Westfield Fashion Square Sherman Oaks, CA The newest addition to the food court. It looks inviting, and the menu pictures are great too. You order at the register then they give you a tag, look for a place to sit and wait for the buzzer go off. My daughter and I decided to try this out for an early dinner. There was no line which is cool. They don't give cups for water. I ordered the Fried Rice Chicken Bowl. It looks so good on the picture menu but when it came - it wasn't near it. There was much less chicken in it. It filled me up though. And the taste is different from the usual fried rice that I tried. There fried rice and the meal is kind of elevated. My daughter ordered the Xia Long Bao and Sautéed String Beans. She liked them and wouldn't mind ordering them again. Food prices are the going rate at the food court. Food court wasn't busy so we were able to sit and enjoy our food.

Spicy Braised Beef Noodle Soup (to go order)

Inside the Westfield Fashion Square mall food court is the newly opened Mimi Garden Express! We ordered the following: A1: Kurobuta Pork Soup Xiao Long Bao C5: Spicy Braised Beef Noodle Soup C6: Honey BBQ Pork Noodles D3: Sautéed string beans with garlic Everything was made fresh and delicious. Dumplings are also handmade! Our kids loved the dumplings (xiao long baos). We loved the spicy braised beef noodle soup and the sautéed string beans with garlic. Even though the beef noodle soup was marked spicy, only the string beans had a slight kick. The beef in the soup was hard to chew too and felt like it was overcooked. To order, the cashier will take your order, you pay and they hand you a buzzer. Once it vibrates and rings, you approach the cashier again and they will hand your order to you. Because we ordered to go, the food was nicely packaged in a reusable bag. We will be back!

New spot in the food court. Was drawn to the sign. Food was so/so. The bao was okay - just all the soup came out as you can tell. The string beans were not good. They seemed not fresh and the seasoning was off. All that plus a bottle of water as about $17

Not impressed with the chicken dumplings

They just opened a couple months ago. Was really hoping the chicken dumplings would be good. Unfortunately I have to say that if they don't make them better I have a feeling they won't last in this mall. Very plain and almost had like a coffee taste. Not sure why? My 12 year old son wouldn't eat them. I ordered the b3 bbq beef with white rice. It was just ok.

Super yum! Especially for mall food. I had gotten the dumplings, the wontons, and a few soups in the past. Definitely suggest the wontons!!

Their…read morePhilly is only available during a limited service window, so be sure to check the menu for the days and times before you go. The sandwich is absolutely out of this world. It's served on a fresh, perfectly crisp roll, loaded with tender meat and plenty of melted cheese. Every bite literally melts in your mouth. If you like a little heat, I highly recommend ordering a side of the chilis--they take it to another level. And don't skip the espresso martini! It's the perfect pairing because, honestly, that sandwich is so satisfying it might just put you to sleep afterward. Beyond the cheesesteak, Bone Yard Bistro is an incredible BBQ spot with a creative cocktail menu and genuinely thoughtful, attentive service. You can tell every dish has been carefully crafted with flavor in mind. The décor is unique and modern with a subtle Southern BBQ vibe that's been elevated to fit Sherman Oaks perfectly. I was there for Tequila Tuesday last week (they have a $10 specialty drink menu!), and the deviled eggs absolutely hit the spot. Whether you're going for the famous Philly, the BBQ, or happy hour, Bone Yard Bistro is definitely worth adding to your list. Trust me--you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

