For food from a mall court, you would usually expect some things: high cost, alright tastes, and okay customer service. Thankfully, Suki Hana Japan is the opposite of all those mentioned! We ordered a teriyaki box with noodles and rice as the sides and was super impressed with the flavor and quality of the food! The meat was cooked well, and tender. The sauces and heat of the grill left the meat and veggies super yummy. The price was very affordable and we were able to save the box for leftovers for later! The staff was friendly and when we asked for a plastic bag, they even included sauce packets and clean utensils to use. If we are ever hungry and in this mall again, we know this spot will exceed our satisfaction!

Teriyaki chicken

The good: I ordered a teriyaki chicken dish for under $12. I liked the ease of the self-order tablet. My order was ready in a timely manner. The chicken was moist and the sauce wasn't overly salty or sweet. My two kids both enjoyed the food. The price was fair and the portion was enough for me to eat for two meals. It came with stir fried cabbage, carrots, zucchini and broccoli which I really enjoyed. They were cooked nicely and had a lot of grill flavor. They're located in the food court on the second floor of the mall. There's plenty of seating there. The bad: I would've liked more vegetables. The interesting: It seems the they have several other SoCal locations.

Chicken and beef plate, side of 3 egg rolls!

Wonderful service and such friendly employees! I was offered a sample of the chicken by one of the staff, and wow--it was delicious! I couldn't resist ordering a plate to share. We went with the chicken and beef over rice with vegetables, plus three chicken egg rolls. The portions were generous (I couldn't help but dig in before snapping a picture), and I'm so glad we decided to share. Definitely worth it!

This time I got Chicken and Shrimp Teriyaki plate and of course ALWAYS consistent. These folks have a line at the end of their closing time...that's how you know it's legit.

I dont know why this has such low reviews! The lady out front gave out free samples and the Chicken Teriyaki was so good it convinced us! Very hot food, good bargain, big portions, and the cashiers and cooks were all very nice. It came out quickly and is some of the best mall food in the food court

Great find here, nice little sushi restaurant right off Sepulveda, just North of Ventura…read more The sushi here is tasty, tasted fresh, lots of variety. Sushi, Bentos, appetizers, etc. The place is not large inside, but you can sit at one of their tables or at the sushi bar as well. They are open from 12-2:30 for the lunch crowd and then again later for dinner. We got a ton of things, my receipt was too long, had to fold it over for the picture. Started with some spicy edamame's and shishito peppers, cooked perfectly. Miso soup, salmon, spicy tuna, spicy scallop, white fish, veggie tempura, a BSC roll, unagi, baked crab and California rolls. Enjoyed everything very much except for the baked crab roll, it was ok, but not my favorite and I would not order again. Everything else I would get again. There are a few spaces in front on Sepulveda, but you should park in the back in the large parking lot that they have. The lot is not free, just an FYI. Staff was really nice and took care of us well. Their prices are not bad for sushi, more reasonable than others, but the sushi is still high grade and very good. Keep the prices reasonable, provide great service and provide high quality tasty food is a recipe to keep your customers coming back. We wandered down Woodman Ave. And Randomly walked into Kaiju. We were warmly greeted, quickly seated at a booth and the interior was cozy with wonderful lights everywhere, and packed to the gills with folks. We sat at the only booth open and ordered our two ramen bowls. The service is quick and efficient. My vege ramen was super yummy: creamy, with thick noodles, mushrooms+bok choy. I asked for spicy and they added a yummy chilli oil. My husbands was seafood ramen, but somehow the noodles were missing. He later found out our waitress mistakenly gave him the miso, seafood soup bowl. Later we were some of the last folks to depart closing out @10pm. We appreciate the later evening hours, the cozy ambience with cool tie-dyed ocean, blue curtains, lanterns strung about, and efficient service. Will wander back and try other vege rolls and the tempura ice cream, at a later time. :) Thanks guys.

My husband got the ramen and gyoza and liked it as well. Overall it's an easy, casual spot for dinner and we'll definitely be back.

It was refreshing to not be disappointed by our ramen, so my mom and I went back less than a week later. Any issues we experienced our first visit were either repeated or amplified during our second visit. Both times I noticed that the ramen isn't served hot. At best, it's served warm, so despite being a quick eater, the last bites of my bowls were "enjoyed" cold. Also, the restaurant is very busy with to go orders, so the overwhelmed staff has to juggle dine in as well as delivery drivers and their priority is the to go orders. They have a sign up/wait list, but they don't follow it. Customers who stand at the door, in the staff's view, will be seated before others who signed up before, but are off to the side. Lastly, is the issue of cleanliness. Our first visit the restaurant didn't feel very clean, but by the second, I was sure they weren't cleaning throughly. We ordered fresh garlic and the garlic masher they gave still had old garlic inside. On top of that, they don't wipe tables between customers because they're so busy. Strictly rating the food, Kai Ramen deserves a solid 4 stars, but as a whole, I think 3 stars is generous. Unfortunately, another visit wouldn't change anything because the problem is caused by management understaffing and overworking employees.

A nice guy, skilled with his knife, and completely accommodating in every way. If you're wanting a high-priced, high-concept sushi spot serving upside down crab smoked with logs imported from some underground cavern near Mt. Fuji, this ain't your place. What this IS, is an unpretentious, traditional sushi bar serving the greatest hits you grew up with in generous portions at surprisingly reasonable prices. There are only 3 choices on the Sake menu, but they're selling Kikusui for $5 less than most other places, so you're ahead of the game before you even mix your wasabi into your soy. Garlic Edamame was served piping hot and dressed in a rich coating of garlic and soy. Very tasty and very properly cooked, unlike so many other places, where the edamame is over-steamed into a mushy, unmemorable mess. Instead, these beans had snap and a good bit of their own flavor standing up to the sauce. A very nice surprise from such a ubiquitous starter. Shiso's version of Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna was also very generous: 6 pieces of nicely spiced tuna with avocado and jalapeño, the rice cakes themselves being enjoyably crunchy on the outside, meltingly soft underneath. Saba (Japanese Mackerel) was lightly smoked, with a mild flavor; Ikura was pleasingly briny, while the Octopus was tender and rich. A Salmon Skin hand roll was the perfect finale: crispy and deeply flavored, and again, quite generously portioned. If you haven't been yet, you need to make a plan to go ASAP. The food will satisfy, the staff will charm, and you'll leave with all the very best feels.
