I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with 3FIT prompted me to write one. TL;DR: For anyone looking for a place to start some sort of training in the Bay Area, this is the place. Regardless of one's experience or comfort levels, anyone can benefit from their functional training for a better lifestyle, improved athletic performance, or simply having more fun. I am an amateur figure skater with specific athletic goals in mind when it comes to finding trainers, and 3FIT really stood out. When working with trainers, I hope for not only someone to keep me on track, but also someone I can learn from. The 3FIT team checks all the boxes. Marcel is very professional. He configures the gym in a way that any workout can be performed (be it fun or draining), and always keeps the clients' interests in mind by offering training advice, customizing programs, and providing a wide range of interesting group classes that welcome everyone to join. My main trainer, Smitha, further widens my horizons for training. Her background in yoga has helped me improve my flexibility and strength all at the same time. It's also the first time I've had a female trainer with whom I can comfortably discuss health concerns and receive advice and support. I would have continued to train here for the long term had I not had to relocate elsewhere. In short, if you have specific fitness goals like myself, definitely check this place out. Even for someone just starting out, 3FIT is perhaps the most welcoming and accommodating training space one could find. The knowledge, dedication, and client-first mindset the team has cultivated over the years can truly help everyone in their fitness journey. read more

I've been working with Smitha at 3Fit for the last several months and it's really made a difference. After an assessment she developed a personalized workout to target my specific needs. Even more important she listens when I have feedback, adjusts our workouts accordingly, and knows how to push me without it being too much. 3Fit is an amazing value for your money. The trainers are knowledgeable and professional, the atmosphere is positive and warm, and it has all the equipment you'll need for a top-notch workout. Whether you just want to get in better shape (like me), have a specific area you want to work on, or want to build muscle I highly recommend you check it out. read more

I started going for the group classes here a couple of months ago and I can't praise this place enough! I have never really been a gym person but the group classes here make me wanna keep going back. Marcel is an excellent instructor , always motivating and correcting us! The group class is not too big either giving each of us a chance to be individually focussed on while at the same time giving us a community to make it fun! And what's more , for the pickleballers, there's also weekly pickleball that 3fit regulars have set up for more fun and exercise! There's also a fun class called zombie apocalypse training which is strength and conditioning with a lot of fun! read more

Marcel and the 3fit team are knowledgeable, professional and fun trainers. I have been going to their group classes for more than a year. Before 3fit, I used to find working out boring. 3fit workouts are always different and engaging and you don't realize how the time flies. I look forward to it each time. I learned to climb a rope, climb over a wall, keep my joints flexible, do a bar hold for a minute and do my very first push-up at 3fit. The community is great and we also meet outside of the gym to play pickleball which is a lot of fun. If you haven't heard of functional fitness and want a fun workout that gets results, I highly recommend 3fit. read more

I have really enjoyed working with Matt at 3FIT as my personal trainer over the last year and a half. I joined 3FIT after taking an intro call with Marcel, and his gym stood out to me because he places a large emphasis on all of the trainers to work with clients of all fitness levels on setting realistic, achievable fitness goals. As a long distance runner, I was looking for help working on both my endurance and strength levels, so it was important for me to have a flexible training plan that would help me improve in both areas. Matt has done a great job planning each session, tracking my improvements over time, and adjusting to my energy levels when I need a lower intensity day. I go to 3FIT two mornings a week, but when a last minute meeting appears on my schedule Matt has been gracious about rescheduling to keep me on track with my fitness goals. I would recommend personal training at 3FIT with any of the coaches, especially if you're looking for a more boutique approach to training that takes your current strengths and weaknesses into consideration. One more thing I should mention - if you join you'll see a lot of Nala and Brodie, the two gym dogs that tend to hang out by the squat racks in the front. read more

