I had a deeply disappointing experience with this office after returning for follow-up care. Despite being a returning patient, my family was treated with rigid policies that weren't explained upfront, and we were denied flexibility that other patients seem to receive. My son was told to "go somewhere else" after simply asking for support. I don't feel comfortable sharing the full situation publicly, but I will say this: if you're a working-class family or going through any kind of financial reset, be cautious. The energy changed as soon as we asked questions and stood up for ourselves. We won't be returning. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Nguyen some years back and somehow forgot to leave a review; I just saw the staff for the first time since then to get a new retainer and that jogged my memory to leave this review. My case was complicated due to jaw surgery being required in the middle of treatment. So I was a patient for a LONG time (which I knew in advance). Dr. Nguyen and all the staff were consistently outstanding; if anyone could make going to the orthodontist tolerable for a slightly dental-adverse adult, these folks passed with flying colors. Great competence with a sense of humor. Nothing like a proper bite, straight teeth, and a nice smile for the first time in my adult life. Shout outs to Nelia and Karina (and Sam -- go Warriors!). read more

Dr. Vinh Nguyen and his team including Karina and Nelia provide exceptional care! Very effective treatment and care, efficient, organized, excellent communication. Very compassionate and helpful. Had an issue come up after hours and received really excellent care and were added onto the early morning schedule the next day. read more

19 Months later made million dollar smile. Thank you Dr. Nguyen & team for all the love, support and professionalism throughout this last year and a half. The braces treatment is affordable and they will help you work out your payments. I have grown to love this team, they have such a fun dynamic and professionalism. Anytime I had an issue with my braces I was able to get help immediately without trouble. They made sure I was comfortable and my needs were met. They communicate very well in regards to how the treatment is coming along or what is currently going on with my session. I always felt welcomed and well informed. I feel amazing and filled with confidence with my new smile and I have this awesome team to thank for that. I recommend this orthodontics for all ages. My mother, my younger brother and myself have worked with this team over the years. read more

Excellent orthodontist! Dr. Vinh is so nice and excellent in his work. My 8 year old daughter is currently being treated by him, it's an 18 month long process. He is doing a very through job, the progress has been amazing and her teeth are looking great. On top of that, he is kind, always available to answer questions, explain the treatment, including any follow up questions or issues that arise after the visit. All his office staff has been wonderful as well. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely go back to him if we ever need an orthodontist again. read more

Dr. Nguyen is a kind and excellent orthodontist. His staff are also great and friendly! My two daughters had their teeth treated by him a few years ago. My eldest daughter went through Invisalign and my youngest had traditional wire braces. Dr. Nguyen evaluated both situations and determined the best course of action for treatment. He's attentive and always takes time to explain everything thoroughly. Both of my daughters had excellent results and we are very happy. We still return to this office to get retainer replacements. I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen for your orthodontic needs. read more

Disclaimer: never go for invisalign treatment to a regular dentist, find an experienced orthodontist. I started my Invisalign treatment with a dentist that was certified for it. It wasn't as much for the esthetics as to correct my bite. Near the end of my treatment, I had many doubts about the result and went for a consultation with Dr Ngueng (thanks yelp!). As I feared, the treatment I started treatment wasn't going to get me the correct bite. So I "relocated" to Sunnyvale Orthodontics and many months later I finally have a good bite, yay! I just wish that I didn't remove my perfectly healthy "extra" teeth when I was a kid or that after removing my wisdom teeth someone would tell me that I'll need to wear a retainer so that my teeth would stay in place. But I am happy that today my kids have other options rather than extraction to have a healthy smile. And the team at Sunnyvale orthodontics works hard to make sure they will smile with confidence. Dr. Nguyen is knowledgeable and is very polite. He takes time to talk about options available, the pros and cons of each method. He answers questions very thoroughly and seems to value every patient; never pushy or dismissive. All the staff at this office are great. Always have a smile on their face and always eager to make sure my needs are met. You're not just "another patient" to them, and it shows. Would recommend this office to anyone who needs this service. Thank you to the entire team! read more

I can't tell you how happy I am to be Dr. Nguyen's patient. A few days ago he took my braces off and since then I can't stop smiling. I can't pass by any mirror without looking at my straight teeth.  I want to thank all the team of Dr. Nguyen office. Nelia, thank you for reacting to all my schedule requests so fast and for all the reminders you've sent me. Thank you Sam for being always  so friendly and attentive. Karina, thank you for the attention and care you gave me and also for our conversations and your suggestions, they really helped me.  I did not meet much you Fran, but I am sure you are doing a great job, too. And finally a huge thank you, Dr. Nguyen. You added a broad smile to my life and made me feel beautiful. read more

