Westfield Fashion Square Sherman Oaks, CA The newest addition to the food court. It looks inviting, and the menu pictures are great too. You order at the register then they give you a tag, look for a place to sit and wait for the buzzer go off. My daughter and I decided to try this out for an early dinner. There was no line which is cool. They don't give cups for water. I ordered the Fried Rice Chicken Bowl. It looks so good on the picture menu but when it came - it wasn't near it. There was much less chicken in it. It filled me up though. And the taste is different from the usual fried rice that I tried. There fried rice and the meal is kind of elevated. My daughter ordered the Xia Long Bao and Sautéed String Beans. She liked them and wouldn't mind ordering them again. Food prices are the going rate at the food court. Food court wasn't busy so we were able to sit and enjoy our food.

Spicy Braised Beef Noodle Soup (to go order)

Inside the Westfield Fashion Square mall food court is the newly opened Mimi Garden Express! We ordered the following: A1: Kurobuta Pork Soup Xiao Long Bao C5: Spicy Braised Beef Noodle Soup C6: Honey BBQ Pork Noodles D3: Sautéed string beans with garlic Everything was made fresh and delicious. Dumplings are also handmade! Our kids loved the dumplings (xiao long baos). We loved the spicy braised beef noodle soup and the sautéed string beans with garlic. Even though the beef noodle soup was marked spicy, only the string beans had a slight kick. The beef in the soup was hard to chew too and felt like it was overcooked. To order, the cashier will take your order, you pay and they hand you a buzzer. Once it vibrates and rings, you approach the cashier again and they will hand your order to you. Because we ordered to go, the food was nicely packaged in a reusable bag. We will be back!

New spot in the food court. Was drawn to the sign. Food was so/so. The bao was okay - just all the soup came out as you can tell. The string beans were not good. They seemed not fresh and the seasoning was off. All that plus a bottle of water as about $17

Not impressed with the chicken dumplings

They just opened a couple months ago. Was really hoping the chicken dumplings would be good. Unfortunately I have to say that if they don't make them better I have a feeling they won't last in this mall. Very plain and almost had like a coffee taste. Not sure why? My 12 year old son wouldn't eat them. I ordered the b3 bbq beef with white rice. It was just ok.

Super yum! Especially for mall food. I had gotten the dumplings, the wontons, and a few soups in the past. Definitely suggest the wontons!!

It offered a delicious assortment of dishes that always seemed to satisfy our tastes. My office moved west into Encino, and we traveled less frequently to Bamboo. Then came Covid, and everything made dramatic changes, including Bamboo closing for lunchtime. It has continued to only offer dinner hours, making it difficult to revisit the restaurant. We had a yearning for Chinese food and immediately thought about ordering it from one of our old favorite places for dinner. Coming by to pick up the food, I was immediately transported back in time to one of our many lunches, with familiar dining areas and the delectable smells of what I expected to be a great meal. The couple that run the restaurant were super friendly and engaged in conversation with me about the changes in their restaurant and the neighborhood, as a result of the Covid experience. One thing that I was pleasantly impressed with was the same quality and variety of dishes that used to make for an almost weekly lunch experience many years ago. The chicken lettuce wraps were an all time favorite of my wife, and we were sure to order them. The other dishes were all delicious and have forced me to add Bamboo back on my dinner options when desiring a great Chinese food experience. Well done, Bamboo!

Walked in today at 3:45 pm and was greeted by the host name Melody and she took us to our table. A minute later, Luis, our server came to take our order. We ordered 4 items that could have fed an entire Army. It really was a lot of food. Generous portions and still had left overs to take home. We got small orange chicken, which was more like a large size, ($14.49), Chicken Steamed Dumplings ($7.99), Vegetable egg rolls (4) pieces(8.99), and their House Special Fried Rice that came with: chicken, beef, shrimp, eggs, peas, carrots & green onions.(16.99). Luis & Bryan were very nice, pleasant, kind and very attentive. They checked on us like 4 times. Our food came out fast, tasted fresh, hot and delicious. Let me not forget to tell you that the minute you sit down, they bring Complimentary hot Green tea in a teapot. The restaurant along with the restroom were very clean. 10/10. WRONG THEY HAD IT! Needed to be in Burbank and was famished. Found the destination in my GPS and headed to location for a food experience. Now finding it upstairs was a stroke of luck, just happened to see a guy leaving with a bag of goodies. So note the place is upstairs kind of hidden. Upon entering I was seated immediately and handed a menu to pick my pleasures. Not all my favorites were in the menu ( WAHHHH ) yet I spotted several items. First I ordered the famous Mango Ice Tea for my refreshing beverage. Since I was ready I ordered the half order of Chinese Chicken Salad, Salt & Pepper Prawns plus Szechwan dumplings OMG... Salad came first and damn even a half order is enough for 2 people so please note this fact... Very refreshing and delicious and for a hot day in The Valley that hit the spot. The Salt & Pepper Prawns & Szechwan dumplings arrived for consumption simultaneously.... Photo before chow to document my experience for you Yelpers and now it's eat and eat I did... Your brain will never get an experience like that unless you come in for an order... The Salt & Pepper prawns were the prefect entre for me today. Not overpowering in flavor but a nice crisp robust flavor of seafood and seasonings. Time for a rest and am planning my next sit down at Chin Chin's.....
