We had Milton's Hawaiian pizza and the miltons special as well as an order of the antipasto and garlic knots. The pizza itself was really good, the crust however was a little tough to chew. We loved the garlic knots but wish they had just a bit more garlic on them. The antipasto was very good, but would like to see a standalone antipasto as opposed to antipasto salad. I saw the cook chopping the onions and peppers for my veggie slice and so that was cool to see that they cut fresh, but I was underwhelmed by the cheese. Seems that this is where they cut corners and if you love pizza like I know pizza... next to freshness is the CHEESE! The cheese was "choppy" vs stringy and reminded me of something from elementary school. I wouldn't eat there again. Ordered food for delivery. Asked for garlic knots and got a piece of bread instead. I also ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap and the sauce was runny and gross. The lettuce was soggy and wilted. I also got two cannolis that were hot instead of cold. I had to place in fridge to get them to the right temp. I'm very disappointed that my total was 40 for the low quality food I got. Stopped off 64 to grab lunch, we were going to grab some fast food but decided to try some subs from Milton's. So glad we did. Greeted at the door with a friendly smile, our order was taken quickly and we waited out on the patio til it was ready. I got the Italian sub w fries and my girlfriend got the philly. Both were fantastic. Let me just start by saying-I ordered delivery. With that being said, you always expect the food to be a little cold, soggy, and just not as good as eating in the restaurant. I ordered my food at 6:09PM, the man on the phone said it will be 45min to an hour, I thought that was longer than usual, but I thought to myself "it's Saturday night, they're probably busy"...well, 7:20 rolls around and I call and ask about my order, they tell me the delivery guy is on his way. I said okay, thanks. 7:40 rolls around, I call again and ask if everything is okay? I only live 5 minutes away and he was on his way 20 minutes ago.. they told me he had other deliveries he was doing at the same time and that he would be there shortly. I ended up getting my food at 7:45. An hour and 40 minutes after I ordered, which isn't a huge deal but it was just annoying considering I paid $40 for food for two, and then when it got to my house it was so soggy I had to try and crisp it up in my toaster oven before I could eat it(which honestly didn't help-it was still super soggy, just really hot). Giving three stars because I'm sure it would've been a lot better in person, my experience with delivery however, was not great. Walk in for pizza stay for the conversation! I visited Milton's on my way to VA Beach, I travel back and forth frequently and decided to stop for some pizza. I didn't have high expectations but I was sold the moment I walked into the restaurant. I ordered a medium cheese pizza and before I got finish my order Milton started getting to work rolling and tossing the dough, adding the toppings and getting my pizza into the oven. As he prepared my meal he started telling me about his family and how he build the business with hard work and how he really loves what he does. He told me about his background, adversity that he's overcome and by the time the pizza was ready I felt like I knew Milton. It took me back to the grassroots of small businesses and what it really means to our community! The pizza was phenomenal! It was the closest new York style pizza I've had in Virginia. You can taste the fresh herbs and the crunchy crust. This is now a must stop on my way to VA Beach during the weekends. I highly recommend giving Milton's a try! read more

We found this place accident but it was a nice surprise. Basically take out but with a couple of indoor tables and some umbrella covered outdoor seating - really nice on a sunny day. The veggie pizza was good with relatively thin crust and nice selection of vegetables and the side salad was really tasty with a nice vinaigrette. The service was great, like other reviewers had mentioned. I don't know why more people heading to the post office around the corner weren't stopping in, I would stop at Milton's again. read more
