting white sticky rice instead of black sticky rice. But black rice is is what the menu says, and black rice is what I got. So I was in for a bold and sweet treat. In the dessert, the rice and mango are front and center, and the milk is the flourish on top. But the drink flips it upside down where the boba and milk are the main courses and the mango and rice are the accents. Altogether, the drink works very well. Earthy, sweet, nutty, and creamy all at the same time. It stays true to itself as a boba milk drink and yet the source inspiration of the mango sticky rice is very much there. Great drink, great idea, great experience, great location. read more
boba guy never disappoints me! this was my second time at this location and i love how open the shop is. there's plenty of seating with the nice breeze. we got the mango sticky rice and the mango matcha latte, both with boba and oat milk. for the mango sticky rice, it was perfect! the sweetness level (wasn't adjusted) was down my alley as it was not too sweet. the mango flavor was not too overpowering, which i love. as for the mango matcha latte, the matcha was high quality and the sweetness of the mango compliments the matcha! the boba was the perfect amount of chewiness. boba guys makes their drinks from fresh ingredients and you can tell when you drink them. definitely check them out! read more
Tired a couple of drinks. Overall on the bland side. Drinks Lacked flavor. Great location. If I'm hanging out in the area I'll prolly come back because it's the closest boba spot. I was in the area and looking for a refreshing boba drink; the yelp app pointed me here. It's located in the 2nd and PCH complex with the counter in a breezeway. They have a lot of tables next to the counter and, being in that breezeway, it's shaded but reflecting whatever the outdoor temperature may be. I ordered a large coffee milk tea with boba. I'd never heard of such a thing but it sounded good. The affable young woman taking my order asked if I wanted it sweetened and I randomly guessed maybe 50% might be a good amount. In what seemed like a minute my drink was ready. The sweetness was perfect - not too much but enough to take away any bitterness the coffee might have without affecting the coffee flavor. The boba was perfectly squishy and the stupid paper? fiber? straw actually stayed sturdy through my beverage experience. This was my favorite boba drink of all time so five stars is an easy rating. read more

I definitely think so, considering they were more than willing to accommodate other things for the drink. They also ask you very specific details about how you want to customize your drink or if you want to, so I'm sure no ice is a possibility.
