Came here to try out their new sausage "Bo-berry" biscuit. We placed our order with a pleasant young lady and our wait was very short. The ambiance was one of the"retiree breakfast club" as there were older people having coffee and conversing at the tables. We got our food to go. As soon as I pulled out that sandwich in the car, I knew I had a winner. The biscuit was baked to golden brown perfection with blueberries scattered throughout. In between that sliced biscuit was a sausage patty that was covered in white icing, the kind you get on a cinnamon roll. The biscuit to sausage ratio was perfect as the biscuit did not overwhelm the sausage. When I bit into it, it was the manifestation of what I had hoped for met with just as I had hoped for! The biscuit was flaky and not very sweet (which I really liked) dotted with those blueberries. The sausage patty was fresh and complimented the sweetness of the biscuit and that white icing. I loved the savory/sweet combo. All in all a great breakfast sandwich that I would definitely come back again for. read more

On our trips between Northern Virginia and different beach towns, we have found this Bojangles to be a nice place to stop. This location is always clean and has welcoming staff. The chicken is crispy, hot and good. The ham biscuits are also great. read more

Very good experience at this location! I really enjoy Bojangles in general but the food was extremely fresh at this location. The line was wrapped around the building for the drive-through but the wait wasn't too terrible at all. My husband ordered a three-piece dark with a biscuit and I had a country ham egg and cheese biscuit. Service is not consistent. While I know that they struggle with help, there is no way excuse for what they do sometimes. We usually get the family variety feast about once a week. We stopped going a couple weeks ago, after we got our order home and they provided us with a breast, a thigh, and the rest wings. That is just pure laziness. Ordered my food through the Bojangles app from this store for the first time today and will 100% never return. The owner of this franchise needs to clean house by either firing everyone or shutting down for a week to train basic customer service and food management. 1st the app said hey come get ur food. My friend gets there to pick it up and is told repeatedly they do not have the order. So finally after it was said to be ready for 20 minutes I had her take the phone to the clerk and was very blunt but polite about the food. And wouldn't you know it, magically the order had just appeared . Ok I'll cut slack there maybe. But then these employees took another 30 minutes to fix some tenders and Mac n cheese. All while being watched as they kept moving my ticket under other orders. The management finally looked at the time on my ticket and acted but only after the threat of corporate, which shouldn't even have to happen. So ONE HOUR later, my kid has tenders. It was the end of their day at Bojangel shift. They were polite and friendly. What I didn't appreciate was they had a full cooked area of food. But we received dried out chicken and fries. They gave us something wouldn't feed your animal. I didn't say anything, we left and just didn't go back. I would recommend the managers to train their staff in these situations, unless the staff was planning to take home the food then they should give customers, greasier food. read more

Where oh where do I begin with this crap hole! I just came from there so I am still quite pissed! I just paid 35 bucks for a smashed mess! I ordered a 12 piece tailgate. I waited in line for over a half hour because the morons who work there decided to stop making chicken at 6 pm so they could leave at the closing time of 7 pm! So in which case a dozen cars had to sit and wait! I finally get home and opened the box my husband asks what the hell is this?! I look and they've thrown 3 smashed biscuits in with the chicken because why... they were in a hurry! Not only was I shorted 4 pieces of chicken i was also shorted 3 biscuits AND the chicken was way undercooked, yes I had to put in my oven to even make it edible for my family! Also I asked for sweet tea and got regular tea! Surprise surprise! So the superstars who work at this location not only can't put items into a box correctly they obviously can't even count! Dedicated parking lot is easy to access. Very clean everywhere I look: Parking lot, order counter, dining room. I did not use/see the ladies' room. Food came up quickly: 2 Country Ham Biscuits, Individual Fries, Bottled Water. Dining room noise level is low; wifi access is free, no password required, and easy to connect. Biscuits & Fries were very fresh. The slab of ham in each biscuit seemed larger than those I've had at/from other Boj stores. I'll be back. Fer sure. read more

