Mimi's used to be a great place to go for really wholesome food. No more. Went there and ordered a salad, it was inedible. I wasn't going to say anything, just not eat it, but my companion did it for me. It looked horrible and how do you screw up a salad? I had eaten there with friends for Thanksgiving a couple years ago, so was hoping for the same. The presentation was to put all food on one plate. The turkey was fine, the mashed potatoes were fine, but I just didn't want. The sweet potatoes with pecans were so loaded with preservatives, you couldn't ignore it. The green bean casserole would have been ok, but it tasted like they mixed it with Sam's Club off-the-shelf casserole, which is awful. The worst was the stuffing. It was a scoop of pasty stuff with loads of preservatives. I couldn't eat any of it, but again, wasn't going to say anything because I didn't want to upset the others. But one of my friends complained that her glass was dirty with someone's finger prints and the underside of her plate was filthy (so was mine). The third diner at my table said she'd eaten there a couple weeks ago and it was also bad. It's obvious that Mimi's trying to save money at the expense of quality. I will not eat there again. They served the worst food I've eaten in a restaurant in many years. read more

I have been going for more than a few years. I generally like the place because it has a nice atmosphere and pretty good food. It was even a place I took my now wife when we were dating. We have enjoyed the hospitality that we received until tonight. It started out good, it wasn't that busy and were seated immediately. The hostess grabbed us glasses of water because our waitress was somewhat busy. Ten maybe fifteen minutes later our waitress shows up to the table and takes our order because we already had our drinks. She lets us know we will get our basket of bread momentarily, that also takes twenty minutes to get. Almost immediately before we got our food, another waitress asks us if we wanted some bread, which we declined because we should be getting our food sometime soon. The next thing you know here is our bread, then after ten more minutes, we get our food. The other waitress also filled up my glass of water two to three times. My wife and I were a little excited about the new menu items, garlic spinach, and Fire-grilled shrimp brochette, and she had grilled Atlantic salmon and pineapple upside down muffins. By the time the other waitress brought me more water, I already knew she was getting our waitress's tip. Meanwhile, the waiter who had the table beside us (the customers got there fifteen minutes after us) took very good care of them with drinks, bread, and food before we even received our bread. When we finally got our food, the garlic spinach didn't even have a hint of garlic, and I make better grilled shrimp at home on my grill. It was as if they took pre-cooked shrimp and skewered it, and stuck it in the microwave without a hint of grilling at all. After about five minutes of waiting for our waitress to show up to check on us, we just asked for our check. I can handle either lack of good handling from the wait staff or the cook staff, not both. The other waitress got a tip, pleading for us to come back for her sake. The chance is slim to none. I hope she is rewarded with a better place to work. In the event that they are still open in six months or a year, maybe. read more

Worst place I have in a long time. Long wait to get the food. Very expensive $68.00 for two on Sunday morning. I will never go back there .Waffle House is a lot better than this want-to-be French restaurant. read more

I stopped coming here because they went down hill but today I gave them another chance and was impressed. I went in for an early Friday lunch. First the new menu is gorgeous. Second the food was delicious, I got a medium-rare burger with mushrooms with the house salad with vinaigrette as a side. I was able to add cup of French Onion soup for a small cost.I got a slice of their mud pie or whatever it is to go. Everything was so delicious, even the Coca Cola was perfect. And third the server Justin was outstanding. This had to be the best meal I've had in Murfreesboro. Actually Nobody's Thanksgiving meal a few years ago was even better. Anyways maybe I lucked out and ordered the right things and got a good waiter or they really made changes. Give them another chance. read more

Luz was an amazing server... funny polite and absolutely perfect. Give that woman a raise!

Decent breakfast. Had the Brioche French Toast breakfast. Very sweet. Service was competent.

I just had a wonderful chicken pot pie. Flavor was really good and vegetables were crispy not soggy. We were told there might be a delay but we were not in a hurry and the meal arrived in about 20 minutes. Gave us plenty of time to visit with our friends and have good conversation. The wait staff was very attentive and always kept our tea glasses full. This was a very good experience. read more

Decent food. Decent service. I honestly would rather go to Waffle House for breakfast.

