    Skewers! bottom to top: pork/beef/chicken

This place was soooo good! I've been hearing the hype about this place and finally got the chance to check it out. The service was great! It got pretty busy and the food is made-to-order, so don't go in a hurry. The food was amazing! We got pan fried dumplings, Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), bao buns, noodles, rice, and skewers! The only thing for me, was the shrimp skewers and fried rice wasn't as flavorful as everything else. But again, personal preference. We split it 3 ways and ended up about $35/person, but we were stuffed! The inside is a small space....so, it can't seat a whole lot of people. BUT, for being smaller-scaled establishment it didn't seem over-crowded once you're sat. And yes, you can see the dumplings being made-to-order near the restaurant dining area! A new dumpling staple for sure!

Went to celebrate my birthday at Mingxia. Good food. They were out of all the dumplings since they were super busy from the weekend. Will need to come back to try the pan fried dumplings. The baos were excellent. The bread was fluffy and tasty. The noodles were chewy and there were a good amount of shrimp in the dish. The lamb skewers were delish. The restaurant was very tidy and clean. Service was amazing. Susan was efficient and pleasant. Will definitely return to try the other dishes. We had a very good time.

Ever since I discovered them, it's been my mission to try new items. I stopped in today and got my regular chili oil wonton. In addition, I got the chicken soup dumplings are simply amazing! They are a must try! The batter on the dumplings are not too thick. It's just right. It's super juice and the chicken is tender. I love the veggies as well.

Mingxia is a pretty decent spot that serves fairly authentic Chinese dishes. My favorites are the soup dumplings and their variety of meat skewers, the beef and chicken skewers are really good and well seasoned. I wouldn't recommend the squid skewer, it was too chewy and didn't have a good flavor at all. The soup dumplings are decent, the broth inside is very flavorful. We've also tried their signature pork buns, very fluffy and meaty fillings. As for other dishes, I wouldn't recommend the Malatang, it lacked the mala (numbing spice) flavor. I prefer the crossing bridge rice noodle better. Overall, it's a decent spot but nothing extraordinary. They're also always very busy and tend to run out of a lot of menu items. That said, it's still a welcome addition to Memphis especially given the limited options for good Asian food here.

I've gone back several times and everything is still amazing! This is an experience you don't want to miss! Support local eats and give this place a try. You won't regret it. The customer service is top notch. They are very informative and will cater to you. The presentation is just phenomenal. It's all made fresh to order. Dine in or grab it to go.

There aren't many places around Memphis that serve Northeastern Chinese-style food, so my family decided to come try a variety of their dishes. The space is clean and nicely set up, with thoughtful Chinese-style decor. You can tell they put effort into creating a comfortable dining environment. Here's what we tried: !Xiao long bao (soup dumplings): Juicy with flavorful filling. The skin is relatively thin, and there was actually soup inside, which was a nice surprise for this area. ! Malatang (numb & spicy hot pot): Generous portion. The broth has a good balance of spice and that familiar numbing kick. ! Zha Jiang noodle (dry noodle with pork sauce): The hand-pulled noodles have a nice chewy texture. I'd like to explore more of their noodle options next time. ! Grilled skewers (lamb, chicken, sausage): Well-seasoned with a noticeable charcoal aroma. Definitely one of the highlights. ! Dragon fruit lemon tea (half sugar, light ice): Refreshing and helps cut through the richness of the meal. They've only been open about a week, so service is still settling in, but everyone was friendly and attentive. The takeout packaging was also thoughtfully done. Overall, a great experience, and I'm glad to have a spot like this in Memphis. Definitely come back to try more.

Sometimes we have meals that we know will become a core memory, and I had that experience today! Not only was all of the food incredibly delicious, but the staff were so attentive and sweet. First, I had the wontons in chili oil which were great (and not too spicy for me). Then I tried both the lamb and beef skewers, which were seasoned to perfection and totally juicy. I also ordered the pork soup dumplings because I wanted to try them. The manager was kind enough to sit with me and explain how to make my personalized dumpling sauce, as well as how to properly eat a soup dumpling. The kindness of the staff and amazing quality of the food made this an irreplaceable experience for me. I can't wait to bring people here to try it!

Had such a good experience at Main Shot Dumplings. I got the Zha Jiang noodles and they were really good -- my only note is I wish there was a little more sauce compared to the noodle ratio. I also tried the lamb and grilled pork belly skewers, and both were delicious and seasoned perfectly. The pork soup dumplings and pork bao were also really good, and you can tell they're made fresh from scratch. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. The ambiance is casual and laid-back, but I especially loved the hanging lamps/light fixtures.

I remember the fond smell of the street food that filled the air after my many travels to China. I remember the piping hot dumplings that came out after each order and the explosion of flavors that came after each bite. The dumplings that I had at Mingxia Dumpling are the closest to matching those memories. The dumplings were made to order. You can even watch the owner make each dumplings right in front of you which is a nice touch. Service was exceptional. They were busy and they did their best to check on everybody and get tables cleaned for the people that were waiting outside. The servers were also knowledgeable about the menu and even provided their own recommendations. I will be coming back again.