It is safe to say Gwen is the best personal trainer I have worked with. She is extremely attentive, knowledgable, patient and an exceptional teacher. I was amazingly impressed with how she did the assessment and pointed out all of my problems through my movements, and told me how to train to improve them and my back conditions (I have a long history of severe back pain). We focused on all the basic techniques first, the first few sessions were all about how to engage the core and breathe right to make sure I work out safely. These are essential for all sport training, but also significantly important for people with bad back like me. Gwen's workouts are challenging but super fun to do. She always listen to how my body feels to make necessary adjustment. I have passed the period of mobility focus and now working more on the agility workouts. My back has been great, and after the first few months of moving slow, I started seeing steady results. I took a Dexa scan at the beginning to know where I was at, and now taking it every 2 months to keep track of the results. While my lean mass has increased a bit slowly, I have drop quite a good amount of fat mass, and my bone mineral is higher. If you are looking for a trainer, I highly recommend Gwen, she is a perfect match for any training needs but even more so for people with injury and training limits. read more

Been coming here with my husband every week since Feb 2023. I'm much more stronger and fit. Marcel will tailor the training based on your needs and conditions. I'm glad I made the decision to do something with my fitness health, it's something that is priceless and worth every penny! read more

My husband has been working out with Marcel for a couple of years now and I have been working out with Gwendolynne for several months. Both are experts at what they do! Gwen specializes in running, which is my primary exercise, and has helped me strengthen my core to improve my running form. I am excited to continue working with her to ensure strong, injury-free running for years to come. All of the trainers at 3Fit are knowledgeable about biomechanics and are serious about helping people get stronger, not just bulked up. No matter your level of experience or confidence, the atmosphere is positive, friendly, and welcoming. I am grateful that a friend recommended Marcel and his team to us! read more

My husband and I have been coming here for a full year now, both for personal training with Gwendolynne as well as various group classes, and we really couldn't be happier to have found 3FIT! The group classes are challenging with lots of variety and great instruction and the people attending are friendly and supportive. It's just an amazing community to be a part of. Our private training with Gwendolynne is something that we still look forward to each time, even after going twice a week for a full year. She's great to work with and also incredibly knowledgeable about anatomy and the science behind the exercises and about what is important to focus on for each client based on their current abilities, goals, and weaknesses. The other trainers we've worked with at classes are also great and each have their own style of training and areas of expertise, which is exactly what you want in a personal training facility. As far as our progress for a year's worth of training: we've both developed noticeable muscle definition and have significantly improved in our strength, form, and flexibility. Particularly in the areas where we struggled individually. We're definitely planning to keep coming here and continue with our improvements! Bonus extras: The music played during training is awesome! Ok maybe it's most awesome for those of us that grew up in the 90s but it has plenty of recent stuff on there too... but great background music that can still get you pumped if you listen to it. Marcel, the owner and one of the trainers, is a fun goofball on top of being stellar at what he does. There is cool equipment to work with that most gyms don't have, like a Treadwall and equipment for obstacle training such as a wooden wall (for training to climb over it) and hanging rings and climbing ropes. read more

Matt is my favorite personal trainer! I've been trained from Matt for longer than 1 year. He is personable, flexible with schedules (and understanding... as my schedule changes all the time for business travels), and he creates great workout plans for everyone. Not only is he a great trainer, he also gave great advices on nutritions and shared his thoughts about my lifestyles. Every week, he came prepared with new workout routines so I don't get bored with same types of exercises. I looked forward to personal training sessions every time. I highly recommend Matt!! read more

During my ClassPass trial, I was browsing classes and 3FIT's "Zombie Apocalypse Survival Training" caught my eye. It was one of the cheaper offerings and it sounded too cool, so I had to sign up. To my disappointment, the class featured no climbing over walls, crawling under barbed wire, or hand and weapon combat. Just exercises that you can do in an apocalypse setting with minimal equipment. Ok, so the class isn't sexy. But it WILL make YOU sexy. Yeah, this 1-hour class with owner Marcel totally kicked my butt. Exercises involved slam balls, resistance bands, sandbags and more. Try doing Turkish get-ups and lunges with a decently-weighted sandbag, and you'll be feeling it. There were also exercises with a partner, plus good old situps and planks. I did two classes here, and the first time my calves were sore for a week afterwards! Not kidding. I normally work out on my own at the gym, but being in this class sweating it out with others who were giving their all, really motivated me to push past the complacency zone. I could feel my body getting stronger, marginally better able to take on a zombie horde. The class size was around 20 people, small enough for Marcel to give individuals personal attention when something needed to be corrected. And me being new, my form definitely needed a lot of correction. I do multiple activities for fitness and haven't decided that ClassPass is right for me, but 3FIT would be an excellent part of my regimen. The classes are reasonably priced, and their effectiveness at beating my body into shape is undeniable. Tip: You'll probably need to rehydrate after sweating it out. Bring a water bottle, as 3FIT has a water dispenser but not disposable cups. A towel is also not a bad idea. read more

