They charged illegal "facility fees" for my service animal and make this common practice with their tenants to override the no pet fee laws on ESAs and Service animals. I was too scared to file my HUD discrimination claim while living there. Unfortunately, it was denied due to the statute but he encouraged other residents to file a complaint if this is happening to them. After I moved out, they added shady, retroactive charges and blamed me for prior damage they refused to fix. They continue to attribute an ammonia smell (cat? Meth?) to my fully trained service dog. Their "legal counsel" couldn't be verified as a licensed Colorado attorney despite him signing as "General Counsel" and "Esq." And yes, they offered free hockey tickets for 5-star reviews. I been at Cherry plaza for 4 years almost 5 now. Coming out of California. Passing by it may not be the first stop for someone looking for an apartment but never judge a book by its cover. I've had zero issues since living here. The office people are great, maintenance staff are short handed but for being 2 guys and having 4 buildings they bust their ass. It's right by i25 so you have to deal with a little noise. But you're 6-8 min from king Soopers. 10 min to cherry creek 12-15 min to Costco in Aurora. 3 gyms within 10 min. It's a prime location for everything that you need to get too. Again don't judge a book by its cover. Come and check it out. See what you think read more

I have lived at Cherry Plaza apartments for the last year, after moving from out of state last July. This was the only property I was looking at from across the country that would give me a zoom tour of an apartment and the grounds. Both the leasing office staff and the maintenance staff are quick to respond to any problems or issues; the maintenance staff lives onsite. The buildings are old, but maintenance cleans the common areas every day. As a single female, the locked buildings and courtyard made me feel safe, despite being downtown, right by the freeway. The location is quite central. The vibe is friendly, I met several neighbors while living there that I will remain close with after I move out. I am moving to be closer to work, but this place was great in helping me transition to Colorado living!! KM read more

This is by far the best apartment building I've ever lived. The staff is amazing and on top of everything. If I ever have a maintenance issue a simple email and the job is done promptly. No pests. No noisy neighbors. It's clean, It's safe and affordable and the location is great with easy access to the Evans light rail station which connects right to the parking lot. Lots of parking. The neighborhood is pleasant and the building is secure. They have put a tremendous amount of effort in making Cherry Plaza an excellent place to live. read more

Location is nice with lots of food options and stores around. Management always helpful- and friendly. Quick when needed for emergency maintenance as the crew lives at the complex as well. Laundry - washers & dryers have an app to use making it nice and convenient. You can see which are available and also easy to load app for payment and check the time on the machine. read more

The place is a dump, and the owner likes to pretend he is an attorney to assert authority. I guess he assumed no one would conduct an attorney search on the Colorado Supreme Court website to discover that he is not being honest about his title. They also like to illegally charge pet fees disguised as "facility fees" for both service animals and emotional support animals (ESAs). If you want all your rights violated and fraudulent charges added to your bill after you have a copy of the previous statement showing the fraud, then come here. The team came in and fixed all issues within moments, and I only waited a day for my request. The gentlemen who came to help were very friendly and informative. Great place to live, super close to the light rail and bus station and a nice and friendly staff

There are older negative reviews of this apartment complex that are not applicable now. I have lived at this complex at 4500 E. Jewell (bldg. 2) for over a year. (2024/25) It has been a clean place to live, and I have honestly never seen any type of insect in my apartment once. Not one time. Pest free, 100%. No ants, spiders, or roaches. I think new management took over and turned things around here. So you can easily ignore the old reviews. I would never ever live in a building with roaches. I have seen zero of them here. The staff is always attentive and helpful. I really appreciate that. They regularly clean the hallways and paint as needed. Always friendly. The security doors usually work, but I think take a beating with some tenants and children. The building just south of mine used to be very loud and annoying at all hours of the night. They solved that problem too, the criminal elements there were evicted, and the building is quiet now, and they installed camera's. The rent is very affordable, especially by Denver standards. I would recommend Cherry Plaza to any family member or friend as a great apartment. They keep the pool clean in the summer too. AC unit in my place works excellent. Awesome sound separation between units so you can watch movies and listen to music without complaints. The electric bill even running the AC in the summer is blessedly low for my 1 bdrm. I have no intention of ever moving elsewhere honestly. I love my apartment here, and the staff is above and beyond. read more

