Fake luxury, scummy management. I lived at the Amaranth for 1 year beginning in November 2019. The 1BR 1BA apartment was sufficient--though surprisingly cheap in its finishes: bubbling laminate flooring and kitchen shelving not properly secured. Once that very kitchen shelving decided to give out, collapsing on top of me and shattering all of our glassware. Despite fixing all of these issues, deep cleaning the apartment and filling any small holes in the wall leaving the space cleaner and nicer than my move in date, I did not receive a full security deposit back. During the pandemic, all the amenities of the building were of course shut down--but as residents we sure as hell still paid for them--no discount for the lack of access to the gym that's been worked into your monthly rent. Management made sure to send out reminders during the peak of covid to pay rent on time or risk eviction. This building is run by people who will squeeze everything out of their tenants while doing the absolute bare minimum. The janitorial and maintenance staff at this building was great. During the 1 year stay I put in orders for several of the light bulbs to be replaced multiple times (cheap faulty wiring? cheap bulbs? who knows?) and the staff worked quickly and professionally to care for the issues. I wouldn't recommend long term living. read more

I have to echo everyone else's comments about the Amaranth being the best apartment complex the've lived in. Over the past three years I have moved around Denver four times, I have lived in or visited most of the comparable complexes in town--and as far as apartments go, I really have to give it to the Amaranth. From the handwritten welcome notes to me AND my dog and so much more...Heather, Bree, and Melanie really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Everyone that lives in the community takes care of the building and wants a nice place to call home. This is the first place that I actually want to stay the entire term of my lease, and hopefully longer. Karl and the maintenance team are also super awesome! One block to Cheeseman Park, Congress Park, and the Denver Botanic Gardens...you can venture a few more blocks to be close to the best of Denver. read more

This is an AMAZING building! The team is wonderful (especially Tara, Fernando and Minerva) and the residents are so friendly. The Amaranth is a very dog friendly community with incredible amenities (multiple workout spaces, a rooftop deck and hot tub, well designed common areas to allow you to work from "home" without being isolated). If you are looking to rent in Denver, do yourself a favor and visit the Amaranth! read more

I have to completely concur with Kate Y. Building used to be amazing when management really cared about the tenants and the experience we received. That is no longer the case. It's hard to get a straight answer from the current management about anything. It's still a great neighborhood and facilities are good (even though they aren't maintained properly) but it really feels like we are overpaying for the service we are getting. It's a shame because it was so good for our first 3.5 years in the building. read more

I recently moved in and The Amaranth is amazing! The location is fantastic on a quiet tree lined street steps from Cheesman and Congress parks and overlooking the beautiful Botanical Gardens. The rooftop lounge has fantastic mountain views and is a great place to spend time. And the gym is far superior to that found in most apartments with enough equipment and space so that there is no need for a separate membership. Most importantly, though, the people are great here, both other residents who are very friendly and the fantastic staff who make living here fun and easy. read more

Ive lived at the amaranth for a few months and im very pleased with my residency thus far. The amenities are wonderful and the staff is so incredibly friendly and more than willing to help me when i need it. I would recommend this place to everyone! read more

Although I did not rent here I did go In for a tour and had a great experience and I have to say I will definitely be back to lease with them once my lease is up at my current place. They have such awesome amenities and the staff is so welcoming. I can definitely see myself living here and calling it my home. read more

I have really mixed opinions on living here, which I have done for 4+ years. Of course when it opened it was perfect, new and clean. It's been 4 or 5 years and we have a new manager who is not very responsive. The grounds are DISGUSTING- there is dog poop everywhere and urine in the building, all the grass is dead, giant snow/ice piles in the driveway. Plus I've found cocaine in the lobby on multiple occasions- charming. I like the maintenance guys and cleaning woman and appreciate the parking but feel like its kind of going downhill and management really has no interest in their tenants. I get tons of emails from management about this and that but it hasn't made a difference. Dogs run loose and you can easily hear all hallway noise from the unit (the walls are very well insulated but the doors are pretty much useless). I hate complaining but it builds up; elevators are out, the carpets are filthy, coffee machine often does not work, expected items not provided (dog waste bags, treats, cups for coffee, mis-labeled packages, no more package notification system, the dog wash room is always filthy and full of dog hair, paying monthly for services you do not use and cannot opt out of (trash pickup?!), etc). To be fair, the positives- all original staff is great, pretty apartments, included parking, most tenants are nice, location, included Botanic Gardens membership. read more

I have lived in the Amaranth for two years and just signed my lease for my third year and I cannot say enough good things about this building and the current management. The last few months have not been easy, but our managers Samantha and Christina have done everything possible to keep the building clean and the residents safe. They are incredibly responsive to everyone's needs and always cheerful in their interactions. Obviously, no place is perfect, but I love living in a building where the amenities are great, the location is wonderful, and I have made such amazing friends. This is a great community and I am lucky to live here. read more

Most accommodating amazing new management team!!!! Can't say enough great things! So flexible and knowledgeable. Went above and beyond. I've lived in many communities and this is the best!! read more

The Amaranth is under new management- they are really taking care of business! I've lived in this building for two years - it is a beautiful location, wonderful community. read more

