Millie's Gelato was great. They are safe for a peanut allergy. The gelato was really good. The lady who owns it is nice and friendly. I highly recommend here. It was a nice local gelato shop. Definitely will be coming back soon.

Absolutely amazing! They make all their gelato in house and they have some incredible flavors! Definitely the place to go for a sweet treat. The service was so warm and welcoming. The pistachio is great, and they post their flavors on their instagram for new ones. Make sure to check it out!

I tried the Pear Gelato. It was delicious and had a unique texture. I will return in the future to try the Chocolate flavor. The line was long but the moved fast so it only took about five minutes to get my choice.

This place is such a gem, and it's a great addition to the area! :) The gelato tastes so good, and there are so many fun rotating flavors to choose from. The owner is also such a standout; she has been so friendly every time I've come by. She is so passionate and kind! Coming here is a great experience all around!

We came here a few days ago ! best ice cream in the state! My whole fam loves it it's so good

Sorbet: blackcurrant & lemon Gelato: orange creamsicle & vanilla

We came to this cute spot just a few minutes before closing while walking around the area. We asked for recommendations and the staff were so friendly with pairing different flavors. The blackcurrant sorbet is definitely something new and it paired deliciously with the lemon. The orange creamsicle was also amazing with the vanilla. We will be coming here often for sure!!

We were for dinner in one of the restaurants in Old Town and decided to skip ordering dessert to grab gelato at Millie's.

You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, and it's easy to see why Venchi has built such a strong reputation. Liliana was incredibly kind and helpful, offering plenty of samples so I could find the perfect combination. The gelato is clearly made with care, and the overall experience feels like a little slice of Italy. Definitely a spot worth savoring and coming back to.

I had actually been to a couple of Venchi locations in airports for chocolate, but hadn't realize they served gelato and had never had theirs. It was a very strange experience, though. We walk up to the ice cream counter to look at the flavors and they say we have to stand behind the register. We inquire as to whether we can taste flavors and they say yes, but only after you've purchased your ice cream. The issue with that is how do I know if I want one or two flavors until after I've tasted the gelato? I assume kids were coming in and tasting a bunch without buying anything, but then ask for a deposit or something. It doesn't make any sense to not be able to look at or taste the flavors before you have to order. I only tasted two flavors because they were making me so uncomfortable, and selected the second one I tasted--a dark chocolate flavor that wasn't honestly pretty darn excellent. So 5 stars for the actual taste (and their chocolates) and minus a star for the service.

Stumbled into the cutest little breakfast/lunch/dessert gem and immediately wanted to stay all…read moreafternoon The vibe is cozy-modern with pastries staring at you from the counter saying 'you know you want one.' I ordered the lavender latte (SO good -- floral without tasting like soap ) and the breakfast burrito, which was hearty, fresh, and exactly what I wanted with coffee. My friend got an iced tea served in the most charming mason jar setup that somehow made it taste even more refreshing. One of my favorite touches: you order at the counter and if you're dining in, they hand you an adorable little street sign marker for your table while they bring your food out. Such a fun detail that adds to the whole experience. Also... the pastry case deserves its own fan club. Between the croissants, muffins, cookies, and gelato, self-control is truly tested here. Perfect spot for a casual brunch, coffee catch-up, or treating yourself to dessert after a long day. If I lived closer I'd definitely add this one to my regular rotation.

Wow! This place is so much bigger than I thought it would be, having only seen it from the outside…read more-- and they have so many things, too! Lots of seating, cool-looking lighting, a great selection of drinks, yummy gelato (I tried the Cherry Blossom -- amazing!), soups, salads, sandwiches, pastries, oh my goodness! The staff are all very nice and welcoming, too .... When I went it was quiet but I hear it can get very crowded and at certain times, the only two upstairs tables are reserved for a runners' group. There are (rather steep, if only a few) stairs and also a ramp to get to the downstairs area, but the ramp is rather long and involves having to make a 180 degree turn. I think it's doable for those who can walk it but if one is using a wheelchair, I'm not so sure because there is a table in the space where some part of a chair-on-wheels might go -- so in other words, if the chair is very narrow, okay! If not, I think maybe not .... I didn't actually measure it, but it just seemed a little narrow to me. The bathrooms have really cool tiles in them, and there is a lot of stony texture on the exterior wall. There are some pretty, inspiring black-and-white paintings and at least one quote painted on the walls outside the bathrooms -- I like these kinds of touches a lot. I found the tomato soup to be much more filling and satisfying than expected, having forgotten one could become quite full on such a dish. I took much of it home and enjoyed it at room temperature on the porch a bit later in the day, so I can attest to the fact that this soup is delicious both hot and cooled down. I was surprised by the taste of the toasted cheese and was informed by my more-astute-than-I dining partner that all their bread is gluten-free. I hadn't noticed. I'm not sure exactly how it normally comes because seeing that they had basil, I requested a leaf and got a very nice-looking sprig! So very fresh, wow! This (early-ish spring) is probably a rather perfect time to enjoy the available outdoor seating area -- maybe I will next time .... I'm especially glad to know that my old fave Filipino grocery store that used to be on this corner has been converted into such a worthwhile, pretty, welcoming, and community-building hub! :-D Overall, highly recommended! Major Yay! :-D

The addition of red velvet cream cheese frosting + red velvet cake crumbs, really makes it taste like you're eating a cold but rich & SMOOTH helping of red velvet cake~ :) The Passionfruit drinks have two varieties: the Passionfruit Szechuan Matcha with milk, or the Passion Matcha Soda with soda water. I definitely enjoyed the Soda version more, it's not that sweet and more of a refreshing drink, I feel the flavors popped there and the milk version were a bit muted. Lastly I need to give a shout out to the staff, they are amazing here. So friendly and welcoming. As I saw them interacting with regulars & locals, the vibes were just warm and on-point, which is something we definitely need more of at these DC cafes during these trying times~