Dr. Nguyen and his entire staff are AMAZING!! I was supposed to have my braces on for 18-24 months, and ended up with a beautiful smile at only 15 months!! I am extremely happy with my new smile. The entire process was smooth and fast - I couldn't believe how fast 15 months flew by thanks to the entire crew at Sunnyvale Orthodontics. Everyone there is super knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming! They also do cute, fun games at the office for their patients, where you can win awesome prizes! I would definitely recommend Dr. Nguyen/Sunnyvale Orthodontics to anyone looking for a beautiful smile. A perfect smile = major confidence boost!! Thank you so much, Dr. Nguyen! 5 stars through and through! read more

3.5 Stars. Added to "Braces Suck But Someone's Gotta Do It" list: http://www.yelp.com/list/braces-suck-but-someones-gotta-do-it-sunnyvale As stated in all of my orthodontist yelp reviews, yes, I had the chance to get braces when I was younger. No, I didn't listen to my parents. I was too self-absorbed and too worried that braces would make me look "ugly" and "nerdy". Fast forward 10 years and I'm back where I started. Except this time, I'm financing it on my own. Had I known this back then, I would have stuck on those metal brackets myself. Hey, I hear braces are in this year. At least that's what I tell myself :( Dr. Aubert was the 2nd orthodontist I consulted with. I found her through Yelp and this is where Yelp did not go wrong. However, all these awesome reviews for Dr. Aubert are missing one major factor: PRICE. Now that I'm making my own money, it was time to figure out my flex spending account. All you kids, stop reading now. I'll wait. Anyways, I ended up maxing my FSA, thinking I wouldn't spend all of it on braces. I was wrong. Let me start off my saying that getting a consultation with Dr. Aubert was easy and the receptionist was super flexible, offering me possible dates/times. When I finally went to my consultation (...10 minutes late. Sorry), I was greeted by the same friendly receptionist. The office was the smallest one I encountered (read: no coffee bar). This also made things a little less private. So when I finally went to the back for my consultation, it was pretty cramped. Went through the normal consultation, took pictures of my face, teeth, profile, etc. Finally, I met Dr. Aubert. She was really nice, knowledgeable and French. Not like that matters but think of it as a Fun Fact. I asked her about Invisalign and she explained to me why she would not recommend me Invisalign. She was really thorough and I was really comfortable around her. In fact, I really liked her. Here are the nitty-gritty details (priced without my insurance deduction): - Recommended Treatment: Braces for 18 months - Price: $6500.00 - Includes: braces only. - Does NOT include: Study Models (additional $110), Complete X-Rays ($250), The Consultation ($226.00 and Replacement Retainers AFTER 6 months ($260 each). Additional fees will charged for broken appliances too. Didn't outline payment options but I'm sure she has some. I didn't like that how the pricing was laid out. I prefer one lump fee that includes X, Y, and Z. Also, she is only open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. I decided not to go with Dr. Aubert because of her limited schedule and her pricing. However, if she was open more often and if her price included more, I would have chosen her. ONWARD! read more

I'm so thankful that I found Sunnyvale Orthodontics and it's been a wonderful experience. Dr Nguyen and his staffs are truth worthy so I highly recommend them to you all who need braces! Dr. Aubert and staff are awesome! She was referred to us by our dentist. They are both in Sunnyvale and we live in Evergreen but it was worth the drive. My twins have beautiful smiles and never minded going there because of their wonderful staff and Dr. Aubert herself. They are a knowledgeable and wonderful team that I would recommend without reservation even if it means driving 20 plus miles to go there! I have heard many horror stories from other parents about Orthodontists rushing to put braces on with the end result of them going on and taken off too early and then having to be put on again. Dr. Aubert worked with us for over 3 years before the decision was made to put their braces on and it was worth the wait. read more

Ridiculous. Being charged 35$ for a broken braket after over 15,000$ spent on treatment. Highly dissapointed.

Ok--how do you pick an orthodontist? Ask your friends...maybe your Dentist? Well, if you are on the fence all I can add is that I have 3 boys who have been a part of Sunnyvale Ortho since--FOREVER! But I say that as the most fantastic compliment I can make to Dr. Nguyen and his team of amazing professionals. My boys (2 who have completed treatment and one still sporting a brace face) had a great experience through the referrals for oral surgery procedures, collaborative fixes with our dentist and brushing "suggestions" required to ensure that my teenagers graduated braces with smiles that exceeded my expectations. Wonderful, wonderful place that I cannot recommend highly enough in this review!!!! read more

We started at this office with Dr. Aubert 14 years ago. She did my older two kid's braces and we absolutely loved her. Needless to say when it was time for kid number 3 we were a little worried that she would be treated by Dr. Nguyen. Well, we had absolutely nothing to worry about! He is equally as patient and knowledgable. She just got her braces off today and looks amazing! Kid number 4 is 6 months in to his treatment which is no small feat as he has special needs including sensory issues - so braces were a big concern. Dr. Nguyen is wonderful with him, understands when things are or might be a problem. When this happens he has a work around. My son never leaves my side when we are out and he willingly heads back for his checkups without me! The office staff is equally as wonderful! read more

Sunnyvale Orthodontics - No braces! Thank you Dr. Nguyen! - Orthodontists Near Me - Sunnyvale, California

