I live in the area, and I've been to this Wendy's several times. It was great when it opened up and for a while after. It must have changed management or something recently because the workers are rude. The food is cold, missing ingredients, sparse fries that taste terrible due to improper changing of fry oils and sodas are half full which leads me to my point. We just flew in and on our way to Norfolk we stopped here. We had missed 3 flight so we were tired and hungry. We sat in the drive through ForEver. It had to be record breakenly slow. At on point I thought we're being punked. I was seriously waiting for the camera crew to walk out . I gave 4 Stars because although it took ForEver the food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. They made everything fresh. Maybe that's why it takes so long. read more

Do not recommend at all. I'm not one to complain, but this is literally the worst Wendy's location I have ever been to. The poor customer service is a direct reflection of management and ownership, they just do not care. Every time we go we are told they are out of something on the menu or the credit card machine is down for the entire day. Pretty sad considering New Kent has a slim selection as far as fast food. We went today and it was the same issue again. Half of the food was out and they literally stated to the car in front of us that they only had water and Diet Coke to drink. How do you run out of all of your beverages AND food consistently? Where is management? When my husband asked this the kid snapped back "there's something called a pandemic." I could be more understanding about that if 1) other locations had the same issues with food shortages (which they don't) and 2) this hasn't been a common problem for YEARS at this specific location (just read the reviews on yelp, google and fb.) Plenty of cars ahead and behind us drove off without ordering anything, and as we passed the kid taking our order he had his head out of the drive thru window and was shouting something as we drove off, all while a girl standing next to him laughed. Completely unprofessional. We kept trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but this will be the last time we support this business. read more

This is the second time, what in the world is this !!!???? Did someone eat most of this and serve the leftovers??? You have got to be kidding me that this is a serving of fruit. One container had six slices of strawberries and two blueberries ....8 the other container had nine pieces of strawberries and six blueberries. This was THE slowest fast food meal we have ever had!! Twenty minutes in line - six (6) minutes just to place our order - and then it was wrong.... The tables had not been wiped in some time and no was doing that. And no chocolate for the Frosty! We will NOT eat there again. Apparently this is standard operating procedure. read more

No staff super slow we just left after waiting in drive through line for over 5 minutes with three cars in it total.

Stopped here for a quick lunch on the way home from the beach and was super disappointed by the service! Waited in a line for almost 20 minutes just to get to the counter to order. The cashier was friendly but the other workers behind the counter were hardly doing any work at all. One woman was just standing watching the line move (and trust me, it was a slow process). Additionally, the place was a mess with most of the tables and the condiments counter being super dirty. One of the soda machines didn't work very well. If you're considering stopping for a quick bite in this area, there's a McDonald's and a Bojangles right down the road that I'm sure would be way faster, if not better! Came here on Wednesday June 8th in the evening. I don't usually leave reviews on fast food places but this has to be the worst experience I've ever had at a Wendy's. First off person at drive thru says "WHAT" when starting to take order. When paying never once was greeted or thanked. I don't think they know how to speak, only make clueless faces. Asked for ketchup and was given ranch. Left out two items and given no straws and not even a sorry. Just given same clueless face. All while the manager stands there doing nothing, he needs to be FIRED! He could have cared less. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE! read more

Terrible service, I waited 10 minutes just to order and double the time to get my food. Cooks are just standing around doing nothing.

They gave me free food when they got my order wrong & since they repeat the order to me before they tell me how much it is.

This place is awful. The service is dead slow. I mean SLOW. Drive thru service is the absolute worst. Slow slow slow slow. This was about the 5th time this happened to me and all the other customers in line. This place needs some serious management and staffing adjustments. Well... this location is fine if your order a burger... minus the onions...upgrade drink to frostie. That might be due the frequency of that order and a "hot key" on their point-of-sale system. lol. Otherwise, you might get a Apple Pecan Salad minus the pecans or order a combo with nuggets minus the nuggets... you see where I am going here. You take your chance when ordering anything besides a burger combo. But hey...at least they charge you FULL PRICE for their mistakes. Very sad fast food restaurant. They cannot get an order correct to save their poor little lives. I have visited here numerous times and never once has my order been correct. I have to throw away more food than I have eaten. They cannot take an order correctly and cannot fulfill an order. Then I am promised compensation but when I ask about it they deny it. They are not very customer friendly or helpful. Save your time and money because this is the poorest excuse for a fast food restaurant I have ever dealt with. Visit anywhere in New Kent but Wendy's. read more

The slowest drive through a barber been to. There were three cars in front of me and I was able to play two full games of cribbage and was still waiting for the car in front of me. There were three people running around in circles at the takeout window. I waited another 5 minutes and then drove off without my food. read more

I have never reviewed a fast food restaurant nor do I ever go to Wendy's but we tried something new on our road trip. The burgers were real meat with fresh veggies, the kids loved the drink choices and the kid's meal toys were actual things they had to MAKE -- not junk. Very cool robots and cars. The girls at the counter were ridiculously friendly, sweet and accommodating. The restaurant is bright and very clean. Nice job!! read more

This is your average fast food joint. Same stuff as all of the other Wendy's, just newer and cleaner than the rest.

They mess up too much. I stopped going for three months because they kept getting orders wrong. Decided to try again. How do you not know the difference between a cheeseburger and a double baconator? Ask for a Dave's double and get a plain chicken sandwich. Went one night at 11:30, half the staff was outside smoking. Waited in the drive through for two minutes then went to McDonald's up the street. I'm done with this place. They don't give receipts unless you ask for one. So if you decide to go there, check your food before you pull off. That way you can prove what you paid for. It's a shame good customer service seems to be a thing of the past. read more

Just left the Wendy's in Quinton. Sorry to say I will not be going back. The floors were dirty, tables were dirty, service was poor, hamburger bun was cold and threw half of it away. Had to ask for napkins. I live only 5 miles away but do not plan to go back. A shame we can't get better in this area. I would not rate it 1 star, but had to check something. read more

The service was slow. We ordered fries, when served they were cold. I took them back to the counter only to be greeted with "you want hot fried". Told by the manager and the server it would take about 10 minutes. We finished our meal and never got any fries. Will not be going back and new management is needed at this location. read more
