Most webinars I've attended have the same pitfalls: heavy on price, light on actionable advice. Zimran's webinar, How to Get Your First Job in a Writers' Room was the exception. Zimran had multiple PDF documents he built, curated, and shared with the class. Inside was a wealth of knowledge harvested over his time in professional writer's rooms. Whether it was a detailed schedule of the typical day-to-day, unspoken no-nos to avoid when sending query emails, or firsthand advice from showrunners who staff these rooms, I walked away with intelligence it would've taken me years to gather.
