I like all the brick inside and the local artwork for sale. It has a cozy feeling and provides indoor and outside seating. Outside seating is always a bonus! I ordered a flavored latte ( tasted like a holiday!) And a breakfast burrito with cheese and egg and bacon. I ate less than half (it would be a perfect size to share) to heat up later. It was really good..eggs were fluffy and I liked that the bacon was alittle crispy. Could have used alittle more bacon but still filling! My fiance and I moved to Oroville and this is where we went probably the first 2 months, and we never left there without people staring at us, looking like they wanted to Rob us, grab me, harass me or harass both the bus. It was always a very sketchy place to go but then we found Smart & Final just down the road. When we started chatting with some of the employees at Smart & Final and told them we're so happy to find it, they asked where we had been shopping and when we said food max they basically cocked, and said that you two actually stepped foot in foodmaxx?? They were completely in shock we would go to such a grotesque store with such disgusting patrons. Definitely will never step foot in a FoodMaxx again, as long as that smart and final is in oroville. God about two bags more of groceries for the same type of stuff we got our food max for about 50 to $75 cheaper than FoodMaxx as well

Good fresh selection of fruits and vegetables. They also have a bakery along with wine and beer. Hard alcohol also available. The only issue is there was a couple of homeless out front. This is a constant issue in Oroville. I visit here but I live in Nevada County. I went pretty early and it was not crowded. You do bag your groceries which is not a big deal. Fresh and not hard to chew ! I went out of my way to get more jerkey for the road which included apple jerkey...garlic pepper jerkey and more teriyaki jerkey! The seasoning is just right, and the flavor and texture is perfect! I am hooked! Great for snacking and well packaged for traveling. Everyone is so friendly there...especially ELY!
