The space is so small you could literally hold hands with the person in the next chair while they're getting their braces adjusted -- no privacy at all. Every sound, every conversation, every tool noise is right in your face. The staff? Rude and totally unprofessional. They act like you're an inconvenience just for showing up to your appointment. The way they rush you through everything feels careless -- and honestly, I started wondering if they even sanitize their equipment properly. I've seen gloves reused between tasks and trays that didn't look freshly cleaned. Absolutely disgusting. The waiting room is just as bad -- cramped, noisy, and the air feels stale. You'll be shoulder-to-shoulder with strangers for an hour before they finally call your name. The whole place gives off "factory assembly line" energy instead of a real orthodontic office. Maria was extremely rude and unprofessional. She said she was going to reset the X-ray machine, but instead I watched her order food for about 20 minutes while I waited. Even after I explained that I recently had jaw surgery and it's painful and difficult for me to bite down, she became irritated and said, "I have to do my job." I cant complain about the treatment because everything was going well until I got pregnant and was put on bed rest I informed them and they put a pause on my treatment and told me to call once the baby was born to proceed with the treatment and payments, once he was born I called and told them I was ready & they said I had to pay the remaining balance in full otherwise I wouldn't be able to get an appointment I told them I wasn't working and couldn't afford to pay everything I asked if I can speak to someone and they said they'd contact me back, well I hadnt heard back since. I kept calling and leaving voicemails and only get answered by an AI machine that doesn't help at all! I got a text saying I'm was sent to collection with no explanation or call back!! I have been calling for the past week and get no call back or answer. Super disappointed. I really wanted to finish my treatment and I was planning on paying. :/ read more

We were a long time patient for more than 7 years till things went south in Dec 2024. My insurance unfortunately denied the claim since we reached lifetime limit. We contacted the office promptly to find out the options, no one returned our calls. We tried around 6-7 times to find out options, it gets redirected to AI assistant and no one returns the calls. They periodically started deducting the amount from account for the treatment which never started, since the claim never went through. The office called me after 4 months in March 2025 and reminded me I have above 2500 due payment for the treatment which never started. When I mentioned I will not be going ahead with the treatment, they charged $250 as administration fee. Something changed here in last 4-5 months, and it seems "Accounts are very strict". We are never going to this place again. read more

Took my teen to get his wisdom teeth extracted a few weeks ago to this office. Only office that took our insurance which is Medi-cal/Denti-cal. The wait to be seen is long because they take so many wisdom teeth removal appts back to back. The whole procedure is fast once the dentist gets around to see the pt. What I didn't like is that they don't give you a phone call or a text to let you know the prescription has been sent to the pharmacy of your choice. Nor do they give a follow up care phone call out of courtesy to check on patient. To see how he/she is doing after the procedure. Hopefully they do BETTER! read more