I would absolutely recommend this place! It's really find to hard a well priced space with good management who lives onsite. They don't nickel and dime you for things. The amenities list is actually pretty impressive for a property like this. New AC units, washer and dryer facility, pool, parking and proximity to public transportation. Even just being this close to the highway makes it easy to travel. Great spot! read more

Anytime I have submitted a maintenance request I have received a prompt response. Whether it was changing light bulbs, replacing/removing furniture, or servicing the plumbing and electricity, maintence quickly and thoroughly ensured that I have an optimal living environment. I intend to continue renting from cherry plaza apartment for the remainder of my years in Colorado and I strongly recommend their properties to all of the incoming graduate students looking for housing. If I could give this place sub-zero stars I would. First of all, let me clarify; our rent was never late and we are the type of people who are meticulous with all our belongings and respectful of everyone else's. If you're reading this because you're considering renting here for whatever your reasons, I would implore you to find something else. I could write for eight hours straight detailing the audaciousness that occurred during our time here but all you really need to know is the owner Mike Feldman will make your life miserable. Aside from the bedbugs, staff and lack of respect and decency for all tenants, Mike Feldman will undoubtedly find a way to manipulate any situation to his favor. A gentleman wrote a review that perfectly summarizes who you will be giving money too and what you can expect. Simply google 'Michael Feldman narcissist con man las vegas' (Samson Equities owns property in Nevada as well as the Cherry Plaza Apts.) I would like to really sound off on this guy but it's not worth my time and if you read the review I mentioned, it's already been done for me. I'm only writing this because I feel obliged to warn the people who are ideal tenants like me, who took excellent care of his property and paid on time, all the time. Great office staff! Cory was always very helpful with questions, requests, and holding mailed packages. We had a small 1 bedroom here for a year while transitioning to move across the country. Moved out May 2019. We weren't here full time, but when we were in town we were happy here. You can't beat the price considering the location. Once had an emergency maintenance issue concerning the kitchen sink. Staff handled the issue quickly and efficiently. As far as run-of-the-mill apartments go, you really can't beat this when considering price, location, and service. read more

This place is awesome. There is no bed bug problem despite all the bad reviews from tenets who were probably kicked out for the bed bugs. Tina is the shit. They deep clean or have remodeled most of the apartments. It's very quiet and priced great for being in Denver, next to a light rail station with their own parking lot they heavily monitor for people parking there who aren't residents. I wish we had in unit laundry or a dishwasher, but first world problems. We are just fine with out. read more

Let me just start with saying, Brianna is the BEST. Not only is she the sweetest, but she has truly made my living experience here great. Any problem I have, she handles it, any questions I have, she answered always. NEVER had a attitude or made me feel as if I was bothering her. By far the best rental experience I've had truly. The maintenance men are also, always speedy with repairs(if needed) the units are spacious and nearly all of them are remodeled , even if not they're good looking apartments. Especially for the price, I haven't had a bug problem EVERRRR, since I've been here for a little over a year now. The grounds are nice. Close to everything 10-15 mins or less to get downtown and the other cities as well. Nice neighbors. But if I'm being completely honest, the only reason I'm releasing is because Brianna is SO SWEET & understanding. And I personally, have never felt more comfortable & respected at a apartment complex & I've been renting in different areas for over 5 yrs. KEEP BEING A BADASS BRIANNA!! I have lived here for almost 2 years and I couldn't be happier. Since we got a new property manager things have changed for the better. Moving here from another state it was hard to find a place in Denver that was affordable. I seriously feel like I hit the jack pot, not just because of everything thats included, but the convenience of the location as well! I've lived at The Cherry Plaza Apartments for who years, up until May. I'm laughing at the reviews on this complex because people will only boast about the negative. This is Colorado, where the pest population in greater then stoners. Yes, I've had maybe two instances with Cockroachs.. After I made a maintenance request they were their within 24 hours.. The staff actually attended me in a rather timely manner,. sometimes even in the same day. The staff was always super nice (a few live in the complex) The only negative thing I can fathom is maybeeeeeee the dog poop outside (tenet issues) and the asshole smokers who constantly break the locking doors so they wouldn't need their keys... I would say that I've had nothing but positive interactions and experiences at the Cherry Plaza Apartments and I'm almost considering moving back in, at the end of the year... The area is prime, the neighbors keep to themselves, and I don't have to worry about a nosy landlord invading my privacy. I'm going to miss Cherry Plaza, along with its Staff.. read more

