After explaining all our interactions, she was very understanding and took accountability and apologized for how the treatment went. More importantly the customer service part. She acknowledged that they have been working with the team to provide better customer support. She had called me the very next day after my review was posted. Fast forward today, I have been calling them for scheduling, asking general questions, insurance claims etc and they have been very responsive and professional. Omg I love my results for my teeth!!! I had 4 teeth extracted and at first I was a little hesitant on the extraction but doctor Chiang explained to me how it can improve my profile. So I went ahead and did 4 teeth extraction. Doctor Chiang said my treatment would be 24-30 months because of the extraction but I finished my treatment in 18 months and the results are amazing !!! However, I have emailed but did not receive any response; I have also called at least five times, but no one answers. When someone does pick up, they put me on hold and then hang up. I have left voicemails as well, but no one has called me back. In my email, I mentioned that I'd prefer a Vietnamese translator or staff, but I can also speak English. I brought my daughter here when she was a young teen to get braces, and when I saw how quickly her teeth had started to straighten and improve, I wanted to get braces for myself as well. I had mostly straight teeth on top, and one very crooked tooth below. The crooked tooth was near the front, and it had spun almost sideways. I did not like the looks of this, and was wondering if braces could also improve my overall smile. I figured since I really only wanted one tooth fixed, essentially, this might be an easy job. How wrong I was! Dr. Chiang recommended braces on all my teeth (I'm sure this recommendation was based solely on his making more money), and when putting in spacers, one could not be put in due to how tight my 2 back teeth were, so he took a grinder and created a space (I ended up with 2 cavities in those 2 teeth as a result). After installing braces and going to him for a year, the braces he installed created a huge open bite....yes, I could no longer close my teeth together in the front, forget about eating a sandwich. My teeth were much worse a year later than they were when I went to him initially, I used to have straight upper teeth, and a closed bite, so he messed me up pretty good. But that's not all folks....we ended up moving to Oregon from Calif and when I went to an orthodontist in my new city, I asked for my x-rays and pictures to be transferred to me. Reply? They had "lost" my original x-rays and pictures. They only had the latest ones....huh? I guess they knew my results were worse not better, and lied....I mean, who "loses" medical records like that? Luckily I had "before" pics and x-rays from a different dentist I had gone to before this one. The new orthodontist I went to out here, told me he would not attempt to take me on, as the braces had done more harm then good. Not only was I now with an open bite, the crooked tooth on bottom was not even straightened, but I also had developed 7 cavities total throughout my mouth! After 30 years of zero cavities, his messing with my teeth created gaps that food would get stuck in which caused this many cavities. I was told to take all the braces off, and just let the teeth go back to their original state. Sadly, my bite has never fully closed, I've had to get several fillings, and that one rogue crooked tooth is still crooked. Its been over 4 years since this ordeal started. Buyer beware if you are thinking of coming here as an adult. I wish I had never come to this orthodontist, or ever gotten braces. read more

3 years later.... i just got my braces taken off two weeks ago!!! after years of not knowing how far along i was on getting my braces off (initial consultation said 2.5 years), i told in september 2022 that i was getting my braces off soon in the next 2-3 visits!! being 30 when i got them, it was not easy... was off to a rocky start in the beginning of 2020 due to the pandemic- it was so unknown if i was gonna get anywhere with my teeth. then was a bit easier when appointments were more consistent and frequent. wearing masks during my brace face phase helped me out immensely lol. during the 3 years, i had the following done: 4 premolar teeth extracted, a spring was put on a tooth that was behind the rest of my teeth, lots of power chains throughout the months, and around august 2022 i had to wear one rubberband on one side for about a month. ive probably broken 3-4 ceramic brackets during my treatment. got one bracket replaced with a metal because that particular area kept breaking. not too shabby! when i was told in sept that i was getting my braces off, they slowly weened me off. my molar bands were taken off first in one visit. then the next time i came in they took off my braces!!!! it really was a trip getting them off, i probably stared at my teeth for hours the next few days. i now have the clear plastic retainers and was told to wear them full time (off when im drinking or eating of course). check up appointment post braces will be in may 2023!! tldr; i am so happy with my teeth. the office does get busy but the staff is friendly and accommodating. they really try their best and put in some effort i went to 3 other offices for consultations and went with dr chiang based on price and the option of wearing clear ceramic braces on BOTH top and bottom teeth. read more

