This place is AMAZING! All the staff members here are always nice, smiling, and in a good mood. Autumn is so pleasant when helping make appointments for my daughter, Heather is one of my daughter's favorites, and Maria always greets us whenever we walk in. read more

Image Orthodontics - Day 1! Can't want to see end results :) - Orthodontists Near Me - San Jose, California

Dr. Rene Yabar is the best, hands down. From the moment I walked in, I felt taken care of 200%. As a woman prioritizing self-care, I truly appreciated his thoughtful, human-centered approach and the way he made me feel seen, heard, and supported. Teeth alignment is something I've always wanted, and this experience has been both empowering and reassuring. Highly recommend. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place feels more like a crowded bus than a clinic. The space is so small you could literally hold hands with the person in the next chair while they're getting their braces adjusted -- no privacy at all. Every sound, every conversation, every tool noise is right in your face. The staff? Rude and totally unprofessional. They act like you're an inconvenience just for showing up to your appointment. The way they rush you through everything feels careless -- and honestly, I started wondering if they even sanitize their equipment properly. I've seen gloves reused between tasks and trays that didn't look freshly cleaned. Absolutely disgusting. The waiting room is just as bad -- cramped, noisy, and the air feels stale. You'll be shoulder-to-shoulder with strangers for an hour before they finally call your name. The whole place gives off "factory assembly line" energy instead of a real orthodontic office. If you value your health, privacy, and basic respect, go anywhere else. This place is a nightmare. read more

Great and fast care. Very indepth. It was only for a check up but i wouldn't mind making this my main dentist office.

Maria was extremely rude and unprofessional. She said she was going to reset the X-ray machine, but instead I watched her order food for about 20 minutes while I waited. Even after I explained that I recently had jaw surgery and it's painful and difficult for me to bite down, she became irritated and said, "I have to do my job." Completely insensitive and disrespectful. I'm extremely disappointed and will never go there again. read more

Image Orthodontics - Maria "fixing" the X-ray device. (Machine was hungry) - Orthodontists Near Me - San Jose, California

Phone staff is very rude and unprofessional, attempted to make an appt and after providing all the necessary paperwork was given very rude treatment. Will not be coming here and would caution anyone else seeking services. read more

I started my smile journey back in early 2022. After so many attempts at getting orthodontic treatment through insurance, I found Image Orthodontics. Everything from the consultation, to the treatment, to the final product went so smoothly. They were flexible when I needed it and always reliable. Dr. Yabar helped me obtain the smile I always wanted. Thank you to the all the staff that made braces such a wonderful experience. read more

I came in for my Invisalign treatment, and Adriána was fantastic. She was friendly, welcoming, and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. Truly great service! read more

I had high hopes for Image Orthodontics, but alas, they've managed to tarnish their own image in my eyes. What was supposed to be a straightforward 45-week Invisalign journey veered off course in just 10 weeks when my trays became misaligned--ironic, isn't it? Trying to get an appointment to address this was nothing short of a nightmare; their scheduling is horrendous, making it almost impossible to see a professional when you actually need one. To top it off, their financial department claimed I was 90 days past due on my payments due to changes in my insurance and employer--a fact I might have tackled promptly had anyone bothered to notify me. Not a single call, email, or letter; just silent accusations and a growing bill. Adding to my frustrations with Image Orthodontics, when I finally navigated their scheduling labyrinth to secure an appointment, they wouldn't honor it. The reason? I needed to reconcile a past-due balance that I wasn't even aware existed until I showed up. There had been zero communication from their side about this issue. It's appalling to be blindsided like that, especially when you're just trying to receive the care you were promised. This experience really cements the fact that Image Orthodontics might just need a major realignment of their own operational and communication strategies. If they can't straighten out their administrative issues, I remain skeptical of their ability to manage anything as delicate as orthodontic care. Honestly, if Image Orthodontics can't get their communication aligned, I wouldn't trust them to straighten out anything--especially not your smile. I would never recommend this place, even to my worst enemy with the most crooked teeth. read more

