Today while walking my dog around the apartments I came across many big muddy puddles from the sprinklers running for who knows how long, not only were the muddle puddles on site a deterrent as a resident but truly disappointing during such a serious drought. We recently had some viewings at Milo Apartments. They let you do a self-guided tour of the facilities and units that are available for rent. It looks like it might have some nice amenities. But, after viewing the actual apartment units, I can say it's a gross misrepresentation for this business to call themselves "luxury apartments." We were shocked to find the units were of such incredible low quality. Drawers did not line up correctly making them difficult to open and close. Kitchen cabinets' colors did not match. All the shelving from the kitchen, in the room, and the bathrooms was very cheap pressed paper. There was considerable water damage on the cheap construction in the bathrooms. There was absolutely nothing luxury about this place at all. read more

The place is clean, and I loved the apartment I looked at. The amenities are great I don't think I would use any of them. I like that there is a full-size washer and dryer. The only thing is I wish the one bedrooms were a little bigger. read more

I've lived here for about 9 month, and overall it's a great building, location and the neighbors are great too (even if some are grumpy). It's a good mix of younger and older residents and plenty of amenity too. read more

We stayed at the guest suite at The Milo and loved our experience! From the check in process with the leasing agents at the beginning, to our stay throughout the weekend, everything was perfect. The guest suite is 1 bedroom and was very spacious and super modern! Not only did the apartment feel like it could be home, but the surrounding neighborhood and all of the restaurants made this a 10/10 location. There are a ton of fun restaurants within walking distance, grocery stores nearby, and many parks to choose from for a walk. If we lived in Denver, we would definitely choose The Milo for the place to live! read more

I've lived in close to 20 apartment complexes throughout college and my adult life. Have also owned 5 properties including condos with HOAs. Milo is by far THE WORST I've ever experienced. You get charged for monthly WiFi (that is sub par) whether or not you use it, without the option of opting out. You are also charged a monthly Valet trash service which is supposed to come 6 days/week, but ROUTINELY, misses pick up numerous times per month. This has been happening for 14 months now! We as residents never get reimbursed for paying for a service that not only is terrible, but that is forced upon us. Hot tub is always out of service, same doors always need repair, exit signs missing, community kids sneak into pool, and the majority of the time the main front door doesn't lock and is open! As a single person residing on the first floor this is unacceptable. The ONLY reason I renewed my lease is bc I had just moved from cross country the year prior. I will for sure be looking for a new place asap and would never consider renewing. Yea the units are gorgeous, but the terrible management, always increasing rent/pet rent/parking/and services that are forced upon us that are subpar, is not ok. Residents don't follow rules, leave their trash in the halls for days, pound on the floors, leave empty boxes in the mailroom for others to pick up, leave dogs on their balconies barking for hours, dog poop all over not picked up. Oh and cars can plug in to "keep warm" during the winter, but don't charge your EV in an outlet because you will get a lease violation because they want you to use the paid chargers so they can make money on you. Why would you even do that when you can use the free charging stations on the 2nd floor for 9 + Co? And then they come up with reserved parking spots for double the price to make even more money off residents yet for over a year cannot fix the ongoing issues with the trash valet, hot tub constantly out of service, etc. Again, gorgeous units, but under terrible management. read more

What a gorgeous community with upgraded apartments. The location is amazing. Close to shopping centers and a great 5 star coffee spot within walking distance. My husband and I love that the amenities are centrally located. Even in the winter, the hot tub was a great spot to take our toddler! If you drive an electric vehicle there is a charging station right near the building. Super convenient! The staff is very friendly and I love that they know me by name when I come to the office. The word "luxury" has no place at Milo. The 2 main elevators in the parking garage (that go to all floors) have been fully or completely broken since I moved here 2 yrs ago. 1 of the 2 doors has been broken for roughly 4 months and Milo says it's the vendors fault and they just can get the part. Like there is only 1 vendor on earth they can buy from. Same thing with the hot tub. Broken for months and they just cant find that part- it's the vendors fault. Again, I suspect they could spend some money and get it elsewhere, but pinching pennies is the priority. Everything is CONSTANTLY broken, from the key fab system (you can't get onto the property while its -5 degrees outside and snowing), to the gym equipment, to the pool and hot tub, tot he filters on the water fountains, to the internal & external elevators, to the gate in the garage (which you pay to park in). They also let people party late into the night in common spaces with no consequences, and they let people smoke despite it being a smoke free community. I'm talking DJ with subwoofers at 12am and there's nothing to stop it unless you, the resident, intervene. I say "they let" because no one enforces the rules, so the rule breakers don't care. They advertise "24/7 security," but there is no one here 24/7, it's a poorly managed hotline. I've called it 3 times; 1 was a busy signal all night; 1 was a conversation and a 3hr response time; 1 was a good conversation but a 1.75 hr response time. Trust me when I say, there is no "24/7" security here. Milo may be the only business on planet earth who takes 6 months to update a simple key fab system. It's a matter of fact that if you spend the right amount of money and sign good contracts, that this could be done over the weekend (if you have a good vendor). Again with penny pinching. Because of this horrendous technology deployment, the exterior doors are always broken (a weekly occurrence) and therefore propped open, allowing anyone access to our community. The "gated parking" you pay $50 to $150 per month for has been useless the entire time I've lived here, because the gate is broken 50% of the time, and the other 50% there's been construction. Cars are getting broken into because of this easy access. My dishwasher broke, and it took maintenance an ENTIRE MONTH to fix it. We asked them to just give us one from an empty unit, but they just didn't. They said all the right words and didn't take action. On the maintenance team's 5th visit they laughed and said they had the part all along, just didn't realize what was broken. They spent half the time in our unit looking at YouTube of how to fix it. We had to call the office 2-3 times a day just to get maintenance to show up. I get that they don't know everything, but taking a month to fix a dishwasher is certainly not a luxury experience. As such, I do not recommend moving here unless you must. They charge far too high a rent for the experience. I've met plenty of other residents who in a short elevator chat, will passive aggressively explain how they can't wait to leave. A group of people trying to get into the building will stand there saying "why cant these people figure out doors?!" It appears that Equity Residential (owner of Milo- NYSE:EQR) has profit maximization as their top priority, because the only investments in Milo are that which make new people think this place is luxury when they are touring around (aesthetic). read more

