Yelp's review filtering system banished my recent review of Rapid Resume to the "Not Recommended" section (not sure why), so I'm reposting it below: *********** Bruce is the only person I would trust to fix up my resume. If I could give him 10 stars, I would. A little background: For years, I had been contemplating a cross country move to Los Angeles. Finally, I decided to apply to jobs in LA, but knew that my resume would require a serious revamp in order to attract the attention of local employers, especially as an out-of-state applicant. Initially, I attempted to fix my resume on my own, but quickly realized that I needed professional help. After researching various resume services, I settled on Rapid Resume based on the excellent reviews. I sent a message to Bruce, and he responded almost immediately. We discussed my situation and expectations, and I sent him a copy of my existing resume along with the edits and additions I hoped to incorporate into the new version. We also agreed to meet several days later so that he could go over the changes to my resume and cover letter in person. On the day of the meeting, I was optimistic but still a little bit unsure of what to expect. But once I arrived at his office and reviewed his edits, any lingering concerns went away immediately. Thanks to Bruce's hard work, my resume and cover letter were transformed from basic, unimpressive documents into polished, refined tools with which I could confidently apply to potential employers. I was so impressed by the results that I wanted to send out about 100 resumes on the spot, whereas prior to his assistance, I was experiencing a tremendous amount of anxiety due to concerns about my resume's lackluster appearance and content. Instead of worrying about what my resume lacked, I was now extremely confident about what I could offer due to Bruce's keen ability to extract and highlight my unique talents and skill set in a way that would properly market me to potential employers. Thanks to Bruce's hard work, I was able to secure my desired job in Los Angeles within a month of receiving the updated resume and cover letter. I cannot express how grateful I am for Bruce's assistance, as he not only cleaned up these documents, but he also provided me with insight about the local job market along with tips for marketing myself properly. There is no way that I would have been able to land a job so quickly and from across the country without the stellar resume that Bruce produced for me. What could have been a long, discouraging process was expedited by Bruce's complete rebuild of my resume. Simply put, Bruce is an expert at what he does. If you are a job seeker in need of resume editing services, he is the only person you want to contact. He is wise, professional, and insightful, and his prices are more than fair. Thank you again for all of your help, Bruce! read more

Wonderful experience. Great result. I saw the great reviews and saved the business a while ago. I finally needed it and am so happy with Behrouz' work. I recommend this company without hesitation and would definitely call them again. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Saba. He is a wonderfully talented and skilled writer and I am proud to say I landed a job shortly after his services. Moreover, he is very prompt. Time is a precious thing to waste when you do not have a job and many other resume services will takes weeks until they can even meet with you (let alone get your resume ready). The pricing is fair, he will make the most of what whatever experience you have and you do not have to pay until you are completely satisfied. Also, doesn't hurt that he is a fellow Trojan Alumni ;) read more

Having had mixed results in merely researching resume writing services, I became highly skeptical of this industry. I contacted Dr. Saba due in large part to the nature and content of his Yelp reviews...I made the right choice. Dr. Saba was extremely timely with his email replies and scheduled a time for a free telephone consultation to establish my unique resume needs and provide some career counseling. We scheduled a second meeting in person where I would review and evaluate my completed resume and cover letter. The resume that he created was extraordinary, highly impactful, and modern in appearance (with a first rate cover letter); he even took the time to provide additional career counseling. Phenomenal service. read more

First of all, Mr. Saba is flat out brilliant and created a work of art that far exceeded my expectations. I don't dole out compliments easily but I am pretty happy about having that mind (he has a PHD from USC, is a published author and I could have sat there and listened to him speak all day) focused on writing my resume. He wrote brilliantly then checked and double checked, printed it out and had me review it for the second time, and after that he reviewed his brilliant work again. I could not be more satisfied, RapidResume was truly a great investment. read more

Highly Recommend Resume Writer! I sought out professional help with my resume for grad school. Dr. Bruce Saba delivered above and beyond my expectations. He took the time to invite me to his home office where he asked me questions and helped me craft a professional resume and letter of intent. He is an intellectual and easy to speak with on a range of topics. I also enjoyed a little of his bourbon baked pear and Turkish coffee. Afterwards, he read my fortune in the coffee grounds. Meticulously he went over the details of the resume and letter and gave it a unique voice to match my accomplishments and future goals. Afterwards, he walked me to a French bakery with the most delicious croissant and Naan bread. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have met Dr. Saba and would Recommend Rapid Resume professional writing needs. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Saba! I've been in the corporate world for a few years -- in managerial/executive positions-- and after seeing so many resumes, I thought I knew all there is to know. Well, Dr. Saba challenged some of my notions and helped strengthen and elevate my resume. I had sent him a few job positing I had applied for. When we met and I saw the newly-structured resume, I quickly realized that he had spent quite a bit time reading through all of those postings and with meticulous attention, extracted all the key and pertinent information. He helped articulate a very strong story of what I'm looking for and what my strengths are. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about delivering the strongest resume possible. read more

This gentlemen will not meet your expectations but exceed them, and in a timely fashion. Outstanding service and product.