I just had a friend cater from here and I think I ate enough for a small country to be full for a…read moremonth. The food was absolutely amazing. I'll go one by one as I really didn't skimp on any of it..... First off, the brisket was so tender I couldn't even get it on to my plate originally. I had to keep stabbing at it with a fork and it just kept falling into pieces it was magical. The flavor was amazing with the perfect combination of that smokey and fire grilled taste. Didn't even need to use any sauce, but don't sleep on their BBQ sauce it had the perfect flavor of not too acidic and not too sugary. It's hard to stop eating it. I had to follow it up with the brisket quesadillas because.... well because they were staring at me and I had to show them who was boss.... Again, insane flavor combo and pleasantly addicting. Next move I had to throw down on a couple of hot wings to make sure my taste buds were still jumping and ready for the upcoming situation. Just for reference purposes, nice little kick with a bit of smokey flavor. Could've eaten 20 in one sitting but was continuing on my path of BBQ destruction. We now veered over to the baby back ribs .... I think I ate 10 before I realized what was going on. Yet again, the flavor was perfect and the meat was cooked to perfection. It didn't need any sauce, but I was a big fan of loading up on the BBQ sauce for these bad boys..... Next I shifted my fat eyed focus over to the tri-tip. It had that perfect pink center looking like a medium rare meaty super model. I went a different route here and dipped it into this horseradish sauce concoction that I never seen or heard of in my life. I don't know what was in that sauce, but it was phenomenal. I could have literally eaten this stuff by itself, but everyone was looking so I didn't want to make it weird. The tri-tip itself didn't even need any sauce and was super juicy, but that sauce just elevated the taste to another level. Now we decided to go a different location on the farm pay tribute to some smoked chicken. I had to dabble with both the BBQ sauce and the horseradish sauce as my dipping/smothering choices for this tasty bird. Couldn't even tell you how great it was without the sauce, since my mind was already fading trying to fight off my meat sweat coma. Lastly for our protein portion of the evening, I had to top it off with some of that pulled pork. Now this was extremely flavorful and some of the best I've had in quite some time. I did however enjoy lathering it up with that BBQ sauce like some of his fellow plate mates I already devoured. I will give a shout out to the sides, even though I only had a brief taste of each as I was going hard on the proteins. High fives to the potato salad, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, street corn, corn bread, tator tots and collard greens. I may have possibly missed one or 2, but after gorging on disgusting amounts of food, you tend to forget things. Had to make sure to sneak some of those greens in there so my heart didn't give out.... I however did not indulge in the chips and salsa that were there since I didn't want to come off as a pig..... So instead (as I forgot to mention previously), I took the queso and poured it over some pulled pork because that's what needed to happen at that moment.... Boom! For the grand finale, we had this banana pudding dessert that literally put me over the top. If I could openly cuss on this platform, I genuinely would.... It was absolutely orgasmic. That's right, you read that correctly. I don't know what they put in that thing, but to call it amazing would be an understatement. Pretty sure I blacked out at some point while finishing my bowl of dessert. As you can read, I was not a fan of any of the food in any way shape or form.(Sarcasm ...) I look forward to going back, but I will need to wait until I awake from this painful food coma I've been fighting off since the ending of the World Cup match watching USA beat the breaks off of Bosnia with one man down. Much love on the food and I happily dedicate this extra fat fold on my stomach and the 8lb weight gain to AJ's BBQ.

I got a brisket and half rack of ribs, with corn bread, greens, and beans. My friend got the elote cup and that was equally as amazing! Everything was excellent! (At a rib joint, the nerve) but it wasn't my plate so oh well. First note this is a pick up spot only there is an ordering counter that no more than 4 people can be in at a time. The street is super dark and desolate looking it feels like an industrial area think City of Industry. There's no parking well there's one spot to park for pick up. The street parking is filled with what looked like broken down type cars the four I seen had chalk writing like tow yards do. To the food!!! Ordered 2 two meat meals that come with 2 sides. Not a piece of bread or muffin was included. Please notice the dry @$$ pulled pork? and I got 4 pieces of a rib tip that was the same as 1 maybe 2 real tips ANYWHERE else.the tips were chopped into 2-4 pieces from one full tip. So I really feel cheated and I was frigging hungry -hungry. The pork was dry and couldn't be swallowed without the bbq sauce and drink. She ordered a hot link with ribs and added a side of ribs for an additional $24. The sides came in a small container I had Mac n cheese and greens which every bite I was like wish I had cornbread to add to these greens. While she had greens and the sweet potato (which by the way was the best thing they had going on) the Mac was average I'm about to reheat and toast again before I hit send for this review. Reheated the side of ribs, greens and Mac and it's a bit better than the pulled pork, but this definitely isn't a bbq spot I'd advise anyone to go to nor would I dare try without bbq sauce and a lot of it. Dessert banana pudding last time I was here the desserts were pretty good. This tasted like the yoplait whips yogurts consistency and like knock of Nila wafers I was just sooo utterly disappointed.
