    Owner making dumplings

I stopped in to pick up lunch to go, I love dumplings so I was very excited to try them. It was a late lunch and it wasn't too busy. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and the menu is packed with good things to try. I got the crab and pork soup dumplings , chicken spring roll and lamb skewers. As I waited for my food I enjoyed watching the owner make dumplings by hand, it was amazing to see. The restaurant is cozy with an open kitchen. The dumplings were delicious and the lamb skewers were so well balanced not too spicy. They also served a black vinegar that was a great accompaniment. I will definitely be back!

Small dumpling restaurant in Cordova. The employees are sooooo nice and super helpful. The food is all homemade and EXCELLENT! I hadn't ever had this type of food before and My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed it. You should definitely give it a try if you are ever in the area!

The dumplings were amazing. We got pork soup dumplings, beef fried dumplings and pork fried dumplings. Also ordered some fried noodles and general tso. The server was so helpful to make recommendations and when one of our kids dropped their chopsticks management immediately noticed and came over with a new set. It has a small cafe vibe but it sat out party of 8 with no problem. I would absolutely come back and look forward to our next trip through the area.

Went to celebrate my birthday at Mingxia. Good food. They were out of all the dumplings since they were super busy from the weekend. Will need to come back to try the pan fried dumplings. The baos were excellent. The bread was fluffy and tasty. The noodles were chewy and there were a good amount of shrimp in the dish. The lamb skewers were delish. The restaurant was very tidy and clean. Service was amazing. Susan was efficient and pleasant. Will definitely return to try the other dishes. We had a very good time.

    Squid skewer was not good

Mingxia is a pretty decent spot that serves fairly authentic Chinese dishes. My favorites are the soup dumplings and their variety of meat skewers, the beef and chicken skewers are really good and well seasoned. I wouldn't recommend the squid skewer, it was too chewy and didn't have a good flavor at all. The soup dumplings are decent, the broth inside is very flavorful. We've also tried their signature pork buns, very fluffy and meaty fillings. As for other dishes, I wouldn't recommend the Malatang, it lacked the mala (numbing spice) flavor. I prefer the crossing bridge rice noodle better. Overall, it's a decent spot but nothing extraordinary. They're also always very busy and tend to run out of a lot of menu items. That said, it's still a welcome addition to Memphis especially given the limited options for good Asian food here.

Ever since I discovered them, it's been my mission to try new items. I stopped in today and got my regular chili oil wonton. In addition, I got the chicken soup dumplings are simply amazing! They are a must try! The batter on the dumplings are not too thick. It's just right. It's super juice and the chicken is tender. I love the veggies as well.

This place was soooo good! I've been hearing the hype about this place and finally got the chance to check it out. The service was great! It got pretty busy and the food is made-to-order, so don't go in a hurry. The food was amazing! We got pan fried dumplings, Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), bao buns, noodles, rice, and skewers! The only thing for me, was the shrimp skewers and fried rice wasn't as flavorful as everything else. But again, personal preference. We split it 3 ways and ended up about $35/person, but we were stuffed! The inside is a small space....so, it can't seat a whole lot of people. BUT, for being smaller-scaled establishment it didn't seem over-crowded once you're sat. And yes, you can see the dumplings being made-to-order near the restaurant dining area! A new dumpling staple for sure!

There aren't many places around Memphis that serve Northeastern Chinese-style food, so my family decided to come try a variety of their dishes. The space is clean and nicely set up, with thoughtful Chinese-style decor. You can tell they put effort into creating a comfortable dining environment. Here's what we tried: !Xiao long bao (soup dumplings): Juicy with flavorful filling. The skin is relatively thin, and there was actually soup inside, which was a nice surprise for this area. ! Malatang (numb & spicy hot pot): Generous portion. The broth has a good balance of spice and that familiar numbing kick. ! Zha Jiang noodle (dry noodle with pork sauce): The hand-pulled noodles have a nice chewy texture. I'd like to explore more of their noodle options next time. ! Grilled skewers (lamb, chicken, sausage): Well-seasoned with a noticeable charcoal aroma. Definitely one of the highlights. ! Dragon fruit lemon tea (half sugar, light ice): Refreshing and helps cut through the richness of the meal. They've only been open about a week, so service is still settling in, but everyone was friendly and attentive. The takeout packaging was also thoughtfully done. Overall, a great experience, and I'm glad to have a spot like this in Memphis. Definitely come back to try more.

I've gone back several times and everything is still amazing! This is an experience you don't want to miss! Support local eats and give this place a try. You won't regret it. The customer service is top notch. They are very informative and will cater to you. The presentation is just phenomenal. It's all made fresh to order. Dine in or grab it to go.