I cant complain about the treatment because everything was going well until I got pregnant and was put on bed rest I informed them and they put a pause on my treatment and told me to call once the baby was born to proceed with the treatment and payments, once he was born I called and told them I was ready & they said I had to pay the remaining balance in full otherwise I wouldn't be able to get an appointment I told them I wasn't working and couldn't afford to pay everything I asked if I can speak to someone and they said they'd contact me back, well I hadnt heard back since. I kept calling and leaving voicemails and only get answered by an AI machine that doesn't help at all! I got a text saying I'm was sent to collection with no explanation or call back!! I have been calling for the past week and get no call back or answer. Super disappointed. I really wanted to finish my treatment and I was planning on paying. :/ read more

We were a long time patient for more than 7 years till things went south in Dec 2024. My insurance unfortunately denied the claim since we reached lifetime limit. We contacted the office promptly to find out the options, no one returned our calls. We tried around 6-7 times to find out options, it gets redirected to AI assistant and no one returns the calls. They periodically started deducting the amount from account for the treatment which never started, since the claim never went through. The office called me after 4 months in March 2025 and reminded me I have above 2500 due payment for the treatment which never started. When I mentioned I will not be going ahead with the treatment, they charged $250 as administration fee. Something changed here in last 4-5 months, and it seems "Accounts are very strict". We are never going to this place again. read more

Took my teen to get his wisdom teeth extracted a few weeks ago to this office. Only office that took our insurance which is Medi-cal/Denti-cal. The wait to be seen is long because they take so many wisdom teeth removal appts back to back. The whole procedure is fast once the dentist gets around to see the pt. What I didn't like is that they don't give you a phone call or a text to let you know the prescription has been sent to the pharmacy of your choice. Nor do they give a follow up care phone call out of courtesy to check on patient. To see how he/she is doing after the procedure. Hopefully they do BETTER! read more

Staffs are wonderful. Took my daughter , D in today. From day one meeting with Christine signing contract and working with staffs in back is a breeze. I highly recommend this place if anyone needs ortho treatment. read more

I came here for a tooth extraction with the oral surgeon and it was the best experience I have ever had. All staff were amazing and very helpful through out the process. The surgeon was very quick and nice, I did not feel a thing!! The medicine was sent over right away and recieved my medication to the pharmacy I have requested. I could not be happier with my experience at this location and would recommend everyone I know to come here for a fast and efficient experience! read more

After going to 4 different places I have decided to get my grandson his braces here! Why?? Because people shouldn't have to pay a fortune with a huge down payment and huge monthly installments. Of course everyone wants a beautiful smile and because it's hard for most of us it sometimes can't work out. Image has made it the most affordable to move forward in getting him the braces he needs! The staff is super kind and friendly! And Adriana answered all my questions and explained very clearly on what to expect during this process! The Dr was super kind and very professional. Awesome teamwork!!! Thank you for everything! See you soon! read more

This is a late review, but extremely needed. I wanted to express to everyone reading this that this facility has an amazing team! I have a deathly fear of the dentist and I do everything in my power not to go. I had to get my wisdom teeth removed which is one if not the biggest dental surgeries I'll ever have and I must say, it was the best dentist experience I've ever had in my life. Dr. Kwan was extremely informative on the decisions he provided for me on whether or not to remove all 4 or just the two. He was honest and did not try to upsell me on anything neither did the staff. Dr. Kwan was easy to talk to and I felt like I was talking to a friend of mine! Devon was super duper friendly and our conversation about his cool hobby distracted me from my fears very much. There was no pain in my surgery. Just pressure and my anxiety. Haha. Adriana, Autumn, and Rosalita were all friendly and welcoming as well. They made sure I was taken care of. Rosalita is amazing that she helps to take care of the feral kitties behind the office! Omg that won my heart. I'm going to do everything in my power to try to make this facility my personal dentist! They're amazing and I cannot recommend nothing but greatness about this office. read more

