Not this location only, but I'm considering giving up on fast food altogether. 2 sandwiches and one order of fries, almost twenty bucks! As soon as I unwrapped the sandwiches I realized the buns and sandwiches are smaller than they used to be. The toppings on the burger were so scant I thought maybe they had been left off. Lifted top to see how sad. Won't be going to this Wendy's again, but guessing all locations are headed in the same direction. These days you're better off finding a hole in the wall Mexican restaurant and getting it to go, more food for less money. The drive thru here was very slow too. 8/22/20: This has got to be the slowest Wendy's we have ever been to. The drive thru line was wrapped around the building. We were waiting for 30 mins before getting to the speaker to order & the cashier had us wait again. Once she took our order & we drove to the 2nd window, there were no other cars in front of us. It's like they were taking one car's order at a time. No wonder the line was so long. Anyway, the service was horrible. Our order came to $11.xx & she was given a $20. Can you PLEASE tell me why she gave back over $31.xx back in change?? I was embarrassed for her. My friend asked her why she gave back so much change. She had an attitude and snatched the $20 bill he was holding up out of his hand. Still, he had too much change. Because of her attitude, he didn't say anything else to her. He just took the food & the extra change she gave for his trouble. This review deserves a 1 star, but his food was decent, so I'm giving them 3 stars. They need to train their staff better & I'm sure their registers come up short all the time after what I saw today. Received the wrong order through the drive through. No big deal, go back in through the lobby to have it corrected. Immediately assaulted with verbal abuse from the team, slamming things around, lots of shouting and swearing, the manager was struggling to keep things under control. We drove through on the 4th of July for a kids meal. The restaurant looks either brand new or remodeled, and after a moment of lingering at the drove up screen, wondering if they were open, the cashier waved at us and helped us swiftly. I have to say as a teacher and parent I was surprisingly impressed by the quality of the meal and the packaging and most especially the prize. It was a classic cheeseburger with fries- a good mix of fries with a bit of skin on the tips which I like. We got Honest Kids juice, a crowd pleaser that's naturally sweetened and only 30 calories. The prize is hands down my fave I've ever seen for a kids meal- check out my pic of the creative, non-branded, adaptable pterodactyl that she got to build. Way to go Wendy's! read more

I've been here three times in the past 6 months and it definitely has the WORST customer service of any fast food place I've ever been to. I was greeted with, "Hang on........ What's your order" at the intercom. Are you serious? Absolutely appalling service. When I pulled up to get my order the giant moron that was working jams his fat arm out the window with my bag and closed the window immediately after I took it from him. So, lets get this straight. Wendys does not care about their costumers. They have served not only me but some of my friends with raw food as shown in the picture. They have very slow costumer service. I highly recommend shutting Wendys down for better health. I continuously see people in Wendys for a quick meal but end up getting sick or even wait there for an hour just to get a cold meal. It's sickening to see this place so ran down. This is probably the worst Wendy's I've been to. I accidentally ordered just the meal but then changed my order to a combo. The man taking my order complained saying, "Oh, so now you want combos? Guess I have to do it all over again." After he changed it he complained and sassed me again. I would have shrugged it off, but I remember the same guy being disrespectful to me last time I ordered at that Wendy's. As for the food, my soda was flat; the bacon was chewy; everything was either cold or room temperature; and the fry containers weren't even all the way full. Terrible service. Terrible food. It's difficult to give good service when the manager isn't allowed to order enough food to last each week which is the reason they run out of everything. It's hard to give good service when there are only 2-3 people scheduled to run the entire restaurant. I know employees who work from 5:30 AM till 11PM just to make sure a shift is covered. Employees don't get the recognition they deserve and are busting their butts to give you the best service they can under less than ideal conditions without promised raises for doing the extra work. Cut them a break. They are working hard to provide for their families too bad management doesn't care. read more

This is consistently the worst Wendy's location we've frequented. The tile floors are usually very slippery, the service is slow, and the chicken sandwiches always have a weird texture-I'm not sure if they're undercooked, but it's weird. Every time we think about ordering here, since there aren't many restaurants in this part of New Key, we're reminded of our last awful experience. I'm always hopeful they'll get their act together and perform in line with the Wendy's brand standard but I'm always disappointed. read more

