They took apart the entire device, screen and all, only for them to realize it was unfixable due to the way the motherboard was built. My laptop was at least usable before, now it has no screen and is basically split into two pieces. What's even worse is that I went to discuss what happened and the store manager had the audacity to ask "Do you want to call him to see what he wants to do?" Umm.....bold assumption to think that I was not the one using the device. I then corrected him that I was the owner of the device, not any male related to me. He remarked that I'm one of just a few pc gamers that are female. Even if that may be true, it was wildly unprofessional and off putting. I'll never forget that icky feeling I had when I left the store. He didn't bother to refund me the service cost even though all he did was take it apart and destroy what I had left of it. I tried everything to reconfigure system and it didn't work. So, the technical store supervisor reconfigured email and was on my way in less than an hour.
