Located right around Hocking Hills, my friend and I who did a little winter getaway to the area stopped here one night to grab some dinner. Hocking Hills is definitely more geared towards warmer weather times, as I feel like there's a lot less happening and probably opening in the winter months, but Millstone Southern Smoked BBQ was a perfect dinner spot for us on one of these cold nights! It was pretty full on a random weeknight, so I feel as though the locals come here for their dinners, which was a fun thing for us to experience. Highlight of the meal was definitely the complimentary mini cornbread muffins that they put on our table shortly after we sat down. My mind was absolutely BLOWN by this haha! I've never dined at any BBQ joint that has done this before and I'm a huge fan of cornbread! I can confidently say that these mini cornbread muffins really hit the spot - quality cornbread and just a complete bonus to the meal! Other than that, you'll find your traditional BBQ fare here. We split some crispy green beans, which actually is a more unique item and was breaded and tasted delicious! For my main, I got their open-faced dinner, which had brisket on top of a mound of mashed potatoes, all over some delicious texas toast just sopping in the gravy. It was hearty as hell and so delicious for a cold winter's night! I loved it all and finished every bite! Yum! Millstone Southern Smoked BBQ will be a great place to stop in the cold weather or even in warm weather when you have an ambitious day at Hocking Hills set up for before or afterwards!

While visiting Hocking Hills State Park, my wife and I had dinner here. Millstone is a very good BBQ restaurant! Let's start with the complimentary cornbread muffins. They were unexpected but delicious! Served with a whipped honey butter, they melt in your mouth. For dinner, my wife and I shared an order of smoked chicken wings, half a slab of ribs and some smoked turkey. The wings were excellent! The ribs were tender and very good. The smoked turkey was decent but not as good as the other food. I had a side of mac and cheese which was good; my wife had a salad that she said was delicious. Ambience is nice, service was good.

The food was delicious! The mini cornbread muffins are phenomenal! Baked beans are perfect. The vibe is very cozy and relaxing here. Macie working the bar was very friendly and professional and brought my food out very fast and took great care of me during my visit. Definitely visit again.

Staying in the area from out of town to visit Hocking Hills, and Millstone BBQ really hit the spot! Walked in on a Thurs evening and were seated right away - the restaurant is a good size with plenty of tables and a bar. We were surprised with complimentary mini corn bread muffins that came with a sweet whipped butter and loved these! Came out toasty warm and so yummy! Much better than a typical bread basket. I got the Millstone Combo which came with a choice of 2 meats and 2 sides. I got pulled pork, brisket, cole slaw, and mac & cheese. I thoroughly enjoyed this. The meat actually comes out dry (ie smoked/cooked with a rub/marinade/seasoning but is not "wet" BBQ). On the side, they had their Sweet & Tangy and Spicy Hot BBQs to add. I think the meats themselves would've been a little dry without the sauces, but this way people can add what they want and the amount they want. Between the two sauces, I slightly preferred the Sweet & Tangy, but they're good mixed together as well! We also got the Fried Green Beans with ranch and these were good as well! Came out piping hot, with the beans green and the perfect texture (not floppy nor too firm). These were breaded and deep fried. For the most part, mostly the fried breading and ranch flavors come through, but no complaints as those are tasty flavors! Front staff that seated us and our waitress were friendly and professional. Reasonable prices. Overall nice experience for dinner in Logan!

$12 Caesar Salad made with "Crisp" Romaine lettuce. What a waste of our money.

Loved the smoked turkey tonight, followed closely by the rather small piece of smoked sausage. The rest of our order was just not worth what we paid. It was like we were paying good money for table scraps or warming tray leftovers. I was ordered a meat sampler at a cost of $27. Ribs burned hard, no edible meat. Smoked chicken burned from cooking/smoking and dried out like it has been sitting in a warming tray uncovered for hours. Pulled pork had a couple of nice bites, the rest was fat, gristle, burned pieces or dried out meat chunks from sitting in a warming tray for hours. No brisket, no baked beans. Caesar salad made with old lettuce, iceberg and romaine mix that was turning brown. It appears take out orders don't have any quality control. Just slap some slop in a box or styrofoam container and throw it in a bag. Very disappointing food experience. Unfortunately it is becoming very common these days, over priced poorly prepared or old food being passed of as quality fresh food.

The best think about this place was the young man who was our waiter. He was super good and did an excellent job. The restaurant inside is very nice too. The food came quickly. We had brisket and pulled pork, beans, and cafeteria mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was a scoop, and the cheese was not tasty at all. I was looking forward to a real cheesy mac, but it didn't make the cut. The meats were smoked but they lacked the flavor that you expect from the great process of smoking. And they were dry. I wanted to like this place and the food after a long day of hiking, but it was a little lack luster.

    Brisket and ribs.

Ate here over the weekend and it was disappointing. Had the ribs and brisket. Brisket was dried out and tasted like rawhide. I had to use so much sauce on it or I wouldn't have been able to swallow it. The ribs had no flavor or taste really wondered if they were smoked. Don't think I will ever return here. This is not a good BBQ place. Good luck.

Meh. Service and drinks were great as were the appetizers but $25 for a 10 ounce fat ridden ribeye....overpriced.

Wouldn't even consider it a BBQ place. Always out of things and always served cold. Total waste of money and time.

Drinks are extra, and there's also a small $1-2 supplemental fee added on, which felt a little odd since it could probably just be included in the buffet price. The food itself is very classic home-style comfort food with lots of options. Nothing super fancy or out of the ordinary, but everything tasted fresh and the buffet was constantly being refilled every few minutes. We also got the iced sweet teas, which seemed to be really popular since almost every table had one. One unique thing -- the entrance and exit are through the gift shop, and you also pay there at the end of your meal, which definitely adds to the old-school country restaurant experience. Our waitress was attentive and friendly throughout the meal, too. Overall, worth the stop for the experience and comforting homemade-style food while visiting Logan.

This place was hopping but somehow everything flowed smoothly. We tried a little bit of everything- chicken and noodles, salad, stewed tomatoes, asparagus, has brown casserole, pie, etc. my husband seemed to really enjoy their fried chicken. They also offer a menu you can order from a la carte. The buffet was so extensive that we ended up sticking with it. I only hold off on the fifth star because some of the food was over salted and/or overcooked (especially the veggies- asparagus, cauliflower, etc).

We ordered two drinks, a Moscow mule and N/A beer; the cashew queso, the deconstructed chicken cordon bleu, and the brisket mac and cheese. Drinks were great. The queso was super thick and more like a black bean dip, so that didn't hit right. Dinner arrived and looked great, but the chicken was bland and really just felt like a chunk of meat to get through. The mac and cheese was OK, but be aware it is covered in a sweet BBQ sauce and is more of a braised brisket than smoked BBQ. Our server was great, and the atmosphere was great. But all of that above decent at best food came to a total of around $100 (just about $30 per entree) for a party of two. My wife and I go about once a year for a meal that expensive and it is not for the quality of food we spent at 58 West. I'd say 58W needs to either lower their prices or the consumer needs to lower their expectations and head somewhere else.

You will have to try to sweet potato fries with the delicious cream cheese dip. Pairs well with the maple beer.
