Larson was amazing and then retired. The new orthodontist took over and I feel I was ripped off. Larson said the problem was an easy fix, the new orthodontist recommended several phases of work, I took my child to another orthodontist and was told the retainer given would never work as all her baby teeth had not come out yet. The teeth were shifting because of space created when losing a tooth. She wanted to use Invisalign on another child. We took her to another orthodontist who said Invisalign would not fix the problem. This makes me wonder if more money is made from Invisalign? Get a second opinion and don't blindly trust the new orthodontist. read more

I came in for an examination to see if I needed braces. From start to finish, the front desk help was super sweet and helpful, and Dr. Larson was very informative with the options of treatment. With a simple consultation I felt more confident going back to get my teeth worked on by Dr. Stephen Larson. Today October 16th 2017, I got my braces off. I'll be 50 on Halloween the end of the month and I'm really excited that this is done. I mention my age because if you're putting off getting braces because you're older, just letting you know you're in good company. I've never had my bottom teeth get to be so straight in my life. Except of course back when I was a teenager...before my wisdom teeth came in like a wrecking ball made everything go out of whack. I'm going to see if I can upload the picture showing the difference. There was one tooth and particular in the middle that was so crooked, you might be able to make that out. Dr. Larson his staff are all very kind people and they are perfectionist. I was referred to Dr. Larson to replace a bonded permanent retainer with a broken wire. When he was removing the permanent retainer, he drilled through the enamel of two teeth and created pulp exposures. I experienced pain for weeks and had to spend several thousand dollars on restorative dentistry to repair the botched work. Would not recommend. read more

I cannot believe that it has been over 9 years since I walked into Dr. Larson's Office for the first time. During these years, two of my daughters have gotten their braces completed and we cannot be more happier with their now amazingly beautiful teeth! Everyone at the office is so wonderful and thoughtful, they always work hard to make appointments fit with our busy schedule. Myla the office manager is just delightful! When both my daughters had broken bracket/wire and needed emergency appointment, Dr. Larson would meet us during his day off! He and his staff truly cares about their patients and they don't take any short cuts! Today my 12yr old daughter is starting her treatment, yes because I won't go anywhere else for braces. EDITED REVIEW: I'm updating this as I found out more personal issues as to what really happened that led me to give a 2-star review. My previous review stated that Dr. Larson didn't remove my baby teeth when I was with him at 10-14 years old. Failure to remove them at a young age wouldn't let adult teeth grow; eventually the baby teeth would fall out, having no root beneath them for support. This implies that now I have to get dental implants, which costs a lot, as opposed to removing the baby teeth early for the adult teeth to grow. I had to see other dentists/surgeons for my wisdom teeth, who also pointed out the issues with my baby teeth whenever they took my x-rays. They all wondered why my orthodontist (Dr. Larson) never did anything about the baby teeth I had, which upset me and led me to believe he was irresponsible. Dr. Larson indeed let my parents know about my wisdom and baby teeth. I very recently found a referral slip to me for a visit with an oral & maxillofacial surgeon, given to my parents, with the notations for such teeth. My parents didn't inform me about the slip nor take me to visit that doctor. I now shift the lack of responsibility to my parents. Looking back on this review, I was furious with Dr. Larson's apparent carelessness. Not to mention, I was irritated with being passed around from one doctor to another, charging me hundreds of dollars worth of consultation visits, and doing nothing (until one excellent surgeon did everything within 2-3 weeks). Thus, I had a lot of negative emotions when writing the review. I'd like to be very clear: Dr. Larson and his team were great. Evidently from the slip, Dr. Larson was not irresponsible. I was deeply mistaken and shouldn't have been too harsh on this review. I apologize sincerely to Dr. Larson and his team. My parents didn't take this issue as seriously as they should've. While they might've been better informed on the importance of handling this earlier than sooner, I can't blame Dr. Larson. I'll be glad to recommend him to anyone for his help. read more

