I am so happy I decided to review a few orthodontists on yelp before making my decision. I just needed some minor shifting on my teeth and made two consultations with other offices after being super unhappy with the first place I went on yelp. Once I read reviews on both places I cancelled my other appt and made one here with dr Wadden and I'm so so happy that i did. They got me in right away and the entire staff is so nice and welcoming. Dr Wadden is awesome, ethical and honest. He gave me options am choices and even suggested a cheaper treatment that would work! Gotta love anyone that wants to save you $ not take more! My treatment is half the price than the other place and it will be quicker :) I enjoy visiting the office and will follow up with more info once my treatment is done. Highly recommend him and his staff read more

Dr. Wadden really cares about his patients. I had a wire that was severely poking me in the back and I couldn't apply wax to it because it was too far in the back, so i tried to clip the wire and remove it but there was a hook on the molar band that prevented me from doing so. Dr. Wadden doesn't usually work on Sundays, but he generously came into his office to replace and trim the wires even though he wasn't open. He's a great guy who continuously exceeds my expectations not just in service but is also a great man with a humorous and outgoing personality. It's always a pleasure visiting his office and friendly staff :) read more

Went here for consultation for my son today and we were impressed by their warm greeting. Everyone was super friendly and professional. And their office is so clean and neat and so close to home! They even had a sign that welcomed my son into their office and he was totally stoked! He couldn't believe that was for him, so he had to ask the front desk to make sure if the sign with his name on it was really meant for him. And it's only a consultation, mind you! I really appreciated Dr. Wadden's honesty of letting me know that it would be cheaper to wait until my son's permanent teeth all grew. Regardless, they didn't hold back on giving not just my eldest son, but also my youngest son, loaded Kids Club cards so they can start adding more points that can give them free gift cards! Points earned can be from brushing their teeth regularly to even carving a pumpkin. Sweet! Now my kids don't want to go to any other dentist, and it's too bad Dr. Wadden doesn't practice general dentistry anymore. Oh btw, he was also DH's ortho back when he was a kid. And he remembers that Dr. Wadden had the best giveaways! Hope he doesn't retire yet... at least not until my 2 boys get their braces from him! (: read more

I just went to Dr. Wadden today for a consult and was really impressed by his honesty. He gave me a super thorough consult/exam and at the end of it all, he told me that I didn't need anything. I received great service, the staff was friendly, the office was clean and neat, and I have much respect for an honest doctor. read more

I took my son here a few years ago before he started high school. Best decision we made. He corrected my sons ortho problems and was very fairly priced. They made sure that he remains in the loop and not miss any appointments (somewhat strict on late cancellations, but I was OK with that) After 3 years he finally is done! I am very pleased with the outcome and so is my son, Dylan. My whole office and their kids are being taken cared of by Dr Wadden and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs straighter teeth. read more

This is my son's review: Dr.Wadden and the staff are very patient, polite and helpful. The wait times are not very long, and parents can go in to accompany their kids. The office is clean and tidy. I never had any problem with appointment times. When it is your very first appointment, a board greets you cheerfully. You sign in on a computer, which I find to be very convenient. However, the parking lot is sometimes full. Otherwise, this orthodontist place is great! Below is my daughter's review: I've been to Dr. Wadden's office quite a few times before. The staff was very patient, and made my treatment easier than I thought it would be. The wait times took quite a bit, however. The maximum time I waited was 30 minutes. I enjoy getting points, because I can get gift cards. I enjoyed my $15 Amazon gift card very much. The office overall was very clean and seemed like a safe environment to be in. I once broke a band on my braces, and the staff was very kind and forgiving. read more

Excellent doctor, he is very patient with my son even though he looses his retainers all the time. He very kind and efficient. My sons teeth used to be really bad and now he's finally getting little by little a perfect smile. My son feels comfortable coming here, It's very easy for me to bring my preteen to this place which I cannot say about other doctors. I definitely recommend this location it's very clean and the staff is very friendly. read more

We are on our third child having Dr. Wadden as their ortho. Dr. Wadden is very thorough and friendly. Easy to make appointments. If you are looking for an orthodontist, I suggest you at least make an appointment and see what Dr. Wadden recommends for you. We interviewed several orthodontists, some much higher in their cost and quite a few lower, but Dr. Wadden was second orthodontist to notice a problem with our daughter that none of the other orthodontists noticed. We decided to go with him since he was extremely knowledgeable, very honest and wasn't the highest or lowest priced. They offer many different payment options and accept many insurance carriers. read more