I have been training at 3Fit with Matt twice a week for the past 8 months, and the experience has been awesome. I have been to other gyms in the past, but I struggled to keep my motivation and focus due to the lack of support. However, this has never been the case at 3Fit. From the first day, I felt welcomed and a part of the community 3Fit has. Matt is very knowledgeable, super supportive and always pushes me to improve. I have seen great progress in both my strength and weight loss over the time we have been training together. He not only explains the exercises in detail but also the overall purpose behind them, so I always have a clear idea of the strategy we are taking to meet my goals. He also provides a wide variety of programs that utilise the extensive equipment set that 3Fit has. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience at 3Fit. The trainers are all very friendly and knowledgeable, and I look forward to training there for many years to come. read more

I booked the Intro to Training with Matt Gabayan which included 3 one-on-one training sessions. The first session was a diagnostic so Matt could see where I was physically and get an idea of my fitness goals. After the first 3 sessions, I continued to train with Matt and my physical health has definitely benefited from the sessions. Knowing that I have minimal workout equipment at home, Matt creates workouts that I can easily replicate outside of a gym and adds lots of variety so that the workouts don't feel monotonous. Matt also takes the time to incorporate some stretching at the end of our sessions, and has even sent great stretching videos to ensure I was taking care of my problem areas. Our training sessions are definitely the hardest workout of my week, but I feel so accomplished when I get through it. Throughout my time at 3FIT I have always felt safe regarding the COVID-19 pandemic regulations and owner Marcel did a great job at communicating any changes to safety protocols. If you are on the fence about taking classes or training at 3FIT, I highly suggest trying the Intro to Training! read more

I have been going to 3fit classes and personal training for last 1.5-2 years approximately. This is probably the first gym where I have gone consistently. For me what clicked in this gym was: knowledgeable and caring trainers and well-designed and fun workouts (be the group classes or personal training). I am so glad my girlfriend introduced me to 3fit. I highly recommend this place if you are in search for a fun place to workout where there is a lot of camaraderie, and trainers really know their stuff and are willing and able to help you individually. As the attached image says: through consistently incredible workouts, 3fit instructors help make my hour there an incredible one. Every single time! Let me speak about particular trainers, in no particular order. Max Sible has a knack for pushing you through a difficult workout, but at the same time, helping you listen to your body so you don't get injured. I have gotten a lot of help from him towards my fitness goals in his Friday morning group classes as well as personal training. In personal training, he has helped me chart a path for myself to make progress towards my long term goals (of mobility and muscle gain). If you are into full-body workout or proper form in barbell training (squats, DLs and bench press), then Aaron Gavino is your guy. He has a knack for simplifying a complex motion or exercise into 3-4 mental checklist items that you go through to do the exercise injury free. I have improved my DL by over 40 lbs (120-ish lbs to 165 lbs) since I started training with him. He is passionate about teaching and helping people workout injury-free. To this end, he suggests alternate workouts to anybody where he sees a risk for injury or who has difficultly with any specific exercises. Holly's stretching classes are restorative and fun. It is incredible how much she adjusts a class on the fly depending on who is present, and what body areas they want to work on. She has incredible knowledge and is so willing to share the what, how, and why of any exercise or training regiment. Overall, the environment in the gym is very supportive and people are willing to help with any questions you have. Such environment and great trainers together make the gym a no-brainer to go to many times a week for me. If you want to make your next hour the best one, give 3fit a try. You will not be disappointed! read more