What a great little spot. I stopped by for a special menu tasting and wow oh wow! They are known for the dumplings and I see why. Dumplings are made fresh every hour and you can taste the freshness. I ordered lamb skewers at the spicy level and XLB soup dumplings with watermelon lemon tea. I didn't know the tea has sweetness levels, 25% was my choice. Not sweet but refreshing. Lamb skewers were a good spice flavor not overpowering and pair very well with the lamb. However, I feel the lamb was a tadbit overcooked. The dumplings were so very good. Memorial Day around noon everyone wanted something different so it was crowded but service was great.

I had the pleasure of trying the new restaurant in Cordova, and everything was amazing from start to finish. I started with the pork belly skewers with mild seasoning, and they were cooked perfectly with incredible flavor. I also tried the chicken spring rolls, which were pleasantly large, crispy, and packed with flavor. Next came the chicken pan-fried dumplings, and they did not disappoint at all. To complete my first visit, I had the pork and crab soup dumplings, which were absolutely delicious and tasted very authentic. The food, atmosphere, and overall experience were excellent. I will definitely be coming back again very soon!

The energy in the place is infectious and it is the kind of restaurant you want to come back to again and again. I ordered the Wildfire Burger, and it is honestly one of the best burgers I have had. It is made with black angus beef, 44 Farms Philly Steak, queso, peppers, onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, and Pepper Jack, all served with hand cut fries. Every bite was bold, juicy, and packed with flavor. The hand cut fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned to match. We also shared the Hot Mama 12 inch pizza with a chicken substitute, and it was outstanding. Fresh herbs, tomato sauce, mozzarella, red pepper flakes, basil, and local honey on a perfectly baked crust. The combination of heat and sweetness from the honey made it stand out from any pizza I have had recently. The menu here is creative and extensive, covering everything from shareables and salads to burgers, sandwiches, bowls, and saucer pies. There is truly something for everyone. The service was great and the whole experience felt well put together from start to finish. Would highly recommend. The only issue I've ever experienced was ordering the flight of beer on flight night. I thought it was going to be a similar price to buying a beer maybe a bit more, around $10, since you get four 2-3oz pours to try, but it was $20! I could've ordered three beers for the same price! I was pretty upset with that, but the food has kept us returning. Would highly recommend this place!

Because of that, I pretty much expected Waldo's to follow the same formula: chicken strips, fries, Texas toast, and slaw -- and that's exactly what I got. The chicken strips were flavorful and really good. I also liked that they weren't oversized like some other places. The fries were a little different from the usual crinkle-cut style you get elsewhere. They seemed fresh-cut, very thin, and surprisingly good. The slaw was just okay -- not bad, but nothing especially memorable and a bit too dry for my taste. And of course, the Texas toast was exactly what you'd expect: buttery and solid. Overall, the food was pretty good. I visited on a Friday night, and apparently that's karaoke night, so just know it gets LOUD. People were singing, dancing, and clearly having a great time, which made for a fun atmosphere, but if you're looking for a quiet dine in dinner, Friday night probably isn't the best time to go. The restaurant also has plenty of TVs throughout the dining and bar area, which makes it a great spot to watch a game. You order when you enter and they bring the food to your table. Servers were great. Overall, I enjoyed it and would definitely go back.

We attended church in Memphis which ends at 12:30 and bc we live out of state, we had to find things to do for 3 1/2 hrs. We discovered when we arrived that they had opened up reservations an hour early after we booked. I wish that they had first informed those of us who had first reservations so that we could move ours up. We arrived about 20 minutes early expecting to wait until our 4:00 reservation but they seated us immediately. We ordered wedge and harvest salads for our first course and the oyster deviled eggs appetizer. Both salads were very good. I did think the egg were a little bland and I didn't taste the oyster on one of the 4 deviled eggs. The candied bacon topping is what made the eggs overall good. Otherwise l, without the candied topping it was bland. I ordered the pork chop with sweet potato casserole and Brussels sprouts. My dish was very good and enough for me to take more than half for leftovers. (This doesn't mean change the portion bc it's just right.) My husband ordered the fried chicken dish. It was a giant piece of chicken. Fried very nicely but the coating was not seasoned well, if at all, to me. However, he enjoyed his meal and that's what counts. He said the collard greens were absolutely delicious and the mac and cheese was very cheesy and good! He also took home most of his meal. We don't have big appetites so the portions are probably just right for the majority. I took home the lemon pie dessert. I was expecting more of a meringue taste based on the description but it wasn't, so I wouldn't order it again. We ordered the house wine and 1 of the specialty drinks. The staff were very professional and friendly. The manager (I assume) stopped by every table to check on us. The restaurant has very nice ambiance and the tables have a nice amount of distance between them. It looks well maintained and the bathrooms are clean. The price point isn't bad esp for the generous portions. We've eaten at this restaurant a couple of times before over the years, and I still recommend it.
