Sarah was inconsiderate, rude and really unhelpful. Jamie B just finished the interior design of my new house in Silverlake. I can't say enough good…read morethings about her work. Jamie was referred to me by a friend and originally she did a mood board for me for my last apartment. I liked how she read my taste by our conversation and everything she showed me was absolutely perfect. Everyone who comes over complements my home and the decor and I have learned so much from her as a result. She mixes high and low as well as incorporating a lot of my family antiques and heirlooms I didn't know what to do with. Jamie turned me onto the "shelfie" and as a result my living room is now Insta-famous. One really cool thing Jamie did was, she designed a sofa table for me which matched the custom couch AND it was also dog crate for my two Boston Terriers. Lined in crushed velvet- super cute. Jamie handled all the installation and coordinated with my movers, people helping with the electrical and handymen as well as worked with my gardener to do landscape design for the front of the house. I have since used her referrals for a lot of these services because the people she worked with were really great. After I moved in everyone came to visit me from my new neighborhood to complement me on what a beautiful job I did on the yard and how happy they were to see me move in and put so much love into the place. I had such a great experience working with Jamie with my first apartment before the latest house that I hired her to edit and revamp my mothers Santa Monica apartment. Jamie was so generous in working with me that she gave me a great deal with her rates because it was for my mom who's turning 73 this year. My mom always had a hard time getting new things after my dad died and Jamie made it possible to give her this gift. I trusted Jamie would make the right decisions and she was really great with my mom, They can be really hard for my mother to feel comfortable stating her opinion about things but she likes dislikes and Jamie was great with that. One of my favorite things about Jamie is that she chooses pieces that are both gorgeous and are super functional. I've attached some pictures - I love living in my home and I'm super proud of Natalie how it looks but how it feels. I'm so glad I hired her because even though I have good taste and put a lot of time and effort into creating my own interior designs she elevated my home to such another level is just incredible. One thing about Jamie which I haven't found with any other designer I interviewed is her authentic personality. She's very attuned to the space she's creating and very attuned to me, she had a lot of empathy and patience when I was going through those moments of indecision or stress that goes along with any move and she went out of her way to help me on so many occasions streamline everything. I always felt very taken care of and when it came to vendors that weren't doing what they said that they were going to do or items that were delayed in shipping etc. she was not only on it but she fought for me and made what I thought was the impossible happen on more than one occasion. I recommended her to many friends since I've been working for her but wanted to give her a shout out on here.

It has taken over a year to resolve a very minor problem; other issues were left dangling. I encountered a shocking degree of incompetence and indignation. The only fun part was watching this odd "team," with their bizarre ways. Design ranged from stale to downright ugly. Business was repeatedly unethical. Quality relative to cost was subpar. Customer service was frustrating, comically so. Sales job from the start, which ramps up to self righteousness if you don't "absolutely love our sensational design."