I have been training with Matt at 3Fit for about a year. I came in with a goal of improving my upper body strength, and Matt did a great job on helping me to reach my goal. Matt is very supportive and encouraging for the whole time. He is also very knowledgeable on science of strength training. He's always happy to answer my questions and does not hesitate to pass along the knowledge he has in hands. I personally believe this is an very good quality as trainees like us at some points will need to learn how to workout by ourselves. I am really glad that I have Matt as a trainer! I have learned so much, and of course, got stronger :) read more

I trained with Alison for 3 months at the Jungle Gym class. It was a balanced mix between strength training and cardio, which was great because cardio was something that I neglected -- having cardio in a group setting with Alison's instruction really helps with motivation. The emphasis on mobility was also great, especially since I picked up rock climbing at the same time! I'm able to pull off some moves without my muscles feeling so tight. I'd recommend at least trying out this class with Alison! It was difficult at first, but it gets easier with time and I could see my own physical strength improve in just 3 months. read more

I found 3FIT through ClassPass and I haven't missed a week since I started going. I go to the group classes at 7am. They're the perfect balance between personal training and group classes. It's a great community. One of the best ways to start my day. read more

Marcel classes at 3Fit are amazing. For all age groups and body types. He makes sure you push yourself to the limit and you do it right. I was in the area for short term assignment and made sure went to all his classes while I was there definitely saw some results at the end of 8weeks. read more

I started with 3Fit back in late 2019. Before that, I have done workouts on my own through the guidance of the overwhelming amount of information (good/bad) on the internet and also various group classes with no personalization. As I entered my 30s, I found myself being stagnant in my workouts, resulting in decreased motivation to work out at all. Enter 3Fit. I started with personal training lessons with Marcel. From the first session, he really emphasized the "why" to hone in on my goals. He had me thinking deeper than "losing weight" and more along the lines of "taking care of the body now to make life easier for years to come." As an occupational therapist, I'm a big fan of the functional reasons behind the exercise programs I prescribe my patients, such as doing bicep curls to be able to carry their grandchildren. I realized that I hadn't been practicing what I preach until I joined 3Fit. Since the pandemic started, Marcel has seamlessly transitioned group classes online, and the workouts are still as effective as they were at the gym even with limited equipment! Marcel loves what he does, and it shows by how he makes every workout unique and creative. I started with attending 2 group classes a week, and now I'm up to 5 since they are so addictive, challenging, and fun! From zombie tours to quadzillas to armageddon workouts, you will never be bored. Holly also teaches a restore and recover group class weekly, and when I am able to join, my joints always thank me. This gym isn't the yell-at-you type of gym since Marcel and all the other trainers respect that when you show up, you're ready to work, and they will, in turn, help motivate you along the way. The other gym members have been very friendly with no egos or judgment, which I'm sure starts with the awesome leadership of Marcel and his team. I started with the simple goal in mind of "losing weight," but since I have been with 3Fit, I've regained my sense of playfulness and exploration with movement, which have resulted in not only better physical health but also mental/emotional health. I cannot recommend 3Fit enough! read more

I attended the Hybrid / Weird Strength class at 7am on a Wednesday through ClassPass. Marcel led the class virtually and with only me in person. I was impressed with the type of workout this class provided; as it was strength training in the form of rehabilitation. Which were targeted, unique, and lower body exercises (hips and glutes) which required slow repetitions. Marcel did a great job with correcting the form with all the attendees. He's down to Earth which made the class fun and not intimidating. His expertise and creditability was on display as he did the exercises, while reminding the group on what you need to feel. These exercises weren't the fanciest but challenging as it's strength building 101. I have a bad hip due to surgery to repair a torn labrum, so this workout was right up my alley. You know its a great workout when you feel the pain afterwards, in a good way. If you were hurt in the past and want to strengthen that area, without a doubt 3Fit is the place for you. Overall, I loved my experience. read more