After owning a few businesses and being self-employed for years, I needed serious help creating a corporate resume. Bruce came to the rescue. He's an artist, a wordsmith, a true master of his domain. He doesn't just make your rez look better. He gets into the essence of who you are and creates a masterpiece. You feel confident in showing your resume to anyone. He's patient, courteous and prompt. He wouldn't let me pay until I was 100% satisfied. And I was. My first attempt at sending out my resume was an immediate success. The company contacted me that same day and the interviewing process began. It's an amazing feeling when you don't have to worry about how your resume is perceived. All you need to do is focus on getting the job - which is far easier when your resume speaks for itself. read more

Dr. Saba really really went the distance in re-crafting my resume. Because my background is rather technical in nature, I was quite impressed with his ability to make it more focused and to the point. As an added value, he was very considerate in making sure that the final draft was what I was looking for and he also gave me a few pointers to help with my job search - all I could say was, "Wow"! His expertise is phenomenal, bar none. The bottom line is, I landed a job 6 weeks later. Kudos to Dr. Saba!! read more

Simply the best. Don't look anywhere else. Dr. Saba's wealth of knowledge goes unmatched to any other service you will ever find. He is a patient genius. read more

I needed a well done resume and with my background it wasn't easy. I did a lot of research, I called and interviewed different companies. Then I found Rapid resumes. I read Saba's yelp reviews, and he told me he has been doing this since the 1970's. I quickly called him and he took time to talk to me and explain how he works. It's strange with all other resume writers no one would meet me in person. I think this is important to knowing who I am and my background since mine has been quite jumpy. He listened and we made arrangements to send my old resume and then meet in person. The process was simple and clear cut. I liked the fact that he called me twice to clear up questions he had about my background. I could tell he worked many hours on my resume actually researching dream jobs I sent him and understanding what I was looking for and where I wanted to be in the near future. He does go beyond a big resume agency. He spent 3 hours with me in person (and even offered me Turkish coffee where he reads a your coffee grinds;). Here we reviewed, changed and made the finishing touches on my resume. Since I am a bit of a critic he had a lot to handle with me but he was patient and explained why he wrote things in a certain way. He is also very open if you don't like he some of his edits and is more than happy to have you contribute. Overall Im very happy with my resume and would definitely recommend him to anyone in any job environment, who needs a well written professional resume. read more

Like others who have given Dr. Saba 5 star reviews, I concur that he is an outstanding professional, and caring individual. His insight, advice and encouragement was very helpful. Having relocated to Los Angeles from Seattle, I needed a resume that could convey my ability and work history in translation to a different market within the same field, yet with different parameters. He was detail oriented and very conscientious to ensure I was pleased with his product and I certainly was and am! I received so many calls within the first day, and within one week am employed in my field, in an excellent position and even close to my home!! Mind you this is the same essential information my prior resume contained, which garnered close to zero action. Bruce's version was GOLDEN! Great cover letter and over all presentation got me the calls I needed to get in the door. Thank you!!!! PS. As an aside he's an incredible writer and just a very interesting and brilliant person to have met. read more

I met Mr. Saba (aka: the Phenom) this past Sunday. I have never used a Résumé writer in my life. But at this point in my life, I felt I needed help with a new life and hopefully a new career. I called him around 11:30 am, Sunday morning and he generously squeezed me in at 1:30 that very same day. As I was entering his place, he had a client leaving and after working with me for 3 1/2 hours, he had another client entering. Mr. Saba literally skipped lunch and most likely dinner for his other client. People are thinking... really 3 1/2 hours? No, I really appreciated him asking me questions and allowing me to ask him questions. I have been in the same career for 11 years and was anxious that my résumé wasn't well rounded. Not only did he write me a résumé that highlighted all of my attributes for this current career but he worded it so that I would be able to send it to a variety of different jobs outside of what I do now. He double checked his work and had me do the same. Then he asked if he could keep it for a day and send it to me the next day via email. Apparently, he triple checked his work and enhanced it. Then had it to me by 8 am the next morning, which means I was fully prepared by noon. I am definitely satisfied with his work and my decision. Also, like someone else mentioned. Ask him to make you some of his Turkish coffee. It's excellent. Afterwards, have him read your coffee grinds. interesting indeed. read more