I'm fact, I've had my cars broken into 3 times My rims stolen off my truck!!! Cameras don't work don't ask. Security sucks, never around when you need them and management just says sorry. I own a business on the ground floor of Milo. We love being in the building - the lobby is beautiful and the property management team is friendly and helpful. There are lots of young people with adorable pups living in the building. Hale Park just outside the front door is a great amenity to have right out front. It's great for dog owners or just to have a place to hang out or picnic. It seems that there's a strong sense of community and many residents know one another. There are so many fun restaurants and businesses open or opening around Milo. For millennials in their 20s and 30s this is a great spot to live. read more

The employees at the Milo are outstanding! I love living here at Milo because of the employees' kind and pragmatic leadership in addressing the needs of the Milo residents. I never worry about communicating my suggestions or dilemmas to the front desk because I know that they prioritize my safety and wellbeing. I've lived at the Milo for almost a year now and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I enjoy the quiet but also vibrant up and coming neighborhood. The apartment itself is well built and stylish. The amenities are a plus.. I've enjoyed hanging on the rooftop with friends, using the pool and hot tub (when it's working). The maintenance staff is very responsive and helpful. The staff is miserable to work with and completely unhelpful in my experience, shit just doesn't get done, i don't know what else to say. not as secure as advertised and under delivers on just about everything. I cannot truly express how dissatisfied I have been with this complex and my time living here. My elevator just doesn't work sometimes, and they've done nothing for months about it. Just a shit establishment. Both my sister and myself have been locked out on numerous occasions, often at night and in the cold. Lived in a one bed/one bath apartment here for 2 years. The place was decent enough. Roaches were a big issue but thankfully I lived on the top floor and didn't see too many. Maintenance was extremely fast sometimes, and sometimes took several weeks to show up. First night in the apartment there was a gas leak that I had to BEG maintenance to come check out, and when they finally showed up they said I was "lucky to wake up". But regardless, I stayed for 2 years with relatively few issues. I was finally able to buy a home and was ready to move out. I cleaned the place from top to bottom and moved out prior to my scheduled move out day. The lease stated that the deposit would be returned "within 30 days of moveout". Well, 30 days rolled along I had not heard anything. After calling and leaving messages for several days I finally spoke to someone who told me that I would be getting the full amount of my deposit back. However, they took out a portion to pay the last months utility bills, which is fine but was never cleared by me. I spent the next week calling between the leasing office and the accounts payable office, which has nothing to due with returning deposits, in case the leasing office tells you the same lie they told me. I finally got one check for $150 out of the $550 I was owed, and no one could tell me why that mistake was made or who made it. Had to call more, only to have them start ignoring my phone calls, to finally get them to send the check for my remaining deposit. Incredible unprofessional and clueless when it comes to move out. Some of the girls tried their best to help, but still had no clue where my check was coming from. It took two months after I moved out to finally have my deposit in hand. Good luck to anyone deciding to rent here, just hope you don't have any issues because you won't receive any help. This place wants to keep all the money they can from you. read more

Just don't move here. The worst horrible office people I have ever seen. Yeah, the building is new and has a nice pool and amenities. But you know what determines your daily life is actually people, the office managers. They has a service called Luxer, which is a package service, and of course, their unprofessional office people did not set it up correctly for me. I lost my Amazon packages since the locker code was sent to a former resident. I have talked several times with the office manager and she said she would contact the former resident and get back to me. Of course, there was no response from her and she quit last month. Talked to a new office manager last month, and he said he will figure out what he can do, yeah as you can expect no response for a month, and today he finally responded to my follow-up email and say the same thing. Contact Amazon. I am very frustrated with Milo and how they treat the residents. I feel like I am just an annoying burden to them. read more