This place in centrally located. Affordable rent, units are in good shape, at least the one I rented was. Lived here for 3 years while going to DU. Hallways got new carpet and tile before I left. The staff was always prompt and available when needed. Nice affordable place to rent. read more

I recently visited a friend, who is a tenant at the Cherry Plaza Apartments. I parked in the parking lot, since that is where I previously had parked, without incident. I noticed a sign that said, "Unauthorized or improperly parked vehicles will be towed..." etc. I assumed that as a visitor of a tenant that I was authorized. After my visit of about 1 1/2 hours, I discovered that my car had been towed. I was forced to pay $231 to get it off the impound lot. When I questioned the apartment manager, she stated that the signage was approved by the City or County of Denver. After further inspection, I saw a sign posted on the building, far from the area where the other sign was posted, that said that a permit is required to park in the lot. The signage is inadequate, whether approved or not, and it smells like a rat. In more ways than one. read more

I lived here for almost 6 years. I used to love it. The management WAS great. Yes, there were a few problems- ants, mice, etc but they were affordable apartments. They slowly started jacking the rent up bit by bit to the point where they weren't worth it. No dishwasher, nothing was remodeled, the threat of BED BUGS. Then they got new management and things started to go down hill more and more. Water would be shut off without notice for hours, NO HOT WATER like ever, broken security doors, bullet holes in the hallway windows, no parking. I waited to post this review in fear I wouldn't get my deposit back because they are that petty. Speaking of deposit- I only got $49 back out of $99 because they said they had to clean the stove and fridge. Pet rent- only got $125 back out of $300- no one ever told me $150 was NONrefundable and they said I didn't pay pet rent for 1 month- I did. Staff argues about rent payments. They was a credit on my account because they were OVER charging me on pet rent for 3 months- then no one wrote down that I had a credit and they told me I owe more money for my regular rent. In summary, these apartments are overpriced for the quality and management needs to get their stuff together. read more

Where should i start? I have never lived in an apartment where I had to worry about bugs. It's disgusting! It all started when they left a note on the door stating they were going to spray for bed bugs. I thought "I have not seen any, nor been bitten by anything, but ok.. go ahead and spray". A few days after that is when i started seeing them... cockroaches and a few bed bugs. I don't know if they were in an apartment before entering mine and carried them in with them but there they were. Every time my little nephew came over to stay the night he would go home with bites all over him. I got some spray from Home Depot and took care of it myself, hoping it will work. But just this morning I saw one coming up through the bathroom sink. That's another problem, the plumbing!! Every day I see water coming up through the same sink that smells like sewer and has nasty hair and who knows what. I try and pour bleach down it. I cant call them to fix it because they will charge me for it. Don't call them to fix anything, they'll hand you the bill. Even if the leak (which happens a lot) is coming from another apartment. They will come in your apartment whenever they want to, without notice. There are no parking spaces, so if you have a friend visit they have to park a block away. My friend was here once for literally 30 mins and parked in the lot. We came out and his car had been towed, and it was $300 to get it back. Bottom line, run the other direction. Rent is low for a reason, I'd probably be better off sleeping in the alley. Once I can come up with a deposit for another place i'm out. read more