Stopped here for breakfast on the way to the beach since there aren't many in the DC area. Ordered the bacon, egg, cheese biscuit which was decent (cheese could have been melted though) and the potato tots which I really liked (wish it came with more than just 4). Sweet tea is really good, not soda sweet either. Would definitely return again to try other items. read more

So excited to see this southern chain sneaking North. We usually stop on our drive between PA and SC or Florida and on this particular trip we were in VA for a weekend getaway and it was the perfect stop for our lunch on the way home. This looks like a newer location. The building was clean and sharp. The staff was friendly and very efficient. I order the 2 piece dark meat with a biscuit and a side. I chose the dirty rice this time and it was sooo good. Its pretty much rice with sausage and seasonings and its delish!! The fried chicken was juicy and crispy and I love the hidden spice. I also always get a sweet potato pie. SO YUM. They're kind of like McDonald's pies but they're real good crust and filling. A good fast food treat on a road trip. read more

Nice place to stop at on the way home from the beach! A little grease and spice to keep you awake. Place is pretty clean and the folks behind the counter were nice. Chicken is always good- beans were a little old and the Mac-n-cheese was very old. We come for the chicken so I didn't take much off for old sides. Bojangles seems to walk a fine line between awesome and WTF... I went to this Bojangles a few times in the first few months that it opened. I stopped going because the chicken looked so disgustingly unappealing (brownish/old). The biscuits had the texture of rock. I don't play hockey, but I'd imagine that you could've played a full NHL series with them biscuits. The food was definitely 1 star. I stopped by yesterday to give them another chance and also because there's not much in New Kent when you get a hankerin. I was pleasantly surprised to see a golden hue on the chicken. The biscuits actually had some fluff to them when you broke them open (!?!?!!!). Not sure what happened with the mashed potatoes, though, they almost had the same consistency of the gravy. Anyway, it seems like they are dialing it in on the quality of the food (3.5 stars). Hopefully, it will continue trending upwards. If you're used to a good Bojangles, and you know when you've been to one, then the food at this one might be disappointing, but the fluff inside that biscuit last night was almost a thing of beauty... My first time going to Bojangles a few years ago. It was a good experience but I noticed that there were never the same people working. Managers talk bad and disrespect the crew members vise versa. I had went back a while ago hoping that the place would have been changed but it had gotten worse. Roaches on the walls and floors in the bathroom and on the front line wall. Food was old and they were still giving it out to people. When someone would ask for fresh food the cashier would become very disrespectful. read more

My family purchased a tailgate meal here. While preparing our meal at home, a bug was noticed in our rice. We promptly returned the unused portion to the store which was all but 2 pieces of chicken. We were advised that a refund was not permissible but we could have more rice (from the same bin as our original portion that contained that roach). I love love love the biscuits here. Amazing. The cheddar bow biscuits are like grandmas. Love!!! Also the sweet tea is like your grandmas. I stop here every morning and get my sausage and egg biscuit and tea. I don't like the hash rounds and that is why I am not giving 5 stars. This review is mostly for the service. The drive thru was sooo long, I went inside which was empty and Quatik took my order right away with the most friendliest personality and service. It was probably the best attitude and not over the top either but just a genuine good guy that I had to write a review for him. I've never been to a bojangles before but heard how tasty the biscuits and chicken were so I had to take a pit stop on a road trip. The biscuits actually are pretty darn good and I don't even like biscuits. Fries were ok, and the chicken was different. More like southern fried and really really greasy . It was still very crunchy and not soggy which is a plus. And it didn't have a funny smell which I get from some fried chicken places. Our second visit and they still can't get the order right. They forgot the fries's for my son's meal, leaving him with just a tiny chicken leg and a drink for dinner. My husband requested two thighs for his meal, and they gave him a thigh and a leg. The first time we came here, they screwed up our order then too. The food is okay, but we've had better.
