I rarely write reviews, but I hope this helps other parents. My experience here was very…read moredisappointing. I took my son for a routine orthodontic check-up. This time, they took a panoramic X-ray, but the dentist never came out to update us -- only the assistant said everything looked good. That didn't feel right. I later had another dentist review the same X-rays and found that my son has four wisdom teeth coming in -- something this orthodontist completely missed. At our next visit to replace a lost retainer, the dentist didn't even know about the wisdom teeth until I mentioned it. The financial coordinator, Rose, was rude and unprofessional. I requested a call from the dentist, but he never called back. When I followed up, he said parents must provide a reason when requesting a call -- an unacceptable response from a dentist and business owner. He also said he's so confident in his staff's training that there's nothing wrong with his practice. Unbelievable. Due to his lack of attention to detail and poor professionalism, I do not recommend this orthodontist.

I was a patient of Dr Ly Nguyen for braces TWICE as a kid. I am now in my late 20s continuing to…read morepay the price for his poor work. There are numerous reasons I have suffered under this Dr's care that I can't even think of them all. For one, he removed 2 of my bottom teeth to make them fit underneath the top teeth (I had an underbite) and he could not, for the life of him, close one of the gaps he created! So you know what he did? He just filled it in. So underneath the filling, there was just an empty space in my gum that finally closed with Adult Invisalign. There are a few other pockets that he created between my teeth that caused food to get trapped easier near my gums and cause major cavities. Two of which became necessary to do root canals. Now I have sensitivity in those teeth forever and goodbye another $2k for crowns. Secondly, I had to tell him to close the gap that he created between my two front teeth because he was going to remove my braces as they were lol. His response was "oh you want that closed?". Well yes lol. Thirdly, so many teeth were out of their correct alignment that it forced my bite to be open almost all around. I have had a bad bite for over a decade which I believe contributes to my chronic migraines until I finally decided to seek out orthodontic care again recently. After Invisalign for 2 years, my bite is still unable to be corrected without a THIRD round of braces. So here I am writing because I am about to spend another $5000 on braces as an adult because my teeth got so f***ed as a kid. So how much did I spend to fix his errors so far? Damn near $20k so far If you like sound decisions in your life, and save yourself, I would highly recommend not trusting this office! At all! Also if it helps at all to understand my POV on healthcare and malpractice, I am a registered nurse. So trust me.

Good orthodontist but is often hampered by an unreliable front office and inconsistent customer…read moreservice. The person in charge of admin for patient billing, coordination and scheduling is Yvonne. Lately patients have had to put up with missed reminders, delays in scheduling appointments, and unexplained absences from the front desk that leave the customers hanging. On multiple occasions, I've arrived for appointments only to find no one at the front desk for extended periods. Follow-up calls about billing questions have gone unreturned, and I've had to call back several times to get simple issues resolved. When Yvonne is present and engaged, things run more smoothly, but the inconsistency makes it difficult to plan around appointments or trust that administrative matters will be handled properly. Dr. Chou himself is skilled and professional--the clinical care is not the issue here. However, the front office dysfunction significantly impacts the overall patient experience. For an orthodontic practice where patients need regular visits over months or years, reliable administrative support is essential. I hope management addresses these operational issues, as they're undermining what could otherwise be an excellent practice.

This took over the double the time originally predicted. Quite ironically, my appointment today was also the one I was latest to. I hope you get better patients than me in the future! I'll still be seeing them with my retainers but it's bittersweet to close out this chapter in my life. Hopefully this is the third AND last time I'll need braces!

At the completion of treatment, one of my child's front teeth was still noticeably misaligned. When I raised this concern, Dr. Yue assured us that the retainers would help correct the alignment over time. However, at a follow-up visit, she denied ever saying that the retainers would fix the issue. We recently returned for another evaluation and were told that the only solution is to proceed with Phase 2 treatment at a cost of $8,500. I am very disappointed with how this situation was handled. The Phase 1 treatment was completed with a visible alignment issue that was never resolved, and now we are being asked to pay a significant additional amount to address a problem that should have been properly discussed and managed from the beginning.