Dr Saba is such a talented, kind, & educated man. He is incredibly thorough in his research. He went above and beyond my expectations and desires. I am looking to change careers & struggled with how to translate that on my resume. He seamlessly crafted an impressive resume & cover letter suitable for various different positions. I would highly recommend him to friends, family, & strangers alike. I could not have been more pleased. He also took the time & care to suggest ways to improve my chances at finding a position right for me. If you want to boost your resume, and/or change careers he is the man to make it happen!! This is a no-brainer. You will not make a better investment than employing the RISK-FREE services of the brilliant Dr. Saba. Here's how it works: You'll have a phone conversation with him, he'll give you a price and you'll meet to create your resume and a cover letter. You're a part of the entire process and once it's completed to your absolute satisfaction, you pay. There is literally no risk. Next let me point out that he is a doctor. That's right, a Ph.D., which puts him in a class of his own. I had tried several different resume types, formats and services before finding Dr. Saba. What he creates is a timeless classic that is most compelling to prospective employers. read more

Rapid Resume provided me with outstanding service when I had a critical deadline to meet. The gentleman who worked with me definitely knows his stuff. I left with a good feeling, knowing that my resume and cover letter were professionally composed. Before going to this service, I called five people, but they had little idea of what I wanted to achieve as a professional in the entertainment industry. And be sure to ask him to make you a cup of Turkish coffee. Absolutely delicious! read more

I first had the pleasure of meeting Bruce 2 years ago. He created an amazing resume for me after over 12 years of being out of Corporate America. I had worked for myself for 12 years and needed to highlight my entrepreneur skills. He looks at what you have and translates that into a resume that will catch people's attention. Not only does he have writing skills, but he knows how to ask you questions to draw out skills and information to include on your resume. I recently updated my resume and he's still the best at what he does. He keeps up to-date-on resume trends as well as knowing what certain industries are looking for. You will not get a cookie cutter resume from Bruce. You will get a resume that is honest, while highlighting your skills and strengths. Bruce is the best! read more

After 7 years of not having to touch my resume, I decided to go through a career change. I tried an online resume rewrite service and was so disappointed by the first draft that I immediately asked for a refund and looked elsewhere. Luckily I found Rapid Resume on yelp. I didn't really know what to expect, but Dr. Saba delivered in all aspects. He did thorough research on all my past job experiences and completely wrote my resume from scratch. Many other services just use what you have an reword things from what I've seen. Another thing that impressed me about Dr. Saba were the yelp reviews of other happy customers. I'm used to services asking or even begging their customers for reviews but Dr. Saba never once mentioned yelp during our meeting. I was so happy with the service that I made a note to myself to remember to write him a good review. If you're looking for someone to help with your resume, you won't be disappointed with Dr. Saba. read more

I couldn't make the decision between Dr. Saba's service, or another service with glowing reviews. I waffled back and forth for weeks- do I go with the company with the fancy website insanely expensive fees and slow-to-reply service? Or Rapid resume? I decided to go with my gut (something I rarely do) and could not be happier. I was totally overwhelmed with the prospect of having to re-do my resume. Dr. Saba took a pile of garbage and crafted an eloquently written and smartly designed resume that I could have never created on my own. I was so blown away that I hired him to assist me with my bio and narrative statement for a Graduate program and could not believe the result. I read a lot of reviews commenting on how nice Dr. Saba is, and while this is certainly true, he is also a genius, and a master at what he does. His response time is fantastic and his service worth every penny. read more

Let me start by saying, money well spent. I have not landed a position as of yet however I am trying to switch fields into a difficult industry, entertainment, and that is proving more difficult as I expected. So I needed as much fire power to differentiate myself from everyone else. Let me tell you, I am proud to call these few pages my resume. We sat down in person for a few hours as he typed away and handed me a rough draft of my resume. A few hours later that same evening he had made a few changes and emailed me the final revision along with my personal cover letter. Thank you Bruce, job well done. I have already referred many friends and family members to him. read more

Seeking professional help in this arena was a fantastic idea.

I finally got a summer offer internship! As they say, a resume is your door to an interview, an interview is your door to the job.

If I could give seven stars I would. Seriously, you will get so much more than a simple resume and cover letter. He's a skilled wordsmith and his service is worth it, but he's also incredibly intelligent and insightful about life. His wisdom impressed me, but also helped me as I was navigating the choppy waters of decision-making about my next career move. I felt better and more confident and focused after meeting with him, and I landed a job very quickly. Do yourself a favor and call him. He's a gem. read more

This review is quite late in writing, but Dr. Saba's service is worth a review! I met with Dr. Saba around July 2016 looking to refresh my resume. Prior to meeting, he requested I send him a few job postings to which I was interested in applying, mostly art-related. We met soon after, and his revised version of my resume was a huge improvement! In so many words, it eloquently communicated my job experience, but also gave insight into my interests and goals. And it looked professional too! After meeting with Dr. Saba, I applied to jobs with a confidence I never had before, and am now happily employed. Dr. Saba knows his stuff---ask questions!