I was referred to Wadden and Tran for braces, had the worst experience ever! While taking pictures of my mouth the dental assistant yanked my mouth so hard with a metal spatula type of tool if ripped the left side of my lip and cut it. Shortly after I was asked to sit in the room to go over the payment plans, as I'm sitting there I can clearly see from the corner of my eye the coordinator helping me giving me the most dirtiest look, I turn towards her and she immediately cracked the biggest smile. I called in the following day and left a voicemail regarding the cut at the corner of my lip and no answer or call back. I called again the following week and spoke Dr. Tran, she asked if I can send her a picture, I emailed the picture to her. She then begins to tell me that it looks like a cold sore that got irritated while her assistant took the pictures. I was in total shock, never in 40 years have I had a cold sore nor were there any bumps on my mouth. Her response was she was sorry but there's nothing she can do about it. Because of this cut I had to cancel my appointment for my spacers. A week later my cut was finally healed, I called in to reschedule my appointment but the front desk said dr. Tran was on vacation and advised the office to let me know she would call me back when she returned on 9/13. No one called me so on 9/14 I called in and spoke to dr. Tran, she answered the call after I was on hold for 10 mins and clearly knew I was on the line all she kept saying was hello, yeah, I says dr. Tran I'm completely healed and would like to reschedule. Her response was she doesn't think it's a good fit and there are plenty of great orthodontics in the area. I says you guys are so unprofessional (I can see why her staff carry themselves the way that they do, this dentist is the most unprofessional dentist I've ever come across) I says to her you had me wait another week on top of the week I missed out on due to your staffs negligence for this? You could of let me know this a couple of weeks ago. Doesn't surprise me cause this lady knows nothing about customer service, at all! Her attitude sucks, very rude and super unprofessional!! read more

I love my results! What a priceless gift to have an exceptional smile. Going through the process of braces with Dr. Wadden was a "peace of mind" experience. His professional staff are all amazing too. Seeing my result in the end convinced me that Dr. W. Is a true dental perfectionist. I highly recommend him to anyone that needs his services. Bad experience! two years ago, he suggested to pull 4 teeth for my daughter. We went to another orthodontics, they simply put brace on and save my daughter's 4 teeth. Now my daughter has very beautiful smile. Be careful, don't let him pull your teeth. read more

Be aware some of the positive reviews are posted because Dr. Wadden office offers perks & incentives to his patients to post a positive review. For example, the patient can win Great America pass if he/she posts a review. Our experience with Dr. Wadden office is 1)They are the most expensive orthodontist in the area. 2) They are not flexible at all on appointment schedule. The hours are very inconvenience to service school age children. They are closed on Fridays, not open, even for limited hours on the weekends, so if any emergency between Thursday eve to the weekend, you are out of luck. To call and schedule an appointment convenience for you and your child's schedule is literally pulling teeth with them. If you are willing to take your child out of school, maybe you can get an appointment. When choosing an orthodontist for you or your child, consider quality and also availability. What good would it do for you if the dentist claims he is best but unable to service you? read more

Dr. Wadden has done incredible things!! He's honestly an amazing orthodontist that knows everything there is to know, and he is a complete perfectionist. He will make your smile brilliant! Dr. Wadden not only straightened my teeth perfectly by doing invisalign (which, by the way, he contributed to the inventing of), but he worked in conjunction with a fabulous maxillo-facial surgeon in doing upper jaw surgery to correct my bite. Gummy smile is gone! I've gotten endless compliments since Dr. Wadden's work on my smile, and I feel so much more confident. His staff is VERY sweet, smart, and accommodating. His office has the absolute latest technology as well, so you know you're getting the latest and most advanced treatment. I could go on forever. I think he's incredible at what he does and feel very lucky that I had him. It's nice to know you can completely trust someone with something as huge as your mouth and smile. I hope this helps people make such an important decision. You'll be so happy you chose him! read more

Dr. Wadden is such an outstanding doctor and he truly change my life forever. He build my self-esteem by aligning my severely crooked teeth into a great looking smile. I now have more confidence speaking in public and I feel like so many doors of opportunities opened up because of the precise treatment regimen that he has done. His staff is so courteous and very friendly. They always treat their patient very well and they do not rush on procedures or treatment. Fantastic Orthodontist in the bay area, I am very pleased with the results.

I'm nearing the end of my treatment with Dr. Wadden and thought I'd write my first Yelp review of my experience. To move the bottom line to the top, let's just say I highly recommend him. I came to Dr. Wadden after falling and doing some significant damage to my teeth. The "fix" required braces and in my case, there were lots of competing issues to balance. Dr. Wadden did a beautiful job of not only working out the treatment plan, but in going to bat for me with the Worker's Compensation insurance company. Because of his work on my behalf, my mouth is repaired and the insurance company came through with the payment. As with any dental treatment plan, it's important that the patients work with their providers and follow instructions. The process did hurt and I had to remain vigilant about keeping my teeth clean along the way. But if you keep all of your appointments, follow his instructions, and defer to his expertise, you'll have a great outcome. Dr. Wadden and his staff couldn't have been more attentive to my specific issues or more compassionate about the difficulties I was facing, and all along they were pleasant and fun to work with. As a side note, an orthodontist recommended treatment for my young niece that seemed far too aggressive so my brother got a second opinion from Dr. Wadden. Dr. Wadden was on the cutting edge of the treatment that was recommended and understood it fully. He recommended against it for my niece and saved her a lot of grief by doing so. He could have agreed with the other orthodontist and gotten a new patient, but he did what was right for my niece. Dr. Wadden and his staff make your orthodontia treatment as pleasant as they can and will keep your interests at the forefront of their decision making. Again, I highly recommend him.. read more