I just recently got my braces off and my results were amazing. I am so happy! To begin with I was a very difficult case with an over bight, and very crooked teeth. Dr. Larson provided a detailed treatment plan and what I could expect in term of my results. Wilma and the rest of the team are very friendly and personable. I actually look forward to my appointments and chit chatting with Dr. Larson. He is super nice and has a great sense of humor. Now that my braces are off I am wearing aligners as part of my treatment plan for minor adjustments. All I can say is Dr. Larson is a perfectionist with years of experience and I attribute my beautiful smile to his expertise. My results were beyond my expectations. Dr. Larson is a GREAT Orthodontist!!! I went to him in the 90's and he gave me the most BEAUTIFUL smile ever. I was bad with my lower retainer and had to have MANY replacements, and eventually stopped wearing them. YEARS later I found my bottom retainer and brought it to Dr. Larson and he fixed it for me and they started to straighten again. But of course I LOST it again and decided to get my bottom braces again. I got the clear braces and no one even noticed that I had braces . A short 6 months later my bottom teeth are straight and now match my top teeth which are STILL straight 21yrs later. I had braces from 1995-1999. My bottom braces were on for 4 years and my top were on for 3 years. Yes, my teeth were straight after the first year having braces, although my treatment was to have them on longer. (Im sure for good reasons) It has been almost 15 years since my braces came off... my smile is as amazing as it was in 1999 when the braces came off! I do have a built in bottom retainer, which is still awesome to this day! I was given a retainer for my top teeth that looks like the invisiline, but I swapped it for an old school metal one. I found the metal one easier to keep in my mouth. I wore my top retainer off and on for 6 months, and then I just went on with life without it. My teeth haven't moved. I get compliments on my smile all the time. Dentists are astonished and compliment me too! I couldn't be happier with my results. My before and after pic was up on the wall in the lobby for a while too! Maybe there is room for a 15 year later pic? ;) I would definitely recommend Dr. Larson! Dr. Larson and his staff are awesome, especially Myla and Jose! I couldn't be happier with my son's orthodontic experience. Everyone at Dr. Larson's office is genuinely friendly and pleasant. Also, I was always able to make an appointment when I needed to and I felt like my son was definitely a priority to the doctor and his assistants. Here are some of my favorite things: 1. The waiting room is warm and cozy, with complimentary bottles of water. 2. We've only had to wait 5 minutes tops to see Dr. Larson for an appointment in the past two years. 3. There are flat screens and high tech equipment all over her office. 4. My son won a gift card to Best Buy for being 'patient of the month'! Great incentive for kids to stick with the program, ie. not eating sticky foods, wearing your head gear/rubberbands and brushing thoroughly. Dr. Larson and his staff went above and beyond to make sure my son was physically comfortable as well as satisfied with his treatment. Dr Larson is my best and favorite doctor ever :) as well as his staff. Two years ago I have decided to straighten my teeth. I visited a few other doctors who got me scared telling me how they would pull out my molars, but when I met Dr Larson he was honest and nice with me. He promised me he won't remove any teeth out of my mouth and he will make my smile look stunning. Here we are, close to the end my orthodontic treatment and I have fantastic results. Great place . I was referred here by my general dentist to start treatment and i was impressed on how professional the office was. Very clean, beautifully decorated, and modern. The entire staff was wonderful- they offered you water,etc. Myla , the treatment coordinator , was incredibly helpful as she explained what exactly would be happening. The doctor was also very nice and helpful. I did feel as though he was a bit rushed, which is understandable given she had many patients outside(because this office is that good!) Both of my siblings have been going here for about 2 years now and when I lost my retainer, they squeezed me in for a super last minute appointment and was even able to get me my retainer a few days later (I don't live anywhere near here and was in town for a short amount of time and they were able to expedite everything for me). My daughter and son are both patients of his. Dr. Larson is experienced and professional and honest. My daughter had her braces off more than 5 years ago and when the metal wire holding the lower teeth came unglued, allowing the teeth to move, they fixed it without question with Invisalign. My son is undergoing Phase 1 treatment and the front teeth look beautiful. However, since he's a perfectionist, Dr. Larson removed the braces as promised but is using Invisalign to get one tooth exactly where he wants it to go. He won't compromise the end results and would never tell you what you want to hear just to get your business. BEWARE!!! Do not believe the hype on the reviews. I did and I have been regretting it for several years now. Not only does his staff not do whatever they can to get you in if something breaks, which it always does....??? But if you need to reschedule your appointment they want to put you out another 3-4 weeks? That is NOT ok!!! He is currently working on my daughter which is very obvious that he does not care about her at all. I don't care what he thinks of me but my daughter should matter. Her teeth look horrible (they are leaning inside her mouth instead of coming straight down) which is now causing a lisp that she never had before. Keep in mind she has been in treatment since the summer of 2011, its now the summer of 2013. She should be done!! Another thing that happened here which needs to be told because I want people to be warned, I do not want anyone to have to go through what I did with this man. I am an adult and wanted to get my teeth looked at and possibly straightened if able. Figured it was worth a shot looking into since I have insurance that would cover it. He advises that I get a retainer and promises he can move the few teeth around that needed to. After 4 months of treatment, nothing was really happening so I scheduled a meeting to talk to him about it since now they wanted to charge me $68 every time I came in for an adjustment. I only had 4 of them and nothing was working, why would I have to start paying till things were moved appropriately? So we meet and he looks at my teeth and basically tells me there is nothing he can do and seemed upset saying it and said he would give me my money back and stormed out of the room!? He didn't have to do all that, he could have just finished the treatment or at least a couple more adjustments. There was no need to just drop the ball on me. Now I have a retainer that I have to wear every night because if I don't my teeth will move since we already started treating them and loosening them up and moving them around. Its a nightmare!!! Needless to say I don't even want to deal with him because he is a short tempered man. Please also note that he doesn't do any work on his patients - he has his assistants do it. Probably why things are always breaking and falling off my daughters braces for the last 3 years! Every single month! Also PLEASE read your contract, they will be sneaky and make you believe things are a certain way which they are not. Time will come and they will all of a sudden start charging you for things, even an extra year of treatment! :-O I am fed up with this office! BEWARE!!!!!!! read more