This spot was so amazing! The service was Great and very helpful with understanding the menu . The food was so delicious, i loved the lamb skewers so much ! When I say delicious, I mean delicious! The ambiance had that family vibe to it . I felt like family when I walk in the door. The pork belly skewers were good. Sometimes we have meals that we know will become a core memory, and I had that experience today! Not only was all of the food incredibly delicious, but the staff were so attentive and sweet. First, I had the wontons in chili oil which were great (and not too spicy for me). Then I tried both the lamb and beef skewers, which were seasoned to perfection and totally juicy. I also ordered the pork soup dumplings because I wanted to try them. The manager was kind enough to sit with me and explain how to make my personalized dumpling sauce, as well as how to properly eat a soup dumpling. The kindness of the staff and amazing quality of the food made this an irreplaceable experience for me. I can't wait to bring people here to try it!

Had such a good experience at Main Shot Dumplings. I got the Zha Jiang noodles and they were really good -- my only note is I wish there was a little more sauce compared to the noodle ratio. I also tried the lamb and grilled pork belly skewers, and both were delicious and seasoned perfectly. The pork soup dumplings and pork bao were also really good, and you can tell they're made fresh from scratch. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. The ambiance is casual and laid-back, but I especially loved the hanging lamps/light fixtures.

I remember the fond smell of the street food that filled the air after my many travels to China. I remember the piping hot dumplings that came out after each order and the explosion of flavors that came after each bite. The dumplings that I had at Mingxia Dumpling are the closest to matching those memories. The dumplings were made to order. You can even watch the owner make each dumplings right in front of you which is a nice touch. Service was exceptional. They were busy and they did their best to check on everybody and get tables cleaned for the people that were waiting outside. The servers were also knowledgeable about the menu and even provided their own recommendations. I will be coming back again.

It is made with black angus beef, 44 Farms Philly Steak, queso, peppers, onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, and Pepper Jack, all served with hand cut fries. Every bite was bold, juicy, and packed with flavor. The hand cut fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned to match. We also shared the Hot Mama 12 inch pizza with a chicken substitute, and it was outstanding. Fresh herbs, tomato sauce, mozzarella, red pepper flakes, basil, and local honey on a perfectly baked crust. The combination of heat and sweetness from the honey made it stand out from any pizza I have had recently. The service was great and the whole experience felt well put together from start to finish. Because of that, I pretty much expected Waldo's to follow the same formula: chicken strips, fries, Texas toast, and slaw -- and that's exactly what I got. The chicken strips were flavorful and really good. I also liked that they weren't oversized like some other places. The fries were a little different from the usual crinkle-cut style you get elsewhere. They seemed fresh-cut, very thin, and surprisingly good. The slaw was just okay -- not bad, but nothing especially memorable and a bit too dry for my taste. And of course, the Texas toast was exactly what you'd expect: buttery and solid. Overall, the food was pretty good. I visited on a Friday night, and apparently that's karaoke night, so just know it gets LOUD. People were singing, dancing, and clearly having a great time, which made for a fun atmosphere, but if you're looking for a quiet dine in dinner, Friday night probably isn't the best time to go. The restaurant also has plenty of TVs throughout the dining and bar area, which makes it a great spot to watch a game. You order when you enter and they bring the food to your table. I've been a patron at TJ Mulligan's Trinity for many years since I could remember. When it came the menu selection I've always been pleased with sandwiches like cheese steak with Au Jus or a corn beef press. Burgers are juicy succulent with a side of fries all have been piping hot with flavor. But what I would recommend their Boom Boom chicken with Boom Boom sauce on a bed of fries. I like a little kick to my food so that's my favorite. Outside of dining I love watching the live bands perform at TJ Mulligan's Trinity. My most favorite form of entertainment though would be the poker. I use to play here when another league use to run it on select nights. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at TJ Mulligan's on Trinity Road in Cordova…read more Before visiting, I downloaded the restaurant's menu directly from their website. The menu clearly listed the Chicken Quesadillas for $8.95 and the Pizza for $13.95. However, when I placed my order, I was told the Chicken Quesadillas were actually $11.95. When I questioned the price difference, the employee admitted they had not updated the online menu and even said they had "been here for years" without changing it. That is unacceptable. If your website advertises one price but you charge another, customers are being misled. At the very least, the restaurant should update its website or honor the advertised price. Having outdated pricing online for years is not good business practice. To make matters worse, an automatic gratuity was added to my order. I don't believe gratuity should automatically be charged without clearly informing customers or giving them the opportunity to decide what they want to tip, especially when there is little or no table service involved. I also ordered a pizza, and it was another disappointment. It looked like a frozen boxed pizza that could have come from a grocery store rather than something made by a restaurant. It certainly was not worth the price. Because of the inaccurate menu pricing, the automatic gratuity, and the poor quality of the food, I left without purchasing the Chicken Quesadillas and have no plans to return. There are too many restaurants that value their customers and provide accurate pricing and better food. I cannot recommend TJ Mulligan's based on my experience. I hope management updates their website, ensures pricing is accurate, and improves the quality of the food and overall customer experience.