Dr. Wadden is a wonderful orthodontist.. Both of my children had their work done by him.. He has a staff that make you feel like family when you walk in the door.. He is always patient and understanding of all concerns brought to his attention.. My daughter had major brain surgery a few weeks after getting her braces off 6 years ago.. She was resistant to the last few procedures finalizing her orthodontic treatment.. She had always regretted not finishing up.. A few weeks ago I asked him if he would be willing to complete her work and with a smile and a hug.. He agreed today she had her final treatment and now she and I will be forever grateful.. I recently finished my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Wadden and walked away with a better smile! I initially came to Dr. Wadden's office in 2012 for a consultation and didn't start treatment due to finances. I came back in 2014 for another consultation and they were just as welcoming as the first time. Dr. Wadden always does a thorough evaluation each visit. I never had an issue with waiting for my appointment. Everyone is always friendly and professional. I also never had an issue with billing. Everything was straight forward since the initial appointment. They are very accommodating when it comes to scheduling as well. Dr. Wadden's office also does this cool point system for rewards. We first came into the office in 2010 for a consultation. I was very impressed with the friendly office staff and Dr. Wadden. Dr. Wadden did an initial check on her teeth and even did some facial measurements. The office manager went over the financial plans for the overall treatment. We had seen another local orthodontist that didn't do such a through exam at the consultation but rather sat there and went through a photo book of previous patients. Since the office manager had just showed us this book 10 mins prior. I was not impressed and didn't get that welcome feeling but rather a rushed appointment. I didn't feel rushed and felt very comfortable with Dr. Wadden explaining that we needed to wait before preceding with any treatment. Would we come back every 4 -5 months to check since my daughter was only 10 yrs old and still had a lot of baby teeth. Finally, in 2013 after many visits and a few teeth extractions she finally got her braces on. They had given us an estimated time of 30 months but it only took about 21 months since her teeth were progressing much faster after each visit. It was a long process with many many visits and wires needing to be tightened and bands of various sizes having to be put on. But in the end it was so worth it to see her beautiful smile once the braces came off. It was a great present for her to get those braces off right before her 16th birthday. The office staff makes a big deal of this milestone by having balloons ready and a goodie bag full of chewy candies and a picture taken with Dr. Wadden. A special touch that each patient will remember. We truly appreciate this wonderful experience that we have had with this office. We had our final appointment which was a follow up and to talk about what to expect in the future of her teeth. We were given some recommendation on how to keep her teeth from shifting in the future. I will miss talking with the friendly staff who always try to accommodate my appointment time requests. The wait area is nice and comfortable with plenty of magazines to read, a coffee and tea station nearby and free wifi. Plenty to keep busy as some appts will take a while. I know he is a wonderful orthodontist as I have seen many familiar faces in the wait room with kids from all over Milpitas. I work in the Milpitas school district so I know the kids that are patients here. I have also recommended this office to friends who have asked where we go to and why. read more

I feel bad to give out bad review. Somehow, in this case, Mr. Wadden is totally deserved this bad review. if there's negative star, i would give that. I had my treatment here about 3 years ago. Recommended by Dr. James Carrigan. Wow, such a major mistake of my life. I don't the whole office is really there for treatment or just milking patient money. Treatment was bad. Dr. was unprofessional and crooked. 2 weeks after the braces removed, i had 4 of my teeth extracted. I DO NOT, DO NOT recommend anyone to this office. As soon as you come for consultation, they put you in 3D scan. then if you want to change your mind, they charge you $300 for 3D scan for yr first consultation. After the treatment, I ask for my teeth impression, they didn't want to give me. DR has warm heart. This guy and the office are bunch of crook. waiting to milk patient money. I am not the kind to write reviews - usually don't have the patience for these things but Dr.Wadden is so awesome he totally deserves it!! Starting from the first free consultation, it has been a great experience. I had seen 3 other orthodontists before I met Dr.Wadden. I was not happy with any of them - they didn't seem to care, told me my teeth alignment was gonna be hard to fix and/or were overpriced. I only went to Dr.Wadden because his office is close to my home. They charged me less than the other orthodontists and also provided me with excellent care. Absolutely love Dr.Wadden and would definitely recommend him to anyone considering braces/invisalign! read more