Food has been pretty good. You have to get pickle fries. The chicken sandwich, burgers, shrimp and grits were all enjoyable. Steak sandwich could have had more steak. Service is hit or miss really depending on the time of day and how busy but the restaurant is modern and ambiance is nice. read more

Well...if there was a way to give this 0 stars a would. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life. Between the staff yelling at each other and at us, I couldn't wait to get out of here. Unfortunately, the food took forever to get and we had to wait for ages while the staff seemed more interested in arguing with each other over who's fault it was the order wasn't out. Most of the items on their menu were out, but they didn't bother telling us until we'd ordered already. When the manager called me up to tell me, she yelled at me (while pulling her mask down with her gloves) to ask what I wanted instead. I have never seen a place so disorganized and unprofessional. At one point, the manager literally walked up to the counter with a nugget between tongs to ask a customer if the chicken looked too done to him. As far as hygiene, it was dirty, they weren't changing gloves after handling the register, and masks seemed down more often than up. This is absolutely the worst Wendys I've EVER been to. Stay. Ate lunch here in our way to Williamsburg. Ordered a salad with chicken. The chicken was hot and fresh, and the other toppings were as expected, but much of the lettuce was rotten, so 2/3 of the greens went into the trash. I order this salad at many other locations, and it's consistently good, but this restaurant needs better management of its food products. read more

I think this Wendy's location has only been open 1-2 yrs. It's only a half-mile off I-64, which I assume is where they get a lot of their business. My sister lives just down the road so I've driven by it numerous times but never stopped in to eat until this weekend. It was 4 pm on a Saturday. The restaurant was less than half full and there was no one in line when we walked up to order. The staff is VERY friendly ... but also fairly incompetent. Especially the management on this day. I was with a group of four adults and two small children. We all ordered together (one ticket). Nothing complicated... burgers and combo meals. The manager/supervisor on duty, a friendly tall black gentleman, was busy talking with the other team members while putting food on our tray. Topics seemed to be work schedules and miscellaneous joking around. At one point I noticed two identically wrapped chicken sandwiches on the tray so I asked him which was the spicy sandwich and which was the broiled deluxe. He didn't know so he took them back and asked the cook who unwrapped them, then re-wrapped them the same way again (?!). The supervisor told me the one closest to me was the spicy sandwich. I wondered why in the heck they didn't mark one or wrap it differently. He then indicated my order was finished. I looked at the tray and asked, "what about our fries?" He said, "Oh yeah.", and brought out a large order of fries for my combo and smaller fries for the kids meals. At that time he noticed he had placed burgers into the kids meals instead of chicken nuggets, so he swapped those out. I asked if that was everything and he said yes. One member of our group then grabbed the tray and brought it to our table. We didn't know which chicken sandwich was whose since the tray orientation was changed from the counter placement, so we had to unwrap them (again) to find out. The kids then noticed they didn't have their frosties, so I went back to the supervisor working the counter. He said, "Oh yeah... what were they... chocolate or vanilla?" I told him, one of each. He brought them to our table a minute later. Mind you, there were only a handful of other customers in the restaurant, and about 10 staff working, including 2-3 mgmt personnel and/or possibly the franchise owner. (We were greeted by a couple of gentlemen when we entered the restaurant and one had a laptop set up at one of the tables.) So the ridiculously inept service wasn't the result of a busy time of day. And a supervisor/mgr is the one who screwed up ALL our orders, not a new/untrained employee. As for the quality of the food, my spicy chicken sandwich was so thin/flat, it seemed like I was mostly eating fried breading (Chick-fil-A has NOTHING to worry about), and the french fries were room temperature and WAY over-salted... so much so, we couldn't finish them. I didn't consult others at our table about the quality of the burgers and chicken nuggets so I'll give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt on those. Just the same, I won't be returning. Whoever the franchisee is for this location needs to get his/her act together. This operation is a joke to the Wendy's brand. read more

I've been here multiple times and the wait gets longer and longer. I'm a super patient person but the last time I was in the drive thru I waited for fifteen minutes and today I waited for 23.