3Fit is an incredible community of trainers and athletes -- it is positive, encouraging, and fun. I joined this gym two months ago and I absolutely love it -- I actually look forward to working out now. The workouts are well-designed to help you achieve overall fitness. My favorite is the Zombie Apocalypse class on Saturday morning where we workout, play some team games -- growing stronger while having fun, that's the goal. Marcel is a wonderful instructor and human being -- he explains the movements, will work with your fitness level and always cheer for your success. 3Fit has great introductory programs (https://www.my3fit.com/deals-and-swag) -- check them out and you'll see what I mean. read more

A little over three years ago, I had a big ski trip planned for December and I wanted to make sure my legs would be ready for seven days of skiing right in the beginning of the season. I researched a bunch of gyms on Yelp and ultimately started training at 3-FIT. For the past three years, I've been taking training weekly with 3FIT (Aaron, Marcel, Holly ). I feel that my skiing has been much stronger during the past three years than it has been ever before. Big thanks to the personal training and group classes I've been attending at 3-FIT. read more

I highly recommend the one on one personal training provided at 3Fit. I've been coming here once a week for two years and feel younger, stronger, healthier, and have much more energy to get through my day. Max is amazing at teaching proper form to prevent injury and motivating you to keep going. "We're power lifting 10k pounds worth of dead lifts, squats, and benches today? Um sure, I trust you. let's rock this thing!" And push a sled too? Cool beans. building up my core strength to support my frame has done wonders for alleviating the back pain I've had for years. Thanks Max! I've also recently been working out with Holly who has helped me tremendously with my shoulder injury from a bicycle crash. She is extremely knowledgeable about how to isolate specific muscles to help build them up. 6 weeks later and I no longer need to attend any more physical therapy sessions. Holly gave me a boarder focus on flexibility, range of motion, core strength, coordination, and balance. Come to 3Fit if you want to work with true professionals who know their craft and can tailor a workout to suit your body's needs and wants. Personal training is kinda expensive, but you're worth it. And lastly, thank you Marcel for opening this gym, stocking it with cool toys, and motivating everyone to keep going. read more

I have been training with Alison for around 2 months now. It's been an amazing journey so far. My physical and mental health has improved a lot. I have been training with Alison for nearly a month now and I can already start feeling the change in my overall level of fitness. The mobility and stretching exercises they taught are very fundamental to doing any kind of sports or physical activity. The other day I tried them out before playing badminton and I definitely felt more comfortable and flexible while moving in the court. Alison pays minute attention to smallest of details so that you get your form right and don't injure yourself on the process. The day I started, I could only do 15 push-ups now I can do 60 (in sets)! In addition, Alison makes training fun, she keeps asking and inquiring about daily life and work and time flies without you realizing. It's fun to workout at 3Fit! I will 100% recommend training with Alison! read more

It's been a full week since I severely sprained my ankle from landing poorly and putting all of my weight onto my right ankle. I thought I broke my ankle, it was the worst pain I've ever felt. Initially, I thought it was a small ankle roll, but had to sit out for the rest of class. In Feb, I moved away from 24 Hour Fitness during the New Years resolutioners crowds and discovered 3Fit. I kept coming back because I really liked the instructor and could tell that Marcel really cares about his clients and his people. He ensures that everyone is with proper form, properly challenging themselves, encourages technique over macho ego, and really stresses the importance of listening to your body. I know what it's like to "push for that last rep," ultimately compromising form (which you should never ever do) and setting me back a little to re-evaluate. I learned more about fitness and can take these lessons and apply them to my own lifting regimens. Marcel has great fitness philosophies and is a fun trainer to be around. Marcel reached out to me to check in with the sprain, even in the middle of the week when I didn't give updates other than the initial ones about needing to RICE and take it easy. Most rehabilitation from injuries tend to put people back to the state they were in pre-injury, susceptible to another injury. Marcel emphasized the importance of recovering better than before to prevent that. I am very amazed and can't express enough how supportive and caring he is, he definitely cares about his job and duties. Marcel probably doesn't even see it a job since it's something he is very passionate about (talk about a millennial's dreams to never have to work a day in your life because you have the job that you care and are passionate about). Marcel really goes the "extra mile" in extending his care and concern for others. I am excited for my ankle's recovery, but will be taking it slow, and listening to my body so that I can come back stronger than ever before. If you're into fitness classes, or want a great personal trainer, I highly recommend 3Fit and Marcel! read more

