New location! Same great atmosphere and work out. Coaches are always invested in each person coming into this facility. They go out of their way to know each person and help them. I have met some great people here and made new friends. Always a great work out. I always leave feeling like a champion. Fight club !!! Let's go! I love so much here my boss decided to sponsor here!

Let me start off by saying WOW! The instructors, classes, and gear at this gym are magnificent! If you're a beginner like me, you'll start off with the beginner class. Coach Brian will teach you all the basics. He pays attention to every individual assuring their stance and form are correct. The instructors won't make you feel bad for not knowing something. You'll be encouraged to try new things! After you've taken the beginner class you're free to sign up for any session. Remember, kickboxing is mental and emotional training! Go at your own pace as long as your form is good! Tip: bring your own gloves 10/10 recommend!

This place is amazing! I've been coming here a few weeks now and every time I come in I have a great experience! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable! They are able to keep the atmosphere positive before and after class and all while training/ conditioning you! The staff does an excellent job at running the class and making rounds to everyone giving tips and positive reenforcement to everyone! The people you will meet that attend here fluctuate from beginners to guys competing in real fights. No one there has acted better than anyone! Everyone is encouraging and friendly! I highly recommend coming here and experiencing it for yourself!

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that a gym opened up much closer to where I lived. I was even more surprised by how much I have enjoyed the people that I've met (and rolled with) at Daruma. When I picked my very first gym, I passed on at least 3 different gyms because of the culture. In one of the gyms, the head coach/ professor didn't seemed involved. At another gym, I was being pushed to buy long term memberships and their expensive gi/ uniform. I never got those feelings with Daruma. Everyone has been super kind and supportive. The Milpitas location is still a relatively new (as of 2026) so some of the adult classes have a smaller turnout. This can be really good for people just starting in the sport, but I personally just like to roll. My step son also started Daruma with me and he loves it. The class structure is very fun and the coaches are really good about watching out for the kids safety. It's also been a really great experience for me and my stepson to bound over this shared activity.

Daruma Dojo originally opened in Sunnyvale, and we're so glad they expanded to Milpitas. A friend recommended this place to us, and it definitely did not disappoint. Daruma Dojo offers classes for kids/teens and adults. Adults can choose from morning or evening classes. For kids, ages 4-6 attend class from 4:30-5:30pm, while 7-15 train from 5:30-6:30, Monday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday classes are combined for ages 6-15. It's truly a family-friendly environment - so much that some parents have even joined after seeing their kids train! Membership also allows access to both Milpitas and Sunnyvale locations, though we haven't visited the Sunnyvale location yet. The front staff are friendly and welcoming, and the professors and coaches are patient and do a great job of explaining techniques in a way kids understand.

The academy is really the cleanest, nicest academy I've ever trained in. Caio even put ergonomic chairs and desks for us to study and places for families to sit. He cares about the environment very much. He even had the team create a wall after a truck drove into the academy, just to make sure that nobody missed training, which is so important for our mental and physical health. I found three academies in the area, and Gilroy Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was the closest one to my hotel. I went on their website, signed the waiver, and that same day Anthony called me to check in. I told him I was in town for two weeks for work, and he said, "Then you can just come train with us for free." That alone really impressed me. He explained how the classes were organized and let me know that Mondays were takedown-only. Since I was mainly looking to roll, he told me that Tuesday through Saturday were roll days. When I arrived, I had a little trouble finding the academy because it's tucked away upstairs inside a building. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by one of the students, who was extremely friendly. He asked if it was my first time. I told him I had been training for about four months, and he pointed me toward Anthony. I introduced myself to Anthony, and then I started stretching out. The class was exactly what I was looking for. There were a lot of students, the atmosphere was great, and Anthony provided excellent instruction. After class, I told Anthony that I was definitely coming back, but I needed to wash my gi first. He said, "Come here," took me to the back room, asked what size I wore, and when I said A4, he literally handed me a gi and said, "It's yours." I was honestly astonished. I didn't expect that at all. Anthony went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, and that gesture really showed me what kind of person and teacher he is. Anthony is a true blessing, and I'm grateful for the experience. If you're in the Gilroy area and looking for a place to train, I definitely recommend Gilroy Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. 10/10!

My girls have been going to Triune for several months now and we are thrilled with the progress…read morethey've made in jiu jitsu, as well as in their overall confidence! They are both more aware and more in control of their bodies, which was a big deal for my older girl, as she sprouted quickly and lost her confidence and her ability to control her new body in the same way that she had when she was younger. Learning the specific skills, as well as getting great coaching, meeting new friends and having fun has been a major confidence booster for both of my girls! They love coming each day and even continue practicing with their dad at home on new skills they are perfecting. They love sparring with their peers at different levels of skill and push themselves to improve daily. Triune has been a major positive influence to their confidence, their listening skills, and their attitudes towards everything! They absolutely love coming daily and plan to continue working towards more advancement. The coaches are phenomenal and pay special attention with the smaller ones and make sure the kids are pushed, but safely and effectively, so they learn and are eager to be able to do more. Every day is different and all levels working together allows the newcomers to gain skill while the more advanced practice and learn - it's a really good set-up that I was originally unsure of, but it works! My girls get to work with more skilled kids and it pushes them to want to be better! When working with the younger, less skilled kids, mine are better able to hone their technique of the moves and more skillfully apply that knowledge when sparring. No day is the same and they get bummed when they miss a day! Triune is THE best thing I've done for my kids!! They love it and it's helping them outside class, even when they don't recognize it!! 5 STARS AND THEN SOME!!