The service was great and the food was delicious! We went for brunch, and the muffins were the best! Our waiter, Daniel, was so friendly and made our first experience at Mimi's an excellent one. We will definitely be dining here again! read more

Went for breakfast today. The manager greeted us, ware slammed! (Did she not want is there?) their being slammed was having five tables of guests, mostly two tops. We then waited for a good period of time before she returned for a drink order, where we went ahead and told her what we wanted to eat as we had plenty of time to check out the menu. 25 minutes later our food finally arrived......cold. The plates were thrown on the table and the server was gone. I took two bites and slid my plate away congealed cheese is notwhat I want for breakfast. The server too the receipt, charged he card and that was it. No questions about how was the food, why didn't you eat it, I guess getting rid of one of the few tables was the top priority. Needless to say my top priority in the future will be avoiding MiMis. read more

I had the scallop skewers on a Caesar salad and it was really good. My hubby said the chicken was good. He didn't like the house salad because of the lettuce they used. If we come back he said he'd just ask for iceberg lettuce. They were out of quite a few things (shrimp, corn on the cob and spinach). I was a little worried since there was not a crowd yet the people next to us had to wait 40 mins for food but our dishes came out pretty quickly. The only truly negative thing I noticed was the puppy pancake for my daughter was terribly made and she barely ate it. I don't like a restaurant that has lower standards for the quality of the kids food. That being said, I would probably go back again with just my hubby. Also, the server was, Grace, was really nice, attentive and personable. read more

The SLOWEST meal service I have ever had. The food was mediocre at best. The only reason for 2 stars was server was very friendly but who delivered one of our meals to another table. Don't go here. read more

I came here every week and there is no consistency of service or rules.... last week I was able to order the fish without the coke slaw and this week I cannot, not allowed! Last week they ran out of bread and a few of their actual menu items.....This week I had to completely change the item I really wanted because they told me that coleslaw was not an actual side that I could substitute out as I have done all along....so, I ordered the pot roast instead... And always new faces.....no consistency! read more

I had the most awesome experience, ever. Kobe Bryant was absolutely amazing. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and even suggested the cheesecake....which was AMAZING. He smiled the whole time and just acted as if he loved his job, which you just don't see anymore. Please let him know that he was so appreciated and I will now ask for him when we go!!! Great job all around. read more

Kobe Bryant was our server: fantastic.. over and above... spinach dip really great and French Dip melts in your mouth

This place has the best food for the best prices. And bottomless mimosas on sundays are $15! And the manager Leslie is awesome :) best brunch place in Murfreesboro read more

Great place for brunch. Service is amazing. Ask for Nate! I like the eggs Benedict or smoked salmon. Or just keep it simple and order sunny side up with a side of fresh fruit! read more

What an unexpected pleasant surprise when I stumbled upon this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent in all areas. I ordered a medium rare burger which usually comes one of two ways, either practically raw or hard as a hockey puck, this one was done to literal perfection! The drinks were spot on as well from my bartender Haley and the manager there , Leslie, was not only as nice and friendly as could be but made excellent recommendations not only for food but for things to do while in town as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice cozy place to eat where the food is excellent and the service matches. read more

Had a wonderful breakfast today. Had been told by a brother from California how good Mimi's was and this was our first chance to try while visiting Murfreesboro. Great! Tasty Bloody Mary, perfect Eggs Benedict and waffles. Loved the experience and now one of my favorites. Glad we tried it! read more

The food is good but the service stinks. It is not that the servers are not good; they are overworked and spread too thin. We waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order, then when it came not one person, including the manager, checked on us for 40 minutes; then it was to bring the check. Seems a long time to a person they literally didn't bring 3/4 of their meal to them. I got the pancakes I ordered but not the eggs and sausage. They comp'd my meal since I really didn't get it and rightly so; but don't go there for a while. They are training waiters and for all I know they only have one cook back there. Certainly seems like it. The whole interior doesn't seem as clean as it once did either. I was so disappointed. read more

Gave Mimi's another shot. Shouldn't have. Extremely slow service and lackluster food. Inattentive wait staff doesn't make anything better. Go somewhere else, unless you have all day to sit around and watch other people eat mediocre food. read more

Hosting staff and management need lessons on time management and multitasking. According to them, it took more than twenty-five minutes to clean a table (that had already been cleaned). Hosting staff needs to be at front entrance/hosting stand more as during our wait, there were at least four parties that had arrived and were waiting to be placed on the seating list. Serving staff is clearly overwhelmed and appears understaffed. Had high hopes for Mimi's since it was the only place I could find a weekday brunch that served alcohol, but service is miserable. Will not return. read more

We complained about this restaurant to Corporate and was sent vouchers for $50 so gave them a second chance, this turned out to be worse than the last visit, both our breakfasts were cold, my Wife's potatoes were burnt, and my eggs Benedict were also cold, service was slow and the server wanted to know "Where did you get this from, we haven't ever seen these (our vouchers) the manager took them because I had the good sense to print off the email between myself and Corporate, we will never return. read more

The pictures on the menu look great, but sadly the food came slightly warm and just didn't taste great. Extremely disappointing.