Marcel and his team really care about their clients. They treat you like family and they do want the best for you and your goals with getting fit, healthy and living a happier lifestyle. While enrolled in their PT program I had taken ill and lost some of my mobility due to some unforeseen health issues. I had to quit my program. Marcel has been very supportive and understanding of my needs and has never pushed me to stay with their program. Most people wouldn't care and just keep milking you for more money even if the program does not benefit you anymore. That was not the case here. If my condition was not chronic, I would certainly stay with my journey with them forever. Not only did I feel great in just a few sessions but I got great coaching and advice as well as motivation. The PT sessions were also very fun and not too serious which made me look forward to coming in. If you are looking for a place where you can get a complete holistic approach to getting to your fitness goals. I would definitely go to 3fit. They have so many programs that can fit any lifestyle. Out of all the personal training programs I have ever been in, Marcel's team gave me the best service. I don't think any other program can top it. Thanks 3fit! I hope to see you again when I get better! read more

Are you looking for a gym to get back in shape or increase your strength? Are you new to the area and want to meet cool people? Do you like dogs? WELL THIS IS THE GYM FOR YOU!!! I initially was on ClassPass when I visited this gym back in January. Not even a month into ClassPass, I cancelled my membership right away and signed up for 3Fit. Before all of this, I was going to a free gym provided to me at Stanford and before that, paid for membership at 24 hour fitness. Those gyms had so many people, and I felt like I was doing the same things over and over again, not seeing any improvements. All the reviews before me state how awesome the trainers here are, and they're 1000% true. I honestly look forward to working out, even though I KNOW I'm gonna get my butt kicked. But hey -- Marcel brings his dog, which I pet between circuits and during water breaks. It's therapeutic. So if you've been wishy washy about working out and want to feel challenged, swing on by! read more

I literally made a yelp account just to share my 3Fit experience with you. I've been coming to 3Fit for about a year and have never had anything other than an exceedingly positive experience. Thanks, in no small part, to the guidence and knowledge of the trainiers here I hit, then exceeded, my fitness goals. I currently attend group sessions (I'd say that the zombies have no idea what's coming from them, but they're zombies... so they wouldn't really know anyway) and once every couple months I schedule a 1 on 1 personal training session to go over goals, a specific lift, a new split for weight lifting, etc - you name it. It's easy to be a beginner lifter whose ambition gets them injured early on, but thanks to the guidance I've received at 3Fit I haven't had to worry about that. Most of the other reviewers have mentioned how much 3Fit has helped them physically, so I'd like to take a second to acknowledge how much I've been helped mentally. I used to mentally punish myself when I was unable to get that last rep, or had bad form on a lift, because that's just how my brain worked. That toxic mentality has disappeared since coming here. I've learned to celebrate my small successes and, when I have a sub-par performance, learn from it and encourage myself. Not only have I been physically transformed, but I have had a long overdue mental transformation as well. I'm an average guy in my mid-30s, and like most of us, I have tried getting into shape a few times before this. It has never worked out as well or as smoothly as it has since I started coming to 3fit. I'm down ten pounds but look like I'm up 20 in all the right ways. I've stuck with this much longer than I have at any other point in my life. I haven't written anything negative in my lifting notebook since I started coming here. Plainly put, I have never seen results like I have seen since I started coming to 3Fit. Do yourself a favor and sign up for a class. Just one. Even if you never return, I promise you that you will leave that class better off than you were before it. Pictures were taken 1 year and 25 days apart. read more

