Handmade and fresh! Absolutely delicious and worth the wait. They were out of the shrimp dumplings so I have to go back. Lots of things were crossed off the menu. They have been so busy so be patient. This is definitely a gem for fresh dumplings. Service is so sweet and smooth as well. They're happy to answer any questions and let you know what's available and what's not. Very juicy and plump the outside is soft. Presentation is amazing. I can't wait to go back. The filling is a mix of chicken and veggies. You can order to go or sit down. Great addition to the area.

There aren't many places around Memphis that serve Northeastern Chinese-style food, so my family decided to come try a variety of their dishes. The space is clean and nicely set up, with thoughtful Chinese-style decor. You can tell they put effort into creating a comfortable dining environment. Here's what we tried: !Xiao long bao (soup dumplings): Juicy with flavorful filling. The skin is relatively thin, and there was actually soup inside, which was a nice surprise for this area. ! Malatang (numb & spicy hot pot): Generous portion. The broth has a good balance of spice and that familiar numbing kick. ! Zha Jiang noodle (dry noodle with pork sauce): The hand-pulled noodles have a nice chewy texture. I'd like to explore more of their noodle options next time. ! Grilled skewers (lamb, chicken, sausage): Well-seasoned with a noticeable charcoal aroma. Definitely one of the highlights. ! Dragon fruit lemon tea (half sugar, light ice): Refreshing and helps cut through the richness of the meal. They've only been open about a week, so service is still settling in, but everyone was friendly and attentive. The takeout packaging was also thoughtfully done. Overall, a great experience, and I'm glad to have a spot like this in Memphis. Definitely come back to try more.

I love dumplings and was looking forward to trying Mingxia. I selected the sampler, which allows you to select 3 of the 4 varieties and I chose vegetable, chicken, and pork. The fourth selection was beef. I liked how they were different colors, but I had to guess which was which. They were all prepared well and were tasty. I got my order to go and was surprised by the super cute reusable bag they provided. The cashier was pleasant and I liked how you could view the food preparation area. I look forward to trying out other items.

I've been enjoying the chef's Chinese buns and dumplings for quite some time, and I've also had the chance to try her kebabs at the Memphis Dragon Boat Festivals and Asian Night Markets over the years. Everything I've tried has been amazing, but I could never find her at a permanent location. Today, I'm so excited to share that she has finally opened her own restaurant, Mingxia Dumplings, in Cordova! I visited on the first day of their soft opening, and it made me so happy to enjoy all those delicious buns and kebabs again. Even better, the restaurant now offers a wide variety of Chinese dishes, including Northeastern-style mala tang (spicy hot pot), xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), and fresh hand-pulled noodles. I just got back from a business trip to Shanghai, where I had the chance to try their famous xiaolongbao. Even compared to what I had there, I can honestly say Mingxia's version is among the best I've had.

Everything was amazing, from the tasty meat skewers to soup dumplings, fried dumplings, and more. I recommend trying it all.

As for other dishes, I wouldn't recommend the Malatang, it lacked the mala (numbing spice) flavor.

The energy in the place is infectious and it is the kind of restaurant you want to come back to again and again. I ordered the Wildfire Burger, and it is honestly one of the best burgers I have had. It is made with black angus beef, 44 Farms Philly Steak, queso, peppers, onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, and Pepper Jack, all served with hand cut fries. Every bite was bold, juicy, and packed with flavor. The hand cut fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned to match. We also shared the Hot Mama 12 inch pizza with a chicken substitute, and it was outstanding. Fresh herbs, tomato sauce, mozzarella, red pepper flakes, basil, and local honey on a perfectly baked crust. The combination of heat and sweetness from the honey made it stand out from any pizza I have had recently. The menu here is creative and extensive, covering everything from shareables and salads to burgers, sandwiches, bowls, and saucer pies. There is truly something for everyone. The service was great and the whole experience felt well put together from start to finish. If you are looking for a fun night out with great food and a lively crowd, Flying Saucer is the place to be. Highly recommend!

I remember getting the Xul PB&J cider. This tastes exactly like PB&J. I tasted the Blackberry Mule which tasted good but seemed weak. Sat at the bar and was immediately welcomed with smiles by Maya who gave excellent recommendations from the menu. Because of that, I pretty much expected Waldo's to follow the same formula: chicken strips, fries, Texas toast, and slaw -- and that's exactly what I got. The chicken strips were flavorful and really good. I also liked that they weren't oversized like some other places. The fries were a little different from the usual crinkle-cut style you get elsewhere. They seemed fresh-cut, very thin, and surprisingly good. The slaw was just okay -- not bad, but nothing especially memorable and a bit too dry for my taste. And of course, the Texas toast was exactly what you'd expect: buttery and solid. Overall, the food was pretty good. I visited on a Friday night, and apparently that's karaoke night, so just know it gets LOUD. People were singing, dancing, and clearly having a great time, which made for a fun atmosphere, but if you're looking for a quiet dine in dinner, Friday night probably isn't the best time to go. The restaurant also has plenty of TVs throughout the dining and bar area, which makes it a great spot to watch a game. You order when you enter and they bring the food to your table. Servers were great. Overall, I enjoyed it and would definitely go back.