I searched for a location for my wisdom teeth removal in CA for quite awhile. I have Medi-Cal Insurance and I am over the age of 21, so the options are limited. I traveled to Image Orthodontics from out of town and had a great experience. The staff were very clear and helpful throughout the process. I was incredibly nervous about getting my wisdom teeth removed without sedation. Something that helped was bringing headphones and they were totally fine with me listening to music during the procedure. The hardest part of the process was the wait, but this is something I encounter at any facility that takes Medi-Cal insurance and it is very understandable. I would rather they take their time then rush though things. Some of the poor reviews for this location sound like unique situations or personal preferences. If you're looking for straight forward care, I would recommend this location for wisdom teeth removal, whether a teenager or adult. Great experience and so grateful that everything went well! read more

Highly recommend this place. They did my invisalign for an affordable price and with great customer service. I've gone to 4 different orthodontic clinic but they all said they would have to remove one of the teeth next to the front and i wouldnt want that and he was the only one that had told me that its possible to not remove it but would take a little bit longer than usual and i am fine with that. That was last year and fast forward to today, it has inproved a lot to bring out my front tooth which has been hiding in the back with no problem at all. And all yhe staff and crews are just all friendly especially Michelle who explains to me with all the small details on how to keep my aligners well fitted to my teeth and all that. Thank you again! read more

IMHO I'm a 65-year old woman who decided to take better care of my oral health as I age. I was tired of watching my teeth shift and food constantly getting stuck between some teeth. My dentist recommended Dr. Rene Yabar from Image Orthodontics. I went in for a consult to see if I was a candidate for Invisalign aligners. Dr. Yabar's demeanor was kind, reassuring and encouraging. He and his associates answered my many questions and I decided to go forward with the regimen. I am on week 18 of a 45 week treatment schedule. I look forward to changing my aligner tray every week. There is virtually no pain when wearing these. I feel slight pressure on my teeth when I first put them onto my teeth, but that's it. I wear them about 20-21 hours a day, and only take them off when I'm eating. I will see Dr. Yabar every three months to see how I am progressing. When I am finished wearing the aligners, I will have to wear retainers for 6 months, and after that only wear them at night...forever. I am glad I made the decision to do something good for me! read more

First time coming into the facility, the staff was very welcoming. Doctor Yabar made sure that I was comfortable and confident that he and his staff will get me the results I wanted. Whether I need to reschedule an appointment or needing extra rubber bands, Autumn is always there to provide great customer service. I highly recommend this Orthodontics to anyone that's looking to get braces. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I surely would...Where do I even begin? The staff is so rude and they hustle you around like cattle without even acknowledging their mistakes. Their system was down after I submitted my forms so they tell me to "sit" in the waiting room with no available chairs while I fill out daunting paperwork I have already completed. After all that then they tell me they can't help me. Why not let me know before this horrible experience? Please go elsewhere this place doesn't deserve your business. read more

I started my treatment in September and so far I like the service the staff and the price I got was really good. I've been a patient here for a few months, and while I understand that financial issues are my own responsibility, the staff has been extremely rude and quick to threaten termination of my treatment. One of the front desk workers today a girl informed me that I missed a payment and bluntly stated that if I don't pay, I won't be able to attend my next appointment. The lack of empathy is shocking, and it feels like they're more focused on money than patient care. I regret choosing this place for my braces treatment. If I could, I would have gone elsewhere. read more

I just want to say this staff is amazing. I had my braces for 2 years from an overbite from hell. Dr. Yabar is phenomenal and is one of the best doctors I've had in the Bay Area. He takes his time with his patients, is extremely professional, relatable, gentle and considerate of the patients worries and concerns. Last weekend I emailed him and within a day he had already responded with one of the office managers calling me to book a consultation appointment. As a client I feel listened to which is one of the core qualities I seek in any of my healthcare providers. My healthcare plan is working and my teeth are moving and shifting in the right direction. Dr. Yabar thanks for your understanding and care. Autumn is also a great resource in the office! OMG!! Connie just called my sister and I had to report this. DONT GO HERE! SO GHETTO and unprofessional. The doctor threaten to drop my niece cause she didn't floss to his liking. How DARE they shame a kid who is a new patient then the same day have this piece of work Connie Vega call (who was on speaker so I heard everything just now) and rudely state how this is her last attempt to collect or else she's being sent to collections. I thought she was calling to apologize for the doctors behavior but that's giving them too much credit. First off let the account be late ONE month at least before you threaten a patient to collections.