The office looks high-tech and the staff are friendly. Dr. Wadden is very experienced and knowledgeable when I met with him the first time. I went to Dr Wadden at the recommendation of my regular dentist (who is across the street from Dr Wadden's clinic). Dr Wadden was extremely thorough. My treatment took around 4 years (I'm middle aged and didn't get braces when I was a child) and Dr Wadden kept going until he was satisfied with my teeth. Since I stopped paying him about 2 1/2 years into the treatment (per our original contract), he picked up the tab for the rest of it. So he was obviously going the extra mile (at his own expense) to get my teeth right. He and his staff are personable. And organized, e.g. I was sent email reminders of my appointments and was able to get ad hoc appointments promptly. Highly recommended. read more

Did some research about Dr. Wadden's practice and through family and friends I heard pros and cons. After an initial consultation I decided not to go with Dr. Wadden. When you go to the office, they are clearly busy so the practice must be doing well over all. However, part of the problem is that with so many patients it is difficult getting appointments at preferred times. It also seemed like a factory with tons of people going in and out and not much personal attention. A friend went through a treatment process and didn't feel that a strong recommendation was warranted. I also felt talked down to during a consultation and felt disrespected. I prefer an orthodontist that I feel more comfortable with so I'll keep looking. read more

This review should've been written 10 years ago. I'm writing it now because everyday I have to live with the irreversible damage Gregory Wadden has done. I had a consultation with Gregory when I was about 16 years old. He said the time to complete my treatment would be about 2 1/2 years. He convinced my mom after the braces were put on that I had to pull 4 teeth in order to move forward with treatment. For 2 weeks I refused, after him telling my mom there's nothing he can do if the teeth weren't pulled I gave in & had them pulled. One of the 4 teeth removed was a molar that had a root canal done on it & instead of pulling the matching tooth like the opposite side, Gregory said this tooth had to be pulled since it would cause problems in the future. The space left after the molar was pulled was much larger than the other spaces of the teeth that were pulled & he stated it could be filled in later with a implant to even out the space once the teeth were repositioned. First let me say I probably missed about a year's worth of appointments & had to reschedule which prolonged my treatment but 6 years later you would think it would be done already. Yes, I had my braces for about 6 years & with each tightening of the wires something else would get out of alignment. The problems caused by this were my bite was never fully connected, the front teeth were not aligned with the bottom teeth, meaning the row of bottom teeth were slightly to the left. It caused me to have a lisp when I talked, my side facial profile changed once the teeth were pushed back causing my lips to move inward & making my already predominant nose to look even bigger, My smile changed, and I got a clicking in my jaw. By the 6th year of treatment I had enough & popped of my braces. I called Gregory's office to schedule an appointment to come in & get the glue left on my teeth removed. When I went in he was clearly irritated by what I did & only said he was going to "Polish" my teeth. When he was done my teeth had bad scratches & scrapes to the point where you can see the lines & indents of where he "polished" them. Since then my teeth lost their shape, shine, & smoothness. One tooth actually chipped on the tip due to to the thinning after the "polish" When I asked about the implant he mentioned after pulling the molar that wasn't causing me any pain or trouble, he said I had to get that done myself, he doesn't do that. If I would've known that I definitely wouldn't have pulled it. It's expensive to have an implant or bridge put in & my insurance will not cover it. Also when he tightened my braces & greatly reduced the space where the molar was pulled, my dentist said it would be really difficult to put an implant there. I had a horrible experience working with Gregory, he never smiled or talked, never said Hi or Bye when I came for my appointments & one time I asked him to wear a mask to cover his nose & mouth (which he should be doing with every patient) & he was so annoyed constantly moving it around like he was uncomfortable but having him breathing over me & something flying out of his nose when I have my mouth wide open is gross. He still wouldn't wear a mask after that. Everyday I have to look at my dull, scratched, indented, deformed teeth & it makes me so upset given my smile was one of my best features. Not anymore thanks to Gregory. If you have the option, get invisalign. I hope he hasn't damaged anymore smiles. read more

Dr. Wadden is well qualified. But this office has recently got new front office manager and these people are not friendly and professional. Dr. Wadden and his staff are amazing. I had consultations with several orthodontist in the area before deciding to go with Dr. Wadden, while he wasn't the cheapest option he was definitely the most personable and intelligent, I instantly trusted him with my teeth. I prefer to give my money/business to people that deserve it and he unequivocally did. I didn't get my braces until I was 30, they were off before my 32nd birthday, roughly 22months and thanks to Dr. Wadden my teeth look amazing! Going to an appointment never felt like a hassle or inconvenience, it never felt rushed and his staff were always friendly, welcoming and most importantly ON TIME! I would 100% recommend Dr. Wadden!
