They just opened two weeks ago but everything is great. They have work out sessions coached by their trainers and the program changes everyday. So you won't ever get bored with the same routine. With that said, they really work you out in here! Last night was the first time i joined their session for 30 minutes, when we were done i was really soaked with sweat, i felt like i was about to throw up, and my arms feels like it was about to fall off. The Trainers really push you during the class, and that is a good thing if you really are decided to stay fit. I feel good this morning though. My body feels lighter and i am not as sore as i expected to be. The owner is a good friend of mine and is also one of the owner of the nearby Gabucan Dental Clinic. Great guy and funny as hell. I tried to join another boxing gym even before they opened this one, i've searched and found some places in san jose but it's hella expensive. they charge like $180 per month. Milpitas Boxing Fitness only charges half of what other boxing gyms charge. If you guys wanna try it out, they usually do an open session on 6:30pm everyday except sundays i think. and you guys can try it out for free. Come and check it out! I will post pictures as soon as i'm done editing them lol.

I thought I would come out of hibernation and give a review where it is well deserved. My goal was to join a morning workout before heading out to work. I have tried numerous gym memberships with no results or motivation or any success. I found MBF online and decided to give it a try. I must say in the last 4 months my life has taken a huge turn in the right direction! Imagine an out of shape, obese person weighing close to 230 pounds trying out a boxing gym with no clue as to what a jab is or what goes on in a strength and conditioning workout. I was close to death the first few weeks after taking the morning bootcamp classes. The Coaches were patient, attentive and helpful along with the great support from everyone at the gym. I have lost little over 30 pounds, can keep up with the instructors and run close to 5 miles. I don't think I could have even imagined it was possible even in my wildest dreams. Long story short the workouts are never the same, they have a wide variety of classes to choose from, great rates and a friendly environment. I came in expecting to workout with a bunch of people and go on with my life but I ended up making great friends and becoming part of the MBF family. People laughed when I told them I have joined a boxing gym but look who is laughing now.

Zumba review from MJ - Cheryl is an awesome instructor! She's fun, energetic, mixes it up with not only Latin flare but also urban and hip hop style! Sometimes Kpop! She's innovative with her routines which I love, and takes special music requests. Her classes are not only great for weightless and cardio, but she incorporates light weights for toning them muscles! Highly recommended! Tuesday and Thursday 745p-845p and Saturdays 9am-10a. Come and check it out!

So when I found out about One by One Fitness , I was thrilled by the idea of having someone there to guide me in the right direction . My trainer, Eugene, has been there every step of the way to help me figure out a nutrition plan that works for me as well as a workout routine . He is not only very knowledgeable about what he is doing but he is always there to cheer me on and help me stay motivated . He has really helped me push past what I thought were my limits ! This experience has been by far one of the best one I've had. I've been training there since November of 2018 and I have already seen some extreme changes in by physical appearance but also my overall health . I've lost a total of 20 pounds so far, gained a lot of muscle and my energy levels are through the roof! I wouldn't train anywhere else . If you're looking for an amazing trainer and some challenging work outs , One by One Fitness is you're place !!!!

I wasn't working full-time yet when I first joined in March 2021 so price wise I was looking for something under $200/mo to get in 2-3x/wk. I enjoyed the Tuesday/Thursdays at 8:30AM with Jenn and the crowd. It was a lively course and no matter how challenging the workout was, the group would enjoy a morning jog. As I progressed through the months I had the pleasure of working with Rose, Margaret, Vito, and Dwayne. All coaches hosted the class with enthusiasm and would cheer EVERYONE on. Every movement in CrossFit can be modified to accommodate injuries. OTF vs CFM I used to take OrangeTheory Fitness (OTF) courses and really enjoyed my time there. However between the franchise gym and CFM, I choose CFM for their management of new members and no show / cancellation policy. At OTF I was stressed about signing up for class on time, vs at CFM they don't oversaturate new members which gives current members priority to join the class times they want. At OTF many current members are also enrolling in classes even if they MIGHT not make it because of how saturated it is. If you don't cancel 8h before class, you have a fee. At CFM esp during evening hours you have time to decide if you will make it to class. Their cancellation policy is 3h before class. Whether it be CFM or another gym, I look forward to returning to CrossFit hopefully in the spring.