This is by far the best apartment and apartment community I have ever lived in. It has so many amenities, the apartment managers are nice and helpful, and it is a wonderful community with genuine and nice people. It is a social place. We have gone out to dinner, met in the lounge to have a potluck, met in the lounge another time to chat. It is definitely a place to meet new friends. Also, it is one of the only or few brand new construction apartments in Denver. There is a washer & dryer in each apt., dishwasher, and beautiful brand new space. I love to cook and now have the perfect brand new kitchen. There are many other amenities such as a new workout facility, a room for yoga/bike classes, free coffee and tea area, gas fireplace in the lobby. There will be a wonderful rooftop with hot tub, fire pit, and kitchen area. My apartment also has a beautiful porch. The beautiful Botanic Gardens are right next door! In three years I have lived in three apartment complexes. I finally found my home. First, because unlike most new construction in Denver, it has concrete and concrete equals no noise from your upstairs, downstairs, or next door neighbors. Ah the sound of silence, Second, the property management team is responsive, communicates, throws a great party and maintenance is superb. Third, great location. Fourth, Botanic Gardens are great neighbors. Fifth, everyone living here seems to care about the building. Yes, the bathrooms are a bit small but turns out that isn't a big deal. We just moved into the Amaranth a few weeks ago. This is by far the nicest apartment complex we have ever lived in, and the nicest one we looked at in Denver. Management is super nice and on top of it, they go above and beyond to help make the Amaranth feel like home. The amenities are always clean and maintenance responds quickly to requests. The building has a mix of very friendly people. Our apartment is very quiet, haven't heard a peep through the walls. Also, great location, right next to Cheesman Park and the Botanical gardens! read more

It is truly as good as it gets !! I have lived in apartment complexes for the past seven years and all of them have been nice cozy places to live in. However amaranth clearly rules the roost. It is by far the best complex I have ever lived in. Firstly it is a new construction and well situated in the heart of denver. It is close to whole foods and the cherry creek mall (less than a mile away). The apartments have all the modern amenities including a charging station, valet trash removal service and a washer and dryer in unit. The leasing managers and maintenance staff are very friendly, pleasant and always willing to help. My neighbours are very nice and friendly as well. We have people from all walks of life and that kind of makes it a healthy melting pot. To have the botanical gardens right next door is the icing on the cake. I love it !!! read more

Fantastic location and quiet (very rarely able to hear upstairs or next door neighbors) are the 2 positives of this building. We were so excited to move in - the building manager was fantastic and there was an actual sense of community, then that all changed less than 30 days in. There was a total of 4 managers in the year we lived there, the fifth is now in place. Amenities such as gym (with dated equipment and treadmills that work sometimes and sometimes shut off on you in the middle of your run) , a coffee machine that rarely was in working order, and cheap appliances are what you get for the cost, which is very high to begin with. Especially if you are so unlucky to be facing the construction next door that goes Monday - Saturday, starting at 7am and ending at 8pm, and will continue into 2020. Also it may seem small, but for most of the time the only amenity that we used, but the dog treats in the lobby were changed to horrible treats my dog would't even touch, then to non existent. We were debating on staying, and then got the letter informing us that the rent would go up $200 a month and it was now mandatory to pay for a parking spot, which puts a 1 bedroom unit, 700 SF to almost $2600 per month. 3 months after moving out, I had to inquire as I still had not received our security deposit back. When I did, I was then informed that on top of the $250, which did not cover the last less than 2 months of utilities that were still owed. Meaning your base rent + at least $125 a month for Utility billbacks, and then average electric bill is $125+ as we had to run the air conditioning year round or the apt would climb to 80 degrees in less than a few hours, and all the construction made opening windows difficult, means living there is VERY spendy. For the final costs, they were also charging us for cleaning, painting (it included the ceilings!!) and Carpet cleaning. Now, I have never had to pay for any of these and we are very, very, clean people. We left the apartment so clean, including wiping down of drawers, cabinets, baseboards and mr. clean erasing the walls. I also patched any small holes from hanging items on the walls. Upon contacting the new manger, who was very nice though clearly dealing with a mess, the carpet charges were reversed as they had no proof it was done. So at this time they are saying we were to pay $230 more on top of the security deposit for items they cannot prove were even done. I again talked to the manager, she could not find any photos prior to the turn, so she did have the charges reversed, for which I was very thankful. Current residents - I HIGHLY suggest doing a walk-through and taking pictures so that you do not have to go through that hassle. (I asked but was told not it was not needed, I should have insisted) I truly hope the new manager can make it a better place than it has been, as is there longer than a few months, but ultimately the cost is just very, very high for what you get. I had put 1 star, but bumped it to 2 after having the final issue taken care of. read more

Living in Amaranth was a great experience. I move around a lot for work and have dealt with several different living situations. Amaranth was easily one of the best I've found. From the very beginning, I had a short window to move in and the staff was very accommodating. I frequently had family visting from out of town and the guest suite made it easy for them to stay close. The rooftop common area is awesome and was a great spot to hang out, BBQ and enjoy the beautiful Denver summer nights. Access to the Botanical Gardens is a huge bonus! read more

We feel fortunate to be renting a wonderful apartment at the Amaranth. We have a glorious northeast view, meaning our mornings are welcomed by fantastic sunrises. Add to this, the building is extremely well maintained and the community management team is immediately and effectively responsive. Plus, it's the best location in central Denver! Minutes from either the Botanic Gardens or Cheesman Park. read more

There is no better apartment complex in Denver! This place is perfectly located near Cheeseman park and right next to the Botanical Gardens. The units are spacious and have the greatest detail. They building is filled with much appreciated luxuries, like underground parking, a top notch gym, and beautiful communal areas on the ground floor and rooftop where you can gather with great neighbors for football watch parties, relax in the hot tub, or share a steak and wine while watching the sunset. Rob and his team will bend over backwards to help you get settled in and ensure any issues you have are taken care of immediately. The units are incredibly quiet. You may hear a little sound from the hallway as people pass by, but from wall to wall, it is SILENT! If you're a dog owner, this place is for you! We make liberal use of the dog washing station after our pup goes nuts on nearby mountain hikes. Can't say enough good things about the Amaranth! read more