I have been coming to 3FIT to see Max for personal training sessions for about 2 months now and it's definitely time to offer up a stellar review! Like most of these other Yelp reviews I came into 3FIT looking for inspiration and a change. With a wedding looming I felt it was time to get myself in better shape and to be honest, I was looking for a mental change as well. I've never enjoyed working out, running is basically the worst and every time I became out of breath or felt tired I would immediately stop. I was never able to push myself because I simply did not want to. Now I'm not going to say that a miracle happened, because that's just not the way life works. But things have definitely improved significantly and I can say that I feel stronger, I have more endurance and a more positive outlook. When I first began I told Max not to push me otherwise I would walk out the door and never come back. A pretty obnoxious thing to say I suppose but it was the truth! Think scared deer, not annoying human being. Max was incredibly supportive and honored my request until I found out he's been secretly pushing me this entire time! He managed to disguise it with his upbeat personality and fist bumps! After starting at 3FIT my outlook on exercise is definitely different. When I am presented with a physical challenge instead of thinking "I can't do that," I think "I'm not sure if I can do that but I probably can and I will definitely try!" I've learned to supplement my workouts with Max with a variety of other activities including hot yoga, running, spinning and learning to incorporate these into my daily life. I'm not going to spin this off as a 180* transformation story but it's all about the journey and 3FIT really helped set me on the right path. If you're looking for a change in your life and you're not sure how to start, 3FIT is a great place to find your inspiration and I would highly recommend Max. Thank you Max!! =) read more

Marcel and his team are fantastic. They run a variety of different HIIT workouts that change week to week, and the instructors stay engaged with the class throughout the session. I've been going for the past few months and love it. Would definitely recommend trying it out! read more

My wife and I are both really happy that we discovered 3FIT. We really enjoy the combination of elements that Marcel puts into his group classes: solid fitness science, encouragement to grow, and a fun attitude. On Saturday, the Zombie Apocalypse Survival Training (in person) group class is always challenging and creative, so I really look forward to the adventure. On Wednesday mornings, the Weird Strong (hybrid) group class has been a fantastic way for us to focus on range of motion, flexibility, and inner strength. We attend through video and Marcel is always very attentive to everyone's needs. If you're looking for a great local gym with an awesome community, 3FIT is it. read more

I came to 3fit back in June seeking guidance for losing weight and getting stronger. In the past year I had tried everything from pilates to group fitness classes, in hopes of establishing a workout routine that was effective and fun. But I ended up plateauing in pilates and injuring my knees from HIIT classes. Because of the price tag, I had never considered personal training before. But at that point, I was at a loss and decided it was time to invest in my health and make a change. I have been training with Aaron 2-3 times a week for 4 months now, and he has helped me change so much more than just the number on the scale. I am stronger, mentally and physically. I used to go on runs reluctantly, dreading the feeling of being out of breath and getting side cramps. The thought of going to the gym and working out on my own was intimidating. If someone else (or a $$ no-show fee) didn't hold me accountable, my workout routine would inevitably crumble. Aaron has helped me overcome these obstacles and fears by teaching me proper form and helping me develop a healthier, more confident mindset. Now, when I approach the bar, I do so with confidence and intent. When I head to the gym, I have a mental archive of exercises and know exactly what I'll be working on that night. And if all the racks are taken, I can improvise and do an alternative workout. Aaron is an amazing trainer who genuinely cares about his clients and takes time to get to know them and understand their goals. He's incredibly supportive, but at the same time, pushes you to break through the threshold and challenges you to do more. Joining 3fit has been one of the best investments I've ever made in myself, and I'm so grateful for everything Aaron has taught me. There are just so many wonderful things about 3fit. I could spend all day adding to this review, or you could just join and experience it for yourself read more

I have been training with Matt for about almost a year. It's been an amazing journey with my trainer(Matt) and the trainers are super supportive and makes me feel so comforty at the gym.(Don't be shy! They are so nice.) Not only for emotional support, my trainer always prepares well for my session and does his best effort (yeah. I did multiple 1:1 training in diff gym so I know what they are doing). He always makes notes and keeps track of my workout history. Based on his notes, he increases the weight, or changes some workout. The greatest thing was he always checked my body status carefully and kept watching how I'm doing positioning and correcting me in the right position for maximizing the workout effort but also it helps you to protect any injuries. If you have any questions about your trainer's workout routine, you can ask it right away and he will explain to you right away why this workout is needed. I highly recommend this place! :) read more