I had high hopes for Image Orthodontics, but alas, they've managed to tarnish their own image in my eyes. What was supposed to be a straightforward 45-week Invisalign journey veered off course in just 10 weeks when my trays became misaligned--ironic, isn't it? Trying to get an appointment to address this was nothing short of a nightmare; their scheduling is horrendous, making it almost impossible to see a professional when you actually need one. To top it off, their financial department claimed I was 90 days past due on my payments due to changes in my insurance and employer--a fact I might have tackled promptly had anyone bothered to notify me. Not a single call, email, or letter; just silent accusations and a growing bill. Adding to my frustrations with Image Orthodontics, when I finally navigated their scheduling labyrinth to secure an appointment, they wouldn't honor it. The reason? I needed to reconcile a past-due balance that I wasn't even aware existed until I showed up. There had been zero communication from their side about this issue. It's appalling to be blindsided like that, especially when you're just trying to receive the care you were promised. This experience really cements the fact that Image Orthodontics might just need a major realignment of their own operational and communication strategies. If they can't straighten out their administrative issues, I remain skeptical of their ability to manage anything as delicate as orthodontic care. Honestly, if Image Orthodontics can't get their communication aligned, I wouldn't trust them to straighten out anything--especially not your smile. I came here for a tooth extraction with the oral surgeon and it was the best experience I have ever had. All staff were amazing and very helpful through out the process. The surgeon was very quick and nice, I did not feel a thing!! The medicine was sent over right away and recieved my medication to the pharmacy I have requested. I searched for a location for my wisdom teeth removal in CA for quite awhile. I have Medi-Cal Insurance and I am over the age of 21, so the options are limited. I traveled to Image Orthodontics from out of town and had a great experience. The staff were very clear and helpful throughout the process. I was incredibly nervous about getting my wisdom teeth removed without sedation. Something that helped was bringing headphones and they were totally fine with me listening to music during the procedure. The hardest part of the process was the wait, but this is something I encounter at any facility that takes Medi-Cal insurance and it is very understandable. I would rather they take their time then rush though things. Some of the poor reviews for this location sound like unique situations or personal preferences. If you're looking for straight forward care, I would recommend this location for wisdom teeth removal, whether a teenager or adult. This is a late review, but extremely needed. I wanted to express to everyone reading this that this facility has an amazing team! I have a deathly fear of the dentist and I do everything in my power not to go. I had to get my wisdom teeth removed which is one if not the biggest dental surgeries I'll ever have and I must say, it was the best dentist experience I've ever had in my life. Dr. Kwan was extremely informative on the decisions he provided for me on whether or not to remove all 4 or just the two. He was honest and did not try to upsell me on anything neither did the staff. Dr. Kwan was easy to talk to and I felt like I was talking to a friend of mine! Devon was super duper friendly and our conversation about his cool hobby distracted me from my fears very much. There was no pain in my surgery. Just pressure and my anxiety. Haha. Adriana, Autumn, and Rosalita were all friendly and welcoming as well. They made sure I was taken care of. Rosalita is amazing that she helps to take care of the feral kitties behind the office! Omg that won my heart. I'm going to do everything in my power to try to make this facility my personal dentist! Highly recommend this place. They did my invisalign for an affordable price and with great customer service. I've gone to 4 different orthodontic clinic but they all said they would have to remove one of the teeth next to the front and i wouldnt want that and he was the only one that had told me that its possible to not remove it but would take a little bit longer than usual and i am fine with that. That was last year and fast forward to today, it has inproved a lot to bring out my front tooth which has been hiding in the back with no problem at all. And all yhe staff and crews are just all friendly especially Michelle who explains to me with all the small details on how to keep my aligners well fitted to my teeth and all that. IMHO I'm a 65-year old woman who decided to take better care of my oral health as I age. I was tired of watching my teeth shift and food constantly getting stuck between some teeth. My dentist recommended Dr. Rene Yabar from Image Orthodontics. I went in for a consult to see if I was a candidate for Invisalign aligners. Dr. Yabar's demeanor was kind, reassuring and encouraging. He and his associates answered my many questions and I decided to go forward with the regimen. I am on week 18 of a 45 week treatment schedule. I look forward to changing my aligner tray every week. There is virtually no pain when wearing these. I feel slight pressure on my teeth when I first put them onto my teeth, but that's it. I wear them about 20-21 hours a day, and only take them off when I'm eating. I will see Dr. Yabar every three months to see how I am progressing. When I am finished wearing the aligners, I will have to wear retainers for 6 months, and after that only wear them at night...forever. I am glad I made the decision to do something good for me! read more

I've been a patient here for a few months, and while I understand that financial issues are my own responsibility, the staff has been extremely rude and quick to threaten termination of my treatment. One of the front desk workers today a girl informed me that I missed a payment and bluntly stated that if I don't pay, I won't be able to attend my next appointment. The lack of empathy is shocking, and it feels like they're more focused on money than patient care. I regret choosing this place for my braces treatment. How DARE they shame a kid who is a new patient then the same day have this piece of work Connie Vega call (who was on speaker so I heard everything just now) and rudely state how this is her last attempt to collect or else she's being sent to collections. I thought she was calling to apologize for the doctors behavior but that's giving them too much credit. First off let the account be late ONE month at least before you threaten a patient to collections.