Being new to Murfreesboro, this was a first time visit and unfortunately, a last time as well. We had been out shopping and wanted to get dinner and Mimi's looked decent from the outside. This was on Tuesday night so the restaurant was not very busy. We were seated quickly, but, oh my, did it take forever to get each element of our meal. The food was mediocre at best. The Zucchini appetizer was so bizarre - a whole zucchini quartered, heavily battered with some thick, bland batter and deep fried. We each ate one stick, peeling off the disgusting coating. The salmon was overcooked and the crepes were bland and not well executed. To top it all off, the bartender took forever to bring one glass of wine and seemed so pleased to introduce himself and present a very skimpy pour of wine. Absolutely not worth the money - will be scouring reviews before our next dinner out. read more

I've rediscovered Mimi's Cafe. I have been going there for over 5 years, but slowed down because it just wasn't that great. Today I went and it was AWESOME! The chef made an excellent egg white omelette. It was delicious. And the service was impeccable ... whether you get Te Meil or Mel or one of the other excellent servers, you won't be disappointed. read more

This is a great restaurant, especially for breakfast! Great food and service! Evan was our waiter and he was excellent.

We went in for lunch today. We had never been there so we took a while to look over the menu. Our server Hannah was very pleasant and helpful. We both ordered the pick 3 and a cheeseburger for our toddler. We waited over 20 minutes for our food and both of our hot sandwiches were cold. Our soups were luke warm and my husband's green beans were cold and unseasoned. The tables were sticky but I wiped it down with a baby wipe and that helped. The server was great and she did a good job. The food will keep us from coming back. read more

The food was mediocre, portions were small, it took over an hour for the food to arrive, and we asked for a lemon to have with a glass of water 4 times. The lemon was never given nor mentioned. The waitress was clearly hostile until we told her she could keep the change. One of the worst restraunts I've ever visited. read more

The prices of the food wasn't terrible. The food wasn't terrible, however my side dish was cold. All that I could stand, however I can't stand when restaurants like this charge 7 dollars for 2 small glasses of tea. Not even special tea; just run or the mill, ordinary tea, and not even a lot of it, neither had refills. I will never revisit a restaurant that blatantly gouges it's customers like that. read more

My wife and I went for breakfast. Beautiful day out so we sit on the patio. We order our food and wait. And wait, and wait. People come in 10 minutes after us sit down and get their food before we do. Same waitress for both tables. At this point I start to get upset. These people literally are almost done with their food I finally say something to our waitress. She come back out and says ours is next and she put a rush on it. This obviously is BS. So when the food come out my wife's meal is wrong as well as mine is. I would say at this point we will never come back here again. I would not recommend anyone to come here with the horrible service that we just had!!!!!! read more

Now we are done. We started going to Mimi's in Greenville, SC. The bartender on Sunday was so great! We had brunch there almost every week. Then we moved to Texas and the Mimi's near us was awful. They did not even staff a bartender for brunch. We went once, they closed about a month later. Now to Murfreesboro, we went 2 years ago when we moved here it was ok. Not great, we didn't go back until a month or so ago. The bartender is just not that attentive. Today we went, sat at the bar while she adjusted her tips and cashed out a pile of checks. We patiently waited for 5 + minutes. We had a wonderful lunch at Chop House. We won't be back Mimi's Cafe read more

My husband and I visited this restaurant when it had only been open for a month or so and our experience left a lot to be desired. Firstly, when we arrived there was no one at the front to greet us as we entered. Once we were seated it took almost 5 minutes before any server acknowledged our presence in an almost empty dining room. The food was good but was a little cold when it arrived at our table. To top it off though was the serving staff on the setup area joking around with one another and making sounds of someone vomiting. I have no problem with having fun at your job but in the service industry you have to be careful and remember that sound travels especially in an almost empty dinning room. I will not return to this restaurant unless I have no other option. read more

As per many other reviews here, our service was also sub-par. We were seated promptly, and greeted for our drink choices by our waitress. She came back eventually to take our food orders. We ordered an appetizer, which was delivered 5 min. before our meal arrived! We never saw her again until towards the end of our meal, when at that time she inquired about refills and dessert. Really? I think if she hadn't been kissing up to the large table across from us, we might not felt ignored. As for the food, it was a welcome taste compared to the processed taste we unfortunately get so used to at other places. We aren't from the area, so it may be some time before we come back, but if we choose Mimi's again, we'll go in with eyes open to so-so service. read more

When I walked in to this restaurant at the peak of dinner time there was no one there eating. This should have been a sign. While my sister and I were eating a big, black water bug came crawling across our table. We got the manager and she literally got a napkin, grabbed the bug and said " oh these bugs are coining from our pipes" and walked away. Needless to say. We left and will never eat there again. read more

My husband and I went there two weeks ago on a Saturday morning. And from what I was told prior to going, I should've stayed away. The food was okay, I could've cooked better at home.
