I had Pilates sessions with Ineke in Newark and she's top notch. I wish she would open back a studio in Fremont.

The Vibe: The View From Inside After a full day of driving,…read moreI was ready to move. The room felt warm & spacious. A good place to settle into the body and begin to notice. The Guide: Izzy Henley - Hot Flow: Izzy invited us to begin wherever felt most comfortable in our bodies. From there, she invited us to step into the role of observer. Observe the breath. Observe the thoughts. Observe the sensations moving through the body. Just notice. Then we began a steady climb: Sun A. Sun B. Izzy cued the poses in English, guiding us gently and slowly through each side before we moved breath to movement. The pace stayed smooth enough for movement to follow the breath. Then we began moving around our mats. Long holds had us facing every side of the room, until Airplane was literally flying in opposite directions. Izzy offered options along the way: Arm variations in Airplane. Headstand in Wide-Legged Forward Fold. By the time we began down-regulating, my whole body felt as though it were melting into the mat. Then a cold lavender towel was placed in our hands during Savasana. Complete surrender. The Tribe: After class, I asked Izzy how she discovered yoga. Get this: She entered yoga teacher training at 16 years old and began teaching right away. She now has nine years of teaching behind her. Imagine if every school gave young people a place to observe their breath, their thoughts, and the sensations in their bodies. What a different world we might be observing. The Space & Place: From the outside, Align is understated. Inside, it feels grounded and cared for: Cool concrete floors. Warm wood. Green plants. A wall devoted to community. The yoga room is spacious, with dark wood floors. Bonus upon bonus: Free onsite parking. Lockers, with locks available upon request. A friendly, open staff. And, for a limited time, a free coconut beverage after class. Simple. Pure. Sweet. The Shift: After a day spent watching the road, this practice turned the view inward. Izzy gave us room to notice, time to build, and enough steadiness for the breath to take the lead. Field Note: Observation doesn't take us out of the experience. It brings us more fully into it.

I've really loved this studio and have had great experiences in the past which is why I was…read moredisappointed by what happened today. I arrived about 10 minutes before my scheduled class but no one informed me which room the class would be in or what equipment we needed, which is usually communicated. When I walked in I noticed there was no one in the room and started wondering if something had changed because classes are normally full. I heard people asking about weights, so I assumed they were attending a different class. I stepped outside to use the restroom and waited to see if anyone else would come in, but I was still unsure of where my class was being held. When I went outside again, I saw someone rushing out for a block and realized the class was actually happening in a different room. By that point, the class had already started, and I was scrambling to figure out where to go and what equipment I needed. I had to carry everything from the other room into the correct class area while trying not to interrupt. I'm not sure if it was because I was perceived as being "late," but the instructor, Kylie Gifford, told me the class was full, even though there appeared to be one open spot in the front. I had woken up at 6 am, driven 25-30 minutes to get there, and had already taken my pre-workout in preparation for the class. Being offered to take the 8 AM class instead didn't feel like a practical solution after already making that effort and arriving on time. I left feeling upset, embarrassed and disappointed by the experience. I understand things happen, but I hope the studio can improve communication especially with class pass members to ensure they feel welcomed and know exactly where to go and what they need when they arrive. I truly enjoy this studio and hope this feedback helps create a better experience for future guests.

I wanted to like this studio, but was left sorely disappointed…read more The studio is beautiful and spacious, although I found the huge store in the front a bit pretentious, with all the tarot card decks, crystals, etc. that was just too bougie for my taste. I was also disappointed by the instructors. The first instructor got all righteous and told us how "sad" we made her feel after she asked people to move over to make space and we didn't automatically respond, in part because some were confused about which way we should move (it was a very large class of more than 50 people.) She treated us like an annoyed mother telling her children how disappointed she was with them. I did get a good workout, but was a bit perturbed by her ungenerous feeling toward us. Give people the benefit of doubt before reprimanding them! The teacher of the other class was also off putting as she started her class by asking students what yoga meant to them. I don't think it's appropriate to quiz students about why they're in class and then subject others to their answers. Others might disagree, but I just want to practice and then get on with my day, not be tested to see that my relationship with yoga is intact. Needless to say, this studio is not for me!

I've been aware of Indigo for a few years, never got myself there, until February of 2026. While I'm not incredibly spiritual, it's one of those things that made me wonder what finally got me through that door. The diversity of the teachers and offerings is amazing. They have 2 yoga studios and there are options every day. The fact that there are classes and events on Friday evenings, Sunday evenings when I find the desire to unwind and treat myself to some self care, icing on the cake. I'm so happy to have found a new community to practice and grow in.

Ya'll this place will get you in shape in no time. I tried the Lagree class. The instructor was so nice and allowed me to switch over from the Climb x Boot Camp class when I showed up. I was also able to purchase a pair of grippy socks onsite for about $10. The music was good, the lingo will take sometime to learn, but I appreciated the instructor coaching me and helping to position me in the right position, and gave me words of encouragement. There was only 7-8 ppl in the class so I wonder what it's like when it's full. I appreciated the work out bc it challenged me to push myself just a bit more. I had a good sweat and worked my upper body to the point where my arms were going to give out on me, half way through but I kept pushing just a little more. I appreciated that there was no pushy sales person trying to get me to purchase a membership. Now I can give it sometime and a proper think. Everyone was pleasant and professional from the staff to the members in the room. Nicolette was subbing from Danville and she was a great instructor. Provided me with a quick history about how Lagree was established. I definitely hope to come back and try the climber/boot camp class.