It wasn't until I moved away from the South Bay and trained at other gyms that I fully appreciated how special Smash is. While other gyms are good, they simply don't compare to the experience I had with Coach Rudi, Jose, Tristan, and the rest of the team. I also don't need to commit to any class times as this gym follows a circuit training model where a new workout starts every 3 minutes. So if you have 35 minutes in your day, just come in any time they're open. HIIT workouts are done in about 30 minutes across 9 stations (3 min per station) AND you get to relieve your stress on the punching bags! The workouts are different every day so you're not doing the same thing every time. The trainers are extremely personable, knowledgeable, energetic, and motivating! Eugene, Alma, and Drew are always keeping you on your toes and always encouraging you to do more. Without them, my workouts wouldn't be as intense or rewarding. They will show you each exercise at each station and will correct your form if needed. There are TV's at each station as well if you need a reminder of how the workout is done. They could also modify exercises if you have a limitation or injury, or even make the exercise a little more challenging. There is at least one trainer-led drill as one of the nine rounds where you actually get to work out with pads to sharpen your boxing skills. Awesome place to burn hundreds of calories in a 30 minute session! I look forward to coming in every morning!

Regardless of one's experience or comfort levels, anyone can benefit from their functional training for a better lifestyle, improved athletic performance, or simply having more fun. I am an amateur figure skater with specific athletic goals in mind when it comes to finding trainers, and 3FIT really stood out. When working with trainers, I hope for not only someone to keep me on track, but also someone I can learn from. The 3FIT team checks all the boxes. Marcel is very professional. He configures the gym in a way that any workout can be performed (be it fun or draining), and always keeps the clients' interests in mind by offering training advice, customizing programs, and providing a wide range of interesting group classes that welcome everyone to join. My main trainer, Smitha, further widens my horizons for training. Her background in yoga has helped me improve my flexibility and strength all at the same time. It's also the first time I've had a female trainer with whom I can comfortably discuss health concerns and receive advice and support. I would have continued to train here for the long term had I not had to relocate elsewhere. In short, if you have specific fitness goals like myself, definitely check this place out. Even for someone just starting out, 3FIT is perhaps the most welcoming and accommodating training space one could find. When I tried booking it through the app, I selected it on the drop menu, but for some reason it didn't put it for me. I did pay a reduced fee, but I would think that it would know that it was my first time and automatically sign me up for it. When I got there, the instructor told me I had to pay for the socks, but I could email the manager to see if I could get a reimbursement. So the class and socks ended up costing me 40 bucks (18 for socks). For some reason the label said $14, but I was charged 18. Not sure why. First impressions - The instructor seemed nice, but the intro was literally 5 minutes long and then you were on your own. When I started at orange theory, the coach constantly checked in on me to see if I was okay and that made me feel better about starting a new workout. Honestly, I felt like a fish out of water. I had to keep looking at the other girls next to me to see what to do because the instructor was throwing out instructions and unfamiliar terms to me at the speed of light. Also, I could tell the handle bar slack was uneven, but after my friend mentioned that hers was too to the instructor, she said "oh" and that was it so I didn't speak up either. The workout - Man, this burns so good. I thought I would be prepared for it with a year of Orange Theory under my belt, but my body was not ready for it. I can see why it's such a good workout. My legs were still shaking 30 minutes after. I would be up for another class in the future. Just need more exposure to the terminology. Overall it was a great workout. Maybe not the best for someone that is completely new to it, but you got to start somewhere.

What I really liked about this gym was the variety of classes they offer. You can try different types of workouts and figure out what you enjoy without having to commit right away. They also let you borrow gloves and other equipment for free during the trial classes, which I thought was a really nice touch. I ended up trying the HIIT and DEKA classes, which were my favorites, and most of the coaches I had were really great. Unfortunately, my experience with one of the kickboxing classes wasn't as good. I specifically asked multiple times beforehand if it was okay that I was a complete beginner, and I was told that it was totally fine. However, when I showed up, pretty much everyone else already knew what they were doing, so I naturally felt a little intimidated. I also wasn't given much guidance despite being a first-timer. What really bothered me was that the coach called me "silly" when I wasn't able to follow the instructions. I understand that a fast-paced class can be challenging for beginners, but I didn't think making fun of someone who was trying something for the first time was appropriate, and it definitely put a damper on the experience. One other thing I wish they had was a proper locker room or changing area. They have gender-neutral bathrooms, but they didn't feel clean or comfortable enough to change clothes in, especially if you're coming straight from work. I really liked the variety of classes and the generous trial period, and most of my experiences with the coaches were positive. I just wish the beginner experience was a little more welcoming and that they had a better space for changing.