We have never had a chance to see Dr. Chiang because the staff MESSED IT UP TWICE for our appointments. We scheduled the first appointment last December on the phone, and when we got there, they said there's no record for our appt. So we had to reschedule the second one. We live far away and have to drive 1hr to see the doctor. We then booked the second appt which is one month later. Today we went to the office on time, but they were delayed. After filling with a long form and waiting for additional 30 mins, a lady suddenly told us we won't see Dr. Chiang because he's out of town. And we will see a temporary doctor. We're very unhappy because in our appt we clearly mentioned we want to do Orthodontics by Dr.Chiang. If Dr. Chiang is not available, why nobody called us to reschedule? Then the lady said: We think the new patients may want to see the other doctor, not necessarily needs to be Dr. Chiang. Seriously? The info clearly mentions Dr.Chiang owns the clinic and he's the only doctor. So who will come here and expect to see another doctor? And since we already told the staff, the app is about Orthodontics which require 1-2 years process, what's the point to see a doctor who only stay here in several days, especially we clearly mentioned we want to see Dr. Chiang. Ironically, the staff don't even think about calling us to let us know? What makes the staff think they can make the decision for me, that I can just see the other doctor, WITHOUT ASKING ME???? The staff has a one-month timeframe to call me and reschedule, but nobody even thinks about doing it. And no one thinks about telling me before asking me to fill out the form and let us wait for another 30 mins? I never see a clinic being so disrespectful to patients. I would never come to this place because the staffs are so irresponsible and unprofessional. == Dr. Chiang emailed me in the next morning to apologize. But he thought we decided to leave is due to the assistant and the covering doctor not speaking Mandarin. In fact, we have no idea if the other doctor can speak Mandarin and that's not related to our complaints at all. Apparently his staff didn't even tell him the truth. I ask tons of questions and the doctor and nurse were all really nice and willing to spend time. The front desk ladies were super nice too. I had a reschedule once and the front lady was really nice and accommodate my schedule. My only negative experience was that one of the older assistant was a bit rough when I was there to take photos if my teeth prior to the braces. I told her that the plastic wrap is scratching my gum and she said "just bear with it, you want pretty teeth right?" Yes, the Dr. is nice, but in a very passive way. The office space is nice but not enough chairs. It's awkward standing or people standing, they have a whole empty wall for more seating and it's not being utilized. They over book so you are waiting at least a half hour or more. THE STAFF..... NOT friendly at all. There are a couple who are ok, but they are not always there. They don't greet the kids or their parents. I really dislike going there. Also, it's like a drive through ortho. Could have went to western dental if that's the case. The dr barely looks at you. When I had braces the dr was the one who did the most. This dr goes down the row and the unfriendly staff does the work, but it's not the best. Had to go back a few times because things were not done properly. Why all the 5 stars you ask? Well they use to do a reward system and if you gave 5 stars on yelp it would earn you some coins. Don't be bamboozled like I was. Had people been honest on here instead of greedy for coins I probably would not have came here. The process has been really slow. My child has had braces on for over a year and not much, and I'm not exaggerating here, not much has changed. If this place is going to serve more Peds then they should have staff that can communicate or work with the pediatric population. read more

Small waiting area. They book pts to close in time slots, that the waiting area is always full of ppl. They only have about 6 chairs in the waiting area. It's always stressful walking in and seeing pts either standing or seating. They definitely need to invest in a bigger waiting room or not book pts to close together. I love Dr.chiang and his staff. My daughter has been coming here often for her braces and her teeth have dramatically changed for the better.
