After taking my then 3 year old MAC BOOK PRO (bought new for $2,300) to Direct Tech I thought it was strange that 2 of the screws were left out of the bottom panel, but I let it go. A little over a year went by and the computer began giving me a lot of trouble, so a son said he'd go to the Apple store and have it fixed....nirvana! Dan left the computer with Apple at 3:00 in the afternoon and was told to pick it up at 8pm. When he came back that evening he was told Apple couldn't touch it as it has an aftermarket hard drive........good-bye warranty! Shock!!!! Looking over old bills, I found that they had taken out my Apple hard drive and replaced it with a REFURBISHED (meaning USED) hard drive. We went to see Direct Tech and of course they claimed that they asked me first. I know myself and I NEVER, EVER WOULD HAVE APPROVED A REFURBISHED PART for my lovely, relatively new computer. Of course the used part failed after a year and another hard drive had to be put in. (another 200+ bill) In all my 20 plus years of dealing with computers, I have ALWAYS been offered the used part. When we asked Direct Tech where my Apple Hard Drive was they claimed it was so bad they had to destroy it......! As a writer, I use my computer mainly as a word processor and for emails. It doesn't get hard use at all. Perhaps being a little old lady (yes, in tennis shoes) they might have thought that the USED HD would outlast me and no-one would know the difference.......just saying. Beyond sad....

I moved to I2B because I wanted to work with a provider with a more family like feel that still had the technology required for me to feel comfortable moving and running our server infrastructure from their facility. I have had nothing buy great experiences and they have always been accommodating. I recall one network outage over the past 6+ years and 0 power issues, even when San Diego lost power. The network outage was remedied that day and has never been an issue since. I recommend you check them out for yourself and compare them to the other big players to see who fits your own needs best.

I have been with I2B since 10/2012 (5 yrs), and it was honestly with a bit of a heavy heart that I left them recently... I only did so because I now live in Seattle, and wanted my servers near me. Whether I was there with my little half-rack (my own business), or with five full racks as the I.T. Manager for the largest chain of clinics in San Diego (when I took a break from my biz for a bit), I have been getting the same above-and-beyond service from I2B since I started with them, and pretty much the same great guys have been providing it that entire time. From my favorite late-night tech (Max O.) who I have always been able to trust with quick and intelligent remote-hands, to Chad, Mike T., Mike F., and the rest of the team, everyone there has always provided that personal touch that makes I2B unique. An enterprise-grade datacenter, with the personal touch of a small business, and staff that take pride in their work, know their stuff, and seem to like their jobs, too. And little touches like the crazy complimentary snack selection when you're stuck there working a late night make the difference. I like them so much that I referred a good friend who also owns a consulting firm there, and he's very happy so far.