Dr. Nguyen is one of the best dentist I have had in all my years of going to different dentistry. I have to thank Judy Preefer from Dr. licking's office for refer me to Dr. Nguyen. Dr. Nguyen is very tentative and he actually cares about his patience rather than trying to suck every penny out of his patient as he can. Money comes and go but when you have dentist who actually care and take the time to listen to their patient is rare, and because of that, I will refer many of my friends and family members to Dr. Nguyen. I have already referred my boyfriend and I haven't even started my treatment yet. After hearing what Dr. Nguyen had to say my boyfriend also decided to go with Dr. Nguyen. Although I feel like I should get a referral discount for referring my boyfriend hahaha read more

I have two kids who had treatment two times each at Sunnyvale Orthodontics. After wearing expanders, a thumb-sucking prevention device, neckgear, rubberbands, etc., they now have beautiful-looking teeth! The entire staff was always very friendly, explained everything in a way we could understand, answered all of our questions, and were very accommodating when it came to scheduling. We have received night-time calls from Dr. Nguyen to check on our child the day they received their braces. Once, Karina even met us on the weekend to take care of an orthodontic emergency. Nelia always greets us with a friendly "hello" when we enter the office. The office communicates with your insurance, as well as your dentist. Their pricing is comparable to other practices in the Sunnyvale area. Since we had two children, we received a family discount. They have different payment options as well. They always finished treatment within the original projected timeframe. They also offer Invisalign. I would definitely recommend Dr. Nguyen for your orthodontic needs. read more

3 stars is nothing to sniff at as this place is pretty good! I brought my son in earlier this week for a free consultation. Taking into consideration that I basically sprung the OH YA - your getting braces :D on my son at the last minute - we both felt "comfortable". Dr Nguyen & the administration/ office were all very nice. We were seen right away given the fact that we might have been a few minutes late due to a mix up on the location (BTW - its NOT in the safeway plaza, but behind it). The Dr did a quick but thorough examination, put up w/ my quirky sense of humor & explained the pretty cool dental graphics of what teeth can look like before & after braces & actually took the time to answer all of our questions. He & the made my son at ease w/ not only what was going to be required, but the process & the alternatives. & honestly, thats the most important thing to me. Cost - OMG braces have gotten SO DAYUM EXPENSIVE over the past 25 yrs!!! Now if i can just figure out how to pay for these things w/o having to take a 2nd loan out on the house! We have one other Dr to see before we make our final decision, but so far - this place is pretty good. read more

We started our orthodontic journey with Dr. Aubert 8 years ago with our eldest son and have never regretted a single moment. We have continued coming for each child and into phase two (since some people under the age of 18 seem to think retainers are optional). I would highly recommend getting your orthodontic work done here! read more

Dr. Nguyen is a fantastic orthodontist and I really feel comfortable around him and his staff!

They say a persons smile is the first thing they notice. Well two years ago my smile wasn't the best smile. I had poor dental hygiene. Also I had gotten into an accident were my teeth looked awful. I want to thank Dr. Nguyen and his amazing team for setting up a successful treatment plan. After the long wait with having to deal with braces it all payed off. I still can't believe how good my smile looks. I feel like a new person. I was going through some difficult times in my life throughout the treatment. Dr. Nguyen helped me out in many ways. I look up to him for being very professional and always cheering me up. Thanks for bringing light back into my life! read more

Dr. Aubert and her staff represent the epitome of how a business should be run. First, the doctor herself is very professional, competent, diligent, caring, and friendly. Second, all of her staff - all - share the same qualities as the doctor. Finally, the office is among the most up-to-date that I've seen, using email for communication and confirmation of appointment. Every appointment or contact with her and her office could not have been better. I may sound easy to please but I'm not. Dr. Aubert really is that good! read more

Great place, got my braces there and the people that work there are very friendly and very nice

I had to get braces for a second time, and Dr. Aubert helped my parents and I understand exactly what they were going to do to fix my messed up teeth and how long it was going to take. They do such a good job & I couldn't be happier with my smile. Yes- it's pricey, but it's worth it in the end. My favorite part of coming in for my appts was the connection I created with the dental assistants over my time coming here. They're so friendly and always remember your name & ask how you're doing. I love how they create a relationship with their patients & treat you like family---not just a random patient who forgets who you are each time. I love all of them! Nelia & Karina are my favorites---they're so sweet! I recommend this office to everyone. read more

Dr. Aubert, along with everybody in her office, is simply fantastic. My dentist recommended her to me for invisalign, and having been to an orthodontist extensively when I was a child, I wasn't exactly looking forward to it. But Dr. Aubert made me feel very comfortable. The invisalign process did exactly what I wanted, she was knowledgeable and explained the everything to me thoroughly. I'm only wearing my retainers at night now, and my teeth still look brilliant. I'd recommend her to anybody who wants invisalign to correct teeth that have shifted since previous orthodontic work. read more
